The people doing that don't follow this blog, so they're probably just liking/reblogging the old mix because it gets recommended when you like the other posts.

But still, that would imply that these people are coming from the tags, where the new version should still be showing up, so I still don't get it ;w;

#i dunno #i know they don't mean it like that #but it is hurting my heart a little #to have the new version get overshadowed by the old one due to algorithm BS #i don't really note-chase per say #i'll rarely encourage y'all to reblog or otherwise engage with my posts #what's bothering me isn't that the new one isn't getting attention (it's been less than a day. i can't be that upset yet)#it's that the old one is #i'm almost tempted to private it just so it'll stop happening #but i think that's a little petty #even if the old one sucks compared to this one #the fact that people are still willing to engage with it just means they like it #which isn't a bad thing #i was proud of it at the time. i've just come a little further now #but it kinda hurts me when that happens #it's like i wanna cry out #'please I've done better than this! look at the better thing!'#but such as it is~#i'm sorry for the spam. this will hopefully be the last one. i'm just a little excited about getting this all done
