Unpopular opinion but I don’t mind Luke with Antonia. I mean he’s been with her for over a year. He obviously likes her and it was good to see him more at ease in a high stress public appearance, I think that’s because he had A there. I hope we can all learn to stop hating on her. As one of the OG’s of this ship, I am still not over the gaslighting attempts of Tom and Z for all those years. Literally our ship was tiny back then compared to what Tomdaya fandom is now.

And still, majority of Tomdaya shippers today still believe T and Z’s lying words on not having dated before 2020, so they are also the ones who constantly go “aww, they are the epitome of best friends to lovers slow-burn”. When there was actually no fucking slow burn because Ms Z asked him out asap and couldn’t wait to get in his pants and their infatuation with each other was quick and mutual. So, yeah, this shit has been sailing since late 2016 but those who believe this are still a small number of people compared to the current large fandom.

I know at this point Tom and Z admitting they blatantly lied then is not something on their top to-do list , cause I am sure they do not mind it as much as we do, if most people think they didn’t date until 2020/2021. They probably like how it was sick they got to fool so many people and got away with dating under people’s noses. But it still freaking annoys me, and I hope one day they spill it in an interview, even if it happens ten years down the line, like in 2034 or something . I don’t care when. But I want my “told you so” moment to these idiots in the social media comments.

And every time under some random post, among shippers, you can see most are still either clueless about their actual timeline or foolishly believing TZ’s lies about them being “just friends” and believing TZ’s fake “confirmation” that they didn’t date then. And they are painting Tom as the poor simp who waited for Z on the sidelines while she went through the likes of Jacob until finally deciding to give Tom a chance. Awww, poor short king Tom finally got Z after six years of being friend-zoned and secretly pining after her and crying in his sleep. This is basically the gist of the scenario they believe in. 🙄🙄🙄

okay while I do think they had a rough patch in their amicable split (that comes naturally tbh, they’re heartbroken teenagers!!!! being away from the one they love most for the first time in a long time), they definitely had some sorta attachment even tho they were broken up. enough for azzi (and paige sometimes) to be leaving flirty comments on TikToks (“I officially miss you come back 💗���), and don’t forget we also had azzi surprising paige on her birthday to say she’s committing! and we also got the little “after dinner was fun…😏😊🙃” moment from their slam interview. yeah something was definitely going on even then, and it wasn’t platonic. and whenever they reunited during those times I see the resolve breaking and them just, yk…not platonic.

I see little cracks starting appear a little after that, up until azzi gets to CT. interactions are more mellow, p was seen with other girls etc. what happened in my opinion too, is that azzi comes to uconn they try their best to stay “best friends” and fail. I mean paige’s longing in the slam interview actually makes me tear up, azzi seemed more reserved but if you look close enough princess was yearning too. they just wanted (needed) each other so bad. they definitely had a few weak moments and got with each other during this time. now we’ve heard azzi was in a very lose relationship/situationship with someone else from late ‘21 to early spring ‘22. p was not seen with other girls during this time/since azzi got to school, even. she never really was with anyone in the first place, just multiple hookups with one girl at the most, so pleaseeeee drop the player p allegations, my girl went through a phase when her heart was broken but she has been so in love with her azzi since she was 15 :(

anywho, azzi ends her super casual relationship around march ‘22, and that’s when p&a start their exclusive/only seeing each other situationship. now there’s debates as to when they officially start being girlfriends again, and I see all these of the most popular opinions tbh: around P’s injury, early 2023, or mid-late 2023. but anon on another blog said something along the lines of they might as well have been officially dating regardless. whatever theory you believe, they have only been with each other and LOCKED IN since early spring of ‘22, so what they called themselves doesn’t really matter at all if you think about it. now I feel they’re way more open, private but not a secret/iykyk kinda thing. they, nor their friends/family/teammates are hiding it at all. they’re not rubbing it in everyone’s faces either. which is why they remind me SO MUCH of tomdaya. those two dated 2016- mid 2019, broke up and got back together around august of 2020 (so pazzi I coded ijbol). they resolved the issues of their relationship/the problems they had hiding it and took a much more mature approach the second time around. look at them now ENGAGED GONNA BE MARRIED!!!! which is what we’re seeing with paige and azzi now, they’re so much more relaxed and open, and I assume this will only grow once p gets drafted. they’re not gonna be making out in everyone’s faces, posting each other constantly? but like tom and z, they will let it be known they love each other. cute public appearances and posts every now and again.

holy shit this is long, but in conclusion they’re both so in love with each other and have been since they were in their sophomore and junior years of hs and it makes me so emotional pass me a napkin I need to wipe my tears :(

oh i've always thought this. there was definitely a dependency there even though they tried to act nonchalant as hell. especially paige. from what she was doing with her playlists and how she was on social media, she was struggling bad with being without azzi. possibly from being with her for so long or just having a soul tie. like she was tied to a and it was painful to be apart from her. same thing with az. your timeline is chefs kiss. it's exactly how i feel. the slipping up WAS DEF a big thing that was happening with them. i mean they're soulmates. you tell me if your soulmate was at school with you, around you all the time, and you already had a confusing, strained relationship you wouldn't want to jump their bones all the time? well it's the same with pazzi to me. just them going to school together definitely opened a lot of wounds and made the emotion turn to intimacy. it could also be a lot of angsty, angry energy around them. having soul ties to your situationship is just something else. poor paige and azzi. also, they were very love very young. that's a different type of feeling. especially if they're your first everything. i think there was a lot of emotions and feelings surrounding that aspect of whatever weird ish they had going on. the tomdaya similarities to pazzi just scratches my brain absolutely so good. i was a huge tomdaya stan and watching them progress over the last few years has been so surreal. i see pazzi doing the exact thing. private but not a secret but like locked the fuck in and married. they truly are so lucky. they've loved each other for almost 8 years. finding your soulmate at 15 years old is sooooo romantic novel coded. like i'm about to make a book about them because they are truly the perfect story.

I still think that there was some miscommunication during the start of their breakup in 2019 with Tom thinking that it was permanent and Z thinking it was just hiccup. Tom and Z talk about Tom being impulsive and dramatic and she may have thought he was just in one of his moods and would get over it. Zs people were following Harry, Sam and Haz after the FFH premiere. Claire followed Harry on July 16! That's not something done after a fresh breakup from a long term relationship. And then July 17 came and Z finally understood that it was just not a hiccup. That's when we saw her stuck at her home with friends staying over, her wearing the MJ sweater, playing the Spidey game. That's also when we get Darnell's then bf unfollowing Tom. And we have Tom himself saying that his heart was broken and that it was his fault and that his superpower is apologizing

Idk if I would put TOO much weight into the fact that their people didn't immediately unfollow each other, because there are tons of celebs now that I know of that still follow their exes, and still follow even their exes family members and their family members still follow their exes family.

I think we all agree that it was Tom who broke things off. So yea, maybe he meant it to be permanent (hence, him getting spotted with Olivia), and maybe Z didn't really think it was permanent.

I always say that breakups aren't usually black and white. He was still going to set with her on euphoria, remember? That was the last sighting before he left on the plane to go back to London.

They could have been having issues and then broke up, or, they could have broken up quietly around April/May (like Tomdaya Lore states), but being around each other during the FFH press tour brought up unresolved feelings, yet still wanted to be friends for the sake of the press tour, but they ended up just giving up completely before Tom flew back home.

I think he flew to Japan or smthg first (right?) for press, and then flew to London, and then that's when we saw him and Olivia. I'll have to look at the timeline again to make sure I gave the facts straight lol but yea. 😅

I don't think breakups are ever cut and dry, especially when you've been dating someone for over a year. I think there are a lot of nuances there sometimes, especially if there was a deep love and friendship there.
