i Do need to be taken out back and shot because i default to thinking about a nonexistent spottedleaf pmv while listening to https://underscores.bandcamp.com/track/johnny-johnny-johnny (tw: csa, grooming)
#i just think spottedleaf should have been allowed to do a knife murder and i have strong feelings about this Just Cuz and not due to any#real life experiences#sidebar i dunno why spottedleafs heart is so very hated in wc fan circles bc i think it started pretty alright and fumbled the end which is#pretty typical for the erins. there were actually decently done aspects of a grooming relationship at the start that pivoted#to 'well the real issue is he goes to the gym in hell'#to be fair i have not deeply examined these complaints bc. i do not want to. but it seems like they are not complaining about the poorly#done grooming narrative but rather that there was a grooming narrative at all#idk im griping about a vague annoyance and not a well thought out and researched position please do not @ me

I guess my point is: why are you telling me? I'm not truly deeply offended or anything (apology accepted). It's that this is more like...a phenomenon I want people to examine when they do it. bc yeah in most cases telling someone you didn't bother to read something is rude. I've never seen any context where it wasn't rude, even if it was only jokingly. That's why "tl;dr" summaries were invented. So that you could quickly gain the highlights if a text was dense online. Which is what I did!
I do try to ignore how many people tag basically this same comment in the tags since that's often meant to be like...self-address notes, but since you replied directly on the text post, I responded, lol.
It's not even you the individual per se, it's moreso that every time I have an ADHD related post get over 100 notes, it gets filled with comments like:
I didn't read any of that
[insert comments about how that's neurotypical behavior here]
My brain can't handle that lol
I'm incapable of doing [the thing]
[rant based on what they think was said rather than what was actually said]
[Comment implying their ADHD is so bad that honestly if I were to take it seriously, they should have a court appointed guardian.]
It just gets tiresome when it's a comment you get from several thousand people over and over and so much of it implies like...learned helplessness. A couple ppl in the comments also said basically they couldn't read this, and I was like "hey you can buy the audio book or have a friend read it to you, or read through it and help you."
I get that I didn't fully transcribe alt text and instead summarized the photos, which would be a fair criticism, but that hasn't been anyone's complaint when they tell me they don't bother reading.
Just reading the bold text first is a fine reading tactic btw! That's why it's bolded - to emphasize the important parts. Lots of nonfiction books can be read by reading the bold and then only looking for more in the paragraph or in the "text call outs" as you want more details about something. But telling someone "girl I could only read the words in bold" is like...that's what is rude bc it's dismissive? Haha.
From the book Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD:
Putting a coat on the back of a chair by the door is fine, but if you prefer, use coat hooks and a large catch-all basket for dropping keys, hats, gloves.
Small bookcase end-table next to the couch to store craft projects, books, and other things being worked on for easy access.
Add a storage unit near the dining room table to transition between eating and working there.
Daily toiletry items should be stored in a basket that you can move easily
Extra toiletries and medicine cabinet items go in open shelf/basket storage so they can be seen and used easily. If items no longer fit, purge the excess. Don’t obscure the view!
If you disrobe in the bathroom, place a tall hamper in there.
Keep a set of cleaning supplies in each bathroom
