voldemort/hepzibah smith? only if he got a payrise for doing it.

tomcest:

tomcest should appeal to me - and frequently does - because if there's anyone who would consider the only suitable partner for himself to be - well - himself, it's lord voldemort.

but.

i am someone who is quite critical of the default sexual dynamics in a lot of voldemort-centric slash [especially tomarrymort], which i often find to replicate a lot of heteronormative ideas about queer sex. voldemort is generally written as exclusively topping, largely - it seems - because many authors and readers equate taking that position with being in control of/more powerful than the bottom.

i prefer a dark lord who'll try anything, because enjoying getting railed doesn't make you any less capable of being a terrorist. and, luckily, there are lots of fics which feel the same way, and i've had lots of great conversations with other voldemort enjoyers about it.

but, one thing i think is worth being aware of is that a significant percentage of bottom!voldemort fics are tomcest, which - in my opinion - kind of defeats the point of saying that bottoming doesn't automatically require a relinquishing of power or a choice of passivity - obviously voldemort would be prepared to be passive with himself.

what i'd like to see more of is a voldemort who doesn't think the way he likes to get fucked reveals passivity at all, whether he's with himself or not, but atm i'm finding tomcest isn't entirely bringing it to me.

i reckon this would be quite mutually fulfilling, actually. they do caretaker/headmistress role-play. i.e. their jobs.

It's funny, some of those WIPs are beyond deceased at this point 🥲. I reckon I start a new one every 2 weeks on average.

Pinocchio [not dead!]: this is a tomdraco, dracomort (and possibly tomcest) fic that I'm working on atm. Set in a Voldemort Wins AU several years post-canon with a Death Eater!Draco and a Horcrux!Tom.

Duty [to write]: arranged marriage tomdraco AU fic. Well, arranged marriage for Draco, marriage of convenience for Tom.

Anti Down and Out [debating finishing]: this was honestly just me scribbling a bit to express my doubt about the common drarry trope of Draco losing it all and becoming destitute and hated. I've read some excellent fics with this trope, but I am cynical about how the 'punishment' of the Malfoys would play out in reality. Rich people fail upward and have safety nets larger than anything us peasants can comprehend.

Note: TTC = The Travelling Cabinet

TTC 3 [debating finishing]: this is a very short post-Bluebeard fic from Rosier POV at Abraxas Malfoy's birthday party.

TTC 4 [to write]: this is set a few years after Bluebeard & was inspired by a commenter on said fic. Tom, Draco, Septimus and Cedrella go on a camping trip to Albania (so that Tom can retrieve the diadem). Tom POV.

A Home [backburner idk]: I had to go into my WIPs to figure out what this was 😂

It's a Tom Jr & Tom Sr gen piece where Tom Jr finds Sr after first year rather than after 5th, so he's not quite capable of AKing him yet.

U1 [abandoned]: this one is... tomarry. Muggle university AU? Idk I wrote it a very long time ago and it was what convinced me I could never write tomarry. Harry is a struggle for me in general tbh.

Learned a life lesson here: any hole can be stuffed, you just need some imagination y'all.

Fuck tentacles, ugly men & weird-ass creatures with gigantic horse dicks - give me sub laptops/pcs getting dominated by their puny usb cable daddies!

I digress. So, I turned on my 2nd laptop which is on life-support - it never asked to be an accessory to producing hardcore incest material between Tom and his hot daddy Riddle sr, btw. But, like come on! What's better than one hot, mentally maladjusted Tom Riddle? Two of course! But, we also experienced joy together when I succeeded. That fucker made me feel like an art god when it reflected how I envisioned the smut to be. I'm not ready to end this toxic relationship, I thought I'd be.

I was all 'yeah, I'm sooo stage 4 already! I only need the Huion employee to gaslight me into buying their newest, shiny model to reach stage 5!' I'm 30, a grandma according to annoying (affectionate) internet youngsters. My body can't handle eating only instant ramen for 4 months anymore. My roaring 20s are a bygone era and for once I choose to practice some self-care, to love myself even!

For once, I was about to make an adult decision and... wait. To save up the money - to accept that I'll be a temporary full-time traditional wannabe weird-ass hentai artist with a shitty phone camera... but thank god I don't have to! 3. what work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

i'm not sure, but right now it's probably an even split between closer and anabiosis. they're both very much character studies and i've found that i really like doing those! and of course the opportunity for (torture) porn is always a plus.

17. your favourite character to write this year?

MIGUELITOOOOO i think you knew this one was coming XDDD. but just. yeah. he's so interesting i love playing with him <333 don't get me wrong, i like vee as well (and writing petunia has proven to be very interesting!) but right now it's miguel and his tits on the brain all the way.

30. biggest surprise while writing this year?

being accused of copying a fic, and everything that happened after, to be honest. was not expecting that at all.

in a more positive way, spiderverse in itself was a big ol surprise for me! i've been solidly one fandom for half my life, same with shipping generally, only really changing fandoms or ships when i also lost interest in whatever i was doing previously. that's changed!

i'm still a tomarrymort guy in my heart of hearts, but along with adding tomcest and tomarry sr to the list of ships (and petvee, which... uh. yeah don't ask), i've begun being really interested in everything spiderverse! and i'm honestly a miguelbowl shipper. whatever you call that these days. basically he can get fucked by anyone on earth and i'll be interested XD
