▪︎ GROJBAND: ROCK & REMIX - MEET CARRIE BEFF !!

Carrie Beff:

Everything has been going wrong for Carrie. First, she was rejected from her dream university. Then, her band split up, leaving her in the dust. Then her girlfriend betrayed her trust, and they broke up as a result. At her lowest of lows, Carrie has spent months wallowing in her own pity, feeling as if the world has left her behind. This manifests into her channeling all of her feelings into her music, and she eventually drags herself from the hole she has dug herself, becoming a solo musician. And this music? It’s good. So good, that she is invited to perform at a music showcase in Anarchy City! Seeing this as her chance at redemption, Carrie sets off on the endeavour… only to find herself face to face with the fact that her ex-girlfriend is now friends with GrojBand !

GROJBAND: ROCK & REMIX - MEET COREY RIFFIN & LANEY PENN

Corey Riffin:

Corey Riffin is the frontman of GrojBand, singing vocals and playing lead guitar. He's a music major at ACUA, and is taking as many songwriting classes as he can, because even if he's been trying to write songs based off of his speeches instead of Trina's diary, he's still got a lot of progress to make. Corey's classmates all love his enthusiasm and the antics which he brings to the music focus class, and think that he has a promising future career, both in his band, and as a solo artist. Corey's been trying his best to expand his skills beyond music, getting into skateboarding, doodling, and card tricks. Corey is determined to make his band even bigger now that they're no longer in small-town Peaceville, getting as many gigs for GrojBand as possible, with no end to the crazy antics involved in getting new lyrics. Corey has been dating Laney for just over one year, and couldn't be happier after years of their mutual pining. To Corey, Anarchy City is the next big place to make his oyster, and he is determined to make GrojBand a big success !

Laney Penn:

Laney Penn is the bassist of GrojBand, self-proclaimed Band Manager, and a Make-Up and Practical Effects focus at ACUA. While keeping her tomboy style and flair, Laney has begun to embrace her more feminine hobbies, which lead her to an interest in make-up. While her specialty is horror-inspired, Laney can whip up any look, making a lot of female friends for the first time in her life, while still going strong with a lot of her guy friends. Laney loves baby animals, and volunteers at the Anarchy City Pound in her spare time. Laney has been dating Corey for just over a year, which to her, is like a dream come true. Laney's signature sarcasm remains strong, and she's always ready to wrangle in her band, or join in the fun, as they aim to make their band go big while managing studies and other duties which require her focus.

▪︎ GROJBAND: ROCK & REMIX - MEET TRINA RIFFIN !!

Trina Riffin:

Trina has been distant from everyone since she moved out of Peaceville at age 19. Trina’s discovered her talent with words, and is putting it to good use at her new job in Ditherpolis as a journalist. She’s been trying to better herself and step away from her codependent behaviour, by avoiding making any friends in the first place, using her snooty nature and newfound “maturity” to keep people away from her, and out of her life. …But when Corey contacts her again, for the first time in years, sounding almost desperate for her help, she reluctantly meets up with her brother to hear out his “problems”.

GROJBAND: ROCK & REMIX - MEET KIM KAGAMI !!

Kim Kagami:

Kim Kagami has a hard time making friends. A Games Design student at ACUA, Kim was the only member of her band, the Newmans, to be accepted into the university, which eventually resulted in her losing the band, as well as her now ex, Carrie Beff. Kim journeyed into adult life, without the aid of her sister and friends, which proved rough for her. To people she doesn't know, Kim can come off as rude, closed-off, and possessive, especially in regards to people spending time with her sister, but those who get to know her are quick to find out she is talkative, anxious, curious, and almost naive in nature, and uses a lot of her surface traits as a crutch or coping mechanism. A semester into her time at ACUA, Kim meets and makes friends with Laney, who invites her to spend some time with GrojBand- which at first, goes badly. Through a lot of hard work, and effort, Kim eventually makes friends with GrojBand, becoming an honorary member of sorts, sometimes even joining them on stage on rhythm guitar! Kim finally feels happy with herself and her friendships, but she worries what her old friends, especially Carrie, will think about these new developments.

▪︎ GROJBAND: ROCK & REMIX - MEET KIN KUJIRA & KON KUJIRA !!

Kin Kujira:

Kin Kujira plays the keyboard for GrojBand, and is attending ACUA for engineering. A self-proclaimed inventor, Kin spends lots of his free time tinkering with and inventing new gadgets, to help with Grojband's gigs, or to aid in their daily lives. Kin's kooky personality and eccentric whims make people wary of him, but those who choose to be his friend are in for a wild ride.

Kon Kujira:

Kon Kujira is on drums for Grojband, and makes costumes for their gigs, as a part of his work for his fashion design focus at ACUA. While Kon's interest in making clothing came as a surprise to many, his dedication and care for the craft is immense- to the point that he makes all of his own clothes! Despite this, Kon is still unapologetically himself, with his crazy, dim-witted tendencies remaining intact, and his big heart allows him to see the best in every person he meets.
