“Hopefully”. Shit I really said that out loud. “Oh my god!” Nick says closing Matt’s bathroom door. “You like Matt?” Nick says loudly. “Shut the fuck up!!”. I say covering nicks mouth. “Holy shit, like I knew he liked you but you liked him?”. “Yes okay, but you can’t tell anybody”. “That’s why you slept in his bed?”. “No Nick! He offered me. I was going to sleep in the couch and he wouldn’t let me”. “And today at top golf! When he… oh my god!”. “Nick it’s not that big of a deal!”. “Yes it is! Oh god I have been blind this whole time, you fuckers!”. “You’re really dramatic”. “Yes I am but still!”. “Okay but try to not make a big deal out of this!”. “Please”. I continue. Nick goes out of the bathroom and a keep doing my make up.

“Ally come on!”. Chris says. “You have been in there 1 hour and a half!”. He continues. “Okay, okay I’m ready”. I say stepping out of the bathroom. “You look awesome!”. Chris says. “Thanks! Youuu look great too”. I say.

“Matt!”. Chris yells. “Are you ready we’re all ready”. He continues. “Okay I’m out”. Matt says stepping out of his room, he looks up and sees me, I look at him a really weird feeling comes to my stomach, kind of like butterflies. “Wow you look… really good”. Matt’s says coming closer to me. “You look good too”. I say to him. The fucking tension between us could be cut with a knife! He actually looks 1000 more x hotter than really good.

“Ally come on let’s go”. Nicks says which makes me come back to reality and realize they’re going outside. Matt opens the door for me and Nick. “Thank you”. I say confused. Matt was always a gentleman. At 17 he was the kindest human being and Im glad to see he is still the same. We get into the car and Chris starts playing music. I find myself singing a song.

We arrive at Madi’s and I see her. “Madi!!” I say running to her. “Ally!!” She says hugging me. “It’s been long since e we saw each other”. She says to me. “You look so cute!” I say to her. “Thanks you too, come in!” She says to the four of us. “Drinks are here, bathrooms this way and we have some music if you want to play something”. She says pointing at all the stuff. “Great!” Nick says. “Well I’m going to enjoy this fucking party”. Chris says and Nick goes right after him.

“So”. I say. “So”. He says realizing we are now alone. “Let’s sit here”. He points at a sofa. “Sure I’ll get us some drinks”. I say heading to the kitchen. I take out the root beers out of the fridge. “I’m back”. “How did you know I wanted root beer?”. He asks me. “You always want a root beer”. I say.

“So I already told you what ive done this few years, what about you?”. I ask Matt. “Nothing to out of the ordinary just filming and having fun”. “No but really”. I say to him seeking the truth. He thinks for a moment

“Things were always different the minute I didn’t see you, our parents were really close and we saw each other every day, so I guess it felt weird when we weren’t with you. We’ve been doing this for 3 years now and I guess you have seen us go on tours and stuff. When we were in the let’s trip tour, I was kind of hopping you’d appear or come to one of our shows, but I know you couldn’t. My mental health has been fucking horrible, I’m just not really a talking person, less in videos because I feel I could share so much but I can’t I just don’t want to”.

He says realizing he just told me everything. “Sorry”. He says. “It’s fine”. “Matt, are you okay?. I say. We lean closer to each other but he put his forehead to mine “we cant do this, not here” He says looking at me in the eyes then the lips and back to the eyes.

Holy fuck that was….. something else. That little look brought back the memories of that night we’ve sworn to forgotten. (anon u linked all those videos for) thank you so much! ill definitely check kut those videos but just reading ur posts and personal opinions/analysis on it has helped me feel a lot better. i just saw a dem politician on fox news (my dad watches it) saying basically the same thing, that hes happy he stepped down and they have a chance now. im glad to know that the stuff that ppl are sharing that has scared me are probably just blackpilled "trump is inevitable at this point" ppl ive been trying to get off my dash every time they pop up. again thank you so much for patiently explaining things so well and all the videos!!! hope u find a dollar in ur pocket today 🙂

I would hesitate to say that everyone who's afraid about it is "blackpilled" mostly because I think a lot of folks just aren't very aware of why he chose to step down, and draw the pretty reasonable conclusion that stepping down this late in the game will mean a scramble to replace him and shift voter support to a new candidate- which could jeopardize the election for Democrats.

And I do think that's a reasonable conclusion to draw, because it's what I saw people saying about the possibility of Trump being disqualified over the criminal charges he's been facing, like, a year ago: that the best possible outcome of that would have been that he'd be disqualified too close to the election for Republicans to get any energy behind a new candidate.

The difference in context is that most of the support for Biden in this race was just support for the Democratic party; or in a lot of cases, support for anyone but Trump. The support for Trump, on the other hand, is support for Trump specifically. Trump brings a lot of voters in who wouldn't otherwise vote at all, which is, to my understanding, why so many Republicans who disagree with him still throw support behind him as a candidate.

If Trump dropped out (or was disqualified somehow), Republicans lose a lot of voters who were only showing up to elect Their Guy. Biden dropping out means that the voters who were only gonna vote for Biden because he was the Democratic nominee (which was where most of his support was coming from) will vote for whoever the next nominee is anyway, and Dems now have a chance to pick someone who will draw in more voters who weren't feeling motivated to vote for Biden, but who would be willing to vote for a Democrat that inspires a little more confidence (and there are several candidates to choose from that fit this bill!)

Which is just to say that I think it's understandable that folks just are not aware of this context, and are just using the information they do have to make what would otherwise be pretty reasonable guesses. I'm definitely surprised by how common that seems to be, just because I guess I don't notice the water I'm swimming in, but I really hope the narrative will shift as more folks get curious about what this means and start to learn/educate each other.

im a little surprised about my spectre drawing recently,, honestly, I’ve felt very eeh and not sure how much I really liked it ,, but I got a lot of reactions and replies on the discord and some really really kind reblogs here.. some of you bring tears to my eyes, you’re too sweet..! thank you so much,, <3

speaking of tears to my eyes, I reached the end of Sky (children of the light) a few days ago, bawled a bit. I was a bit emotional that day but the music is fucking transcendent, as were the visuals absolutely stunning,, I think I needed to cry like that, definitely thought about a lot of things.. im excited to play and discover more,, really awesome game..

I tried the new risk of rain 2 DLC too, it’s pretty cool,, I didn’t see much of the new stuff but the new stages and items were pretty neat , I think I’ll like survivors of the void more still though,, am glad they’re working on fixing all those bugs and stuff too, that was kind of a shit show..

hell yeah. they call me the Playlist Guy (ive never been called that in my life by anyone except me just now) . but anyways yes yes music is soooo so so wonderful especially when it comes to expressing myself like you said !!! im not so good at articulating the nuances of my emotions a lot of the time but there has been sooo many times where ive listened to a song and its like Woaugh... that's Literally me.... a lot of times its for when im not feeling so good which is Bleghh But it also goes the other way!! there is sooo much that can be expressed through music and i have so much admiration for songwriters and composers who can perfectly articulate so much emotion and meaning and story in packages that are often so small... back on my car seat headrest bullshit but part of the reason why i love them sm is their lyrics they're so Ougrh... so good at telling stories and conveying emotion that hits you Right in the Gut!!!!! & a lot a LOT of csh's discography revolves around the lead singer will toledo's queerness and identity so i think that is also why it gets to me so much.... i have a dysphoria playlist which is just songs that reminds me of my Transgenderism and there's sooo many csh songs on there even if they're not linked to being trans at all just because they're soooo encompassing of a lot of things i feel regarding my identity !! it's very wonderful ♡ not the dysphoria part. everything else >_< !!!

my day has been very relaxing!!!! well. no actually i lie.... i watched the new episodes of the apprentice with my mom and. my god the incompetence level of all those contestants is insane i got so STRESSED!!! the only business knowledge i have is from my gcse business studies qualification and i think i could do better ANYWAY!!!! positive vibes! good vibes!!! i did have a lot of fun making bracelets!! here's some of the ones ive made!!

excuse the shitty lighting my bedroom is terrible for it 😭😭 !! i love making these... often they're just references to shows or other things im into !! the first one (top left!) is based on jinx from arcane because i looove that show and i looove her.... the next one after that is inspired by a song called europapa by joost klein and i made it during last year's eurovision season bc he represented the netherlands with that song !! i LOOOVE eurovision so so so much every time eurovision season rolls around i go crazy but that's a yap session for another time. .. once I did spend an hour sending my irls voice notes of every single eurovision fact i knew... normal guy behaviour! the pink and green one next to that is for a ship from a game i like! the character's signature colours are pink and green so i was like Yeah.. lets go..! middle left is the gay flag #pride or whateva! i love it . so silly. the Middle one is inspired by twilight from my little pony 😭😭 I LOVE MLP and she's LITERALLY ME ahem... anyway.. and the next one is based on hole, one of my fave bands! the colour scheme is loosely inspired by their cover for their album 'live through this' and also just the Vibes i get from their music tbh.. and then the trans flag with my pronouns #pride again ! then the lesbian one I made for my friend !!! aaand lastly... rainbow one that says 'rawr XD' i may be cringe but I am free...

this post is gonna have a lot more text than my usual posts. so sorry if you don't want that.

so people seemed to really like my idea (which is really unexpected !! i didn't expect it to gain any attention at all!!! but its also super awesome and im so glad they do!!) so ive been brainstorming a little bit.

heads up i know yume nikki is a very ambiguous game but im pretty new to it so if i happen to get any established information wrong please let me know !? ty !!

anyways. before we do the effects. please take some sprites.

(body horror ((multiple eyes, messed up limbs, gunshot sounds)) under the cut!!! pls stay safe !!! ) (also a huge lore dump. sorry!)

id think this au takes place in a universe where the resonance cascade was real (aka not a game or simulation) and it'd be like, maybe a few months after it. gordon is traumatized as hell and it haunts his subconscious to the point he feels the need to isolate himself completely. he relives his trauma through eerily consistent dream worlds and then dies on a random tuesday. credits roll. audience cheers. wonderful story.

the vision for the sprites is that tommy functions as a "friendly" npc (like monoko and the other girl i forget the name of please forgive me) and benrey functions as poniko, uboa being "xenrey" or essentially messed up alien benrey (the weird...white...blood....world...room...uboa takes you to when you interact with it is simply replaced by xen. that's it. benreys house is a direct gateway to that time gordon fought god and won and isn't that amazing.)

i might remake the "uboa" sprite in the future because i don't really like it right now. im very new to pixel art and imitating YMNK's style is a little hard.

i like to think this imaginary game would have the teensiest tiny bit of dialogue, only when interacting with benrey. when you interact with his "regular" form, he says "you're not supposed to be here." and repeats it every time you interact, not saying anything else.

i know one of the biggest things that makes yume nikki stand out is its lack of dialogue, but listen, i think it would work well!!! seeing as this is the only time a character actually talks to gordon through understandable dialogue (unless i come up with something else!! haha) i think it would be confusing and throw players off because it breaks the pattern of being either ignored or silently acknowledged. someone talking directly to you after hours of isolation is confusing and unpredictable. which is what benrey is. confusing as hell!

im not sure what function tommy would offer, if any, i kinda want him to maybe give gordon an effect (soda effect could work?)

i dont think he'd bring any jumpscares or intentionally unsettling things to the table. seeing as he was the only one by gordon's side when the rest of the team proved itself to be a threat, i think it's logical he'd remember tommy in a warmer light than the others- which is reflected in how instead of unsettling or ignoring gordom, dream tommy simply smiles and gives him the ability to drink a soda any time. soda effect.

does this soda effect make you see faster like tommy said?

as much as i'd love to, no. probably not. because i have no idea what the hell seeing faster means.

maybe you can get a caffeine overdose. if you spam 1 enough times you will get very fast for as long as the soda effect is on. like the bycicle effect, but better, because you can taste it!

but no, it won't help you see faster. i don't know how to translate that sentence into understandable english.

now, coomer and bubby!!!! i apologize very deeply for i have not made sprites for them yet. i promise i will!!! it's just very late today and if i draw anything else i will actually just pass out.

im not very sure what i want for them yet. i think theyd be similar to tommy, but they'd have different functions. maybe they all give gordon different effects. or maybe they scare him! i dunno, i feel like there'd be a certain level of distrust from gordon to the old guys, like, of course he doesn't hate them but itd be hard to remember them super kindly and harmlessly when one of them ruthlessly tried to murder you with 300 clones of himself and the other tricked you into an ambush that cost you your arm, as much as you love them.

also!!! i completely forgot gordon lost an arm when i made his sprite. oops. it's okay its just a very realistic prosthetic

anyways. this post is getting too long so i think I'll save the boomer talk for when i actually post their sprites. its time for EFFECTS !!

i haven't been able to come up with many words yet. but i have some effects and a slight idea of how gordon would earn them.

from left to right (because my handwriting is absolutely hideous!)

SODA - earned by interacting with TOMMY. wherever tommy is??? i dunno! pressing 1 will make gordon drink the soda and earn a temporary speed boost.

CAR??? - part of me really wants to rename this one but it's so funny to me i want to keep it. it's just a car. he literally just whips out a car and starts driving. what a legend. this effect lets him get across water areas faster (even faster than the soda!)

LONG HAIR - literally just gives him long hair. there is no practical use for this. nothing will happen. it just gives him long hair. isnt he beautiful.

ARM - earned by interacting with a dismembered arm found... somewhere.... probably some dark room. you know that effect where madotsuki literally just becomes a head? yeah. this is that but it's an arm because of course it is. this is an opportunity and i will not give it up. there is no use for this either. it just makes him a slow sad lonely arm.

MINIGUN - found by interacting with a certain object in POTION !! WORLD !! YEAHHH!! DARNOLD REFERENCE !!! pressing 1 will let you shoot the hell out of your enemies and make them pay for their sins

SWEET VOICE - found by interacting with any of the orbs in COLOR WORLD. 1 will allow gordon to song a beautiful, colorful song that will soothe any npcs he might have angered and make them stop trying to murder him.

POWERLEGS - MAYBE given by coomer npc? idk! this is all brainstorming and a work in progress! 1 makes gordon jump real high, allowing him to reach otherwise unaccessible areas

GHOST - ghost. he's a ghost. he's transparent. he flies. 1 makes him do a little ooooo noise and all the npcs run away from him because the place is haunted. ghost.

GLASSES - literally just pick up some glasses from the floor. putting them on will uncover a few hidden details across the map that may be necessary for progress ... like a very small and specific set of stairs

SMALL - makes gordon very small. i thought the original effect was super fun so i just kept it unchanged. small gordon. he can clone himself and make a gordon army. small. im thinking he finds it thru a coomer clone that is abnormally small. he interacts. small effect. small!

SHORT HAIR - literally just short hair. gordon can't seem to pick a haircut!

UMBRELLA - ...umbrella. makes it rain. shelters gordon from the rain at the same time. can be used for the same purpose it has in yume nikki which is putting out fires or stopping pre-existing rain.

there's supposed to be more effects and i still need to plan all the worlds and hidden rooms but ........ maybe when the sun is out and i have slept and i can think better !!! let me know whatever suggestions or ideas you guys have. i love hearing them a lot ^_^ thank you if you read all of this!! i promise hlvrai animations are not over this is just an au that has temporarily taken over its okay my content is not changing to yume nikki hlvrai only

i just got back from watching the eclipse at my school! I didnt get any pictures but it was a huge gathering with food and music and stuff it was very nice. Kids and dogs running around too very cute. Afterwards my sisters friend who knows practically everyone in the entire world introduced us to two brony girls (pegasisters..LMFAOOO) and got their insta and talked for a while. So im very happy with that cause they’re really nice. And even if its just for today im so glad i got to talk to a bunch of people 😸 then a bunch of us went to get smoothies..! Not too many big things going on.. Lately my life has been pretty boring i wont lie im just very exhausted a lot of the time. Now that its a little warmer and sunny these days though im more motivated to go outside to my usual spots and engage in my outside hobbies. I still feel very anxious lately about genuinely every little thing but im getting there and i know it’ll pass ^__^ on Saturday we went to a (new!!!) huge antique store (need to take u there…very fun stuff..) and i spent a lot of money.. i figured i usually buy nothing anywhere so id treat myself. MY BEAR SHIRT.. ill post my haul when i get home.. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN!!!! After we went to an Indian buffet it was very good i tried goat for the first time. ^__^ and they had mango ice cream… ummy..<3

So hi! Yes, hello. I came up with Jimothy several years ago and was the one to submit the prior propaganda to the blog. These two have been in so many scenarios in my mind, y'all have no idea. They are so small. They are both mentor figures (more or less). They, uh, small. Even outside the ship dynamic, I can imagine them being amazing friends. Did you know that prior to their Disney work, both of their original voice actors (Cliff Edwards for Jiminy, Edward Brophy for Timothy) were in a live-action film with Buster Keaton? In high school I got permission to screen the 2nd Gurren Lagann movie in the school auditorium on the colossal projector and I feel like we are walking the same path

it was nice coming back to it after all this time! ttgl had genuinely dropped out of like, things that i considered My Media or whatever. it was a younger me who watched this after her first watch of evangelion, who couldnt even conceptualize the idea of being trapped in a shell, who bought her little core drill necklace off the internet. those memories are genuinely fuzzy now. time really flies.

but watching the movies for the first time (well, technically REwatching gurren-hen but still) at nearly 30, after being a girl for like a half-decade, really reminded me how much this series meant to me as a kid. how like novel and powerful the idea of looking at a fundamentally uncaring, unloving, even antagonistic universe and find the strength from others and eventually yourself to go on and go Further was. the idea that that whole time kamina was scared too, but seeing simon working so hard gave him the strength to keep pushing him onward. that even if it is all fundamentally empty and there isnt any capital M Meaning in life, despite how utterly illogical it is humans still create our own. it got to me as a little not-yet-girl who had been continually struggling with depression and questioning her christian upbringing for years. it still gets to me now. i feel pretty lucky that i can look back on that as "the past" now. but its still here in me. hopefully it always will be.

to say nothing of the style and presentation of it all. ttgl like other Teen Media is really what set me on the aesthetic trajectory im on. i tend to go to klk for that stuff nowadays for obvious reasons but chronologically its really ttgl (and like homestuck, of course) that shaped what i value about stories and animation today. it was what introduced me to the idea of real vs super robots! it introduced me to imaishi! and kazuki nakasima! kamen rider fourze, kill la kill, re: cutie honey all of this stuff for me traces back to me watching the ttgl dub on whatever pos streaming site i watched it on. im pretty grateful for that.

theres plenty of shit i could talk too, ofc. its a pretty misogynistic show in all the boring ways these anime tend to be. funny homophobic stereotype whos actually Cool and Awesome at what he does so it doesnt matter that hes a stereotype. another (the very first?) not fully baked Oppression Metaphor. due to being tv series compilations the movies' pacing can stumble at times (tho lagann-hen fares much better in this regard). but all in all this is The Way to revisit the series, i think. if you're watching for the first time i'd definitely recommend the tv show first. but for us who have been there n done that and want to remember how a drill works, you gotta watch the movies. im glad i did!

and wow! i dont really think i have the words to describe how i feel after all that ghsad

it was all so surreal and just amazing

but! ill start with the rundown of what i did today :)

started by going to the nomai graveyard in the dark bramble, it wouldve been nice to have actually gone there before my first venture to the vessel but i managed i suppose

then went to the vessel to try out the coords, but surprise surprise it wasnt powered. I was able to make the "theres more the explore here" thing go away though, so that was a good sign

then went back to the ember twin and finally went to the lakebed cave. i had already found out myself the whole being in the dark + quantum stuff thing but it was nice to officially learn it i suppose. also the skeletons in there are silly

then! went to the ash twin in my attempts to make it inside the ash twin project. came to the conclusion that it was probably with one of the towers based off what i read about the warp pad in there and lo and behold, i waas right

really cool stuff there! but you know what the coolest part was? the advanced warp core of which i of course snatched.

this was the point where i was like, yeah, this is it

soo shoutout to good awesome wonderful fren drama (hi! if you are reading this :D), they wanted to watch me complete it.

but first! they helped me out with the quantum moon and the sixth location, and wow! was in the hopes i would be able to talk to a nomai somewhere during the very beginning, and my wishes came true. now i have 1/6 of a new fren and had some nice conversations

after a little interruption, is was time to beat it!

got the warp core again, went through hell, powered up the vessel, entered the coords, and bam, the eye of the universe

again, wow :'D

really had no words for what i was seeing at the time, and still don't, it was just amazing

per request of fren i shot my little scout buddy up first and then cannonballed my way through after it

seeing the museum again, being in the woods, seeing all the supernovas, gathering everyone together for one final song ouhgheasdeffhsas,,,,,

and then we start anew!

im just, wowed, by absolutely everything. i may not be able to verbally express it audibly or with text, but, just, it was awesome man

i see why everyone wishes they could play the game again for the first time, it really is a peak example of one of those games

but hey, i got to see everything-besides hollows lantern but we ignore that um- and im just glad i played the game in the first place

after everything, drama helped guide me to the silly endings-which. truly, the kazoo credits were the most emotional song- met myself and screamed at myself, n broke the fabric of reality twice!

all n all, amazing game, will be forcing all my friends to play it

mmm, how hard, you ask? well, i mainly have problems with anatomy, because learning every vertebral notch and groove, every cranial sinus, etc is pure hell. i wonder what will happen when we start studying internal organs next semester,,, there is only a year and a half left to study, and i will be free. other than that, pretty much nothing else bothers me, even pharmacology or latin, which are also quite complex, but for me they're much more interesting. actually, i would like to do some research too, it sounds interesting!! but i'm afraid to make plans for the future, so as not to be disappointed again. so let's hope that wherever we end up, we will be happy eventually

Woah... I absolutely get the memorization struggle sobsob. I'm studying mandarin, and even though I'm learning simplified, memorizing the characters is so tough... especially when trying to write them without a reference. Hehe I can't relate to that much, my favorite thing ever is to dream of the future <3 it's what keeps me going!!! One day, I'll be in an Ivy League university, and then when I'm done I'll move to Taiwan to work as a researcher in a university.. (I hope)

Where I live there's a lot of white people, so it's pretty liberal for the region it's in, but wearing something so cute and frilly is definitely seen as childish and weird...
