May I request a Hunter x middle child! Blight! Reader headcannons?

Summary: The reader is a Blight, and also the middle child who is often forgot about and ignored by both the Blights and everybody else. They’re not as famous as the Blight Twins or Amity, and they spend most of their time inventing abominations to TRY and impress their parents

Reader also has a similar personality to ROTTMNT Don, but I’m not sure if you’ve ever watched it so you can just ignore this bit if you haven’t :)

A/n: The way this is formatted seems like it was for a one-shot request, but you said headcannons. I'm sorry if this isn't what you wanted and I'll redo it if so. Also, I've never seen any tmnt things so sorry about that.

-Bro he GETS you.

-The feeling of your "guardian" (If you can even call them that) not paying attention to you. So thanks to Belos's, Odaila's (and Alador's to a lesser extent) "A+ parenting." Y'all both have parental issues.

-Hunter was never the best at comforting but if you are upset with your family problems he'll do what he would want people to do when he's upset. Which doesn't always work but he tries.

-Amity is a pretty good sibling she's not the best mainly when she was mean (Her green hair era.) But bro Hunter hates her even if she's trying her best.

-When Ecilpse Lake happens he is like 50 times meaner. Like dude even though she's not trying to upset you or anything, Hunter is pissed off because of any time she made you even slightly sad.

-When he learns you invent stuff he BEGS you to show him.

-Like even if you agree the first time he asks he counties to ask and you are like "Hunter I'm going to show you-"

-Also he complements them so much! He loves inventions of any kind, magic-based or not, he likes to learn how they work.

-If you tell him he is so invested. Like you can be talking for hours and he is fully listening the entire time.

I wonder if Caleb really was there

It’s actually really hard to tell weather he was a hallucination or not, that was probably the point they did a really good job making it hard to tell. And I will be completely honest, I would actually really like it if it was really him, but here is my take.

This feels like a super random place to just suddenly see him (eh, maybe if the season was longer we would get a more solid answer)

But then we realize he was right at the entrance of his creepy build a boy factory, where his bones are kept.Technically, Caleb saw he came back and was, not necessarily greeting him, he was meeting him head on.

This face, he is not only judging him, he is staring him down. There are many ghost stories of vengeful ghosts who haunt their murders. But sadly there are many more stories of ghosts who fear their murders, even in death. He is showing that he is not only disgusted and done with him, he is not afraid of him. And I think that’s supported in the next scene

Caleb is the first to appear

Then “slowly” the golden guards appear behind Caleb. The positions of the guards I feel is important

You can tell they are all standing behind Caleb only two are close enough to almost be standing with him. Some are a little further back, some are way further back and there are a couple that appear to be lurking around the pillars. I don’t think they are lurking, I think they are hiding. They are hurt and betrayed, but they are also afraid of the man that murdered them.

Caleb’s presence may help remind them that Belos can’t hurt them anymore. Which is why they only appeared after Caleb did.

Side note, that rib cage on the table in the laboratory is probably what is left of Caleb, the adult human has 206 bones, he only has what looked like either 6 or 8 ribs left and from what I could tell his tail bone is missing, but the rest of the spine is there. So however many bones are still on that table, subtract that from 206 and that might be how many golden guards their were, including the failed grim walker that wasn’t done.

They could still be imaginary, but everything surrounding Caleb has been the darkest and the most disturbing thing I haven seen in I don’t know how long. Everytime we think they are gonna stop there with this tragic family they gleefully prove us wrong, that alone makes me believe they are tragic scared and trapped spirits

@stonesleeper pointed out that when Hunter saw Caleb in the mirror, he looked sad and tired in contrast to how he looked at Belos

And again, we don’t know if it’s just in Hunters head, but it’s interesting that Hunter imagines him to look the exact same way Belos sees him in their encounter when Hunter never saw him like this, not even in the memory paintings. It’s part of ghost folk lore that they use mirrors as portals..so there is a chance that Caleb might have just been checking on Hunter and was concerned.

But that’s all just theories, but if I wanted to introduce ghost in the creepiest way possible, I would also want you to not be able to tell if they were real or if the characters were losing their minds

!!Major tw for self-harm!! If you aren't comfortable with that please skip. Also, I'm sorry if I depict anything wrong. And I'm going to exclude Gus and Collecter since it feels weird to do this with the kids.

Amity: Once she saw your scars it didn't occur to her the source of said scars. In fact, she thinks someone else did it and was pissed the fuck off. "Who hurt you." was all she could muster. Once you told her the truth her whole demeanor shifts. She goes from wanting to stab someone to looking like she was going to cry. She wraps you in abomination goop as a makeshift blanket. She was not willing to leave your side for any reason.

Luz: She's basically crying at the scars regardless of who did it. She just hates seeing hurt okay? :( But when she learns you did it she freezes. She doesn't believe it in the slightest. Starts talking about how much she loves you. Granted she's saying 100 words per second so you can only hear bits and pieces of what she's saying. But she gets her point across. That point is: I love you so much and I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Willow: She doesn't mention them once she first sees them. It's none of her business, they all look pretty healed so why push? But a few days later when you guys are just normally talking she casually brings it up. You don't know how to respond. After a few moments, you tell her the truth. And you can see it on her face, the way it hits her like a sack of bricks. The fact that she didn't ask adds to the guilt. But this isn't a moment to focus on herself. She hugs you. The next day she takes you on a really nice date.

Hunter: Once he notices he does (correctly) assume the reason. But he doesn't want to believe himself. It is pretty understandable why you would want your s/o self-harming. But he knows that if he's right but doesn't talk to you he'll regret it forever. So, despite his nervousness, he asks you. He says multiple times that it's "probably not why." His heart sinks when you confirm his fears. You're immediately wrapped in a hug. He keeps talking about how sorry he is that he didn't help, as well as how much he loves you. And he means every word of it.

Vee: She does not dance around the question. Once she sees the scars she just straight up asked, "Why are there scars all over your arms?" So that was very jarring. Once you end up telling her she just stood there. Before wrapping her tail and arms around you. You felt extra secure. She is going to let you know how much you mean to her.

Raine: They know what your scars are from the moment they see them. They don't point the scars out so that you don't get uncomfortable. They do however become way nicer (if that's even possible.) Every chance they get they'll complement you. It's a very obvious but welcomed change.

Eda: Well shit. She's not even going to ask she knows what the scars are from and she's pissed. Not at you, at herself for not noticing. She hugs you and starts apologizing without an explanation. Once she does explain she makes very clear that she's not mad at you and will help you stop.

Emira: Since she's the oldest of the Blight twins I feel like she had a lot of the pressure to be the perfect child before Amity. (Edric was just kinda ignored.) But she didn't have much of a support system so she did have thoughts she never went through with them. But Titan does it break her heart to see you going through that? Her approach was way more gentle than anyone. She staged a mini-therapy for you.

Edric: On the other hand he's pretty clueless. When you tell him he is very sad. He doesn't know what to do but he starts buying you a bunch of things. He wants you to know how valuable you are.

Lilith: She has no clue how to react. She doesn't even know what you did but her blood feels like ice with how many scars you have. She asks what happened and who hurt you. She starts tearing up when you reveal the truth. She ends up cuddling with you and tries to make you feel as secure as possible.

The two sides of the Caleb ghost or not thing

1.) essays that are sometimes good points but other times are essays that claim they must be illusions because it would be better writing and try to present that as evidence

2.) CALEB CLAIMS EACH ONE AS HIS SON! THEY BOND OVER HECKLING BELOS AND HATRED OF HIM BEING ALIVE!! THE GUARDS NOW CALL THEMSELVES THE CHILDREN OF THE BONES!!!

I love that when we first see the golden guard he’s meant to be this snarky authoritative cool guy and Hunter ended up being the most swaggless character in the whole show 😭😂 it’s great
