New Pin Collections :D

Gotta ramble about the new pins I got and how much I love them!  

On the top part I have the zodiac animals, in a porcelain design, they're so pretty.  The original set also included the Vietnamese Cat Zodiac, however the owner told me they'd just run out of that one, so I was offered the opportunity to get a different pin which I did. 

For the bottom bag some of the pins were from a previous convention where I met the artists and got to purchase pins there but:

I have Ryūjin-sama, which is a Japanese dragon kami I got a limited edition purple version.

I also got a yellow chrysanthemum (this replaced the cat zodiac from earlier), which in Japan represents longevity, nobility, and rejuvenation.

In the center on the top is a Pheonix I got it in rainbow colors because of how pretty it looked.  

And on the bottom is a Bakeneko a car Yokai that can be malevolent or benevolent depending on the situation. The design also has a bit of a nod to Fudō Myō-ō where one eye looks slightly upwards and one looks downwards, the website says: "Fudo Myo is known for judging your soul, just like your own cat judges your questionable decisions. 🐱🤪" which made me laugh.

On the right at the top left is a inu hariko figure which got their origins as paper mache toys for children.  I have the special lunar new year version from 2022 cause it's the tiger which is my zodiac.  Website goes on to say: "The mikan (mandarin orange) is a Japanese new year tradition, and the florals are the lucky flower for year of the Tiger pins this year. Likewise, the figurine is facing the Northeast which is the direction of luck and success for 2022"

On the right at the top right is the classic Koinobori, or Carp banners flown on May 5th to wish for the health and wellness of children in that household.  According to their website: "The dark blue/black is the father, red is the mother, light blue is for sons, and pink for daughters"

I have the father one which I didn't realize when I got it, but it's more because it's my favorite color LOL.

Below that is a blue hydrangea which is just my favorite color and second favorite flower.  In Japan that color represents love, sincerity, and spirituality.

Below that is a white fan from a collaboration they did.

The non binary symbols and Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and Queer Cat pins are unrelated to the artists.

A Tokyo Revengers Swap AU fanfic draft, along with Hanagaki's Brother's AU. Emma would not play the role of Kazutora, but rather Akkun, who was responsible for Hinata's death. I like to imagine and write that in this AU, Takemichi, Kazutora and Hanma are separated brothers, but still bonded because of Kazutora. In this fanfic, Hanma's role is switched with Kisaki, and here he is a true villain, taken by ambition and greed and not by romance or because he was dumped. (To the point of having his beloved brother, Kazutora, killed out of revenge and to achieve his goal.) Takemichi is the oldest brother, and he and Kazutora are very close, always looking out for each other, as they are just family. Here he never met Baji, so he doesn't have the rebellious and angry personality, but he continues to be bipolar and anxious. And Takemichi being the only safe haven of comfort for Kazutora, always calms him down. And this Kazutora's romantic partner will be our beautiful Chifuyu. 🫶🐱🏳️‍🌈🐯
