if the movie industry wasn't a bunch of COWARDS, then instead of making grimdark wizard of oz remakes, wicked, etc, they would make the marvelous land of oz as a trans allegory (that's the one about a ozma, who was "hidden away as a boy," becoming her true self, aka a fairy princess). and THEN they could make a good ozma of oz movie (which is what that terrifying sequel with the wheelers was based on) where dorothy shows up & she and ozma become girlfriends. but they won't. because they're weak
