hello, reverie. i am truly sorry to bother you. i saw your reblog about your selfships, and i adore the concepts. if you would be so kind, i would like to ask if you have any recommendations for books or movies that would match the 'academia' vibe you provided, and of course, if you could give me some. thank you.
please forgive me if my english is unnatural and forced, for it is not my first language. 🐇
nonnie !! my lovely don’t ever apologize, you’re not bothering me at all !! :< i’m sorry i’ve let my asks pile up sm this week, i’ve seen a few others signed by you & i promise i will get to them soon (i’m honestly js cherishing them to myself rn hehe bcz i love getting fedya asks & you’ve indulged me sm 🥹; i promise i’ll release them soon !!)
but anyways THANK YOU SM FOR ASKING :’) i’m so in love w/ this ask omg. honestly i swear there’s something out there tht could fit our exact dynamic perfectly but i’ll have to do more searching (& reading; unfortunately school’s haven’t given me time to read things for fun these past couple of years :< but once i can balance out my classes this year i’ll def get into the habit again (˘ ˘ ˘) !!) js for you nonnie i’ll come back & reblog this post when i’ve found more in this genre i could relate to w/ updates ᰔ
& btw if anyone else thinks of anything tht could relate pls pls tell me, i’d totally check it out <3
but WHAT I HAVE SO FAR !! the secret history & if we were villains ofc; ik they’re so popular but the first is rly the blueprint for the ‘dark academia vibe’ imo 🥹. & let me talk abt the second…
if we were villains is abt a group of theatre kids who study about shakespeare. (LOL is this already typical of me?) they are all close friends (altho they acc all have complex feelings abt each other) but one tragic night results in a murder of one of them. the book is basically about how all of it came to be. there’s this one line that goes “do you blame shakespeare for any of it?” & the main character replies “i blame him for all of it.” i was rly inspired by how the theme of shakespeare was incorporated into the story & how it caused such tragedy (even though shakespeare wasn’t an actual character; even alive, etc.) therefore, i took inspiration from it to add to the fyozai academia universe, where our demise is ofc…the fyozai chess game tht asagiri also uses as a metaphor in bsd !! & it’s both literal & a theme — the three of us all literally play chess, & it’s also used as a metaphor for MY three-way manipulation mind game… 🙂‍↕️ hehe.
also i feel like fyodor is so henry winter from the secret history. but anyways ik these are only two, so i promise i’ll come back w/ more recs for you !! (esp since it’s almost autumn) they’re both supa similar — TSH is basically the same plot as IWWV except they study greek/latin instead of shakespeare, but i enjoyed both of them.
your english is perfect, btw. :)

hii a longg while back I had sent a long ask about how much I enjoyed the answer and had asked about what other cults/writing/media had inspired you when developing the storyline and its characters. In your response you had recommended a list of books that you enjoy/inspire you and I just wanted to share that I bought two of the books you recommended:) The Secret History by Donna Tartt and The Long Walk by Stephen King. It was so exciting and I thought of you as soon as I saw them at Barnes and Noble lol. It meant so much that you replied and recommended some great books because I really do enjoy your work and reading about how you come up with stuff when you write. This is so silly but I got so excited and wanted to tell you haha. You inspired me to start my book collection!! If you have any more recommendations please feel free to share if you would like🫶 I hope you have a great weekend!
OMG!!!!!!! im literally honored seriously this is so awesome !!! i really hope you enjoy the books and pls lmk what you think after you read them :] im actually touched for real thinking about you thinking about me hehehe <33 putting a read more before more recs !!! hehe
im gonna be so real with you i REMEMBER answering your ask and i remember giving some recs but i have scoured my blog (as well as i can w tumblrs shitty search mechanism) and i cannot find it to save my LIFEEEE so ill give some more recommendations but pls forgive me if i repeat a couple bc i cannot remember ... what i said ... LOLLL
so in no particular order here are some more books !! hehe
a canticle for liebowitz by walter miller jr (this book is from 1959 but its actually so funny and the vibes are immaculate)
the langoliers by stephen king (technically a novella but tell me why i have an urge to write an au like this LMAO)
giovanni's room by james baldwin (not like other books i recommend but very good)
chaos by tom o'neill (if you feel like learning about charles manson and the corruptness of the us government)
people who eat darkness by richard parry (if you feel like learning about a japanese serial rapist)
(this one is controversial but. we're adults.) a mother's reckoning by sue klebold (if you feel like learning about the columbine school shooting from one of the shooters' mothers' perspectives)
i probably recommended this BUT if you find yourself really liking stephen king (or even moderately liking him lol) i would. H I G H L Y highly recommend the dark tower series. it is amazing and incredible and i loved every second i spent reading it.
im gonna be so honest rn. i read the entire acotar series. do i think they're good books. no. but did i enjoy reading them and laughing at sarah j maas's writing style. yes. so [shrug].
and to finish i am currently reading dune (like everyone else) and its quite good along with a clash of kings which is. game of thrones. so. hard to read but fun.
but yeah !!!! thank you so much for thinking of me and taking my recommendations hehe it really means a lot !! like i said pls lmk what you think of the two that you got bc those are truly some of my favorite books ever :] <3

👉🏻👈🏻 bestie I love hearing about the writer’s process, so fun facts and such are so welcome. give me info for my lil gremlin brain, please! I did enjoy the tidbit :) very much so, and I love that clip as well so it’s very cool that you got to use it for inspo.
LOL OMG 'Penetration Was Occurring’ SENT ME! I know some fic writers lately have been using ‘p in v’ but I think ‘Penetration Occurs’ has potential, for sure.
and ty for loving my music taste 🫶🏻 and enjoying all my recs. I’m so honoured ;w; hozier is so good and such an inspiration for so many of my fics. his ‘unreal unearth’ album destroyed me when it released, I love him and his songs so dearly 💔
pleeease fangirl over me, this degree has to be validated in some way I am in DEBT. lol jk but yeah, getting to talk lit was something I really loved about completing my degree, and I don’t really have any friends that enjoy it now. my coworkers all read a lot so I get to chat with them, but I decline to mention the copious amounts of smutty fanfic I consume lol but booo to that professor, I’m so sorry they ruined it for you 😔 I’m sure the same would’ve happened to me if my prof for my introductory course wasn’t cool. I would be soo happy if you read my fics, but also hella embarrassed 🙈
I def will reach out because I want friends so badly but idk what to say to people 🥹 but I love our essays 🫶🏻 also I’m SORRY!! IDK ANYTHING ABOUT EXO!! ;w; song recs are welcome, idk. I tend to gravitate to kpop groups with members around my age though (00 liner life) but idk, anything can happen!! I’m scarily open to indoctrination
but thank you for being so sweet and loving my ramblings!! and I’m happy to keep supporting your works ^^ (your new theme is very cute btw, so aesthetically pleasing omgg) I adore you too, take care! kisses, mwah mwah uwu
-🪷 anonniiie
pls if your brain is a gremlin brain what does that make mine. perhaps that of a troll. an imp. a hobgoblin, even. we are in this together my baby lotus nonnie (also i SEE YOUR VISION. "Penetration Will Occur" will be making a comeback in the near future just you wait)
and YOU'RE honored that i enjoyed your music taste? have you seen your music taste? have you read back on your last ask and Processed what you did there? you literally carved my fic down to its very essence and transcribed the amorphous core into some of the most beautiful music i've ever heard. the honor is all mine, and i am NAWT arguing with you about this one, the fight is won, pack your bags.
and ABSOLUTELY YOU GOT IT, i am your biggest fan, you are so cool and your degree is so cool and never ever forget it. please come talk to me about literature whenever you want, i don't read as much as i used to but whenever i do i can ramble about it for as long as you'll let me lol. so just know you have another lit nerd in me. and i meant what i said about reading your fics! and i am very excited for it my star
by now you have reached out to me and i have continued to enjoy our conversations so incredibly much, so i would disagree with your self-evaluation that you never know what to say to people! i can feel your kindness and warmth through my screen and can confidently say you're my favorite type of person :') i also want to say once again how grateful i am that you trusted me with your identity. i love and appreciate you lots!!
thank you for the kind words as always, and for the support and for this ask and for liking my new theme!! absorbing and reflecting your kisses + thousands more in three...two...

clariiiii i watched true romance too!!! it was great like ughhh i just LOVE christian slater he’ll forever be my 90’s celeb crush. i noticed that the film had major tarantino vibes(esp in the character’s lines n the plot) and later found out he was actually the scriptwriter for this film so that was fun hehe but the cinematography and the 90’s mood r what rlly captivated me ahh i love love love the vibes from 8-90’s vintage films. overall it was great nd fresh, felt like watching a tarantino-style romance film (which turned out to be actually true but anyways) and that’s rare!!! great plot and dynamics too!
as a film enthusiast/major/filmmaker i have tons of stuff i wanna chat w/ you about eeek <33 but i kinda feel guilty cuz this is not a film blog yanno idk i cant explain it but i feel guilty?!?! but can i ask u if that’s okay? 🥺 do u have any other film recs(cuz both movies u recommended were amaazing)? do u have a fav genre? what’s ur fav film? do u have a fav director? ahhh im sorry i’m like spamming u wif questions i’m such a nerd BAHAHA -🐰

FIRST OF ALL alabama is like, one of my favourite characters ever like i cannot decide if i want to marry her or if i want to BE her. same with clarence—i just love their relationship so much like, it’s obv a lil unhealthy but gosh like you said THE DYNAMICS!!! and the colour palatte for that film is just ahhhhh so so so good, it inspired my current colour palette actually!! i was gonna do that teal blue n bright cherry red but i didn’t like the way the gradients were turning out :(( so i went with blue n purple instead ehehe
YES BUNNY BB YES YOU CAN ASK ME AS MANY FILM QUESTIONS AS YOU WANT!!!!!! we can chat about film any time, don’t feel guilty at all!! film and writing are tied as my two favourite things ever hahaha so any film questions/discussions are allowed on my blog <33
aaaaaah i have a thousand recs ehehe pls i’ll give you a never-ending list if u don’t give me something more specific/narrow it down a lil!! like what’re you looking for first? do you want american films or italian films or french films etc etc etc? is there a particular genre, era or film movement you’re interested in? waaahhhh look u got me getting all excited n stuff eeee i love love love recommending new films to people 🥺🥺 i love watching them with people too—idk if this is gonna sound weird but like, i love introducing my friends/family to new films that i’ve seen but they haven’t and just watching their reactions n stuff, it’s such a special thing to share with them and it’s almost like i get to experience it for the first time again ehehe.
oof you really have unlocked a MONSTER okay okay
do you have a fav genre?
yes!! i love love love horror films ahahaha but i’m also really into dramas/slice of life type stuff.

the royal tenenbaums - anderson
the rules of the game (french) - renoir
breathless (french) - godard
the hateful eight - tarantino

lost highway - lynch
the silence of the lambs - demme
a clockwork orange - kubrick
the shining - kubrick
kiki’s delivery service (japanese or english) - miyazaki
dunkirk - nolan
once upon a time in hollywood - tarantino (omg my boyfriend and i have decided if i were a tarantino character i’d literally be rick dalton lmaoooo)
no country for old men - coen brothers
burning (korean) - chang-dong
rebecca - hitchcock
rear window - hitchcock
halloween - carpenter
fargo - coen brothers
the empire strikes back <3333333 - kershner

so i did a reading challenge this year and i wanna talk about what i read
transcription under the cut
i did Popsugar 2019 and wanna talk about what i read:  Book Reccs and Anti-Reccs
1.) Becoming a Movie in 2019: Umbrella Academy (vol 1) by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba
4/5. A fascinating take on superpowers, dysfunctional families, and the apocalypse. Can get pretty gory, confusing here and there and you have to pay close attention to panels for lore, but overall an entertaining romp.
2.) Makes you Feel Nostalgic: Circles in the Stream by Rachel Roberts
4/5. Middle grade novel about the magic of music, belief, and of course, friendship. Definitely written for kids, and has some unfortunately clumsy Native rep, but overall an absolute joy to dive into once again.
3.) Written by a Musician: Umbrella Academy (vol 2) by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba
4/5. Ramps up the confusion to ridiculous degrees with some absolutely bonkers, unexplained arcs, but still fun to watch this dysfunctional family do its dysfunctional thing.
4.) You Think Should be Turned into a movie: All That Glitters by Rachel Roberts
4/5. Continuation of Circles in the Stream, but with more unicorns, more rainbows, and more fae, which makes it automatically even better than the first.
5.) With At Least 1 Mil. Ratings on Goodreads: 1984 by George Orwell
1/5. I understand why it's important and all but wasn't prepared for some of the more graphic scenes and the overall hopelessness of the message.  Would not recommend or read again.
6.) W/ a Plant in the title or cover: The secret of Dreadwillow carse by Brian farrey
5/5. A fantasy world where everyone is always happy, save for one girl and the princess, who set out to solve the mystery of their kingdom. Poignant and great for kids and adults.
7.) Reread of a favorite: Cry of the Wolf by Rachel Roberts
4/5. Yet another installment in the Avalon: Web of Magic series, which clearly I am obsessed with.  Please just read them.
8.) About a Hobby: Welcome to the Writer's Life by Paulette Perhach
5/5. A welcome kick in the pants, chock full of great advice told without condescension, and full of hope and inspiration for writers both new and old.
9.) Meant to read in 2018: The Poet x by Elizabeth Acevedo
4/5. Absolutely beautiful coming of age novel told in verse.  Do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook version.
10.) w/ "pop," "sugar," or "challenge" in the title: Black Sugar by Miguel Bonnefoy
2/5. I think maybe I just don't understand this genre.  Or maybe the translation was weird. I was confused.
11.) w/ An Item of Clothing or Accessory on the cover: Our dreams at Dusk by Yuhki Kamatani
4/5. It had a lot more slurs/homophobia than I was prepared for, but otherwise is a very touching, relatable collection of queer characters living in a heteronormative world.
12.) Inspired by Mythology or Folklore: Ravenous by MarcyKate Connolly
3/5. A girl goes on an impossible quest to save her brother from a child-eating witch. Really wanted to like it more because I loved the first one, Monstrous, but it dragged a little.
13.) Published Posthumously: The Islands of Chaldea by Diana Wynne Jones
3/5. I adore Diana Wynne Jones, but this one was missing some of the magic of her other books. Not sure if it was because it had to be finished by someone else, or if I just grew out of her stories.
14.) Set in Space: Binti by Nnedi Okorafor
4/5. Powerfully written story of a girl straddling tradition and innovation, who wields power through mathematical magic, surviving on a spaceship alone with a dangerous alien occupation after everyone else has been killed.
15.) By 2 Female Authors: Burn for Burn by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian
2/5. Ostensibly a story about a revenge pact in a small island town, but leaves far too many dangling threads to attempt alluring you to the sequel.
16.) W/ A Title containing "salty," "bitter," "Sweet," or "Spicy": The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith
3/5. It's okay but I literally just never know what anyone means at any time. Are they being reticent on purpose or do i just not understand communication
17.) Set in scandinavia: Vinland Saga by Makoto Yukimura
2/5. Technically and historically accurate and well made, but the story itself is not my cup of tea.  Very gory.
18.) Takes Place in a Single Day: Long WAy Down by Jason Reynolds
4/5. A boy goes to avenge his murdered brother, but ghostly passengers join him on the elevator ride down. Stunning and powerful character-driven analysis.
19.) Debut Novel: Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
4/5. Charming and then surprisingly heart-breaking comic about Nimona, a shapeshifter who wants to become a villain's minion. Really love the villain/hero dynamic going on in the background, along with the dysfunctional found family.
20.) Published in 2019: The Book of Pride by Mason Funk
4/5. A collection of interviews with the movers, shakers, and pioneers of the queer and LGBTQ+ community.  An absolutely essential work for community members and allies alike.
21.) Featuring an extinct/imaginary creature: Phoebe and her Unicorn by Dana Simpson
4/5. Incredibly charming, Calvin and Hobbes-esque collection of comics featuring the adventures of Phoebe and her unicorn best friend.
22.) Recced by a celebrity you admire: The Emerald Circus by Jane Yolen
2/5. Recced by my fave author Brandon Sanderson. An unfortunately disappointing anthology proving that any story can be made uninteresting by telling the wrong section of it.
23.) With "Love" in the Title: Book Love by Debbie Tung
4/5. One of those relatable webcomics, only this one I felt super hard almost the entire time.  Books are awesome and libraries rule.
24.) Featuring an amateur detective: Nancy Drew: Palace of Wisdom by Kelly Thompson
4/5. REALLY love this modern take on Nancy Drew, coming back home to her roots to solve a brand new mystery. Diverse cast and lovely artwork, though definitely more adult.
25.) About a family: Amulet by Kabu Kibuishi
4/5. Excellent, top tier graphic novel about a sister and brother who have to go rescue their mother with a mysterious magic stone. LOVE that the mom gets to be involved in the adventure for once.
26.) by an author from asia, Africa, or s. America: Girls' Last tour by Tsukumizu
4/5. Somehow both light-hearted and melancholy. Two girls travel about an empty, post-apocalyptic world, and muse about life and their next meal.
27.) w/ a Zodiac or astrology term in title: Drawing down the moon by margot adler
3/5. A good starting place for anyone interested in the Neo Pagan movement, but didn't really give me what I was personally looking for.
28.) you see someone reading in a tv show or movie: The Promised NEverland by Kaiu Shirai
4/5. I don't watch TV or movies where people read books so i think reading an adaptation of a TV series after watching the series counts. Anyway it was good but beware racist caricatures
29.) A retelling of a classic: Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy by Rey Terciero
5/5. We can stop the Little Women reboots and retellings now, this is the only one we need. In fact, we can toss out the original too, this is the only one necessary.
30.) w/ a question in the title: So I'm a spider, so what? by Asahiro Kakashi
4/5. Cute art despite the subject matter, and a surprisingly enthralling take on the isekai genre. Love the doubling down on the video game skills.
31.) Set in a college or university campus: Moonstruck (vol 2) by Grace Ellis
2/5. An incredibly cute, beautiful, and fascinating world of modern magic and creatures, but unfortunately falls apart at the plot and pacing.
32.) About someone with a superpower: Moonstruck (vol 1) by Grace Ellis
4/5. Though nearly as messy plot-wise as its sequel, the first volume is overwhelmingly charming in a way that overpowers the more confusing plot elements.
33.) told from multiple povs: The Long way to a Small, Angry Planet by becky Chambers
4/5. Told almost in a serial format, like watching a miniseries, a group of found-family spaceship crew members make the long journey to their biggest job ever.
34.) Includes a wedding: We Set the dark on fire by Tehlor kay mejia
4/5. Timely and poignant, a girl tumbles into both love and resistance after becoming one of two wives to one of the most powerful men in the country.
35.) by an author w/ alliterative name: The only harmless great Thing by brooke bolander
3/5. Much deeper than I can currently comprehend.  Beautifully written, but difficult to parse.
36.) A ghost story: Her body and other parties by Carmen Maria Machado
4/5.  It counts because one of the stories in it has ghosts. A sometimes difficult collection of surrealist, feminist, queer short stories.
37.) W/ a 2 word title: Good omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
4/5. Charming, touching, and comical, probably the best take on the apocalypse to date. Also excellent ruminations on religion and purpose.
38.) based on a true story: The faithful Spy by John Hendrix
4/5. Brilliantly crafted graphic biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and his assistance in fighting back against Nazi Germany.
39.) Revolving around a puzzle or game: the Crossover by Kwame alexander
4/5. The verse didn't always hit right with me, but the story is a sweet, melancholy one about family, loss, and moving on.
40.) previous popsugar prompt (animal in title): The last unicorn by peter s. Beagle
5/5. Absolutely one of my all-time favorite books, it manages to perfectly combine anachronism and comedy with lyricism, melancholy, and ethereal beauty.
41.) Cli-fi: Tokyo Mew Mew by Mia ikumi and Reiko Yoshida
4/5. Shut up it counts
42.) Choose-your-own-adventure: My Lady's choosing by Kitty curran
3/5. Cute in concept, a bit underwhelming in execution. Honestly, just play an otome.
43.) "Own Voices": Home by Nnedi Okorafor
3/5. The storytelling style was definitely not my style; while the first book was slow, too, it felt more purposeful. I found my attention wandering during this installment.
44.) During the season it's set in: Pumpkinheads by rainbow rowell
3/5. Cute art, but precious little substance.  The concept simply wasn't for me in the first place.
45.) LITRPG: My next life as a villainess: All routes lead to doom! by Hidaka nami
5/5. An absolute insta-fave! Charming art, endearing characters, an incredible premise, and so much sweet wholesome fluff it'll give you cavities.
46.) No chapters: The field guide to dumb birds of north america by matt kracht
3/5. It started out super strong, but the joke started to wear thin at a little past the halfway point.
47.) 2 books with the same title: Unfollow by Megan Phelps-Roger
4/5. A brave and enduring personal story of growing up in and eventually leaving the Westboro Baptist Church. Really called to me to act with grace and kindness even more in the future.
48.) 2 books with the same title: unfollow by rob williams and michael dowling
1/5. How many times do you think we can make Battle Royale again before someone notices
49.) That has inspired a common phrase or idiom: THe Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
4/5. Definitely good and deserves it's praise as something that pretty much revolutionized and created an entire demographic of literature.
50.) Set in an abbey, cloister, Monastery, convent, or vicarage: Murder at the vicarage by agatha christie
3/5. I just cannot. physically keep up with all of these characters or find the energy to read between the lines.
ok that's all i got, what did y'all read and like this year?  (oh god it’s gonna be 2020)

*SOBS* IM JUST SO GLAD YOURE BACK
Aw thank you !!!!! It’s really just thanks to the past couple of days of cooler weather tho, ngl hahaha the earth has been indulgent to me, this past week!
Anon said:I really liked that wgole bakushima gem thing! What would bakugou do if kirishima somehow got corrupted and couldnt reverse it? (Without the other diamonds)
Thank you for liking it!!!! And I guess he’d just go ask the other diamonds? Well, he would never let it get to that, but if it were the only option it’s not like he’d leave Kiri like that!
Anon said:Quick, someone put a flashlight on diamond!Kiri
He’d be shinier than Aoyama and Hagakure using her special move put together !!!!!!! v pretty~
Anon said:your kiribaku gem AU inspired me so much that i’m finally watching steven universe just so i can understand it better because what i did understand was that i loved it
OH MAN I hope you’ll enjoy it!!!! It’s a bit silly and all over the place through the first season, but try to give it time !!
Anon said:Hi! I went and checked out your fan art for Kuroko no Basket and I absolutely adore AoKaga! Your AoKaga works make me so happy! I love them all!
Ohhhhh man thank you so much !!!!!!!!!! it’s super old stuff tho how did you even find it hhhhh haha
Anon said:Hello hello! here w bad news a instagram page posted your art and i know you dont like repost so im informing you. The page is kags.fujoshi and it was posted july 23
Yeh I know, I’ve been trying to report it and the other one I’ve been being told about but instagram won’t let me submit the thing so I guess this is how things are and I’ll just die mad about it since instagram likes to make things as hard and impossible to me as it can
Anon said:Bless your art
Thank you ;;;;;
Anon said:Omg literally your kiribaku Steven universe crossover is so fucking perfect thank you for blessing us with it; I’d love to see more if you have anything or feel like ever doing more about it but I don’t want to pressure you or anything, do what you want to do and what makes you happy :) Take care!
Ahhhhhh thank you so much!!!!! I’m super glad you liked it this much!!!!!!!
Anon said:✨Gentle reminder to take care of yourself today ✨
You too, anon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anon said:Everytime I see you upload new art I end up looking through and loving your entire BNHA Art tag. It’s so wonderful
gAH thank you so SO much!!!!!!!!!! don’t waste so much time on my blog, tho hahaha
Anon said:heya! I was just wondering if u had any short bakukiri one-shot fic recommendations. i prefer to read short things bc i have some learning difficulties and i was hoping u might know some good simple reads. Thanks! (
Aw man sorry but I really don’t have the time to make a rec list rn ;; if you’re fine with it this is the tag on AO3 filtered so that it shows only complete content with a max word count of 5000 starting from the one with most kudos going down, the first ones showing are all super good fics - in case you’re not okay with explicit content you can filter that too (if youre not okay with mature either just check that out as well) and to go further this is the tag excluding the fics tagged as tddk  cause that’s not what you’re looking for and the tddk and krbk fandom sure like to put each other in the listed relationships even if the fic isn’t about them (it excludes some krbk fics too but what can we do about that)
Anon said:ASDFGHKRNOFNE your last doodle killed me!!!! soft todoroki
AHHHHH I’m super glad you liked them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;;;
Anon said:I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of your art, you beautiful gift you
Thank you smmmmm ;;;
Anon said:I am taking the SU story down for now. Please, let me know if I have your permission to post it, or if you don’t want me to. // And just to clarify - I’m not deleting the story out of spite or anything. I wrote it as a “get-well-soon” gift, but since you make it very clear you want to know how your art is used and that you must give your approval, I began to fear it would become a source of annoyance to you rather than something nice. I can put it back up if you want me to.
I don’t mind you writing the story or posting it, so if you wanna upload it again go for it! For future reference tho, if you’re in a rush to get an answer out of me (referring to the message where you asked if it was okay) your best bet is to go off-anon since those I always answer privately and as soon as I can. It can take me up to over a week to answer anon asks here, which I’d guess is sort of obvious? so seriously next time you’re in a rush to get an answer it’s better if you don’t go through the anon option!!
Anon said:HI I LOVE YOUR ART IT’S GORGEOUS AHHHHHHH
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Anon said:How long does it take t draw one artwork for you?
Some things ten minutes, some things three days of work, it really depends on what I’m drawing? If it’s bw or colored, if it has a bg, if it’s a bust or a full body, if it’s one person or five, one drawing or a full comic, how used I am to drawing the character vs how new it is, how easy the clothes are and how many details there are on them - if you sent me an example I could specifically tell you how long it took me!
Anon said:is bakugo ticklish? what do u think?
Bakugou is ticklish but the immediate aftermath of tickling Bakugou is to be blasted into kingdom come so maybe better not to tickle him unless you’re Kiri and can protect yourself
Anon said:Bakukirikami is some good stuff my dude
It sure as heck is! Lately my old stuff for them is getting a bunch of new notes, I’m assuming people are getting into it thanks to the anime haha the magic of the license exam my doods
Anon said:hey I hope I don’t sound creepy but, I just want to say that your art really makes me happy and that you’re one of my favorite artist out there. So even if somtimes you feel like your art sucks I want you to know that I think it’s beautiful! Hope you’re doing well!
You don’t sound creepy at all!!!!! thank you SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anon said:Q U O R K

GOD ITS ABOUT FUCKIN TIME I CLEAR THE DOCKETT
hey everyone how yall been doin lol, been sittin on a lot of these nice messages for a while now
Tumblr media
it’s okay take your time
anonymous asked:
I've never had any interest in Star Trek or (sci-fi in general tbh) and I figured I'd probably never watch it but like... Ur undertrek au... It's filling me with Temptation. Also I love love love how you portray Chara. Or well I love how you portray literally everyone tbh you're just amazing holy shit?? I hope you have a nice day
undertrek is such a self indulgent thing and i would absolutely LOSE it if someone started watching ST because of it. i mean let’s be clear here, the original show is such a vastly different beast than the following series’ (TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, STD) and im primarily a fan of ToS--though when i started drawing undertrek, i hadnt seen the original series? in retrospect i’d like to go back and change some of the toning, to leave behind the more grounded feel of the post TNG-verse, and do more of the romanticism of ToS
god what a choice fuckin ask, thank you for submittin this
anonymous asked:
Would chara ever actually admit that they actually real love sans and sees him as family?
they see him ...... as a real pain in the ass
anonymous asked:
God I love how smug charas and sans relationship is
they’re the actual best
anonymous asked:
I see charas and sans relationship like rons and aprils in parks and recreation
ron from aprks and rec: rat piss
grabnok-destra asked:
Are Chara and Asriel ever happy? :( I want them to be happy.
i’d say they’re happy a lot, actually
anonymous asked:
I would fight your chara in a darkened alleyway
god you’d fucking win
Anonymous said:
While chara is possessing frisks body where does frisk go?
spectral chuck. e. cheese ball pit
Anonymous said:
You are the squat lord, lord of those who squat
i am no lord. i am only a simple jock. i pump iron like everyone else, one arm at a time, at the same time
Anonymous said:
I'm so split against either having sans and chara get along because they are super similar or them hating each other because the "fuck that stupid ass skeleton" and "haha fuck u too :)))" trope is my favorite
you dont gotta be split . it can be both. you can have it all. we can all have it all
Anonymous said:
I've probably said this a thousand times in my tags but I just??? Love your style so much it brings a smile to my face every time I see it, the way each character looks is just absolutely fantastic and floors me every time, not to mention your oc's are so much fun to look at and I love them? And your humor is always so on point.... thank you so much for sharing ur art with us

love your awesome art by the way, alphys, sans is spying on you and gathering science information. trust me.
he’s stealing all your really good kissy cutie headcanons & posting them as if they were his own, the unforgivable bastard
Anonymous said:
God I love your chara they are so true to character it's scary
i was gonna make some kind of stupid joke to deflect how genuinely happy i get when people call my chara writing in character, but i’ve spent an embarrassing amount of time researching different veins of meta & also reading a ton of childhood psychology books, and there’s no amount of deflection that can erase that bizarre aspect of myself
Anonymous said:
I want your chara to brawl with a random pedestrian
good news there’s a guy in an alley that just fucking killed them
Anonymous said:
I always thought your username was squad-lord
what’s a squad to a lord?
Anonymous said:
I really adore your character designs dude. You use strong basic shapes in a way I don't see artists do a whole lot and their personalities (and the way you characterize them in your comics) just comes across so well, I'm a big fan of all of it.
im really glad ! it’s all a learning process and im really tryin to do what i can to have fun, and make (hopefully) good stuff
Anonymous said:
I will always see chara as a lovable shit head till the day I'm lowered in my grave
sans: why have you killed everyone
chara: im just quirky like that
Anonymous said:
Asriel!!! Is!!! A!!!! Good!!! Boy!!!!!
HEY HE’S A GOOD BOY ! I LOVE THAT GOOD GOAT BOY

Anonymous said:
Lord your depiction of Alphys is the absolute greatest no one else captures her quite as well
she’s really fun ! i feel like she’s the one ive improved the most on as far as her visual appeal, my stylization on her face wasnt ... like ... super great for a while there. im really happy with the general look ive got for her, though. she’s also super fun to draw as a ferengi too lmao
grabnok-destra said:
I actually would like to see Adult Frisk again. Maybe harassing Chara and Asriel by making them join family bonding time/doing healthy exercises or some shit. I dunno, you've always drawn Adult Frisk like they're a huge ball of positive energy and I'd like to see more of it.
it’s been awhile since i’ve drawn adult frisk, i just didnt realize that people care all that much ? tbh i dont really care all too much for them ... i like the design and all, but i just think kid frisk is a lot funnier, and i have more fun drawin their amorphous kind of shape anyways.
im generally pretty insecure about what people think about how undefined all my art decisions are anyways, and adult frisk i always kind of assumed people thought was ... shitty ? maybe a bit too self indulgent ? i dont know. i should draw em again. they got great hair
Anonymous said:
You're a legend, you know that right?
did this ask get sent before or after i tweeted about sans suckin toes
Anonymous said:
I LOVE your Asriel, he is a good boy but also a bit snarky and has some flowey traits still, I love him
asriel as i like to write him is an asriel who wants to believe it was the flower thing that made him such a shit head, but he was always kind of a shit head, the flowey thing just sort of aggregated it
Anonymous said:
sans + blue belly
hey
Anonymous said:
I love how you draw sans as a shoe with a face
please do not ever email me pictures of your shoes because they sound horrifying
Anonymous said:
Can we see more flowey? I missed the edgy piss child
honest to god you are so right . why dont i ever draw him ? he’s literally perfect? he literally did nothing wrong, ever?
Anonymous said:
JESUS SQAUT.,,...every time you post a bunch of happy stuff I know it's a build up to some sads and I'm still never prepared when you post it
it’s like a mob psycho counter w/ posts about horny sans until i post a picture of chara’s horrible corpse bleeding out on the ground
@luptaccos said:
Toriel wearing a Snail! Heaven! Now! shirt is the most genius and in-character thing I've ever seen, congratulations I love you
i think probably toriel listens to a LOT of podcasts, and references them constantly.
Anonymous said:
I love the way you portray undertale characters tbh- you're really good at giving them a lot of personality in a simple looking style! Not to mention your take on them in general being A+ :D You've been one of my favorite fanartists since the fandom was young, and even though I'm not particularly active in it anymore myself, I still really enjoy the things you draw!
it’s gonna be like 5 years from now and im still going be drawin flowey sayin “piss” & i really am not going to have a good explanation for anyone for why its like this
thank u tho im glad you like it <3
@hadjiiembercolgatenerdmctillhawk said:
i accidentally misspelled your name as squadlord, is that okay
god there are so many missed connections goin on in my ask box its wild
also hell yah . i think im just essentially squadlord by proxy at this point anyways
Anonymous said:
In loving that spooky eye on the left
i took too long to respond to this so now i dont know what this was in reference to, so now im just, stuck with this eye mystery . eye just dont know what theyre talkin about
@maple-maypole said:
Aahh, your art is awesome. Please don't let that just slide, I mean it. You have one of the most unique and easily recognizable artstyles I've seen in the few years I've spent in The Webz(tm), so alive and stylized but also so grounded and sharp. Your lines are amongst the best I've ever had the joy to look at, they are without a doubt my favorite thing about your art, only coming close those simple and yet so great characters designs and shapes. I could go on and on. Thanks, really. Ur cool.
oh thank you so much !! one of the greatest pleasures ive had in my art up until this point is improving on my linework, and it always means a lot when people say they like it ! it’s so hard being an artist because i always want to draw in the style of other artists, so its always good to know that others like this weirdass style ive got lmao
Anonymous said:
Pom Farr Chara
ch... chara horny ....
actually i cant be all that sarcastic about it b/c star trek really DID just have it be a thing where vulcans gotta fuck or they die, like that’s a goddamn universal fact. chara is technically vulcan so i guess they also gotta fuck or theyll die
god undertrek is such a fucking good au
Anonymous said:
What's the kids favorite music??
chara: bad youtube edits of the hotel mario theme
asriel: paramore, paramore adjacent
frisk: also the hotel mario theme
Anonymous said:
Your glutes must be hella toned o lord of squats
i had pretty major knee surgery over the summer so a lot of my leg muscles atrophied pretty badly, actually :(
i’ve been pretty bummed about that. i’m able to walk now, but the strength still isn’t quite there. i’m at the point where i can get back into weightlifting, though, so i just need to actually sit down & write down my fitness plan for the week.
i’ll be honest the name squatlord is partially ironic but i’m not kidding about how good, important, and helpful squatting is as an exercise. it really targets those major leg muscles that are vital for just about any physical activity we engage in as humans -- and since my goals are primarily strength training & some amount of bulking, it’s pretty important to have squatting as a major aspect of that training. it’s just been months at this point, though, and getting back into a regular exercise routine is always difficult. it took years for me to even have a schedule at all. totally worth it tho, i fuckin adore bein a full time jock lol
also “squat” is a god damn hilarious word and my domain IS this fuckin leg flexin, i was lyin before, i am absolutely the lord of this horrible sweaty realm, i fucking own these legs & i fucking own these squats
Anonymous said:
I love you're Azzy so much no matter how you draw him
i love him too i always feel so guilty im drawin him in a way people dont like lol ... i just want everyone to love my beautiful goat son, and his beautiful longface

Toronto pop duo Featurette have new music to share with the release of Don’t Know Me Without You. The musical team of Lexie Jay and Jon Fedorsen’s new single is the follow-up to this spring’s release of Million Things, but in their own admission, it’s different and darker.
We caught up with Featurette for a Q&A to talk about their new song and what’s coming up for them. And while we had them, we played a round of 5 Quick Questions as well. Check out the two-part Q&A now to learn about Don’t Know Me Without You, upcoming tour dates, more new music, who they love to listen to, dream vacation plans and more!
And stay tuned, because we have a feeling you’re going to hear a lot more from Featurette on the pop music scene in the future.
Don’t Know Me Without You Q&A with Featurette
LJ = Lexie Jay // LF = Jon Fedorsen
Q. What do you love about Don’t Know Me Without You as a song?
LJ. We love that we get to share a different side of us but still have it live in a pop world. It’s WAY darker than our last single Million Things and shows a bit more of the breadth we’ve got going on in our upcoming album. It’s dark and twisty and still packs a real punch in the chorus.
Q. If we asked you to describe the track in 5 words or less, what would you say?
LJ. Edgy, brooding electro-pop, with teeth. JF. Dark-Pop with a banging chorus. – this is so hard. Please accept our hyphenated-apologies! Haha!
Q. For you, what is the most exciting part of releasing new music?
LJ. Reconnecting with our fans and giving them a taste of what we’re working toward! This time around it was very nerve-racking because our last single, Million Things, was VERY upbeat. Although the lyrics were still our signature dark vibe, we wrapped them up in cotton candy to make people feel like it was a happy song, to make it easier to swallow. This song is pretty much the opposite of that, fully plunging into the darkness and exploring the depths of our moodier music. We’re super excited that people seem to be embracing their dark side in the track!
Q. We know you’ve got some tour dates coming up, what can you tell us about where you’ll be and when?
LJ. Absolutely! We’re finalizing details like opening acts and such, but here’s what we’ve got for October:
Oct 2nd – Mill’s Hardware – Hamilton w/ For Esmé Oct 3rd – Gordon Best – Peterborough w/ Peachykine & For Esmé Oct 4th – Driving Bell – Montreal w/ Nōva & For Esmé Oct 11th – Guest Appearance at a mystery show in Toronto – Stay Tuned! Oct 18th – The Rec Room – Toronto w/ Joan Smith, Hot Lips & Courage My Love and more to come!
Q. Sometimes it can be hard for artists to tell us about all the things they’ve got coming soon – but what can you share with us about what you’ve got on the way?
LJ. First up we’ve got a video in the bag for Don’t Know Me Without You which we’re SUPER excited to release – it’s directed by Ian Macmillan and it’s a badass motorcycle car chase with a twist. I’m on a rooftop parkade overlooking downtown Toronto, and I get to drive a Porsche and a motorcycle, I mean come on! Our last video for Million Things was directed by Ian as well so if you’ve seen that one, you know it’s going to be something special. We’re also going to be on a fall tour with Toronto act For Esmé in early October, followed by a hometown show with Courage My Love, Hot Lips and Joan Smith at The Rec Room, which is supporting breast cancer awareness through Rethink Breast Cancer. It’s going to be a fantastic night. After that we’ve got another single ready to go, and then we’re releasing our sophomore album in Jan 2020 – HECK YES ready to rock!!
We also got to play a round of 5 Quick Questions with Featurette. Hit play and listen to Don’t Know Me Without You now and check that out!
youtube
5 Quick Questions with Featurette
Q1. If you’re on a long drive or a road trip, what is the one album that you can put on and listen to all the way through without skipping any songs?
JF. Three by Phantogram – literally just did that the other day driving in Vancouver to a music festival. It’s an absolute work of art.
Q2. Do you have a dream collaboration partner that’s at the top of your wish list?
LJ & JF. See above, LOL! Also, Canadian lovelies Dear Rouge (going to make that happen one of these days)! On the flip side, someone like Harley Streten (Flume) could be completely amazing too and really bring our already glitchy sounds to the next level.
Q3. Is there a venue that you haven’t played yet that is at the top of your career to do list?
JF. Would love to play Danforth Music Hall someday, that would be huge for us. We just saw Chvrches and Dear Rouge play there this year – great venue.
Q4. If you took two weeks off, no music work, do you have a dream vacation you want to take?
LJ. YES! Picture this: New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan… and just eat myself to death.
Q5. Which artist, making any kind of music, do you think people should be paying more attention to?
LJ & JF. If you haven’t checked out Little Destroyer from Vancouver, we’re super into them right now. Also, on that playlist inside our brains: Kill J and Petite Bisquit. Consider this the direction we may well be taking some of our new music in the not-so-distant future, we’re totally inspired by them.
Big thanks to Lexie and Jon! Check them out online and keep up with what they’ve got coming up.
