I am begging Ganbarion and Toei to make another Shonen Jump platform fighting game like Jump Superstars. PLEASE.
First of all it would hopfully shut up all the people asking for Goku to show up in platform fighters he doesn't belong in like Smash Bros, and Nickelodeon All Star Brawl of all fucking things...
Second of all those were just really good fucking platform fighting games with a very unique idea of taking individual manga panels and putting them on a page like a puzzle piece, and that would determine who you play as and what your support characters were, you could build a large team of weaker fighters with minimal support by using smaller panels of the characters early on in their arc, or you could use larger panels from later on in their arc after they've grown and have one very strong character with a lot of support, like you could pit Piccolo era Goku against Skypia Luffy. And there were just so many good interactions between characters that sometimes referenced actual things from the manga, like how this is a real move you can do based on a real panel from the manga.
This game was like... barely mid 2000's. They made exactly one sequel a few years later and then the series fucked off forever. SJ has added many new series to it's library since then and so many of these characters have grown so much since then as well.
I know there was a Shonen jump fighting game recently, but I heard it's bad... and It's still not a platform fighter anyway so I'm just not that interested, I don't like traditional fighting games, I like games where I can jump around and perform my moves just by pressing one or two buttons and a direction on the control stick.

Whenever I see Precure fans say things like 'They should make a Precure season that's more mature or adult' or 'Precure needs to start appealing more to the older fanbase', I get so confused and annoyed and I just need to say this in big text (so people can read it):
PRECURE IS A SHOUJO FRANCHISE TARGETED TOWARDS YOUNG JAPANESE GIRLS
That is who these shows are meant for, IIRC 'officially' the target demographic is something like 5-12 year old girls but from I've seen actual Japanese Precure fans say, a lot of girls view themselves as having outgrown Precure by 1st grade (obviously this doesn't mean there's no girls older than 5 who like Precure, just as a thing to keep in mind when talking about the audience for this series)
And yes, I am aware of the whole 'Toei and Bandai also include 16-35 year old men [not 100% of those are the exact age group] as a Precure demographic' thing too (although I'll admit I've never actually seen any things from Toei/Bandai stating this is a demographic they aim Precure towards, so I'll admit I take this with a mild grain of salt - don't doubt they release some merch meant for the older fanbase) but the primary audience of this series and the one they predominantly target it towards is the young girl audience.
But the point I'm trying to say here is that wanting a Precure season aimed towards adults is basically saying that you want a Precure season that isn't Precure. (And saying you want a 'more mature' season in conjunction with saying you want a season meant for adults is basically you admitting you think children's shows can't cover more mature topics - when they very well can).
And wanting Precure to start appealing more towards the older fanbase is dumb too because we are not the primary audience here, hell we're not even the secondary audience. The Western Precure fandom is still fairly small and niche, relatively speaking. Toei isn't making the show for us! They're not trying to cater to the tastes of teenage and adult fans living in the US, the UK, Australia, wherever you live as a non-Japanese fan!
Sometimes I honestly wonder if it's insecurity more than anything else. Like there's one Precure fan on the subreddit who's made multiple posts talking about 'Precure needs to start appealing more to the teenage boy demographic' and that honestly just tells me that they are a teenage boy who's insecure about liking a show meant for little girls, so they want Toei to change it so they won't be insecure about liking it anymore. (Somewhat relatedly, I'm pretty sure this is the same person who's posted multiple times talking about their idea for a military-themed Precure season where they talk about how the Precure would be a special forces team and they'd be snapping enemy necks, using firearms, and all this other weird military fetish shit AND talked about how they could imagine Cure Flamingo spinning around on a stripper pole because of her design having fishnet stockings around the time Tropical Rouge started and, when everyone called them out for this, insisted that there was nothing wrong with what they were saying and that 'Toei knew what they were doing when they designed Flamingo' 🤢🤢🤢🤢)
But anyways yeah, just let Precure be what it is! If you want it to be more 'adult' or 'appealing to the older fanbase', just please stop I beg of you.

Dragon Ball Super Manga ch. 10-13
Uh... I’m pretty sure you’re a Namekian, Piccolo.
No really, what is up with that? “I am not Namekian”? See, I never paid attention to the manga until this year, so I would always hear about it second-or-third-hand. A new chapter would come out and fans would be like “Can you believe what Toyotaro did?!” I’m a little surprised that I never heard about this one, since it seems like it would stir up more controversy. But I remember all the pearl-clutching about Bardock’s appearance in the manga, and Moro’s different forms, and changes made to the Tournament of Power, and so on.
I think the idea here is that Piccolo is trying to say he’s more than just an ordinary Namekian, but maybe that got lost in translation. Anyway, Toyotaro can have Piccolo say he’s a big green duck if it makes him happy. It’s not gonna ruin my day.
Not much different from the anime, except that Piccolo puts up a better fight against Frost. He’s still outmatched, but he doesn’t just bank everything on a Special Beam Cannon, suggesting that his situation isn’t as desperate as it is in the anime. And when Vegeta fights Frost, it takes a couple of pages, which is more satisfying than the single punch he used in the anime.
One complaint I have is that the manga never really sets up Frost’s reputation as a hero in Universe 6, so when his cheating gets exposed, it doesn’t have the same dramatic impact. Maybe Toyotaro found all of that needlessly complicated, and yeah, I’d agree. But that was the only personality Frost had, and if you don’t show it in the manga, then you’ve left him with nothing.
On to Auta Magetta, and Toyotaro doesn’t bother with that stupid force field box and the rule change that went with it. Instead, Vegeta has to cope with Magetta being invulnerable, so Goku suggests that he try throwing Magetta the same way Goku tossed out Botamo. Except Magetta weighs 1000 tons, so that’s a non-starter. Pfft. Superman could do it.
Instead, Vegeta takes to the air, like he did in the anime, and starts blasting away parts of the ring. It’s basically the reverse of what happened in the anime. There, Vegeta nearly got eliminated by ring-out, but his foot happened to touch a piece of the stage that had been broken off, so technically he was still on the stage. Here, Vegeta is making a hole in the stage so that Magetta will lose no matter where he stands.
And this begs the question: What sort of notes was Toriyama providing Toei and Toyotaro? The way I’ve always heard it, he just writes out a general outline and hands it off to both parties. The differences we see between the anime and the manga reflect the gaps that they had to fill in. I don’t think Toyotaro is worried about recreating the anime scripts, and Toei isn’t trying to faithfully recreate Toyo’s manga the same way they did with Dragon Ball in the 80′s and 90′s.
The thing is, most of the details in this saga have been pretty much identical until we got to this fight. Did Toriyama just write “Vegeta fights the big robot guy, calls him names, and wins that way“? I mean, that’s the only explanation I can come up with.
Moving on, Goku vs. Hit goes mostly the same way, except Goku uses Super Saiyan instead of SSJ Blue like he did in the anime. Also, he points out this whole thing about Hit keeping his hands hidden in his pockets when he fights, to make it harder to tell what his movements will be during the time skip, and that... keeps his movements predictable? I don’t get it.
Hit wants Goku to use Super Saiyan Blue, mainly because he knows he can do it from fighting Vegeta earlier, but instead Goku switches to Super Saiyan God, because he needs the extra power to overwhelm Hit’s time-skip, but he still isn’t ready to use Blue.
Hit’s time skips appear to become less and less effective, and Whis explains that it’s because Goku’s so much stronger in this form. Hit’s technique only works against fighters near or below his level. Uh... okay? So then Hit powers up to his full strength, which is... the exact opposite of how it worked in the anime.
See, again, I really wish I could get a look at Toriyama’s notes that he handed off to everyone. Well, I mean, I’d need them translated into English first, but seriously. It’s like he wrote: Hit’s time skip works on Vegeta but Goku just powers up and he’s fine. And both groups had to figure out how to make that make sense.
The thing is, Toyotaro’s theory sort of works, except if all Goku has to do is power up to cancel out the time-skip advantage, why didn’t it work for Vegeta, who went straight to Super Saiyan Blue as soon as the bell rang? Whis claims it’s because Vegeta had already used Super Saiyan Blue against Cabba, and that reduced his ability to perform at that level later, when he fought hit. Uh... okay? Or maybe Goku’s Super Saiyan God form is superior to Vegeta Blue? Ugh, this is confusing. I can see why Toei just had Goku stack Kaio-ken on Blue and make it clear that he was taking a huge gamble with it.
Wait, so if Goku’s not using the unstable Kaio-ken/Blue combination, then why would he quit the match? Well, he just does... he points out that Hit can’t use all his techniques because they involve lethal force, which is illegal, so he proposes fighting again in a more favorable situation. Then he just jumps out.
Goku also says that he quit specifically to see Monaka clean up, which doesn’t feel like enough to me. He also asks Vegeta why he wasted Super Saiyan Blue power on Cabba, implying that their reasoning was the same. Neither of them actually give a shit about this tournament, so they’d rather blow the matches on developing the Universe 6 fighters for better matches in the future.
And that sums up this tournament in a nutshell. Whether you experience it through the manga or the anime, it ends up being this hollow event that only serves to promote a bigger, more interesting contest later on. There’s nothing for the fighters to gain or lose in all of this. Beerus and Champa have a prize at stake, but their fighters don’t get to share in the winnings. There’s the threat that the losing team could be destroyed, but we all know that’s not going to happen.
Still, they could have at least made the fights more evenly matched. Then again, Goku vs. Hit was evenly matched, and Goku quit anyway, so this tournament was a complete rip-off from start to finish.

more spoilers for episode 5 of Kingohger under the cut
because GOD did this episode not disappoint
Rita with heterochromia? YES PLEASE. that transformation scene was just badass chefs kiss (also because they were just, dryly pressing all the switches compared to the others)
I am in LOVE with Moffun. Toei. if you sell Moffun I will buy guaranteed. (also Rita in that scene is just my soul animal I will surround myself in plushes and talk to them )
Also Rita just not being able to handle social interactions is such a MOOD.
Ok but them bitch slapping Racules >>>>>> + their reasoning was just perfection. Didn't think I'd see them do it but here we are Kingohger really is not disappointing.
The Mech fight LMAO. Rita just gets thrown off and is like "oh" and has to fly ALONE to try to rejoin the fight. Problems with being on the sword rip
Toei also has decided to give us two dysfunctional teams in a row. all of the Kingohgers being too full of themselves to allow the others to control the mech resulting in pure chaos is so funny.
Oh and Gira getting kicked by Rita during the transformation. They really don't want traditional transformation scenes huh?
also Himeno being like "hurry tf up im cold" YEAH WHY DID YOU WEAR YOUR DRESSTO GOKKAN
and finally, the one I was the most excited for: The himerita scene.
GOD THEY ARE SO GAY CHANGE MY MIND WHY WERE THEY BICKERING LIKE A LITERAL MARRIED COUPLE. THEY LOOK LIKE THEY WANT TO TEAR EACH OTHER APART. (also can we just talk about how Himeno legit went "If you are going to do something to me, please do it," GURL YOU ARE BEGGING FOR SHIT TO HAPPEN)
also them working together to confirm Racules and Gira are related >>>>>

hey me again, no thanks i'll stay anon since mimato shippers are super aggressive and bitter. Guess i don't have the right to argue since i am anon, so i'll just say koumi, jyoumi, and michi are all good ships with great quality and not-usually pervy fanart, and yeah the mishirou account's doing too much but hey at least they've yet to start begging+spamming on twitter saying "fuck you toei", while tagging every digimon tag possible in both english and japanese for the whole fandom to see right?
You're literally coming into my inbox and insulting me and then telling me that Mimato shippers are bitter and aggressive?? We've been the most bullied side of the fandom for so long, of course, we don't tiptoe on eggshells anymore, if you come for us we will fight back!!
Do you even know what Taiora fandom pulled during Mimato Week last week? Do you know how many times we have to go into the Mimato tag and see people bashing the ship, how many fanarts/fanfics have been deleted from every fandom site because of hate comments and reviews? We've been backed into a corner for years, and now that we have created a fun space for ourselves you lot have to come in and invade whenever you see us doing events and such. We are not bitter and aggressive, we are tired of the bullshit way the fandom has treated us for so long, anyone would lose the patience to be nice after what we've endured.
And pervy fanart, lmao are you 10 years old???
Please, the correct term is NSFW and the site called Pixiv that you claimed is a win for Koumi post tonnes of NSFW art of Mimi with every character so I don't know how Mimato shippers doing the same makes us evil - oh wait! Your next statement explains it, Koumi event mod is in the wrong BUT we are further in the wrong by your standards! So no other shipping fandom stirring up shit has to answer to anything but Mimato shippers must control themselves lol! What happened to letting anyone ship whatever they want? And as far as the tagging Toei is concerned, EVERY single Non-So/ra/to shipper has done that at some point, brave of you to assume that it's only Mimato fandom doing that. And since you did bring up the Reboot yesterday, there was a aggressive S/ora/to/Ta/ka/ri account on twitter that sent death threats to the Digimon anime's official account in replies and qrt's almost every week while the series was airing. And fyi, tags are meant to be used the exact way you just mentioned 🤣 Everyone posts whatever they dislike about the series in the main tags, for example, the Tri slander has always been off the charts in the Tri tags. But again, I get it, this behaviour is wrong only when Mimato shippers do it right?
Now I understand why you're refusing to come off anon, because you're probably one of those preachy blogs in the fandom that says stuff like "i support all ships uwu no hate to anyone uwu" but doesn't actually support all ships. Because you will hold the ship you hate accountable for any tiny mistake they may make while let the behaviour of other shipping fandoms slip under the radar.
You have a lot of audacity to continue to stay anon and disrupt my day and demand justifications from me over your own perceptions and opinions. Very easy for you to get on with your reputation in the fandom despite being a full bitch, while I am viewed as the "bitter and aggressive" person because I don't take shit sitting down.
#digimon#no wonder koumi tag is dead most of the time#because the shippers would rather pull shit like this then make their own content that they can enjoy#anonymous#answered

#IM BACK TO LOVE THIS MOMENT MORE #also one of the best differences in the anime < manga I think imho is that the anime had him reach out to Goku while he’s talking #which is NOT a bad choice I know usually I drag toei but there is a special kind of awful (pos) in reaching out while you’re dying #but in the manga he cannot move. He is Too Weak to even lift his hands all he can do is tell Goku the lore and beg Goku to win #And specifically for a character like Vegeta I love that choice in the manga because it’s really hammering that he has No strength left #And so when he cries you know he doesn’t even have any power left to be numb he just has to lie there and feel everything #30 years of pain pouring out the literal and metaphorical hole in his armor because he’s actively dying and he can’t carry it anymore #Ugh. Love this arc so much. Love this whole moment so much. Top 10 Character Deaths imo. #And I know that ‘he just comes back what was the point’ is real and a cop out in a lot of media but I think here especially #Vegeta’s resurrection being unplanned and undeserved is something He Has to Live With for the rest of the series #Like he didn’t want to die but also he doesn’t GET to die ykwim he’s burdened with the task of Know What You Did and Do Better #And he does! He tries and he fails and he tries again and he learns to do better every time he fucks up #And the 20-Year-Long Payoff of his arc in Z is that it turns out he’s an INCREDIBLE protagonist in Super(‘s manga). #And I am rambling again but !!! I’m just love this this death was important narratively while still bringing him back and I LOVE that
Adding to that I hate when ppl say "death has no meaning in DB bc of the Dragon Balls" like excuse me, yeah five chapters later (give or take) he'll be back but wdym this death has no meaning?
100% did this change the outcome compared to if Vegeta had lived and been transported to Earth along with everyone else. That's a guy you have to destroy before you can build smth better out of him. He needed to die and I'm so grateful that Toriyama caved to the fans and brought him back and had him along for the entire ride. This fictional gnome means more to me than is reasonable ok.

I think the ideal Kamen Rider Girls Remix would just be Rinna, Akari and Ozawa making Drivers for all the women who, for "plot" reasons, didn't get to henshin. Line starts behind Kiriko, with Satonaka a VERY close second on a technicality lol

despite my best efforts i am still thinking about stupid fuckign beyond generations
first of all how in the hell are we still doing “i hate you dad bc of work you weren’t there for The Big Event” in 2022. please! i’m begging you to get new material! i guess you could call it a showa throwback in this instance. and whatever, either way it’s for babies, right? that’s a relatable enough experience for the 7 yr olds in the audience.
...except in this case dad’s “work” was (willingly!) performing human experimentation at the behest of a fascist organization! so MAYBE. just maybe. a defter and more nuanced hand could’ve been used with the writing of the story!
like how on earth does the shocker scientist part end up as a footnote in the parent/child drama compared to “you weren’t there to ride the train with me”!?? the kid in question is now a 60 year old man so personally i’d say he’s old enough to be able to forget the fucking train for a second!
it’s so insane like. why write the dad to have been a morally bankrupt willing shocker recruit if you just wanted to do this twee fake-ass “parents always love their kids” shit??
and if you were really set on him being Like That then like... there were options, here. really obvious options. write the son to not be hostile but rather to have constructed an elaborate fantasy over the yrs about what actually happened to his dad. envisioning him as an amazing person: maybe he was a spy who went into hiding. maybe he knew too much about a crime and fled the country to protect his family. maybe he died saving someone else from drowning and his body was never recovered. a hero.
and then that’s all shattered when he shows up in front of him 50 years later and tells him the truth. and he has to process that his father wasn’t a purely good person. and the moral becomes not some clownish tired shit but instead that if we were all heroes all the time then no one would be. that the people closest to us are capable of being villains, too. but they are also capable of changing if they try.
and rather than takeshi thanking the dad for kaizo ningenifying him which was imo a bridge too far it’s rather. just an acknowledgement. that even evil actions can have a butterfly effect and create something good. that everything we do is part of the sum of human experience and could influence incredible outcomes. “a century of human history is made up of both wonderful and terrible things.“
but instead we got. the actual film. who wrote this dumb shit
oh come on! this one, too!? well i guess my brain would be running on fumes as well if i was toei’s new generation pinch-hitter
