December 2, 2019

Taking a deep breath, she starts the vLIVE and leans back, bringing the camera closer to her. Peering down at the chat, she smiles slowly as she notices the wave of BLINKs saying ‘hi!’, ‘you look so pretty’ and other nice comments in all languages.

“Hey, guys,” she greets in Korean first and then English, waving to the camera. “We’ll wait a few more seconds so more people can come.” She pushes her bangs out of her eyes, trying to keep up with the comments. After a few seconds, she’s satisfied and says, “OK, hey guys,” she waves again. “Sorry it’s late, I wanted to do it earlier but ...” She shrugged, “Schedules call.”

Her eyes squint to read a comment, “Give us a hint on what Cider is like. Um,” her nose scrunches as she looks off to the side of the camera before looking back. “So, it’s kind of different than what BLACKPINK’s songs are like.” She hesitates before continuing, “It’s ... I think it shows a different side of me, kind of ... Ah, how do I say this? Confrontational, but I love it, and so I hope you guys do, too.” She nods her head, smiling slightly.

“Are you planning on dying your hair?” Nari laughs at the question and shakes her head, “No! It needs to heal for a while so it’s staying brown.” She giggles again, “But, everyone ... You guys are always talking about my forehead, right?” She watches the comments explode with an agreement and smiles, “My bangs will be mostly pinned back for my debut, and I think we’re going to try and grow them out.” She leans her head down, shaking her hair out to where her bangs show, “They don’t look the best, because I haven’t been trimming them but yeah, they’ve grown out.” She laughs, “I can barely see.” She pushes her bangs back away from her forehead.

“Sneak peek!” She reads outloud and shakes her head, smiling. “No, you can wait until the seventh!” Nari then reads, “Where are you? Yah, didn’t you see the fansite pictures?” She giggles, “Kidding, kidding. The girls and I are in Tokyo for our concert on the fourth. Oh! Who is all coming to the concert?” She waits a few seconds before smiling again, nodding her head and switches to Japanese. “Cool, I hope you guys all enjoy! I can’t wait to see you all.”

“Speak English please,” she reads in English and laughs a little. “OK, OK, I will. I can’t forget about international BLINKs.” She reads another comment in English and tries to stifle a laugh as she repeats it, “Nari, your English is so good. I’d hope so, I was born in America.” She sighs quietly then, focusing on the chat and switches back to Korean quickly, “Where are the other girls? Um, I think Jisoo-unnie is sleeping already, Rosé-unnie might be settling down to sleep. Jennie and Lisa are probably taking a shower right now-- separately,” she adds quickly, laughing a bit. “I took one earlier.”

Nari rubs her eyes, blinking before looking back to the chat, repeating a comment outloud, “What’s your favorite movie? Um ... recently we watched Doctor Sleep, and I really liked it so probably that one.” Her phone vibrated on the bed next to her and she peered over it, her lips forming into a smile before she looked back at the camera. “Have you eaten today? Yes, actually, I ate breakfast with the girls-- it was a fried egg sandwich, and then ...” She trails off, her face forming into a thoughtful look. “I don’t remember eating lunch but I did have a snack around that time while we were on the plane, so ... Yeah. But I did eat dinner, Miso Soup. It was good.”

She runs her hand through her hair, smoothing the tangles out before sighing, glancing away from the camera again. She cracks her knuckles and leans forward, staring into the camera. “OK, guys, I think it’s time for me to go to bed! We have a long day tomorrow before the concert, and I don’t want to be tired all day.” She giggles, “Thank you for joining me, have a good day slash night! Love you BLINKs,” she blows an air kiss towards the camera before she reaches over to turn it off.

“May I ask why we had to bring her along?” Changbin asked as soon as they entered the gym room. Barely any people were in there.

“Because I wanted to come, Seo.”

“You don’t even like working out, Galindo.”

“So? I had nothing else to do at the dorms.”

Changbin was about to say something until Chan opened his mouth to speak. “That’s enough, please.” He chuckled.

He knew if it wasn’t for him interrupting them, they would still be going at it.

“Whatever, let me stretch before I do anything.” Mia said before laying out her yoga mat. She sat down having her legs in front of her then reached to touch the top of her shoes.

As she was stretching, the other two boys went ahead to start on their workout. Chan was at the bench press while Changbin was doing some pulldown exercise.

When Mia was done with her stretching, she stood up walking over to a barbell that was on the floor.

“Can you even pick it up?” Changbin said from behind her. A smirk was plastered on his face once Mia turned around.

She gave him an annoyed look but decided to ignore him instead. Mia then put 5 pound weights on each side, knowing she wasn’t strong enough to lift anything higher than that.

Mia mainly wanted to work on her thighs and legs, so she lifted the bar to place it behind on top of her shoulders. She slowly began to squat down until she was in a sitting position then brought herself back up.

She continued doing just that, not paying any mind to what was going on around her. She didn’t even realize the older man standing by the corner, staring at her intensely.

The older man did not go unnoticed by Changbin though. Changbin saw the way he would look at Mia every time she went down.

And it disgusted him a lot.

Not wanting the creep to stare at her any longer, Changbin got an idea. He stood up from the bench, casually walking over to where Mia was and placed his hands on her hips when she stood back up from placing the bar back on the floor.

Mia semi flinched when feeling Changbin’s cold hands on a part of her bare skin. “What are you-?”

“Don’t turn around but there’s a creep right behind us that has been staring at you since you began working out.”

“Just act normal.” He whispered, sliding his arms around her waist. Changbin lowered his head against her neck.

“You acting affectionate towards me isn’t normal.” Mia whispered back as she let out a soft giggle.

She did found his actions pretty odd but she knew he was doing it for the older man to stop staring at her. Mia was not the one to like being stared weirdly.

“I’m only doing you a favor.” He said, beginning to sway Mia side to side.

“Thanks, I guess.” She said letting out a louder chuckle as she placed her arms on top of his, making Changbin’s grip on her a little tighter. Anyone who didn’t know them would think they were an actual couple.

Even though Changbin knew this was only for show, he found himself actually enjoying the moment.

As Mia was smiling, she turned her head to the side a little to see if the man Changbin was talking about was still there. Fortunately, she saw no one in sight.

“I think he’s gone.” She said.

Changbin raised his head turning it to the side, noticing the man was indeed gone. “Yup, he’s a goner.”

He hadn’t realized that he was still holding onto Mia until she tapped on his arms. “Um, Seo? You can let go of me now.”

He snapped out of his daze, quickly letting go of Mia. “Sorry.” He mumbled, surprisingly missing the warmth of her body.

Mia laughed, telling him it was ok before walking over to where Chan was to tell him what had just happened.

Getting a slight blush, Changbin was thankful that Mia had left him standing there alone.

He couldn’t understand the sudden feelings that were going through his body at that moment, and it was beginning to scare him.

“She’s doing amazing.” Jeongin said into Hyunjin’s ear.

Hyunjin nodded his head. “She looks great.”

All of the 9 boys sat in their seats, cheering Mia on as she was in the middle of performing her first ever solo special stage. All of them, especially Chan, were proud on how good she was doing.

They even had their lightsticks with them, and kept waving them around while shouting her name once or twice.

When they saw the performance was over, and Mia exiting the stage, they quickly got up from their seats to meet up with her backstage.

Mia still had a bit of adrenaline going on in her. At first, she was super nervous about performing by herself. But once being on stage, all her worry went away. She let everything go with the flow, and she was really proud on how well she did.

As she was taking her ear piece out, she heard her name being shouted from behind her.

She turned around and was met with 9 boys coming her way.

Jisung was more ahead from the others as he skipped his way over to her, and wrapped his arms around her. He hugged her tightly, then lifted her off from the ground as he spun her around. “You did so good!” He said putting her down.

Mia giggled as Felix was next to give her a hug. “Thank you all for coming.”

“Of course, we had to come and support our Mia.” Chan said ruffling her hair.

Mia looked at all the boys until her eyes stopped at Changbin, “and thank you as well for coming, Seo.” She smiled.

“I was forced.” He rolled his eyes, causing him to get elbowed by Jeongin.

Changbin and Mia were still not on the best speaking terms, but nonetheless Changbin was not as mad at her as before. He still had yet to apologize to her though.

“Well I’m happy you all came, it means so much to me.” She smiled at all of them. “Let me just go get dressed then we can leave.”

“Yeah, no problem.” Jisung said.

Mia left the group, taking a few more steps down the hallway until she reached her dressing room.

She quickly changed into some jean shorts and an oversized white t-shirt, then slipped on her checkered vans.

As Mia was getting ready the boys outside were huddled up around Jeongin, watching the rerun of Mia’s solo stage performance.

“She knows how to find the cameras quick.” Minho pointed out. “Probably better than you, Felix.” Everyone began to laugh. 

They continued to watch the performance on Jeongin’s phone. Too distracted on what was going on around them, not seeing the young man entering Mia’s dressing room.

Mia was putting her belongings in her minil backpack when the door opened. Looking up, excepting it to be one of her members, she grew confused when she saw the young man standing there. He was about in his early 20s.

“Um, hi?” She said rather in a question. “Do you need help with something?”

The man shook his head no. “I just wanted to say I’m a really big fan of you. Your solo stage was amazing. I just needed to tell you in person!” The man exclaimed.

Although Mia found it sketchy that the guy basically barged into her dressing room, she still smiled at him politely. “Thank you.” She bowed.

He bowed back. “You’re welcome.”

Not wanting to waste anymore time, Mia slung her mini backpack on her back, and began to make her way towards the door.

“Well, uh, it was nice to meet you, I guess. Kinda weird that it happened in my dressing.” She chuckled. “But I must get going.”

Mia was beginning to reach for the door handle, but the man ended up blocking her way. She looked at him confused.

“Why must you go so soon?” The man said. “We were beginning to have friendly conversation.”

“Oh I’m sorry, I really can’t stay longer. I have to go.” Mia tried once again to try and open the door by moving to the side, only for the man to block her way again.

“I don’t think I can let you do that.” He said in a rather low voice.

Mia got shivers done her spine. Her heart beat even began to race faster. She was beginning to get really nervous now.

Before Mia could think twice, the man grabbed her by her arms, and pinned her up against one of the walls. Mia yelped in pain from the impact on her back, causing him to put his hand over her mouth.

“Don’t say a word and I won’t hurt you that bad.” The man chuckled evilly against her ear.

All Mia wanted to do was to get out of this dangerous situation she was in. So with her free hand she punched the man on his side making him let her go to tend to himself.

“You bitch!” He groaned. 

Mia took this as the opportunity to run towards the door. She only made it halfway since the guy recovered pretty quickly. He ended up grabbing her from behind. “You shouldn’t have done that, miss Mia.” He said dragging her away from the door.

“Let me go!” She yelled, trying her hardest to get out of his grip.

The man only tighten his grip on her more. Mia felt as if she was losing breath on how tight he was holding her. She turned a bit in his arms, and soon began swinging her arms trying her hardest to push him away.

“You better stop that.” He said dodging every swung Mia would do.

She didn’t stop though. She was determined to escape him some how.

Mia continued until she ended up scratching him on his face, causing the man to wince in pain. He let go of her with one arm to feel his cheek.

“I told you to stop!” The man yelled at her as he slapped his hand across her cheek.

Everything happened so fast that Mia couldn’t even comprehend that she had just been slapped. The impact of it caused her to let out a loud screech at how much it had hurt her. Tears began to spill, and she was shaking so hard now

Her loud screech could have been heard from a mile away. All heads of the boys rose up from hearing it.

“That sounded like it came from Mia’s room.” Minho said as he looked towards the direction of Mia’s dressing room.

All nine boys instantly jolted to see what was wrong. It was unlikely for Mia to scream like that to them.

Changbin was the first to open the door, eyes instantly grew wide at the scene he was witnessing. Letting the door swing open, he quickly ran towards them as the rest of the members entered.

“Let go of her!” Changbin yelled as he got ahold of Mia trying to get her out of the man’s grip.

As all of this was happening, Woojin had went back to the hallway yelling out for security to come their way.

Mia ended up kicking the man right in his lower part of his stomach, making him let go of her. He groaned in pain as he crouched down. Both Chan and Hyunjin ran to get ahold of him so he wouldn’t try to get Mia again.

Changbin still had Mia in his hold as he sat her down on the floor far away from them. She was still crying, and Changbin could feel her shaking. She was obviously shaken up from the situation she was just in.

Changbin was about to get up once seeing the security enter the room, but Mia was quick to clung onto him. “Please don’t leave me.” She softly cried out.

“Don’t worry, I got you.” He said as he wrapped his arms around her small figure.

The last thing that was on Changbin’s mind was their fued that they had. He knew he needed to be there for Mia right now.

The two of them continued to sit on the floor in each other’s embrace as the rest of the members and security took care of everything.

“Hey, you ok?” Chan crouched down next to Mia.

She moved her head slowly away from Changbin’s chest, shaking her head no. “I just wanna go home.” She sobbed.

Chan almost gasped once seeing Mia’s face. Her right cheek was red and almost swollen. “What did he do to you?” He whispered as he caressed her cheek.

Mia winced in pain, her cheek still stinging from the slap. Chan instantly pulled his hand back.

“He slapped me.” She said softly.

All eyes grew in shock as they were gathered around Mia.

“We’re definitely pressing charges.” Woojin announced. “He is not going to get away from this.”

“Can we just go home please?” Mia pleaded not wanting to think any more of what she went through a few minutes ago.

Chan nodded bringing himself up. “You got her Changbin?”

“Yeah.” He said as he picked Mia up bridal style.

All of them began to walk out of the dressing room, and out the building to their bus.

The ride back was silent, everyone a little shaken up as well from seeing their member in a dangerous situation.

Once being home, Changbin was still carrying Mia and took her all they to their room that they shared with Felix. 

He gently placed her on her bed then pulled her blanket over her body. 

“Thank you.” She softly whispered getting up in a sitting position. 

“No problem.” He responded sitting at the edge of her bed, facing her. He placed the small ice pack he got before bringing her to the room on her swollen cheek. 

“You know,” he began to speak. “I just want to apologize for the way I’ve been acting towards you these past days.”

“It was wrong of me, and I shouldn’t have just straight out attack you like that. I also should have heard you out. So I’m sorry.”

“It’s ok, Binnie.” Mia said, then wrapped her arms around his neck. “I’m honestly over it now.”

Changbin hugged her back, and the two stayed like that for a couple of seconds in silence.

Once they broke apart slowly, Mia went in to kiss Changbin on his cheek. “What was that for?” He questioned, taken back from the sudden affection Mia gave him.

“My way of saying thanks.” She smiled at him. “For saving me.”

Changbin looked down at his lap as a small chuckle escaped his lips. “It’s late, you should probably get some sleep. You must be exhausted.”

Mia nodded her head then went to lay back down on her bed covering herself with the blanket. Changbin took the ice pack from her and decided to go to the kitchen to put it back in the fridge.

When walking halfway to the door, he looked at Mia for a quick second seeing that her eyes were fluttering closed.

He opened then closed the door softly once being outside of the room. Instead of moving, he stayed right in front of the door for a bit.

Not realizing the small smile that crept up his lips.

“Oh my goodness, that was so much fun!” Mia exclaimed as soon as her and the rest of the boys got off stage.

They had just finished their Fancy stage for Music Bank. Mia was still full of energy even after getting done performing.

“You really always enjoy covering Twice.” Jisung laughed as he put his arm around her shoulders.

“Why of course! Their songs are super catchy, and fun to dance to.” She smiled.

They continued their short walk finally arriving at their dressing room. Mia and Chan instantly marching their way towards the snack section.

The tv in the room was turned on, and Itzy popped up on the screen to perform Dalla Dalla. Mia grabbed a few more snacks before making her way to the couch to watch their performance.

“Wow.” Mia gasped. “They’re doing so good.”

All eyes were glued on the tv as the performance continued.

“You ever think about the fact that you were supposed to debut with them?” Hyunjin asked randomly. “Like that could have been you up there instead of being with us.”

Mia turned her head towards Hyunjin. “Not really.” She simply said looking down at her lap, beginning to fidget with her fingers.

“Why would she think about that, I put her in an amazing team.” Chan chuckled, pushing her slightly with his shoulder.

Mia only gave him a small smile and brought her attention back on the tv. She could feel someone’s eyes on her. Shifting in her seat, she decided to shrug it off.

The performance was finally over and Mia couldn’t be more proud on how the girls of Itzy did, especially with Yeji. Out of all them, Mia was the closest with her. She even considered Yeji as her best friend.

“Alright everyone, once changed, start heading to the bus.” Their manager called out once he saw they were almost ready to leave. “And Mia, someone would like to see you.”

Mia looked slightly confused but once seeing the person standing by the door frame her face instantly changed.

“Hey!” Mia cried out as she ran towards Yeji.

They instantly went in for a hug. “You guys did so good on stage.”

“You too! The Fancy stage was super cool. You guys killed it.” Yeji said letting go of Mia.

“We’ll leave you two alone.” Chan said gathering the rest of of the boys to leave. “Hello Yeji.” He then bowed.

Yeji bowed as each member left the room.

“So how you been? The comeback was amazing by the way, congrats.”

“Ah, thank you. Mia said as the both of them sat on the couch. “I’ve been great actually.”

“That’s good to hear. I’m so ready for our comeback to happen soon.”

“You guys will do amazing, I just know it. Dalla Dalla was a hit.”

“Thank you.” Yeji chuckled, “can’t you believe you could have been apart of it.”

Mia sighed, “yeah, I do sometimes think about it.” She said hesitantly.

“It was our dream to debut together.” Yeji said lowering her head. “But, Chan took you away from me.” She then laughed.

As they continued to talk to each other, they didn’t seem to notice when the door to the dressing room slightly opened.

Changbin stood on the other side of the door listening in on their conversation. Chan had sent him to tell Mia not to take long but once hearing the topic they were talking about he couldn’t help but to eavesdrop.

He knew something was off from the moment Mia began to act different when Hyunjin talked about her being in Itzy, and now he was curious to know what Mia was actually thinking about.

“You know, there’s times where I think, why didn’t I tell Chan no when he wanted me to be in his group.”

“Like it was already confirmed that I was going to be with you guys. I don’t know why I just decided to say yes to him.”

“Why do you think that?” Yeji questioned.

Mia shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know, I sometimes think that maybe I was just... meant to debut with a girl group.”

Changbin couldn’t believe the words coming out of Mia’s mouth. He was almost getting pissed at what she was saying.

“Just imagine if the both of us debuted together.” Yeji smiled patting Mia’s knee.

“That would have been nice.” Mia smiled back.

At this point Changbin couldn’t take it anymore. He was beyond angry. Instead of walking right in to confront her, he decided to go back with the others to not listen to what else Mia had left to say.

“But you know what, I don’t regret it.” Mia then said. “I don’t regret telling him yes.”

“You don’t?”

Mia shook her head no and gave a shy smile. “Absolutely not, I’m so happy being with them. I wouldn’t trade them for the world.”

“As much as I did like the idea of us debuting together. I’m grateful that I got to debut with them. They’re my boys, and I love them.”

“Well I’m happy, you’re happy. I can tell they truly mean so much to you.”

Mia nodded in agreement. “They do.” She said softly.

The both of them sat in a comfortable silence for a few seconds before Mia stood up from the couch. “I must get going, they’re probably wondering where I am.”

“Yeah me too.” Yeji said getting up as well. “Gotta get ready for the next stage.”

They walked out of the room, giving each other a hug. “Good luck Yeji, I’ll talk to you later.”

They broke apart and went their separate ways. Mia hurried her way to get out of the building to get to the bus.

Once finding it she quickly opened the door. “Sorry I took so long, Yeji and I got carried away.” She said getting inside and taking a seat right at the front.

Hearing no response, she turned her body around to face all of them. Not a single soul looked her away. Instead, everyone was either listening to music or playing on their phone.

“Hello?”

Still, no response.

Finding it weird that they were being super silent, Mia decided to not think so much of it and slowly turned around in her seat as the bus drove off.

The ride home was awfully quiet, which was very unusual since for the most times it’s always filled with talking and laughter.

Even when they entered the dorms, not a single word was spoken.

“Are you guys ok? You all have been very quiet.”

“And that kinda scares me.” Mia said letting out a small chuckle.

Ignoring her, everyone went their separate ways. Some in the living room, while others went to their rooms.

Now, Mia was getting worried. She quickly went to her room, and decided to get in some comfortable clothing before heading back to the living room.

Once she did, Mia could hear some chatter coming from the kitchen making her stop in her tracks.

“I just don’t understand why she would say that?” She heard Chan say.

“Oh I know, because she’s a selfish brat who only said yes to you because she was desperate to debut already.” Changbin was the one to say. She could hear how angry he was sounding.

Mia gave out a small gasp. She decided it was her time to enter the kitchen. “What are you guys talking about?”

Chan froze in his spot while Changbin threw her an ugly look.

“Why don’t you go talk to Yeji huh?” Changbin snapped at her.

She gave him a confused look.

“Don’t play the victim here, Galindo.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Is it true?” Chan was the one the cut in.

Mia tilted her head to the side. “Is what true?”

“What you and Yeji were talking about.”

Understanding what they were saying now, she narrowed her eyes at the both of them. “You were listening to our conversation?”

“Oh so it is true.” Now, Chan was glaring at her. “I didn’t want to believe Changbin when he told us, but now I have my answer.”

At this point all of the rest of the members were sitting at the dining table, watching everything go down.

“See I told you, but you guys didn’t want to believe me. Why do you think she gets all excited when we dance to Twice, she obviously would have been happier debuting with a girl group” Changbin said as he threw his arms up. “I knew there was a reason why I didn’t like her in the beginning.”

Mia could feel her stomach drop. “Instead of attacking me, are you even gonna let me explain?”

“No.” Changbin snapped. “You said what you said. You don’t want to be here so why don’t you just leave.”

Mia shook her head no as she bit on her lip. “That’s not true, I do want to be here.”

“You didn’t even listened to what I said after.” Mia could feel tears beginning to form in her eyes.

“What? Talked more crap, right?”

“No!” She cried out. “I said-“

“You know what,” Changbin interrupted her. “I don’t even wanna hear it, I’m done.” He said leaving the kitchen.

“So you admit to what you said?” Chan then questioned her.

Hesitant, she slowly nodded her head. “Yes, but I-“

Chan didn’t give her any time to explain herself as he too marched right out of the kitchen, following Changbin.

She then looked at the others as tears were now dropping down her face. “Are you guys going to hear me out?” She whispered loud enough for them to hear.

Hyunjin, Woojin, and Seungmin gave her an apologetic look until all three of them got up from their seats and left the room.

“I don’t know what to believe.” Felix spoke up. “I didn’t want to believe it but you admitting it just says a lot.” He then looked down at his lap.

“I’m sorry.” Mia sniffled.

Not wanting to be there no more, Felix quickly got up from his seat to leave as well. Minho and Jisung following right after him.

“Minho, Jisung.” She sobbed as she saw them walk away.

The both of them looked at each other then back at Mia. They did feel bad but they were also hurt, so without saying a word, they left her alone with Jeongin.

Mia could feel her heart breaking, she knew she messed up big time. But what hurt her the most is that no one was letting her explain herself.

She lowered her head down as more tears came running down her face. Mia didn’t notice when Jeongin got out of his seat until she felt arms wrap around her.

“I’m a little hurt.” He began to speak. “Like Felix said, I really don’t know what to believe right now but I’ll still be here for you.” He said letting go of her.

“Please believe me when I say that I don’t want to be in any other group but this one.” She said wiping her tears away.

Jeongin bit on his lip as he gave Mia a sad look. He gave her shoulder a pat before walking off to go to his room.

Mia closed her eyes for a few seconds, then made her way to the bathroom where she slid down against the door once closing it.

She hugged her legs, and she began to sob even more.

Mia didn’t know how she was going to fix this, especially with almost everyone hating her. But right now, she felt alone.

“Mia, you’re late.” Chan said the second Mia walked in the dance studio.

She sat her bag down, clapping her tongue as a smile plastered on her face. “I’m always late, you should be used to this by now.”

Chan rolled his eyes. “Unfortunately, I am.”

Mia chuckled as she skipped her way towards Chan, giving him a side hug. She looked up at, getting on her tippy toes and planted a kiss on his cheek. Mia knew this trick always worked with Chan.

Chan ended up smiling at her and gave her a tight hug. “You’re forgiven.”

“So unfair.” Jisung mumbled to Minho.

Mia walked over to where Jisung was sitting on the floor, plopping herself on top of him. “What was that?” She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck.

The boy chuckled, grabbing ahold of Mia and bringing her down to the floor. “It’s unfair that you’re the special one around here.”

“Stop hating.”

“No.”

Mia jokingly rolled her eyes, sitting up as she scanned the room. Everyone was there except one person.

“You know, there’s times where I’m actually here on time but Seo is late all the time and yet you don’t say anything about it.” Mia said looking at Chan as she crossed her arms.

Chan sneered at her words. “Today’s different.”

“How so?”

“He’s helping out a trainee.”

“With what? Rapping?”

“Yes, actually.” Chan said, looking at the time on his watch. “He should be done by now. Mia, can you go get him? He’s in the studio.”

As much as she didn’t want to talk to Changbin, Mia slowly got up from the floor, walking her way towards the door.

She was also pretty curious on who Changbin was helping. Mia always loved meeting some of the trainees and helping them out.

Mia was a foot away from the studio room that Changbin was in. Without thinking, she opened the door pretty fast, startling both Changbin and the trainee.

“Hey, Seo. Chan said-“ Mia stopped mid sentence when looking at the both of them.

The trainee was a girl and Mia recognized her in a heartbeat. The girl stared right back at Mia, an evident smirk on her face. “Hello, Mia.”

“Minzi.” Mia softly said, bowing. “Chan said to come to the dance room.”

“Alright, I’ll be there in a second.” Changbin said, turning back around in his rolling chair. He found it a bit odd that the both of them knew each other’s names.

Mia nodded, turning back around to exit the room. She hurried herself back to the dance room. When she opened the door, her eyes scanned to find Minho.

He was sitting in a corner, too busy on his phone to notice Mia marching towards his direction. That was until Mia sat down right in front of him.

“Yes?” He asked.

“Changbin is helping out a girl trainee.” She said bluntly.

“Oh yeah, he did mention that not too long ago.”

“Why wasn’t I told?” Mia furrowed her eyebrows.

“Why do you care?” Minho asked, raising an eyebrow.

His question set Mia back a bit. Why did she care so much?

“It’s not that I care it’s just that when I walked in, he was helping Minzi. Do you remember her?”

Minho’s eyes widen when hearing the awfully familiar name. “No way.” He gasped.

Mia nodded her head. “Yes way.”

“Minzi? As in the Minzi that literally hated your guts when we participated in World Of Dance Korea back then?”

“Yes!” Mia exclaimed. “That Minzi.”

Minho’s mouth dropped. “What the hell is she doing here?”

Mia shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know, I just know is that she better stay the hell away from me.”

Minho chuckled. “Man, was she the worst.”

Mia rolled her eyes, nodding her head in agreement. She wasn’t one to dislike people but Minzi was on the top of her list.

It was always Minzi’s goal to somehow bring Mia down. She always was the one to envy her since Mia was always getting a lot of attention when being in World Of Dance.

Mia knew that Minzi always wanted to be like her, so it was no surprise to Mia that she had became a trainee for JYPE.

The door to the dance room opened, Changbin walking in and going straight to Chan. Mia couldn’t help but stare at him as he walked.

Out of nowhere, she got a weird feeling in her stomach. Mia didn’t know why the sudden thought floated through her mind, but for some reason, she didn’t want Minzi near Changbin either.

“Mia, will you actually help instead of standing around.” Felix huffed as he had finished tying on of the balloons on a chair. “Chan and Changbin will be here any second now.”

The whole team, minus Chan and Changbin, were at a Korean barbecue restaurant setting up decorations in one of the private rooms they had rented. Chan had sent them an hour early to set everything up before he brought Changbin to the place to celebrate his birthday.

“I set up the table, how is that not helping?” The girl frowned at him.

Felix sighed. “Ok well can you just be on the look out if you see them?”

Mia smiled and nodded. “Yes, bro.”

She walked over to the entrance of the room, looking out at the front door of the restaurant to see when both members would walk in.

“Make sure, Seo doesn’t hold the cake this time.” Mia laughed, remembering last years event when Changbin had dropped the cake at a fansign.

“We’ll make sure of that.” Seungmin chuckled.

From the corner of Mia’s eyes she could see someone entering the restaurant. When she turned her head, she spotted both Chan and Changbin at the front.

“Caw, caw! Channie and Seo are here.”

The boys laughed at Mia but were quick to gather together to get ready and surprise Changbin when he entered.

After a few more seconds of waiting, Chan was the first to enter quickly moving to the side for Changbin to enter after him.

“Surprise!” They all said, leaving Changbin stunned.

His mouth went straight to a smile as he looked all over the place, seeing how the room was all decorated. “Oh my god.”

“I’m so touched.” Changbin chuckled. “Thank you guys.”

“You’re welcome, I hope you like it.” Mia said, placing a party hat on him.

“I love it.” He smiled at her.

“Great, now lets eat.”

The group were all gathered around the table. Filling their stomachs up with the delicious food they were having. Everyone was enjoying the night, celebrating Changbin’s birthday.

“Ok, Changbin.” Chan said bringing the cake in front of him. “Whatever you do, don’t drop the cake.”

Changbin let out a loud laugh, causing everyone else to laugh with him.

The waiter of the restaurant gently lit up the candles then left. Leave the group to start singing happy birthday to Changbin. He couldn’t stop smiling at how happy he was to be celebrating his birthday with his team.

“Make a wish.” Woojin said once they were done singing.

Changbin thought for a few seconds then went to blow out the candles. The group cheered and clapped right after.

Once finished eating the cake, Chan had payed for the dinner and now the whole team was ready to go home. They knew Jeongin couldn’t stay out that late.

When they entered their dorm, everyone went their separate way to get ready for bed. Mia got into more comfortable clothing by wearing an oversized hoodie with sleeping shorts.

She noticed Changbin wasn’t in the room yet, so she ducked down pulling out one of her boxes from under the bed. She took the top off, eyeing the box that had Changbin’s bracelet in and gently placed it inside her hoodie’s front pocket.

Mia went out of the room to find Changbin. She turned the corner, only to find him sitting in the living room that was halfly dimmed with light.

He was on his phone, getting a little startled when Mia plopped herself right next to him on the couch. The sudden closeness of her body made his heart began to race a little.

“Yes, Galindo?”

“How was your birthday? Did you enjoy it?”

“Oh definitely.” He said looking at her. “I had fun.”

“That’s good, I’m happy you had fun.” Mia smiled at him.

“Before your birthday ends, I want to give you this.” The girl said, pulling out the rectangular box from her pocket then handing it to Changbin.

He took the box, moving it around. “What is it?” He said, shaking it a little.

“Well open it and you’ll find out.”

Changbin untied the red ribbon that was around the black box. Gently, he took the top off, gasping out loud when he saw what was inside.

“Galindo, you didn’t.”

Mia bit on her lip, a huge grin already creeping up on her. “I did.” She said.

“When did you even get it?”

The girl snorted. “When we were at the mall and I excused myself to the restroom. I lied and actually went back to the jewelry store.”

“Ah.” Was all he said, admiring the bracelet once he took it out.

Mia gently took it from him to place it on his wrist. “Perfect.” She said softly.

“Thanks, Galindo. I love this gift a lot.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her head to his shoulder. “You’re welcome, Binnie.”

The boy smiled, wrapping his left arm around her. He didn’t feel like letting her go anytime soon.

The two stayed like that for a couple more seconds before Mia broke apart from him then leaned in to give him a kiss on the cheek. “Goodnight, and happy birthday.”

And with that, she left Changbin all alone with a red face in the living room.

He looked at the bracelet, touching it with his finger. As much as he tried so hard not to continue falling for Mia, Changbin couldn’t help it anymore.

He finally came to a realization that he indeed has feelings for Mia. Changbin knew it was wrong, but maybe he was ready to risk it all for her.

Mia was sat on the floor next to Jisung. The girl was tired and would rather be at home sleeping. All she was really good at was cheering for her team when they went to do something.

She looked up to the audience, looking in the direction of where all the Stays were sat. Mia gave them a big smile as well as making a heart with her hands.

The fans began to cheer when they saw her, and gave her a big heart back.

One of Mia’s favorite parts at ISAC was interacting with their fans. She would either mess with them or show them a lot of love by giving them hearts.

She raised her hands in the air, leaning to the left then to the right. Mia went back and forth with the fans following along. She let out a laugh, deciding to stop messing with them for now, and ended it with her giving them a finger heart.

When she was done, Chan had walked up right in front of her. “Just got word to tell you that you’re going to be running.” He smiled.

Mia gave him a disgusted look which made Chan and Minho, who had just sat down next to her, to laugh.

“Ugh, why me?” She groaned. “I hate running.”

“What’s going on?” Hyunjin asked when he heard his members laughing.

“Mia is gonna run, and she hates it.” Jisung answered laughing.

Hyunjin let out a wheeze, finding it humorous to see Mia in torture.

“Hey, hey, if you at least try, we’ll reward you after this is all over.” Chan said extending out his hands for Mia to grab on.

He rose her up to stand on both feet. “I like the sound of that.” She smirked, letting out a chuckle.

By that time all of Stray Kids were all together, waiting for Mia to get called to run.

“You better get first place or you’re not my best friend anymore.” Minho jokingly glared at her.

“That puts me under pressure.”

“Good.”

Mia turned her head to see Yeji walking towards them. “Heard you’re running, good luck out there.” Yeji smiled, patting Mia’s shoulder.

“Thanks.” Mia smiled back.

The announcer spoke, telling all the girls who would be running to meet at the start line.

“Good luck, Mia, and remember what I told you.” Chan winked at her.

“Yeah, yeah.” She said walking away from them.

Mia made it to the start line, looking back at her members and waving both of her hands at them. They did the same to her as they each smiled.

The girl took a deep breath, preparing herself for when she would have to start running.

Before she knew it, a buzzer went off, and Mia began to run as fast as she could.

“There she goes!” Jeongin cheered, jumping up and down.

Mia was currently in fifth place. As much as she hated running, she actually wanted to try her best. So, she began to pick up her speed, making the distance with her and the other opponent smaller.

She somehow made her place into third, running faster as she was close to the finish line.

Picking up her pace just a little more, Mia passed another female idol and came in second once she made it to the finish line.

That didn’t stop the girl from running though. She continued to run once seeing her boys, and ran right into their direction. Them as well were running to her as they cheered and jumped.

Being a little ahead of everyone else, Mia saw Changbin first and jumped right onto the boy, wrapping her legs around him. He was quick to catch her, quickly wrapping his arms around her waist.

The rest of the boys gathered around them as they continued to cheer for their member making it into second place.

“You did it!” Chan yelled.

“And you said you hated running.” Hyunjin then said letting out a laugh.

Mia had a huge grin plastered on her face as she looked at almost all the members around her.

Her eyes then landed on Changbin, who was still carrying her. Mia’s grin then turned into a soft smile, making Changbin smile right back at her as they continued to stare at one another.

Mia was suddenly so tranced, that she couldn’t look away from him.

But their little moment was soon interrupted when Chan took her away from him, carrying the girl bridal style.

“Reward well deserved.” Chan smiled as they continued to walk back to where they sat. “You did good out there.”

“Thanks.” Was all Mia could say, looking back at Changbin over Chan’s shoulder.

To her surprise, he was looking right back at her as well.

The both of them gave each other a small smile again, only this time Changbin getting a little bold and sent her a wink.

Mia quickly looked away, suddenly getting flustered by his small action. She hung her head low, biting the inside of her mouth, trying to stop the huge grin that wanted to creep up on her.

Changbin on the other hand, had a small smirk on his face when seeing Mia suddenly start blushing.

“How do I look?” Mia asked, stepping out into the living room. All the boys looked up at her, and she could kind of see their mouths dropping a bit.

The girl stepped out wearing a short, black, v-neck romper. She wore it with some black, ankle strapped heels. To top it off, her hair was nicely done with loose curls and her makeup was well done. Mia decided to have red lipstick to finish the look. She honestly felt so confident tonight.

It was her first date with Changkyun and she was a bit nervous but overall excited for this moment to come.

“Wow, Mia.” Minho said. “My best friend looks good.” He smirked.

Mia looked down at her feet, letting out a small laugh. “Thanks.”

“You look really pretty, noona.” Jeongin smiled at the girl. He came up to her, giving her a thumbs up, before going to his room. “Have fun.”

Chan was next to come up to her. “We need to have a small talk.” He whispered, signaling her to walk out the dorm.

“Okay?” She said kind of confused. “I’ll see you guys later.”

“Have fun and be safe!” Jisung called out.

Once Chan closed the door to the dorm, Mia turned around to face him. “What is it?”

“I know this is your first date so I want you to have fun but just remember to be careful. So, don’t get caught.” Chan said.

Mia nodded her head. “I know, Channie. I’ll try my hardest to be careful.”

“Ok, good.” He said, patting her head. “Now go, before you’re late.”

She smiled at him, before turning on her heels to head out the building. Her ride was already there waiting for her. When she got in, she told the driver where to take her.

Leaning back in her seat, Mia let out a small breath. She was getting a little nervous again.

Changkyun had mentioned that he was going to take her out to a fancy restaurant to have a romantic dinner. To be honest, Mia wasn’t a big fan of fancy restaurants. If anything, she was more into fun dates.

But despite her differences, Mia really liked Changkyun a lot so she was going to put it to the side and enjoy her first date with him. Either way, she always had a great time when being with Changkyun.

The car came to a stop, pulling up to a building. “Your destination, ma’am.” The driver said.

“Thank you.” Mia said, getting out the car.

She went inside and the first thing she noticed was the place was not that packed with people. Which was a good thing. The place was really beautiful. It had dim lights, a small water fountain in the front, and had slow background music playing.

Far away from the entrance, she spotted Changkyun waving at her to come over.

Mia smiled brightly as she walked over to where he was. By that time, all her nervousness went away.

“You look beautiful.” Changkyun said, pulling Mia into a tight hug. “Wow.”

He pulled Mia’s seat out for her to sit on then pushed her in. When he sat down in front of her, Changkyun couldn’t stop staring at Mia. In his eyes, she was the most beautiful person to ever exist.

Mia began to blush when seeing Changkyun stare at her. “You don’t look bad yourself.” She smiled, rest her head on her hand.

“Yeah, but you’re always stunning. Even when you don’t try.”

At that point, Mia became a blushing mess. She began to feel all types of emotions in her body. From the butterflies in her stomach to her heart beginning to race. There was no doubt that she was truly into Changkyun. And she has been for the longest, but only kept that to herself.

“Stop that.” She smiled.

Changkyun chuckled. “Why? I’m finally taking the girl I’ve liked from the moment I laid eyes on, on a date. Let me have my moment and compliment you all night.”

Mia let out a laugh. “Ok, ok. I’ll let you have this moment.”

“Thank you, my lady.” Changkyun said in English. He went back to stare at Mia again, he knew that’s what he would end up doing all night.

The waiter stopped by and took both of their orders, telling them the food would be out shortly.

“This is a really beautiful place.” Mia said, looking at more of the decor. “Very elegant.”

“Yeah, and I read that the food is great here.” Changkyun replied. “I searched high and low just to find a nice restaurant to bring you to.”

“Changkyun, you didn’t have to do that. I would have been fine with whatever.” The girl smiled softly at him.

“But I had to impress you.”

“You don’t have to impress me. I like you for you, it doesn’t matter where you take me.”

“You’re definitely worth it, baby.”

Mia became speechless by the sudden nickname. She bit her lip, knowing she liked how it sounded coming from him. A small smile crept up on her face.

“Your food.” The waiter said, putting down both plates in front of them. “Enjoy.”

Mia looked down at her plate, the food looked really delicious. Both, her and Changkyun took a bite, looking at each other.”

“Oh wow, that’s really good.” Mia said after swallowing her first bite.

“It really is.” Changkyun said, taking another bite.

The two sat in a comfortable silence for a couple of minutes as they took in their food, enjoying every bite.

“Do your members know about this?” Mia questioned.

“Yes.” Changkyun snorted. “Jooheon was the first one to know. He told me it was about time.”

“What about you. Did they get all protective?”

Mia giggled. “No, but they did say they were happy for me. Except Jisung tried to call me out saying why did I say yes if I supposedly didn’t like you.”

“I told him it was a lie. They all kinda figured at some point I liked you, but I would never admit to it.”

Changkyun chuckled as he took his last bite of his food. “Thank you for letting me take you out.”

“I should be the one thanking you.” Mia grinned. “I loved this a lot.” She said as she stared at Changkyun.

Her heart began to race when he intertwined his fingers with hers. But then let go when the waiter came back.”

“Dessert?” The waiter said, placing a piece of chocolate cake in the middle of the table.

“Thank you.” Mia said, already wanting to devour the cake.

She got a fork, taking a piece as Changkyun did the same thing. He got an idea when he looked at Mia.

“Come here.” He said, moving the fork towards her.

Mia got the hint and leaned in closer, doing the same thing with her fork to Changkyun.

They took a bite of the cake at the same time, laughing for a little while.

“That was so cliche.” Mia wheezed.

“You liked it though.”

Mia bit the inside of her mouth, having a smile plastered on her face when she stared at Changkyun.

This truly was one of her best nights.

“Thank you so much for the date.” Mia said as her and Changkyun walked out of the restaurant. They stood somewhere hidden. “I had a lot of fun.”

“I’m happy you did.” Changkyun softly smiled down at the girl. He moved a piece of her hair behind her ear. The small gesture made Mia blush once again. “Does that mean there will be a second date?” He said, raising an eyebrow.

Mia chuckled. “Yes, Changkyun there will definitely be a second date.”

“Woo!” Changkyun exclaimed, raising his fist in the air.

Mia began to laugh at his childish behavior, finding it adorable how excited he was to take Mia out again soon.

“I have to go now. You get home safe, ok?” Changkyun said, gently grabbing Mia’s face. “Text me when you do get home.”

Mia looked up at him, nodding her head. “I will.” She softly said.

She saw Changkyun slowly lean forward, having his eyes closed. The girl began to panic a little as she knew he was coming in for a kiss.

She closed her eyes as well, waiting to feel his lips on hers but nothing happened. Instead, she felt Changkyun’s lips on her forehead, giving Mia a small kiss.

A little confused, but she ended up brushing it off. “Bye, baby.”

Leaving the girl, Changkyun walked away as his ride was waiting for him. Mia stared at the car when it was driving off until she couldn’t see it no more.

She turned on her heels, heading to where her ride was waiting and quickly got in to head home.

Walking into the dorm, she sent Changkyun a quick text to notify him she had made it home safely before closing the door.

Almost all the lights were off, except one that was dimly lit in the kitchen.

She figured since it was kind of late, all her members would be asleep and she’ll have to tell them about her date in the morning.

But she was wrong, because when the door to the fridge closed she saw Changbin getting himself something to drink.

“Oh, hey.” He said lowly when he saw her standing there. “How was your date?”

In all honestly, Changbin could have cared less about Mia’s date. But he wanted to at least be nice and show some type of interest like the others have.

“It went great.” She smiled.

Changbin felt a tug on his heart with how happy she sounded.

“I’m glad.” He nodded.

“What are you still doing up?”

Changbin shrugged his shoulders. “Couldn’t really sleep, and I was thirsty.”

“Oh-“

“Where did you go on the date?” Changbin shortly asked, interrupting whatever Mia was going to say.

“He took me to this really nice restaurant. Food was amazing.” She said, remembering her date with Changkyun. Mia couldn’t seem to stop smiling as she thought of it.

And Changbin could see it clearly.

Deciding to mess with her a little, Changbin smirked at Mia as he raised at eyebrow. “I thought you said you hated going to eat somewhere fancy as a date. Because from what I remember you said they were boring.”

Mia snapped her gaze at Changbin. “So what? This time it’s different.”

“Right.” He said teasingly. “I bet you were so bored and wanted to come home as fast as you can.”

“No, I actually had fun.”

“Okay, Galindo. Whatever you say.”

Mia groaned at the boy. “What? You think you know me so well now?”

“I mean, I kind of do. We have been living together for a long time.” He said, poking Mia on her arm.

She swatted his hand away as he came back to poke her some. “Stop it, Seo.”

Mia began to try and poke Changbin as well, seeing that he wasn’t stopping. They began to let out some laughs but tried to keep it quiet since the others were asleep.

Their poking soon turned into a mini play fight as Mia tried to grab on Changbin’s arms to push him away. “Leave me alone.” She laughed, failing to get ahold of Changbin to stop him.

“No.” He smiled at her.

They continued to do this for a few more seconds until Changbin grabbed onto Mia’s arms, pulling her forward towards him.

The laughter was soon cut off from the both of them when they noticed how close they were to each other.

Mia looked up at Changbin as he stared at her. The both of them not once breaking eye contact. All you could hear was the noise of them breathing.

Changbin didn’t think of his next actions and just went for it. He slowly leaned down, pressing his lips to Mia’s.

To say Mia was very confused was an understatement. But somehow, she ended up kissing him back, feeling the warmth of his lips on her.

The kiss only lasted for about five seconds until Changbin was the one to break apart. He knew he messed up big time.

“Mia, I-“

He was cut off by Mia grabbing the back of his head and bringing him down to close the gap once more. She pressed her lips to his, Changbin instantly kissing back as he grabbed ahold of her waist.

This time the kiss lasted longer than the first. Mia didn’t know what came into her but she liked the feeling of Changbin’s lips on her.

But then, in the middle of the kiss, she remembered about her date with Changkyun and immediately broke away.

She looked back up at Changbin, swallowing hard. Not saying a word, Mia quickly walked away from Changbin to head to her room, leaving the boy confused in the kitchen.

It was a mistake. Mia knew it was a mistake. But she couldn’t understand why her stomach began to feel weird.

One of her best nights just turned upside down.

Mia looked at herself in the mirror one last time before she headed downstairs to join the rest of her team at the hotel’s swimming pool.

She was wearing a two piece bathing suit that she had recently purchased when they were out exploring Australia. It was a simple black top and the bottoms had sunflowers around it. She found the bathing suit super cute, and loved the way it fit her body.

After looking at her reflection for a few more seconds, Mia placed her sunglasses on top of her head, grabbed a towel, then began to make her way to the swimming pool.

“One...two...three!” Jisung shouted to Felix as he started a timer on his phone.

Felix and Chan were in the middle of a swimming contest, and made Jisung time them to see who was the fastest swimmer between the both of them.

“12.6 seconds.” Jisung announced as Felix made it to the end.

“I’m so gonna beat you, Felix!” Chan shouted from the other side of the pool.

“Whatever!” Felix shouted back.

Jisung began to do his countdown for Chan, and soon enough he began swimming across the pool as fast as he could.

Chan was almost at the end, and Jisung was preparing himself to stop the timer for when Chan arrived.

That was until he got distracted of the figure walking towards the pool. When he looked up and saw it was Mia, he couldn’t drift his eyes away from her.

Jisung didn’t even stop the timer when Chan had arrived to where him and Felix were.

“What was my time?” Chan asked Jisung.

“Woah” Jisung mumbled as he continued to stare at Mia.

“Did you not time me!?” Chan nudged him.

“Wait, what?” Jisung said finally getting out of his daze. He looked down at his phone to see the timer still going.

Jisung gave out a small chuckle. “I guess I got distracted and forgot to stop the timer.” He said tapping the stop button.

Chan splashed water on him. “What even made you get distracted?”

Jisung darted his eyes back to Mia. She was now tying her hair up in a high ponytail.

Felix and Chan followed his direction. “Woah.” They both said in sync.

“What you guys staring at?” Hyunjin went to sit down next to Jisung. His eyes trying to follow where they were looking.

“Mia.” Chan replied still looking at her. “She looks hot.”

Both Jisung and Felix nodded in agreement.

Hyunjin snorted, “you guys are weird, she’s our teammate.”

Chan looked back at Hyunjin. “Doesn’t mean we can’t find her attractive.” He said splashing water at him.

Mia looked back once she was done tying her hair. She saw that all four boys were looking her way so she decided to make her way towards them.

“She’s coming, stop staring.” Hyunjin told the three boys.

But of course, the boys didn’t listen and continued to stare at Mia as she was walking to them.

“What are you guys looking at?” She chuckled as she saw all their eyes on her.

“You.” Chan said without thinking about it.

Mia was taken back from his answer. “Why? She asked taking a seat next to Jisung’s left.

“Because you look good.” Felix was the next to answer.

Mia let out a laugh. “You guys are something else.”

“Same thing I said.” Hyunjin chuckled getting up and walking away.

“Hey! It’s not our fault you look hot.”

“Chris!”

“I’m sorry!”

“How much more longer do we have to be here?” Changbin whined as he stood next to Mia.

The girl was currently looking at all the different makeup palettes that was on display right in front of her inside the makeup store where she had dragged the three boys in.

It had been about 20 minutes, and Mia was trying to figure out which palette she wanted. It was between a nude eyeshadow one or one with more colors.

“It hasn’t even been that long, let me look at makeup in peace.” She scoffed, ignoring the boy’s sudden complain.

Changbin had finally went back to his old ways, which Mia was relieved about but now he constantly messed with her more than before.

“You have so much at home though, how much more do you need?”

“I can never have enough makeup, Mr. Seo.”

On the other side where they were, both Chan and Jisung were messing around with some foundation.

“Do you think this is my color?” Jisung jokingly asked as he stared at Mia. The boy raised his hand next to his face so she could see the comparison.

Mia let out a snort. “Definitely not your color.”

“How much more longer, Mia?”

“Not long, Channie. I just can’t decide with eyeshadow palette I want.” She said picking up both palettes.

Chan walked over to where she was, staring at the two palettes. “I would say the one with more colors.”

“You think so?”

The boy nodded. “Yes, you don’t really have a lot with colors so I say this one.”

Mia smiled, putting the nude eyeshadow palette back. “You’re right. I’ll take this one then.”

“Finally, now we can-“

“Now I just need to get some liquid lipsticks and I’m done.”

Changbin groaned, knowing he wasn’t going to get out of the store soon.

After Mia was done finding the lipsticks she wanted, she went to the register to pay. Walking out with a bag, she happily skipped her way over to where the boys were waiting for her outside the store when she was paying.

“All done, where to next?”

“Shoe store, I need some new pair of shoes.” Chan said as the four of them began to walk.

“Didn’t you just buy a new pair last week?” Mia questioned with her eyebrow raised.

“Shhhh, Mia.” He said placing his hand on her face. “You can never have enough shoes.”

The both of them looked at each other, Mia already knowing where he got that line from.

As the four of them were walking, Changbin had seen a jewelry store and was quick to go in there. The other three went in right behind him. “This won’t take long, I just want to see something.” The boy said looking around.

He stopped at one of the displays that had bracelets in them. One in particular catching his attention. “It’s there.” He mumbled.

Mia walked up next to him, leaving Chan and Jisung, to see what he was looking at him. “Wow.” She said when she how pretty each jewelry looked on display.

“I really like this one.” He said pointing to a gold bracelet with crystals on the links of it. Mia found the bracelet really beautiful.

“I saw it online not too long ago, so I wanted to see if it was here.”

“It’s really nice, Binnie.”

Changbin looked up, his nickname sounding so foreign coming from Mia. With a small smile, he nodded. “Yeah, I want it so bad.”

“Well then why don’t you get it?”

“Not right now.” He shrugged. “Plus I bought this one not too long ago.” He said raising up his arm so Mia could see his silver bracelet.

“Maybe next time, if they still have it.”

Mia was about to say something until Chan wrapped his arm around her, interrupting their conversation. “Are you getting anything?”

Changbin shook his head no. “Nah, I’m all done here.”

“Lets go then.” He said dragging Mia with him to head to the shoe store again.

As the they were finally in the shoe store that Chan wanted to go to, Mia sat in one of the benches as she stayed silent. She watched the boys trying to decide which shoes looked best on Chan. He was undecided between three pairs.

Mia bit the inside of her mouth. She knew this was the perfect opportunity to go do what she had planned.

“I’m gonna use the restroom.” She said, getting up a little to fast.

“Ok, but don’t get lost again.” Chan joked, causing Mia to frown at him. “We’ll be here for when you get back.”

The girl nodded, making her way out of the store. She took a left, trying to get to her destination as fast as possible. Which was definitely not the restroom.

Mia only used that as an excuse to go back to the jewelry store where they were at before.

She walked in, already knowing what she wanted to get.

“Excuse me? Can I get some help?” She asked politely.

An older man rushed over to her. “Yes ma’am, how can I help you?”

Mia smiled as she looked over the glass counter. “I want to purchase that one please.”

“Oh, great taste!” The man exclaimed, quickly taking out the bracelet for her. “Is this for you?”

“No.” Mia shook her head. “It’s for my friend, his birthday is coming up.”

The older man gave her a small smile. “Perhaps he’ll be a future boyfriend?” He chuckled.

Mia laughed, shaking her head no again. “Definitely not, I only see him as a friend.”

“Well then, let’s put this in a box for you.”

After Mia was done paying she walked out the store, looking inside the small black bag. Her lips turned into a small, knowing Changbin was going to love his birthday gift. The older man was even nice enough to wrap a ribbon around it.

She placed the bag inside her makeup bag so the boys wouldn’t suspect a thing.

“You took kinda long.” Jisung said as he saw Mia walking back in the shoe store. “Did you get lost?”

Mia rolled her eyes as she let out a laugh. “No, it was just busy.” She lied.

“Did Chan pick out his shoes?”

“He did.” Jisung said looking back at Chan where he was paying at the register.

“All three.”

[10th Member of Stray Kids]

It has been a couple of days since the incident with all of Stray Kids turning against Mia. Tension was still high, and she was still being ignored.

The main two were Chan and Changbin. Chan only spoke to Mia if it was necessary, while Changbin completely shut her out. It was as if she didn’t exist in his eyes.

The others gave Mia small talk here and there. Obviously still hurt by her words, but unlike Chan and Changbin, they didn’t ignore as often.

Jeongin was the only one who would actually speak to Mia. He always made sure to check up on her ever since almost everyone turned against her.

Now, Mia had just spent about 2 hours in the practice room to rehearse for her solo special stage that she got chosen to do. She would be performing Havana by Camila Cabello.

Although she was ecstatic for the opportunity, she was a little nervous as well. This would be her first time ever to perform by herself. She wanted everything to go smoothly.

Once she was done with rehearsal she quickly got her belongings, remembering that her Yeji were supposed to meet up for lunch.

She got back to the dorms as fast as she could to get ready. When opening the door, all her members were there.

She noticed Chan in the kitchen by himself, and took this as the opportunity to talk to him.

“Hey.” She softly said.

Turning his head from hearing the voice, he quickly turned back around from noticing it was Mia. “What do you want.” He said in a not so friendly tone.

“My, uh, special stage is in a few days, and I just wanted to know if you were going to go?” She said. “So I can tell them to put your name on the list so you can have a reserved seat like the others. All of them are going besides you and Changbin.”

“I mean, I can tell them to put your name either way-“

“Don’t waste your time.” He interrupted her. “I’m not going.”

Mia felt her heart drop a little from hearing his words. She knew he was still mad at her, but she also thought he could at least show a little support in her first ever solo stage.

“Why not?” She carefully questioned.

“Because why would I want to support someone who doesn’t want to be in my team?” He quickly snapped.

Mia was taken back from his words. “If you could just hear me out-“

“I’m not going Mia, and that’s final.” He said leaving her alone in the kitchen.

Feeling defeated, Mia lowered her head, and slowly walked into her room. Mood instantly dropping after talking to Chan.

She took out her phone to give Yeji a quick text saying she didn’t feel good, and that they would have to reschedule their lunch date another time.

Mia placed her phone on the bedside table then tucked herself under her blanket. She layed face up, looking at the ceiling as tears began to blur her vision.

At this point, she didn’t know what to do. As much as she tried to fix the problem, every time she did it would lead to her getting shut down.

As Mia was in her room crying softly, she didn’t hear the knock that came for their dorm’s door.

“I’ll get it.” Changbin said walking over to the door.

Yeji stood there as he opened it.

Changbin narrowed his eyes at her, “can I help you?” He said more harshly than he intended to be.

A little taken back from his tone, Yeji began to talk. “Is Mia ok? She texted me saying she wasn’t feeling good-“

“I don’t know and I don’t care.” He interrupted her before moving away from the door.

Yeji was a bit confused as to why he was suddenly being so cold towards her.

“Yeji is here.” Changbin announced as he headed to the bathroom.

“Hello.” She bowed to all of them, and them following her actions after.

“What brings you here?” Jeongin questioned.

“I was wondering if Mia is ok?”

Jeongin gave her a confused look. “Yeah?” He said more in a question. “She just came back from rehearsals so I would think she’s ok.”

“Weird, because she told me she didn’t feel good, and cancelled on me for lunch.”

From hearing this, Chan instantly spoke up. “She probably got upset on what I told her. She tends to shut herself off when getting upset.”

“Well what did you tell her?” Hyunjin asked him.

“She asked me if I was going to go to her special stage and I told her no.”

“Why would you tell her no?” Jeongin was then the one to ask. “She really wants all of us there.”

“But when she asked why, I said it was because I don’t want to support someone who doesn’t want to be in my team.” Chan then said, mumbling the last few words.

Yeji softly gasped. “What makes you think she doesn’t want to be in your team?”

Chan then gave Yeji a stare, “don’t act like you don’t know.”

Now confused, Yeji stared back at Chan. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Since Chan wasn’t planning on saying a word, Jisung spoke up. “Changbin Hyung overheard the both of you talking. Something about Mia debuting with you guys and about wanting to be in a girl group.”

Yeji now knew what Chan was implying. “Oh that!” She exclaimed.

“But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be with you guys.”

“Uh it kinda does? I mean why else would she say that.” Chan said.

“But did you even hear what she said after?”

The room went silent as Yeji stared at all eight boys.

“She said she doesn’t regret saying yes to you. That she’s happy being with you guys. You guys have no idea how much you all mean to her.”

Chan’s eyes grew wide. “She really said that?” Chan questioned in a soft voice.

“Yes, there’s no doubt that she loves you all dearly.”

Chan mentally facepalmed himself. “So many times she tried explaining herself, and I kept shutting her down. God, I’m a horrible leader.”

All of them instantly regretted their actions towards the way they were treating Mia these past few days.

“I knew it! I knew she loved us too much to ever think about leaving us.” Jeongin piped up.

“You’re not a horrible leader, Chan. But you need to go in that room and apologize to her.”

“I know.” Chan sighed. “Thank you, Yeji.”

“No problem.” Yeji bowed as she began making her way towards the door leaving them behind.

“You guys wait, I’ll talk to her first.” Chan said as the others nodded in agreement.

As Chan was walking towards Mia’s bedroom, Changbin had stepped out of the bathroom.

“What are you doing?”

“Apologizing to Mia.”

“Wait, why?” Changbin was confused. “Don’t you remember what she said?”

“You were wrong.”

“How was I wrong when I literally heard her?”

“Maybe you should have been eavesdropping a little longer.” And with that Chan left Changbin behind as he went up to Mia’s bedroom door.

She heard soft knocks, and quickly sat up as the door opened to her room. Chan was the last person she thought of coming inside. Especially after what he said to her.

“Yes?”

Chan didn’t say anything as he walked over to her. He sat down next to her, and engulfed her into a hug.

Mia was more than confused to say the least. “What are you doing?”

“I’m so sorry, Mia.” He whispered. “I’m sorry for the way I treated you.”

He let go of Mia as he stared at her face. “You tried so hard to tell us and all we did was ignore you, I’m really so sorry.”

“I don’t get it. Why are you all of sudden apologizing to me when I never got to explain myself?”

“Yeji came over-“

“She did?”

“Yes, but that’s besides the point. She explained on what happened after.”

“And you heard her out instead of letting me explain?” Chan could hear the brokenness in her voice.

He looked down at his lap, “I’m sorry, Mia. I should have done better. I’ve been a horrible person towards you.”

Although she felt hurt that it took for someone else to explain herself, she did miss her team, and wanted to move on from everything. So, she wrapped her arms around his neck pulling Chan close to her.

“You’re a good person Channie. But next time come to me first before assuming anything.”

“Oh I will indeed. I don’t want nothing like this to ever happen again.”

In response, Mia hugged Chan tighter. As they let go of each other, another knock came from the door, and seven boys came walking in.

“We’re really sorry, Mia.” Woojin was the first one to say. All the others nodding their heads.

“It’s ok you guys. I can see why you guys were upset with me, but please know I could never imagine myself with another group besides this one.”

One by one each of them walked over to give Mia a hug. At this point Mia couldn’t hold in her emotions and began to cry again.

“Hey what’s wrong?” Chan asked with concern.

Mia wiped some of her tears away. “I really thought you guys hated me.”

Felix was quick to get over to her side to give her another hug. “We could never hate you.”

“And that’s a fact, we love you way too much.” Jeongin said.

“What about Changbin?” She softly questioned as she noticed he was the only one missing.

“Changbin is being Changbin right now.” Jisung said. “He’ll come around.”

“Well, as long as you guy don’t hate me, I’m fine with that.” She chuckled causing all of them to laugh.

“To make it up to you how about we get some ice cream?” Chan said as he got up from Mia’s bed.

Her eyes lit up once the words left his mouth. “Perfect!” She exclaimed as she put her arms up.

Chan already knew what she she wanted. So he got in front of Mia, back facing her as Mia climbed on his back.

The boys were already out the door as the two were behind, following them.

“So are you gonna make it to my special stage?” Mia then questioned him again.

“I apologize about what I said earlier. I’ll definitely be there.”

Mia began smiling as she hugged him from behind tighter. “Thank you.”

[10th Member of Stray Kids]

“How old were you here?” Jeongin asked as he picked up a picture with Mia in it. She was wearing a school uniform with a bag slung over her, smiling as she stood in front of a door.

Mia took the picture from him as she scanned the photo. “I was 10. This was my first day of at my new school I went to when my family and I moved to China.”

The both of them were sitting on top of Mia’s bed, pictures all scattered around. Mia had went out to buy some photo albums to organize her pictures in them, instead of having them stored inside a shoe box.

But now, it had turned into a somewhat show and tell as Jeongin began to look through the photos with her, questioning her about each one he picked up.

“What made you guys want to move to China?”

“It was mostly my mom’s decision.” Mia said placing the photo into one of the slots. “She wanted Ryan and I to have that experience of living in China.”

“Did you like it?”

“Yes.” Mia said hesitantly. “But I did miss my hometown a lot. Maybe it was because I was so used to it. I was practically kinda raised there.”

Jeongin nodded, looking back at more of Mia’s photos. A particular one caught his eye and was quick to grab it. He examined the photo as he opened his mouth to speak. “That’s a really big dress.”

Mia looked over to see the photo Jeongin was looking at. A smile appeared on her face when she noticed what picture it was. It was a photo of Mia in a big, poofy, baby pink dress.

“That was the day of my quinceañera (sweet 15).” Mia said while she scooted closer to Jeongin.

“Your what?”

Mia chuckled at his confused face expression. “My quinceañera. It’s apart of my Hispanic culture.”

“Well what is it?” Jeongin asked with curiosity.

“It’s basically a celebration of when a girl turns 15. It’s kinda like a transition from being a little girl to turning into a young lady. It’s very traditional from my Mexican side of my family.”

Jeongin took in all the new information he was learning. “And do you have to wear this big dress?”

Mia nodded her head. “For the most part, yeah.”

“I’m gonna be honest, it was kinda heavy.” Mia laughed, Jeongin joining in right after.

“Tell me more. Was your party huge? What else comes with having a qui- quince- whatever you just called it.”

Mia gave out a small laugh as Jeongin bombard her with questions. And so, she began to answer all of them.

“There’s this thing called a father, daughter dance. I got to dance with my dad. Basically what it means is that it’s the last dance I have with my dad before I turned into a young lady.”

“That must have been a special moment.” Jeongin said while finding more pictures of Mia in the pink dress.

She took a photo he was holding, having both her and her dad in it. “It was a very special moment. This is actually us when we were dancing.” She said lifting up the picture for Jeongin to see.

“This is all so cool, noona.” Jeongin smiled.

“I’m happy you think so.” Mia said, smiling back at him.

Mia snapped her finger as she remembered another thing to explain to Jeongin.

“There’s also this thing called a surprise dance.”

“And what is that?”

“Basically me showing off my dance moves.” Mia chuckled. “Some usually have other people dancing with them but I decided to do it by myself.”

“How come?”

“Well growing up I really didn’t have a lot of friends and with me moving at a young age I kinda just lost touch with the people I did talk to.”

“And plus we did my party in Texas, so I really didn’t think it would work out if I were to have planned on having people stand with me as my court.”

“Ohhh.” Jeongin nodded. “Plus wouldn’t that take the attention away from you?”

Mia smiled at him. “Exactly, and friends come and go so I didn’t want to have them in it because who knows who I’ll keep in touch with in the future. I wanted my day to be special, all about me.”

“And of course my family.”

“You’re right about the friends part.” Jeongin chuckled. “Is there anything else I need to know?”

Mia thought for a second. “From what I remember at my party, I think that’s basically it.” She said thinking some more. “My party really wasn’t that big.”

“You really looked like a princess, noona.” Jeongin smiled, handing her over the photos.

“I felt like one to be honest.” She laughed.

“Actually.” Mia said getting off the bed. She crouched down to grab a box that was under her bed, bringing it up to open it. “I still have the crown with me.”

She sat back down next to him as she placed the crown on her head.

“Is it heavy?”

Mia shook her head no. “It’s alright.” She giggled.

The both of them shared a laugh right when Changbin entered the room.

“What are you guys-“ He stopped mid sentence noticing the crown on top of Mia’s head. He walked away as he began to shout.

“Chan hyung! You guys are taking this princess thing too far!”

Once getting off the plane, all of Stray Kids were now at the airport in Berlin buying snacks for them to munch on for the ride on the way to their hotel.

“Get whatever you need quickly.” Their manager called out to them.

Having her snacks already, Mia had zipped them up in her mini backpack, then slung it around her back. She was the second to last one to have her things. Jisung being the last one left to join the group. Mia stood behind all of the boys as they waited for their friend.

“Who’s left?” Their manager asked.

Chan looked over seeing Jisung at the register. “Just Jisung.”

As they were in the middle of waiting, Mia got the sudden urge to use the restroom. Looking up from her phone, her eyes scanned everywhere to see if there was a restroom near by.

“I’m gonna use the bathroom.” She said finding a bathroom on her right. She thought they heard her but in reality they didn’t because of the environment being too loud. As well as them having their backs facing her, and Mia having a pretty soft voice.

No one even noticed when she left.

Mia made her way to the restroom, hurrying to get back with the group as quickly as possible. Knowing their manager wanted them to be at the hotel soon.

Jisung got done paying for his snacks, finally walking towards the group. When their manager saw Jisung approaching, he wasted no time, and gathered all of them to begin walking outside to the van. He was in a hurry, both him and the boys not looking back to check if all the members were there, not realizing they were leaving Mia behind.

Mia was finishing up drying her hands before walking back out to meet up with the rest of the group.

But when she got to the spot where she had left them, not a single soul was there. With a pout, she looked around, doing a complete 360 trying to see if anyone was at least nearby. Unfortunately for her, no familiar faces were to be seen.

“Did they forget about me?” She said to herself as she began to walk into the opposite direction of where her group had went.

When the rest of Stray Kids got to the van, Chan and their manager finally made sure to see if everyone was there.

One by one they got into the van as Chan counted them off. When counting only 8 people minus himself, he looked inside the van then back outside, processing that they were missing a member.

“Uh, guys? Where’s Mia.” He questioned.

From hearing this, everyone looked around then back at the entrance of the airport.

“Where did she go?” Their manager asked with a confused face. “Wasn’t she with us?”

“I thought she was behind us the whole time.” Jeongin was the next one to speak.

Sighing, their manager looked at the boys who were already sat in the van. “You guys stay here, Chan and I are gonna look for Mia.”

“If she calls any of you, let us know.”

The boys nodded at their manager, closing the van’s door once him and Chan went in search to find Mia. Chan was already on his phone ready to call her.

As Mia was walking around causally, trying to find her team, her phone began to rang. She looked at the caller ID seeing Chan’s name on it.

“Hello-“

“Mia where are you?!” He exclaimed frantically.

His sudden outburst made her take the phone away from her ear.

“Where am I? Where are you guys?” She said turning the table.

“We just came back inside the airport after noticing you were missing.”

“Wow, it took you guys that long to notice I wasn’t there.”

“Mia, come on. Where are you?”

Mia looked around at her surroundings as she bit her lip. “I don’t know-“

“What do you mean you don’t know!?”

“Ok first of all, Chris. You are not about to yell at me like that. Second of all, I really don’t know! There’s just a whole bunch of waiting seats around me.”

Mia heard him sigh in frustration on the other side of the call. “Ok, do you know where we bought our snacks?”

“Si (yes).”

“Ok, now go back to that place and wait right there.”

“You got it, bro.” She said in English.

The both of them hung up, quickly marching their way back to where they had first been at.

Mia arrived there in no time, not having any trouble in finding the place again. As she waited for Chan to come get her, she went to a stand looking at the many keychains that were on it.

She spotted one that looked cute to her, taking it in her hand as she looked over it. Just as she was doing that she heard her name getting called out.

“Mia!”

She turned around when hearing the voice knowing it was Chan. She saw both him and their manager speed walking towards her.

“You found me!” She exclaimed with a smile as soon they were closer to her. “Look at this cute keychain!”

“Put that back, we have to go now.” Their manager said.

From the looks of it, Mia could see that both him and Chan looked a bit tired and frustrated, with all the searching and running that they had to go through just to get to her. The girl almost felt bad for making them do that.

After putting the keychain back, Chan got ahold of Mia’s arm, softly dragging her away, their manager being right by their side.

“How did you even lose us?” Chan asked.

“I told you guys I needed to use the restroom.”

“You never told us anything.” Their manager then said.

“I did!” She said a little louder. “I guess you guys didn’t hear me.”

By that time, the three of them were back outside heading to the van.

When Mia opened the door, all eight boys were staring at her.

“Hey friends!” She laughed. “You guys left me behind.”

“I could have sworn you were right behind us.” Minho said.

“I was, but then I needed to use the restroom and when I came back you guys weren’t there anymore.”

She heard a couple of laughs coming from them, making her laugh as well. Overall, she found the situation humorous.

Chan then gently pushed her inside the van, taking a seat between Hyunjin and Seungmin.

“Mia, next time make sure at least one of us know where you’re going so this never happens again.” Their manager said from the passenger seat.

She could tell by his voice he sounded a little frustrated but that didn’t stop Mia from letting out a loud laugh.

“Yes sir!”
