“You seem equally as dwarvish,” she ends up saying, her voice strained enough to sound harsh, “they’re not fireproof.” A hand grabs the end of the torch, fingers dipping into the flame to yank her forward. She squeaks involuntarily, trying not to let her fear seem so obvious when the light catches his face and she watches the last of the dragon sink into the golden scales covering the bridge of his nose. “I don’t think you want to burn that part away,” he says quietly, raising an eyebrow and puffing smoke from between his teeth, “do you?"
