I like to think that at least once, the Avatar cycle seemed to skip the Water Tribe—like people knew it was the water tribe’s turn, everyone was looking for them, the tests are done on all the kids, but like 60-80 years go by and no avatar until some Earth Kingdom kid shows up. People wonder if the cycle skipped a generation or what, but nothing serious was going on at that time so they shrug and move on.
It’s only many many years later that someone is researching Swampbender oral history and someone tells the story of “Ol Stinky Jess, she was a funny one, could light the swamp on fire an’ all sorts o’ shenanigans! Best catfishgator catcher in the tribe, she was” and thats literally it, she just lived a totally chill life in the swamp and nobody knew what an avatar was at the time so they just rolled with that funny gal’s odd bending ways.

For all Cody is the ultimate big brother and Obi-Wan is the single mother they just. don't actually want kids. Of course Cody loves kids, they're the best. Of course Obi-Wan loves kids, they're the best. But neither of them really wish to be a parent.
Oh, Obi-Wan has more Padawans after Anakin. Oh, Cody babysits all the little nieces and nephews and little younglings in the creche. Cody absolutely aces being the step-dad to Anakin and Ahsoka. Obi-Wan absolutely aces in mentoring all the little clones.
But at the end of the day, after they have hugged, kissed, carried, rocked, comforted and loved all the kids around them, they very much enjoy going to sleep in their quiet room where they know they will not be needed until the next day.

I’m going to be real, that new Zelda game looks awful. I really hope I’m proven wrong, but the fact that the “combat” is… like that… it just doesn’t look fun.

popping in randomly after almost an entire month just to talk non stop about the tsaritsa again everyone sit down.
specifically just thinking about the implications of tsaritsa's ideals originally being about love + the abandonment of those ideals to complete her goal of, presumably, destroying Celestia or whatever she's cooking up. to the point even her people don't love her and I probably don't even remember a time her ideals were of love. now it's all just ice and snow and cold.
which makes romantic fics w her even funnier because she's purposely removed this part of herself and suddenly reader walks into teyvat like they own the place (they do) and I can only imagine her reaction. angry, probably. because why you? what are you doing to her that's caused her hundreds of years of strict adherence to rejecting "love" both from others and to others to just. collapse. absolute shattering of her world and you probably don't even know it bc if nothing else she's good at hiding it. a lot of denial. tries to pick you apart and see what's makes you so different.
and oh she just hates it. she loathes it.
basically one sided enemies to lover trope because she can't stand you for a while but if you stick around she starts warming up to you and it makes it WORSE. so much worse. tries to distance herself but your just everywhere and it gets on her nerves because why does she love you? she isn't capable of love, not anymore. she thought she was.
g-d forbid one of the harbingers or PIERRO notices she'd never live it down. might even consider the implications of just killing you (she doesnt). worse if you know about it and act like a brat she will lose her damn mind
just the tsaritsa being an absolutely horrible mess internally.

When Siffrin first asks Loop why they’re helping him, their response seems uninteresting at first. “Because I think you should be helped. I won't always have the answers, but I think having someone on your side to talk to is better than dealing with this alone.” Well, of course. The guide is helping you because they want to, and obviously it’s important to have someone not looping to talk to or else you’d go crazy.
But once you learn more about who Loop is… once you learn that they have this deep revulsion and bitterness and resentment eating away at their heart, that they’re so upset that Siffrin has unintentionally replaced them and stolen away everything they had that they tried to kill him. They knew that killing them wouldn’t bring their friends back, their place in their party back, but they wanted so desperately the satisfaction of taking everything that Siffrin stole from them, away from them too. To make them even. They needed that catharsis so desperately, to break him down, to bring them back to the desperation and hopelessness that Loop felt in that moment. Their role was up. The curtains had fell. They had no reason to be there anymore. They needed Siffrin to feel the same way that they did, for them to be one again. “You’re me, so why can’t you feel this pain too? We should both drown, I should drag you under, take your helping hand and pull you into my coffin, let’s be buried together.”
But at the same time, they weren’t lying, when they said that. They do truly and wholly think Siffrin should be helped. That he deserved to be helped. And they pushed themselves so hard to help them in every single way that they could. They told him that he could confide in his friends, in the very beginning. They say “Don’t make the same mistakes that I did.” when teaching them to zone out. They desperately plea and beg and make a mess of themselves trying to prevent them from killing themselves with the dagger. They tell him to help his friends, advise him on how to escape the loops, creates their own theories to propose to him while he’s gone, even listens when Siffrin explains his plan to talk to the King, despite thinking it was a horrible idea. They remind him of his parties names, when in a moment of panic and hopelessness, he looses it. They talk them through the panic, calm them down, remind them to breathe.
Loop cannot stand looking at the party. It hurts too much, to see these ghosts of the family that they loved, the family that they doomed. They say they cannot possibly see them, cannot let them see them. No matter what. It’s impossible for them. Despite that, when Siffrin goes off the rails in Act 5, breaks, they find them. They look at them. They tell the party what Siffrin is going through, they guide them through the whole House, give them everything they need to succeed. They devote themselves so truly to help, to their own detriment, because they want Siffrin to escape so desperately.
Siffrin says it himself. He could not have escaped without Loop. He would have resorted to something similar if he didn’t have them. He would have been doomed, without them. Without the loops in general? If he never made that wish? If his party split up? I truly think he might have killed himself then, too. The only way that Siffrin survives is by standing on the corpse of himself. Loop was always doomed to be the only reason why Siffrin was blessed. And even yet, Loop still truly believes that he deserves to be helped, genuinely wants to help him to be free.

Sanemi hates drinking, and yet he finds himself seated in the local rowdy Izakaya facing you as you throw back another glass of sake.
He thinks Uzui is getting you drunk on purpose, leaning over to fill your empty cup as you give him the cutest smile. A smile that Sanemi wishes he could steal from him as he hunches over his still full cup, scrunching his nose in irritation.
“I don’t know why you joined to be miserable.”
The words ring out, but he’s not miserable— not even close. Not when he’s watching you giggle beside a just as drunk Mitsuri as she takes your hand in her own; eyes flitting across the table with no subtlety whatsoever as she gives Obanai a fleeting look. Sanemi almost rolls his eyes as he looks at the man who also hasn’t touched his drink, the poor lovesick fool tagging along because he knew Mitsuri would be here.
But isn’t that why Sanemi is here too? Because he knew you would be here.
And he grumbles and complains when he watches you stand to leave, cursing beneath his breath when he notices just how drunk you are. Immediately raising to his feet to stop you falling face first into the table as he clings to your upper arms, hoping you can’t see how pink his cheeks are beneath the flickering candlelight.
He’s still complaining when he bends his knees just enough to help you cling onto his shoulders, lifting you up with ease. The years of training to become a Hashira now useful as he holds you as though you weigh nothing— calloused palms holding onto the bottom of your bare thighs as Sanemi tries to ignore the way your uniform skirt has practically bunched around your waist. You wrap your arms around his broad shoulders as you press your cheek to his, your glossy lips grazing his ear every time you turn to speak to him. Churning out the most nonsense, Sanemi reckons, although he by no means wants you to stop. He’d listen to you talk about anything.
The streets are quiet as he gives you a piggy bag ride through them, walking towards your home as he has to curse beneath his breath when he almost drops you when you see a cat— tightening his grip on your thighs as you forget to hold onto him and reach out for it. Bending his waist to keep you flush against him as you scramble to cling onto his haori, squealing as though you’re about to fall.
But Sanemi would never let you fall, he’d always be there to catch you.

tsuna is the patron saint of the mundane, of the normal and common place, of the average and unimpressive. he's the unshakable believer of that being enough in and of itself, of that being fulfilling and fundamental to achieve happiness. and he's the unyielding protector and defender of the beauty and love and kindness within the ordinary, of the holy and divine and sacred within it, and of them being worth fighting for.
tsuna's the guy who makes the ordinary extraordinary from the sheer way he holds it so very close to his heart like it's the most precious thing in the world, and it's the thing about him i, for one, love him most for
