TAMEN (SPAIN) [Subtle Audio, Repertoire, Jungle Jungle]
soundcloud.com/tamen / mixcloud.com/tamen
Tamen is a Barcelona based artist recently relocated to Melbourne who has been bringing his energetic DJ sets to cities such as Auckland, Berlin, Dublin, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Paris and Romania since 2000. He has shared the stage with artists such as Bladerunner, Ed Solo, Felix K, Flight, Fracture, Hype, Om Unit and Remarc to name but a few. Tamen represents Subtle Audio Recordings as an international DJ, which has been at the forefront of releasing forward thinking, breakbeat driven Drum'n'Bass for the last 10 years. It has co-released an album with Aphex Twin's Rephlex label and receives regular DJ support from names as diverse as Bailey (Metalheadz), Thom York (Radiohead), Mary Anne Hobbs as well as Aphex Twin himself. As a producer Tamen's recent colab with Ricky Force was released on vinyl worldwide and quickly sold out on London's Repertoire label, and has received much love and rewinds internationally from the top DJs such as UK's Digital, Sam Binga, Om Unit, Stretch and Double O among many others. He has previously released on Melting Pot Records and Anticlockwise, and has much more music forthcoming in 2017. He has promoted jungle/drum and bass as well as bass music since 2005 with Surco & Jungle Jungle, bringing a multitude of guests such as Fabio, Martyn, Phace, Presha (Samurai Records), Sabre (Ivy Lab), Sam Binga, Scuba and Spirit among many others to Barcelona for the first time.
 JOR TERROR (NL) [P.O.R.N.]
Jor first began DJing parties while attending high school in Holland in 1998. Always in the habit of playing faster hardcore tracks like Nasenbluten's 'Cuntface', he was thus dubbed with the name 'Jor Terror' to help a punter know exactly what one should expect from his sets. Having played seminal Dutch events including P.O.R.N. (Akira), Noisekiks Verouderings Process & Terrormachine. In 2003 (along with two other crew members) Jor started to also promote his own shows. Mainly spinning oldschool Terror and Hardcore with a focus on 93-94 era tunes (the period when nobody knew exactly what they were doing, a predicament which usually ends up resulting in the best music). Expect an expertly spun selection of 90's Terrorcore & Hardcore classics.
 UNSOUNDBWOY [Croaking Lizard]
soundcloud.com/unsoundbwoy / mixcloud.com/unsoundbwoy Unsoundbwoy is a local DJ, producer and junglist. His live sets draw from the heavier, faster and more playful ends of the spectrum and
always feature original material alongside old school and new school jungle vibes. A big fan of dancehall and its jungle crossover, his performances rinse dubplate specials and collaborations with vocalists including Burro Banton, Million Styles, Lady Chann, Tanya Stevens, Sk Simeon, Yaw Faso and the living legend Jimmy Riley. Genre-spanning and immensely talented.
 FOUNDATION STEPPER [Croaking Lizard]
mixcloud.com/FoundationStepper / croakinglizard.com/foundation_stepper
Foundation Stepper has selected a mix of dubwise, jungle and reggae beats out and about and around Melbourne since 2001. His reggae, dub and downbeat residencies and support slots include gigs with The Red Eyes, Chant Down, Ruffneck Souljahs, The Bug, The Mars Volta, Stivs, Ghost,
Livewire and Dialekt. He has also played gigs in NZ and Japan, appearing at Disco Beans, Osaka as well as some other venue where the reggae heads were quite confused by what he was playing. His reggae sets sway towards a roots focus, foundation era tunes and nuff 70's dubwise, with a
healthy serving of tricky dancehall riddims and outernational dub and ragga experiments. He often indulges in leftfield dub experiments, moving into abstract electronic noises and other glitchy beats. Also sometimes playing as 'The Sockmonster' for more abstracted dub and raggacore bleep focused work, for a Foundation Stepper jungle set you can expect a polyrhythmic mash-up of new school ragga sounds, toxic dancehall and concrete jungle with smatterings of breakcore, dub bass
and eleven secret herbs and spices.
 HYBRYD [Collective Force]
collectiveforce.bandcamp.com / soundcloud.com/collectiveforce
DJing since the mid 90's, Hybryd's earliest sets were at two of Melbourne's first jungle club nights, 'Junglizm' and 'Riddems'. In 1994 Hybryd went on to found the Collective Force crew and 'Junglistic Riddemz' events. Promoting and playing many of the bigger jungle nights that have happened in Melbourne over the decades, he has personally been responsible for bringing out internationals to Melbourne including Remarc, Bizzy B, Outrage (aka Nomine) & Dial M (aka Dialekt). Now also producing his own music and soon moving permanently to the United States, this may well be one of his last shows in Melbourne. Hybryd is one of the few Melbourne DJs who not only plays exclusively vinyl mixes but also keeps up with purchasing all the latest jungle and choppage record releases.
 ZERO1 [LoFreq]
soundcloud.com/countjigga
Zero1 has played at many house parties and nightclubs over the years, including internet radio station UKRumble in 2001 and BBC 1xtra's 'Breakin' New Talent' show by DJ Flight in 2006. A stalwart of the UK rave scene, Zero1 moved to Melbourne and eventually started playing warehouse parties. A fan of the odd bit of hip hop but his heart's main focus is jungle/drum and bass. A massive vinyl-only jungle and dnb selector that is always on point.
TOKYO-NOIR [Ground Mass, Detrimental, Dynasty Shit]
soundcloud.com/tokyonoir
Hailing from Melbourne's diverse bass music and dance scene, and heavily influenced by the 90s golden era of House, Techno and Rave, Tokyo-Noir channels these influences through thumping Footwork rhythms and technical Jungle editing. Having already released tracks through labels
such as Ground Mass, Detrimental Audio and Dynasty Shit to name a few, and with several EPs slated for release in early 2017 Tokyo-Noir is eager to make his mark on the scene both nationally and internationally. Prepare your feet for some jungle juke!
 LEXECUTIONER [LoFreq, 40Hz, Realtime]
soundcloud.com/lexisonit / mixcloud.com/lexecutioner
So much can be said for being at the right place at the right time with the right people. Little did Lex suspect that hearing jungle techno one wild night in '94 would forever change the way he was as a human being. The intense beats, menacing sub bass, the vibe, the dance floor, the lasers, the people, the thrill of it all being relatively unexplored and untainted let us dive head first into what some may consider one of the pivotal moments for our generation in that decade - when the rave took hold and showed no signs of letting go. And to think we kept feeding it and kept feeding it!!!!!! Arguably one of the best DJs in Melbourne, the Lexecutioner has consistently been smashing raves, parties and club nights with a range of beat-filled music with a focus on deep, heavy and atmospheric jungle and drum and bass (among other styles). Expect a hard
selection of new and old jungle, techstep and associated goodness.
 KYMAERA [Oscillate Bass, Detrimental]
soundcloud.com/kymaera / mixcloud.com/christopher-kymaera /
soundcloud.com/oscillate-bass
Originally hailing from Tasmania and arriving in Melbourne in 1999, Kymaera quickly discovered the pounding rhythms of drum and bass and soon began his obsession with collecting vinyl records and making electronic music. He started playing at house parties and the club night 'Bass Art' before founding his own crew, Oscillate Bass. Since that time he has been hosting bass and drum and bass events in Melbourne, supporting local talent and focusing on 'down to earth' party vibes.
Kymaera's first production release was on the Detrimental Audio record label. Kymaera has an unbreakable passion for music and focuses on implanting this love into his DJ sets and productions. He also studies graphic design and creates poster art for various club events. A man to watch, spinning choice jungle & dnb tunes and an up and coming producer.
 DDSemar
Musician, selector, collector, artist and professional chef. An established jungle and reggae selector who carefully blends the finest in roots and bass music from his exceptional collection. An analog
fanatic and one of the top jungle DJs in Melbourne, DD has played scores of epic sets and events over the decades past. You can surely predict some hard and tasty jungle tunes to be mashed up for his set.
 ASYLUM
soundcloud.com/asylumdnb
Always dropping tunes that are both heavy and fun, Asylum is arguably one of the most adventurous DJs in Melbourne. Often moving from breaks through to drum'n bass into breakcore and hardcore along with unexpected surprises and diversions along the way, Asylum is not afraid to take risks while focusing on technical proficiency in her sets. Hard, dark and heavy are the words you can expect to use to describe Asylum's set.
 GROSE (Brazil)
mixcloud.com/Grose / house-mixes.com/profile/Grose%20ROX
Grose is a DJ, beatmaker and radio host hailing from the streets of São Paulo, Brazil. Immersed in the sprawling city's underground hip hop, graffiti and skating cultures from a young age. He developed a particular passion for turntablism and scratching, taking inspiration from DJ Marky (Bra), DJ Andy (Bra) and DJ Craze (NCA). In the mid 90's Grose heard DnB for the first time and never looked back. Since then he began DJing and producing in the early 2000's, performing at underground parties including Boca, Executive Bar and Drum and Bassbecue as well as producing hip hop tunes for independent artists including Loud Pack Zack (US), Seth (Bra) and Ricardo Bala (Bra). Only arriving for the first time in Australia at the end of 2016, Grose has already teamed up with local MC Nick Riviera and assaulted Melbourne dancefloors at the FRL Festival, events at the Sub Club and Radio Bar's DnB Mondays. Grose has no intentions of letting up on smashing dancefloors anytime soon. A diversely-interested DJ and producer, for this set you may find tunes
ranging anywhere from jungle (both old and new) to amen-focused neurofunk - a name to definitely watch out for.
 NINJA GAIJIN [Toxemia, Subterfuge Seminars]
soundcloud.com/ninja-gaijin / mixcloud.com/djninjagaijin
Founder of The Grey Sea & Subterfuge Seminars, Ben 'Ninja Gaijin' Tannu began playing in indie rock, improvised harsh guitar noise & crust-grind bands in 1997. Always passionate about music, he has worked in organising and promoting parties, zine writing, music journalism/photography, hosting community radio shows, coding and maintaining band web-sites, band performances, DJing, sound engineering, freestyle/written rapping and Tuvan/Mongolian style throat singing. In
2005 focus shifted from bands to solo work in electronic productions and DJ performance. After various projects and aliases, he now finds himself performing under the name Ninja Gaijin. His music and DJ sets attempt to juxtapose and fuse as many eclectic tones and rhythms into as short a space of time as possible, allowing a focus on lack of repetition as well as an aim towards unexpected variations in maximalism. For this set you can safely say there will be a distinct focus on Doom/Dark Jungle - choppage, drumfunk and techstep with amens aplenty.
INFECTIOUS UNEASE (Infectious Unease radio, Noir Corps, Subterranean Zone)
infectiousuneaseradio.com/mixcloud.com/infectiousuneaseradio-djinfect/ https://hearthis.at/djinfectiousunease/
DJing since 1989, has been hosting Infectious Unease Radio since 1992 and soon will being hosting a on line radio show on Planet Rave London.  Has a band project called Noir Corps. Infectious Unease loves to explore a plethora of sound with no fear of delivering a surprise. However for this there are no surprises required - you can safely prepare to be infected by heavyweight new and old jungle, darkstep, selections.
