To drink to survive
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: yandere-verse themes, reader is unwilling but is too tired to fight, Dabi is a bitch, purge au, spoilers to Dabi's character, drunk reader, cursing. Reader is AFAB but non-binary, some suggestive comments, don't use Alcohol as a coping mechanisme kids.
they/them pronouns
Reader hated the purge even more since the league of villains are getting stronger. And the fact that villains don't follow the rules of the purge, they don't send a letter with the government's approval, they send letters to scare their darlings and when you show it to the government. They will tell you to suck it.
To stand between a yandere and their darling is suicide.
"Fucking hell." Reader cursed as they saw a burnt rose. The stem was burned yet with an intact little card attached to it. 'Please be on the wrong doormat.' They thought, begging silently to any deity they could think off. Reader picked up the rose and rushed in their apartment. As soon as Reader had locked the door, the windows already barricaded. Reader read the card with shaky hands.
'Can't wait to see you, doll. Better pack a bag, babe.'
"Oh, for fucks sake." Reader mumbled throwing the rose in the tin. "A villain for a yandere, oh how wonderful." Reader didn't have a quirk, so they knew that they had to pack a fucking bag and listen.
Dabi couldn't help but feel so giddy! Soon his little darling would be his legal darling! Unable to leave him. He was following them all day, texting Toga about a few things he needed for them.
❀BLOODSUCKER❀ - I will be getting her pads and tampons so that she can chose, I stole one of those big ass teddy bears.
NASTYBITCH - Thanks bloodsucker, you can get some of my blood later.
❀BLOODSUCKER❀ - I don't want your nasty shit, I want my future darling to be friends with your darling after they both settle down. OHHH perhaps they could have those sibling relathionships :D
NASTYBITCH - Sure, bloodsucker
'Luckily Toga is a yandere.' Dabi thought chuckling. He was going to live with the darling in one of the LOV bases, so it was important that the league liked them, plus they won't be lonely with all the other darlings.
Reader had packed a bag, but they sure as hell aren't going to cry about it. So, they decided to make a large bowl of noodles with spicy chicken and with a bottle of whiskey. Reader had just turned 20 and this was their first ever bottle they got. "If I need to deal with the purge, Imma deal with it drunk!" Reader shouted as they downed the bottle and ate their misery away. Not knowing that their yandere was already watching them, smirking in a sadistic matter.
Oh, how Dabi couldn't wait to brand Reader with his name! To make sure his darling dearest could never leave him again!
It was midnight when the purge was announced, Reader was absolutely shit faced and woke up from their drunken nap due to the sirens.
'This is your Emergency Broadcast System announcing the commencement of the annual purge. For 24 hours every yandere action will be legal except Murder and causing any permantely bodily harm to your darling, 'marking' however is allowed. The police cannot be called, the parmadics can only be called in deathly situations'
"Well, yandere dearest, I hope you can deal with a drunk me!" Reader shouted to no one in particular. "Oh, of course I can, but can you keep your hands off me?" Dabi said as he engulfed Reader in a back hug as he dropped to his knees, his body heath dangerously warm. This caused a yelp to escape their mouth. "Did you get a bag, doll?" Dabi questioned in threatening tone. "Or will you need a little help?" His hands were burning up.
Reader whined at the sensation in a drunk tone. "I got my bagg thereee." They slurred, pointing the bag next to her kitchen counter. "Oohh, you're pretty." Reader mumbled, clasping their hands together as they looked at Dabi. "Okay, you're very drunk." Dabi muttered amused. 'Oh how, easy it will be.' He thought as his grip got a bit loser.
"Doll, I am going to carry you to the couch and you will stay on there until Im back with your bag. Understood?"
Reader whined again, they were hearing loud screams outside of their apartment. Reader would rather be taken kindly then roughly, hence why their drunk. Dabi did just as he would say he would, looking as his little doll his being so complaint. Oh how giddy it made him feel. Reader was trying to reach for the bottle from the couch, trying their best to stay on the couch. A whine leaving their mouth as they failed, Dabi had walked back to the couch, a smirk visible on his face.
"I can't get the bottle~!" Reader whined outloud, tears wobling in their eyes. "Can you give me the bottle~?" Their voice had a begging under tone.
"Awhh, but your already drunk~! Shouldn't you share some with me?"
"no<3"
"Awe, i thought we could have some fun, get you nice and soft, perhaps even whinier then that you are now.."

I see your frustration with the heroes conditional empathy in bnha and your (very correct) thinking in that unless hero society changes nothing will get better, in knowing that: do you think there will be a 'subversive' ending/bnha part 2 ? Since the hero kids are just starting to see/feel the villains and the bigger picture? (I mean deku's seen it for awhile, but I don't know where he thinks he's going, with what he believes should happen vs what hero society will actually do)
I really really really want there to be a Part 2!!!! I would love for HeroAca to do a Chainsaw Man where Horikoshi gets to take a break, recuperate, plan new things, maybe move to a magazine where he can indulge in the worldbuilding and horror-tinted concepts he seems to like and where people can appreciate his furry characters.
Unfortunately, I have to think there won't be. I feel like going any further into changing Hero Society would be approaching topics that just might be too heavy, too much, too ambitious(?) to be done while keeping the core vibe of HeroAca. We've already got fans who think the Villains should all be killed, so a manga about not just saving these mass murderers but 'forgiving' them and integrating back into society? oof.
Plus, these topics might also too boring, because it'll have to talk about judicial systems and laws and ethics. I mean, I would love that; but I can see the challenge in incorporating fistfights into that to keep with the action genre.
Even though my dearest wish is that this 'end' we're approaching is just AFO being defeated and Shigaraki 'saved' from his clutches but he still hates Heroes, and therefore Part 2 would be where Deku faces off against Shigaraki/The League/Villains regarding how society should be rebuilt, I don't think that will happen. Deku doesn't have a vision for that after, and after Shigaraki abandons his plan of 'Destroy Everything' for something lighter, Shigaraki probably doesn't have a specific vision either. And therefore enter the MLA, except they're a libertarian cult with issues of their own.
See, I don't know where exactly Deku thinks he/heroes/society is going, and I think he doesn't know it either, because Horikoshi doesn't quite have the right answer for us as well. That's the issue with examining that in Part 2.
A Part 2 would likely be rebuilding a society, and even after 5000 years irl, people haven't come up with a plan that satisfies everyone about how to do just that - and to write something thoughtful and intriguing, nuanced, popular, just - that's not a task I would force on anyone if they don't feel they can handle it. Can Horikoshi handle that? Maybe, maybe not, it's up to him to decide whether he wants to tackle it. A Part 2 would be even more focus on the Villains and criminals and how they have valid points, and Villains arcs are already apparently considered 'taboo' for JUMP. HeroAcaLand is a futuristic sci-fi Japan, but it reflects modern-day Japan and its issues; it's more direct and less allegorical than a story set in an original fantasy-land would be. Somehow I think questioning the status quo is not something Shonen JUMP would like to do.
As much as I berate Deku and his friends about how disappointing they are, I know it's not 'their fault' as much as how Horikoshi writes them and handles their actions in response to the questions he set. Personally I think Horikoshi knows what their responses should ideally be and he's taking a really agonizingly long way to get there and that's frustrating especially when other readers think the kids are doing great, but that's probably me projecting and being blind to the true intent, whatever it is. Is Horikoshi pointing out their conditional empathy and is he showing the trying to tell us that all Villains should be saved, no just Shigaraki, Toga, Dabi? Or is that just my interpretation? Am I even making sense? There's so much to talk about the story, what the story seems to be about, how the author is handling the story, if the author is successfully getting the story to be about what it's about, what purposes the characters serve towards that goal, etc, etc, stuff I should've paid attention to in lit class that I've fried my brain and forgot what I'm trying to say.
But basically, yeah. I think the Hero Kids have conditional empathy and that's something they need to fix. I think they can't just save the STD trio and call that a happy ending when all the other Villains are left to continue get hunted down by Heroes. I think that's the point the story is trying to go for, but sadly I don't think there will be a Part 2 to examine that in detail because it'll be quite a Topic, one that's A Lot and Too Much. I hope there's at least one line before the end where we know society has changed and all Villains are saved.
Sorry for the ramble! Thanks for the ask! Please have a good day!

Reader who's related to Overhaul but dating shigaraki??
Honestly, I’ve talked about this with someone before and how pissed off reader would be with Shigaraki
Manga Spoilers | SFW | Angst | Pairing Shigaraki x GN! reader (kinda Setsuno x reader too ig)
You had joined the league only a few months ago, as sort of an alliance between the Shie Hissaikai and the League of Villains, but that didn’t last very long.
——————————————————————————
Y/N Chisaki, Kai Chisaki’s sibling. You were prized for your quick returns from missions, whether it was to steal UA files, or simply to slip out of a battle to carry your arrogant brother back to the underground base. You were awfully close with the majority of the thug group, including Setsuno and Chronostasis. The only problem with that was your boyfriend, they were not exactly on good terms.
Tomura Shigaraki, leader of the League of Villains. You met during the USJ attack, acting as a pro hero, only to serve as a spy for your brother. Neither of the villain groups were on good terms.
After Magne’s death, your boyfriend had been worse with you, always throwing a tantrum when Kai would message you. Shigaraki had banned the use of your last name from the hideout. Anyone who would even start to say it would choke on their own blood as their body slowly disintegrated.
He’d always argue with you about forgetting the lowly Yakuza group, but you insisted on keeping the alliance. It’d break your heart to part ways with your friends now, wouldn’t it? Not to mention you were Eri’s only parental figure that didn’t treat her badly. Shigaraki would always tell you to just take her to the League, but with Toga, it wasn’t a very good idea. Not to mention, Shig didn’t really like kids, the idea alone made him sick.
To make things worse, your dearest buddy, Toya Setsuno, had developed feelings for you. He loved how you genuinely cared about him, always popping into his room to check on him. If it wasn’t for you, he wouldn’t have anyone. You had found him on the streets, giving him a home and a family. There’s no way in hell he could ignore what you’ve done for him.
It took everything in Shigaraki’s power to keep his artist gloves on around him, you’d kill him if he did anything to Setsuno anyway.
The alliance was a way for you to join the league while being a part of the Shie Hissaikai. Information would go to both groups, and you’d meet up with either one for missions. Shigaraki would always tell you how much he hated this whole situation, even going as far to say he hated you before saying he loves you and he didn’t mean it right after.
You hated it too, but not for the same reason. Shigaraki wanted you to himself, not to Setsuno, and not to Overhaul. He wanted to protect you, no one else.
All you wanted was for them to get along. Afterall, you planned to spend the rest of your days with Shigaraki, they’d have to find common ground eventually if they both wanted you.
——————————————————————————
“Tenko... we need to talk.” you spoke, your voice barely coming out. You had heard about what happened.
He sat down next to you before pulling you onto his lap, tracing kisses along your face and neck. “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine” he said.
“Tenko, you can’t just do that to him and expect me to understand! He was the only comfort I had for years, the only friend I could rely on, and you expect me to ‘be fine’ with it?!” you yelled, pushing yourself away from his hold.
He couldn’t say anything. He’d only seen you angry once before, when Tabe had taken the food you were making for date night.
“Please, try to understand. He was a threat to the league, my life’s work, and you were so stressed out with both groups, so I just lightened your load” he said, acting as if he did you a favor.
“A threat? He didn’t do anything! He kept his word after the agreement you asshole! Everyone was in on it and you didn’t even bother to tell me?! I could’ve talked to him for you, but no, that would be too easy, wouldn’t it?” you shouted back, annoyed and angry with him.
Why couldn’t he just understand you?
“I’m fucking done, I’m leaving tomorrow...” you said.
“Baby please, just one more chance! You can’t leave me... please, just stay...” he whispered, pulling you into his arms as you tried to push away from him.
“I’m leaving, Shigaraki. You should’ve thought about that before you ruined his life.” Your words cut through him like daggers, you only called him by his alias around people, not when you two were alone. You could hear him walking towards you as you left the room, going to yours to pack you things.
“Y/N open the fucking door! I’m not fucking letting you leave too! Open the goddamn door before I disintegrate it, I’m done with this little game!” he shouted, banging on the door.
As he decayed the door, you had finished packing your stuff, quickly activating your quirk and grabbing your bag before slipping out the door.
By the time he realized you slipped out, you were already out the door. He sat on your bed in silence, tears streaming down his face as he grabbed whatever you left behind, trying to get the last bit of your scent.
——————————————————————————
You had gotten the Shie Hissaikai out of prison. The group was back together, Kai had gotten his arms back from a new member with a healing quirk. Your little world seemed whole again. You left about a month ago, already trying out things with Setsuno.
Watching from the sidelines was the one and only, Tomura Shigaraki, hands frantically scratching his neck as he watched you cradle Setsuno, the exact same way you held him.
His heart broke when you left. He didn’t realize how much of an impact you had made when you were there, and when you left.
His eyes were red from seemingly endless tears and sleepless nights, all for you. Pictures of you were turned to dust around the league, only for him to print them out again a few hours later, needing some kind of memory. Your scent had faded from his clothes, your room was cleared and given to a new member, and your leftover objects would slowly disappear as they moved in.
He longed to be in your embrace again, he wanted to hold your hand, he wanted to share his bed with you again. He missed your presence. Words couldn’t describe the pain he felt.
And now, all he could do was watch. Watch as you continued your life without him, and watch as you replaced your memories with him. He could tell you loved Setsuno, and he could easily see that he loved you just as much, if not more. His heart ached to be him, he would give you his life if you asked, he would’ve even abandoned his life’s work for you...
But he realized it all too late. He could only watch you now. He didn’t have your touch, he didn’t have your scent, and the only time you interacted with him was when you were on patrol as a “pro hero”.
Y/N Chisaki, the love of his life, had found happiness without him. And all it took was one little mistake.
