So Never Again. Just saw this post and the way she looks up at him there is on a level with Mulder’s famous Fallen Angel eyes and his reaction to her? He doesn't melt? He chooses violence and being a dick? Please tell me why.

i LOVE this question because it is so easy to see it from scully's perspective. it's her episode. but you really have to think about mulder's perspective.

for mulder, this seems out of nowhere, and in his mind she was extremely inattentive with his informant on a case he's taking seriously. he doesn't understand what she's really asking or what the problem is, and a big part of that is she doesn't exactly either. it's almost like she's blaming him for the stand still in her life, but at the same time wants to be seen & appreciated (in a way that she understands, can feel, can see). and i don't think she could have figured it out the way she needed to with mulder. she needed the safety of talking to a stranger, someone inconsequential to her life. (like there's no way she could have that "other fathers" conversation with him lol) so ed jerse is the one to give her that. (she does with ed what she can't yet do with mulder. something neither of them are ready for and she isn't brave enough to do yet. and like. idk i just think she needed this! regardless of mulder lol)

like: "this isn't about you. or maybe it is, indirectly. i don't know." the one thing she got right is "i don't know" lol so of course mulder is confused!!

if you place leonard betts first, she's contemplating what she's leaving behind. has she had any impact working on the x files? on mulder? who is going to remember her? what evidence of her life will be left? in that office...it looks like she's had very little effect. (but i do not subscribe to this one.)

if never again is first, which i like better lollll (it makes more sense to me. i understand why people like lb first, it's more clear cut. it puts a reason behind her behavior. but i just don't think it quite fits. scully literally doesn't know what's wrong. if she was already worried about cancer, i think it would come across differently. but she's frustrated & confused and she wants for something she can't admit, express, pinpoint, articulate? idk what word i'm looking for lol) scully's just hit that point in her pattern again, her cycle...it took her four years, and after some rough cases (paper hearts – she couldn't help mulder despite how she tried, el mundo gira – a dead end. and idk, so many of their cases. and she's always wrong, he always does the crazy thing, he's always hurt)...well anyway, at the end he's still asking "all because i didn't get you a desk?" he still isn't quite understanding, until she says it's her life and he almost says "yes but it's become mine." he doesn't say it, they sit in silence, and in leonard betts, he tells her she did a good job & should be proud. all his little jokes like he's trying to make her laugh, to get back to their usual banter. because he wants to make her smile. so he understood at least a little by leonard betts. but they also come to a silent understanding. i just love the way kae talks about it. and i think the end is kind of the explanation for the beginning. the end is the real answer to the whole episode, and what it took to get there...and this post here, kae just understands him and talks about him in a way that i feel. it's exactly what i see in a way i could never articulate. (and she does my favorite thing!!! connects different moments. the characterization is so good.) and she has such a special insight to both of them, different patterns, but to me two sides of the same coin.

and so, either way, at the beginning of never again, he's completely thrown because he doesn't know. this is when their bad verbal communication and personal issues/insecurities/fears take hold. they're both so good at taking too much responsibility.

we're seeing into scully's mind a bit, but we aren't really seeing into his. but he's afraid, he doesn't want her to leave (something he's feared for a long time), he thinks space is the answer to whatever's going on. but he's also kinda needy and he can't just say that. so he calls her and they misunderstand each other again and she makes a date. he isn't trying to be an ass but he's scared & defensive, and he gets like that when she makes him nervous. like whenever she believes (beyond the sea, revelations, all souls, en ami). it feels like that to me. he's afraid, but this time he thinks he's the problem, their work is the problem. and he kinda said the worst thing he could say to her at that moment. "you were just assigned" — he has no idea how she understood that, how it hurts her. (and she's not thinking about how he means it, what he thinks/feels/fears.) and really, it's because she sucks at just saying the thing as much as he does. it takes them a long time to work out their direct communication. their unspoken communication, the way they work on their cases doesn't translate to their personal relationship. as intimate as their partnership is, working through their own issues takes time and it's those things that hinder them moving forward for so long. ya know?

i think @randomfoggytiger talks about it beautifully here — in depth essay on never again. here they touch on mulder's fear/walls & scully's insecurities/needs. it's a journey!! which they talk about here. and i forget what this one was (lol) but i'm sure i saved it for a reason: a little master post. i love the way foggy breaks things down, especially visually. it's something i could never do.

This is what the showrunners had to say about Celeborn before season 2. I'm mean, but I don't want him back.

Loooove direct quotes woo! come on. Got a couple points on this one so let’s talk about it.

Word play is so important here. They were intentional about keeping their options open, like they said. It would be worse if they just assumed him dead and then brought it back later. Actually maybe that would be cooler, IDK.

Word play is equally important when it comes to Elrond and Galadriel. I’ve quoted it before so I won’t put a direct quote here, but again I’m referring to the showrunners describing their relationship as more than best friends. Those awkward blurred lines again. I mean they’ve kissed. Intentionally or not… They would’ve clarified if the door of romance is shut between the two. They clarified it between Galadriel and Sauron earlier this season through the script, which tells me that when they want to send a clear message, they will.

Lastly, my simple theory is that they actually don’t know what to do with Celeborn yet. The showrunners did an interview with Nerd of the Rings and in that interview, shared that they hadn’t planned to make the stranger _____ until season 2. Now, they wrote both seasons together, yes. But this goes to show that not every storyline has been wrapped up in their heads. Now that things are going in a certain direction with E and G, and the support for the ship is growing, then perhaps they’d be a little more confident in leaving Celeborn out. Not to mention that the Tolkien estate has to approve their plans, and they don’t know what will or won’t get approved in advance.

Don’t forget, them “having plans for him later” could also be just plans to discard him lol. The writers will get to decide later on if he will be useful to Galadriel’s arc or not, but he clearly hasn’t been this whole time, so I wouldn’t get TOO worried. Them leaving the door open to the opportunity of him coming back, is also leaving the door open to the opportunity of him not.

Kouji: He’s kinda easy, because I really like that Cd cover where he stared at Yamato playing his harmonica, dreamy eyed. I know it’s kinda lame Kouji is being put with a loner wolf, so I’m taking a safe route, but I honestly can’t get rid of that image printed in my head. Hmmm someone else, someone else, idk. Help. Maybe he could meet Takeru? If he met Yamato, he would meet Takeru as well and Takeru has got a Patamon. Since Kouji was often seen getting Patamon’s attention in the original season, Takeru’s would bring him memories.

• Izumi: Of course, when it comes to your favs you have got ton of ideas. Ton. Let’s say I will write a little bonus down here for Junpei and Izumi, so, for now, I’ll just temporise ahhahah. Many pair Izumi with Miyako, but I would honestly be curious to see how a meeting between Ruki and Izumi would play. Once a friend of mine drew Izumi and Ruki collaborating in modelling together (Ruki was the photographer, Izumi was the model of the photoshoot), but I want to picture them together more because Seki Producer liked saying Izumi “is actually more similar to Ruki than Mimi”. How? At what extent? What did you mean, SekiP? We will never know imo, but maybe if Ruki and Izumi got to know each other…

• Junpei: OF COURSE, same identical tale as old as time like when it comes to Izumi. So many ideas for my boy, I’d make him even meet Taichi and I think they’d go along. During my Adventure 01 “rewatch”, I truly found myself spotting a piece of Junpei in so many characters ahaha. Taichi has got a scene in which he drives some kind of crane in a factory and Frontier’s episode 5, the one in which Junpei drives one as well, blatantly is a homage to that. Needless to say, Junpei has also got something in common with Jyou, whom he met in an official comic (during which Junpei doesn’t miss the chance to compliment Izumi in front of strangers and in her absence lmaoooo); moreover, in the first Frontier ending, Junpei reading his homework on the stairs is another clear homage to 01, to a scene focusing on Jyou, though I can’t recall which episode it was and I apologize.

Still, and I’ve already said it, I ABSOLUTELY want Junpei to meet Ruri. I want him to become envious of her little detective life and bugging her by sticking his nose in whatever digital mystery she’s on. The Great Detective Shibayama meets the fantastic Ririrun! I need to draw them *wants to explode*. Maybe Junpei could affect Ruri with his fantasies about owning a series, who knows.

Junpei would also so funny with Miyako, I swear. The 02 x Frontier pic did place them in a mirroring position and I just adore it lol. They can eat together while talking about their crush, even if Miyako does yell much more than Junpei lmao. Bingo. I think Junpei would admire her technological skills and would evolve in Bolgmon to gain maths intelligence lmao x 2.

• Tomoki: I have played the Takeru card and I don’t really care? Because I want Tonoki to join the Tamers younger kids for once, though we know nothing about Ai and Mako, and unfortunately about Shaochung as well. But ehy, we can come up with headcanons and make these babies have fun. If Impmon acts as a bully like usual, Tomoki will have someone to deal with, though…

• Kouichi: He doesn’t give me any problem like his twin (good boy, Kouichi). Thanks to some people from this fandom, I have jumped on the boat of Kouichi and Hikari, not necessarily on a shipping level. I can see it. I can see Juri boarding as well, but Juri is way too hyperactive to Kouichi’s tastes imo. Hikari is a bit quieter and more considerate. He would put him at ease just like his twin does www.

Talking again about my 01 rewatch, I can confirm to myself early Mimi does remind me of Junpei a lot, which is a sacrilege but, ehm, seriously��???? I don’t blame some dude playing in their stories about Junpei being a Jyoumi son, because he’s really a mix of them. People usually like connecting Junpei with Koushiro (and I do too lol) because of the electric/thunder bug theme, but I also adore creating scenarios for Junpei and Mimi ahahah, two spoiled kids coming from rich families always complaining about needing to eat, sleep, getting disgusted so easily….Two needles stuck up your butt, speaking bluntly ahahha.

I have got a lot of ideas about Junzumi x Koumi . In my hcs Izumi will open a restaurant someday and I do believe Mimi would love visiting it. Then, she would invite Izumi to her cooking tv show and Junpei would stop underlining how wife is much better than this Mimi Tachikawa who has come from who knows where. Roy had never been one for sharing.

Maybe it was the competitive streak in his chest, or the gruelling independence that led him to seizing any opportunity he could. He was no stranger to fighting for the things he wanted, especially contracts.

So maybe it was when he strolled into Shann’s house, already in a completely foul mood just from having to endure the man’s presence, that the visceral anger had ignited the way it did.

Because leaving the kitchen, was a face he recognised all too well.

Roy had actually paused. His footsteps slowed to a stop, cold eyes pinned onto that baby face he liked to bloody up and watch crinkle into tears. Leo had gone rigid upon seeing him, hands tightening around the tray he was holding.

It was a filled with a pot of fresh tea and cups, and Roy’s jaw clenched in annoyance once the situation became abhorrently clear. He felt Shann’s eyes on him, breaking his train of thought.

“Something the matter?” He hummed. Roy looked away from the blond with a sharp glare, making his distaste about the arrangement known. The two weren’t on good terms; never had been. But this was the icing on the cake, taking something that was his.

Roy evened himself out, and out of the corner of his eye, he watched Leo scurry off into the living room. A huge, open space, the entire front wall made from glass, revealing the yard outside.

“No,” he spoke sharply. “Let’s get this over with.”

Shann hummed. He, too, watched Leo go with something glimmering in his eye that Roy didn’t like. Because despite having lost his lion, he didn’t need him in anybody else’s clutches, let alone a competitor like Shann, who he disliked more than anybody else.

“Do you know each other, perhaps?” The man spoke as they entered the living room, eyes pinned on Leo. Roy could sense his discomfort, the little panic and worry in his eyes that he always tried to hide. Roy took a seat.

“No,” he answered. Clear cut, not wishing to dwell, otherwise he might say something he’ll regret. Leo didn’t dare look in his general direction, hands easing the pot up and beginning to pour the tea.

Shann swiftly stopped him, voice and expression switching into something kind and gentle.

“It’s fine, sweet, I’ll handle that. You keep preparing the food, alright?”

His hand eased along the bottom of his back, finger gently tapping under his chin, and Roy watched Leo’s ears go pink under the bright lighting. His arms abruptly came over his chest, throwing one leg over the other angrily.

“Sweet?” He grit out, spitting out the pet name like dirt on his tongue. Leo was already skittering off with his tail tucked between his legs, disappearing down the hallway and back to the kitchen. Shann hummed, a subtly dangerous smile on his face.

“Well, isn’t he just?” He spoke, pouring tea for them both. “I found him on the side of the road a few weeks ago. Poor thing looked like he’d been run ragged. Was claiming he’d been kidnapped and all.”

Roy’s finger inpatiently tapped against his arm. When Shann pushed his tea towards him, he didn’t move.

“You don’t strike me as the type to keep pets,” he slowly bit out, keeping his eyes off the door. Of all people his lion could run into during his escape, it had to be Shann.

The man scoffed. “He’s not a pet. He just takes orders, and does so very well.” He sipped the tea, gazing at Roy over the rim with a sharp look. “Obedient little thing, isn’t he? I just couldn’t help myself.”

Roy’s eyes darkened. He could sense the way Shann was trying to get under his skin, coax any information out of him that he could. Even just for an excuse to put a bullet in his head right now. He imagined where those invasive hands might have been for all but a second, and he was already growing frustrated.

“I’m not here for hospitality or pleasantries,” he snapped. “Neither are you. So let’s stop delaying, shall we?”

They spoke for some time, until Roy promptly excused himself to go the toilet. He slipped down the corridor, eyeing the light coming from the kitchen, and nimbly headed inside. Leo was quietly and obediently tending to the food as he was told, but a look of absolute horror passed over his face once he saw Roy enter the kitchen.

He began to approach him.

He imagined he might try to swerve away, call for his new master. He invisioned that pained look in his eye and those little whimpering noises he made when he got his hands on him once more.

He wasn’t expecting the lion to drop to his knees by his feet.

“Roy, please,” he whispered shakily, his watery eyes staring up at his with desperation. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry for running away, I swear, I won’t—I won’t ever do it again.”

It wasn’t what he’d been expecting. Not in his rage filled mind, not only from managing to escape his grasp, but falling into Shann’s instead, and being at his every beck and call like a little puppy. His face remained stoic, blank, and it made his lion crumble into tears.

“Please!” He begged, his fingers digging into his legs as he shifted closer, visibly shaking now. “Please, help me. Take me away from him, I don’t want to be here anymore. Please, help me, Roy. I’m begging you.”

A twitch of a smile ghosted across his lips. Tears were tumbling down his pale little cheeks, dripping off his chin, and it was delightful how much of a pathetic mess he looked right now. As if appealing to the man’s thoughts, Leo suppressed a sob, his arms clinging around him tightly, squeezing.

“Please,” he choked, shuddering. “I won’t run away again, I promise. Just please—please help me.”

His tilted his head. “What would you have me do, lion?” He drawled, fingers just barely winding through those blond locks. “Do you want me to kill him?”

“I don’t care!” Leo snapped, his head tilting backwards to meet his eyes once more. “Do whatever you want. Just please get me out, I’ll do anything. Absolutely anything.”

And how could he resist his lions request?

Roy didn’t have a problem putting a bullet in the back of Shann’s head, and guiding a shaking, sobbing Leo back to his car. Because, as he’d come to learn, he had definitely never been one for sharing.

For the next chapter. For the sentence that you put of Vegas saying to Pete ‘I can’t lose you’. Is that after Pete goes to the stranger or before? Because it will make Vegas even more paranoid about Pete leaving him for someone else. What will be the worst thing Vegas will do in order not to lose Pete. Kill his competition? I know Vegas is afraid of losing him, he is terrified, will he ever let Pete know about it?

I know it’s a lot of questions but I am really intrigued about Vegas and his toxic behavior. Because it is obviously a very toxic relationship but they nevertheless can live without each other.

since its an insecurity, its actually a lot more unfounded than vegas thinks. like pete is very much matching his freak4freak and they've drawn pretty clear lines around what they want from each other. which is why theyre at this stage where they seem extremely committed without actually admitting they're committed to one another (at least on petes end). pete hooking up with a stranger and- not sure that ive actually spoiled this yet, but not actually enjoying the encounter- is the final push pete needs to actually admit that what he feels for vegas is not going away and isnt transferable. its also the last bit of evidence/ proof? idk how to phrase it but like a final indication to vegas that pete is in this with him- when hes topping pete it finally gives him the confidence to push in the way he's largely been afraid of pushing before-challenging pete on his attraction to vegas and what that means for their relationship in terms of exclusivity. particularly when they both seem to firmly decide on choosing each other and keeping any third parties out.

like obvs its going to be a HUGE step forward for them but its pete hes not going to roll over and give everything up at once. hes still going to be holding onto actually admitting he's in love- because he still hasnt yet admitted that to himself. which is what he needs to do first.

its actually a lot harder for vegas to push pete away at this point- like were at the stage in the fic where pete is aware enough of his feelings but still afraid to admit that hes in love. and vegas is trying to get them over that threshold but hes kind of at a loss of how to do it without outright forcing pete in a way that hes not ready for. the circumstances in the bathroom, make it a little too much of a satisfying conclusion for vegas to actually spare a thought for killing the stranger- its very obvious to vegas that the man isnt doing anything for pete when he interrupts them so hes actually not viewing him as competition in that moment. idk how he would react but if im being honest when weve seen vegas' jealous side i dont think even he particularly believes in them being a real tangible threat? like hes being petulant and immature about it sure but pete isnt giving him an actual reason to feel truly threatened if that makes sense? vegas is just letting his own insecurity run wild/combined with the fear of losing pete. i dont think hes actually viewing anyone else as a true threat to his connection to pete in the end. maybe later down the track when he feels more secure in the relationship (and petes feelings) vegas might actually admit to the fear of losing pete but as of right now hes too afraid to talk about it- less he make it a reality.

Sorry friends, this is gonna be a long one. I feel like speaking in a space where someone may see and perceive what I'm saying is helpful to personal accountability. Please feel free to skip, it's more of a thought dump than anything (I am midway through writing now and I think I lost the plot a while ago lol)

Topics covered: grind culture, mental health, self-care, and learning when to manually sound the alarm for yourself as an audhd-er in the deep end of life.

Here's some tags that I left on the the grind culture reblog before this. I just wanted to share some thoughts and didn't want them to get lost; I feel like making a proper post really solidifies the situation (sorta like getting those abstract thoughts from your head onto paper, and realizing just how bad it is when it's all laid out before you.) And I want to make a change when I can finally get my head above water.

I think it can be especially difficult for us AuDHDers, since we don't necessarily have alarm bells installed that neurotypicals in similar situations may have but "choose" (consciously or not) to ignore. Things can really spiral into a bad place quickly if you don't have the cues or signs to alert you. We need to be diligent in doing those manual checks ourselves, KNOWING that we have struggles that make life just that much more difficult.

Take inventory of your life. Do you allocate time to self-care activities, and/or are those the right activities for you? Turns out for me that building a complex skin care routine (as suggested by mainstream self-care culture) only stresses me out more. Especially when I never have the energy to do it, making me feel bad when I only manage to do the basics *sometimes* (and the stress acne persists smh my head). My therapist recommended productive activities that involve both current hyperfixes and that ADHD Motor™. I want to learn basic carpentry over the summer, since I love working with my hands! For now, drawing masked men as cats will suffice (though I will not complain about the kittenification of my faves)

Choose a moment to consciously feel how your body is feeling. Check in with yourself! This is important for my alexithymia bitches. Are you more fatigued than usual? Are your muscles tense for some reason? Have you been hungry with no appetite? If you notice anything, let's make some connections—really dig into it. The instance I mentioned in the tags above was a really clear one for me. I took like 12 hours on the IV in the Ivy art instead of coursework, and that weekend I slept almost 22 hours. A few days later, I'm still in a cycle of horrible fatigue and excessive sleep. Connecting the trigger event (taking the time to create "unnecessary" art) to current sensations (extreme fatigue) is giving me insight into how stressed I actually am that I wouldn't have really seen otherwise.

I'm also feeling more and more aware of how activities and things become a bit of a crutch to avoid expending energy on social activities. Idk how many other people deal with this particular problem, but I have almost zero social drive. Like I legitimately don't feel the need to meet people and see friends. Almost 100% of my social needs are covered by talking to my parents, chatting with the girls at work (while at work) and passively absorbing interactions from complete strangers within earshot. It's one of the big things I'm continually documenting for when I can finally afford to get evaluated for autism (babygirl I don't even have enough for the ADHD assessment yet and that's more crucial for disability stuff lol) and it makes life real tough.

Not having the time nor the drive to invest in relationships really stunts you as a person in my experience. I don't know how to actually quantify what makes a friend (e.g. are we friends because we are Tumblr mutuals who haven't had an actual conversation but hype each other up in notes?) and I don't have any time to learn. I can't participate in leisure activities that may take some of the pressure off since I haven't been able to practice initiating interactions. It baffles me how some of the girls at work just casually meet up outside of work, or make plans out of the blue in a conversation (how tf do you gauge when/if to propose something????)

Like, it's bad. I haven't seen my best friend in a year and a half, and even the term "best friend" almost definitely isn't accurate in this scenario anymore. It's just another stressor that could potentially be avoided by lifting one's nose from the grindstone, but it's so intimidating to even try at this point. I don't feel the drive to be friends, but something tells me it's healthier than being alone with my work and thoughts.

Idk I think that's all I have for now. I definitely went on a tangent or two that don't connect back to the original idea so apologies for the letter-based vomit.

ty if you read any of this, if you have any thoughts or input I'm always open for replies or asks. The world is big and fast and horrible and confusing a lot of the time, but I think sharing experiences helps to keep things in perspective.

It happened one year later much to your disliking. In no way was it that you had gone through a tremendous heart break, but it was hurtful. You know Jungkook had his own problems to deal with but that didn’t make it okay for him to say the things he said. So right now that he’s standing a few feet away from you, it makes you think back to when you lived next to each other.

You’re not sure if he’s seen you yet and you hope he hasn’t. The last time you saw each other was when he had nearly cried telling you he didn’t mean anything he said. If it had been your younger self, you would have forgiven him but it’s taken a long time for you to know your own self worth. It wasn’t your fault if when Jungkook finally decided to own up to all the shit he had said to you and numerous girls, you didn’t forgive him. What did he honestly expect?

It hurt more to know that you had built a friendship that was ruined in one night.

“Are you ready to go?” Namjoon asked as he finished paying the bill for your food. You’re not even sure when the bill had come, you were too engrossed in the thought of Jungkook when you shouldn’t have been.

“How much do I owe you?” You asked in regards to the bill as the two of you stood from your seats. Namjoon smacked his lips creating a sound as he shook it off, “Don’t worry about it, you’ll get me next time.”

You were happy to leave without being noticed, that’s what you hoped for anyway.

You didn’t want to run into him at the door when he so graciously held the door for the person behind him. Namjoon stepped out first, thanking him in the process, eyes meeting as they both came to a stop. You tried making your escape silently but when his eyes looked to the last person stepping through, he froze.

His eyes shifted between you and Namjoon who looked away nervously. Yoongi smiled, “Joon, buddy, we didn’t know you were here and with…” his eyes shifted to you and then Jungkook.

“Uh yeah, there was a movie we both wanted to see and ended up getting dinner after. I didn’t see you in there either,” Namjoon responded. You know he was Jungkook’s friend but you only hung out with Namjoon when he reached out to you and it was only ever you two for this exact reason.

It was awkward, neither you nor Jungkook knew what to feel right. The two of you never dated, you were only friends who hooked up one night and broke apart after that. It hurt the same but in reality, there’s no reason to still hold grudges, was there?

Jungkook cleared his throat anxiously as he looked back at you, “How are you?” You shifted your gaze to everyone around you who all looked around as if they weren’t here. Jungkook looked back at them and in one quick moment, they were all backing away, even Namjoon who was now being questioned by them about you.

“I’m good, how are you?” You asked politely, making him shrug, “I’m okay.”

You looked at the time on your phone glancing over at Namjoon before speaking to Jungkook, “Do you want to go somewhere and talk?”

“Yes,” he said breathlessly and in a rush. You asked what he wanted to, like usual. Namjoon looked over at you as you practically asked him for permission, “Text me when you get home?”

Jungkook bit back the main question on his mind as he began walking toward the metal table outside of the restaurant you had just been at. The guys all left until it was just the two of you and you sat awkwardly facing each other.

He chuckled suddenly, “I hate my new neighbor, now I see why you hated me at first.”

You smiled, “Why? Does he eat your food deliveries too?”

“Worse, he sings in the shower. I, at least, was always on tune,” he joked, making you laugh at the memory. Your laugh made him laugh too and it was soft and genuine. He cleared his throat, “I had a feeling you and Namjoon would hit it off. He’s very… caring.”

“He’s a good friend,” you answered simply.

“Jungkook?” You said after some time sitting together in silence. He looked up at you with soft eyes as you smiled, “I hope you’ve been doing well.”

“I’ve been trying to,” Jungkook said honestly, like he always did when he was with you, “But I um, I know I said this before, but I’m really sorry for the way I acted.”

“I know,” you said, “It’s in the past.”

“And I don’t think I ever really told you how much I enjoyed being friends.”

“I enjoyed it too,” you told him honestly. He smiled shyly at that. He seemed so different from the fuckboy you first met.

“And my neighbors are boring, they don’t even try to make it through my window,” you joked and he laughed. He had a big smile on his face, “Yeah, not everyone can be me.”

He looked at you hopefully but you just smiled, “True.”

“You know, um, I understand if you don’t want to, but maybe we can meet up like this from time to time?”

“Maybe,” you said, checking the time and he knew what it meant. It was late and you wanted to go home now. He stood at the same time you did and at once, your arms were around his neck and his were on your waist.

He still doesn’t understand why you were so different from the others when you were only friends. He still doesn’t know why he thinks about you from time to time and why he still feels the same as he looks at you. All he knew was that things just didn’t work out.

Your hand touched his cheek softly as you pulled away, “I didn’t want to at first, but I am happy we got to talk.”

“I’m happy too, honestly,” he never told you how happy he was to meet you. He never told you how happy he was he got to know you, or to feel your lips on his. He never told you how light you made him feel when you talked or when you’d yell at him for being a bad neighbor.

He leaned into your hand and without thinking he planted a kiss on your forehead, “I’m really happy.”

You gave one final smile as you pulled away and he let you, “I should get going.”

“I’ll wait with you for a cab,” he said and you nodded letting him help you find one.

When it finally came to the goodbye, you stopped at the door of the car as he held it open for you. You both cracked some shy laughs, “Bye.”

“Bye.”

Just an observation

Also, I want to firmly establish that I am not trying to tear this woman down. Not in the least. I am not making a comment on her or her appearance. I don't know her, and my comment is mainly about her husband Tony.

Have you guys ever seen how Tony Goldwyn looks standing next to his real-life wife? I'm sure whatever dynamic they have works for them. They've been married for maybe like 35 years or something. He has a different energy around her. More subdued. He also kinda looks his age when he's standing with her. But when he's standing next to Kerry Washington, he looks so much more vibrant and youthful. I won't say he looks happier, I'd say he looks flirtier, and he looks more attractive (to me at least). He looks the way men look when they feel better about themselves cause they have a hot girl on their arm.

That's been my feeling about G, L and C. Both in scripted scenes and in the bloopers G looks and acts like he's more alive with and around C. (This isn't grandice bait. Lol). It's clear to many that G doesn't look alert or interested when he is around L. There are s9 bloopers where he is putting his hands all over C (more than the scene wrote im sure since they rarely let westallen be in the same room so barry being all over Iris was a stretch). I didn't see much content about him around Lucy so I can't speak for that, but it's undeniable that G and C have something unique. A pull of some sort to each other. That can't be fun for L to witness. Even if she wasn't truthful in the beginning abt being pregnant (idk if that's a rumor, but let me know), he did marry her. And she had his baby. And she still can't get his attention. That must suck. And I say that genuinely. Even if her intentions weren't pure and shes in this for the money, to be rejected that deeply would have an effect on anyone's esteem.

It also reminded me of the fiasco that was India and Corey when they were doing the press tour for Queen Charlotte. His gf eventually got really upset by what was being said and he had to adjust his behavior. It did not look good at all because it ended up producing pictures of India and Corey standing next to each other like strangers not touching or even facing each other.

All this to say, don't date an actor if you aren't sure withing yourself.

He’s nervous. Uncharacteristically so. It’s just you, he thinks, what’s there to be nervous about? You’re his best friend, after all. But that is the problem, he realizes: You’re his best friend. The one he comes to for anything and everything. Suddenly he’s wishing the bottle had landed on a stranger; strangers he has no problem kissing, but you… 

“Alright then. You ready?” He asks, clearing his throat, willing his thoughts to stop spiraling. 

“Sure. Yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?”  

He sniffs a quiet laugh through his nose at your response before moving forward, your familiar scent invading his senses. It’s dark in here, darker than he’d anticipated, so he can’t see much more than the outline of your head before him. It’s difficult to determine exactly how far you are from him so, to avoid headbutting you, he reaches out a hand, searching for your face. 

“Uh, what are you doing?” you ask, voice laced with confusion as he places a hand on your shoulder. 

He remains silent as he gingerly feels his way up the side of your neck, the gentle thrum of your pulse against his fingers. He continues his path up, moving to cradle your face. He hears your breath catch, the sharpness of it cutting into him like a knife. 

“Not much light in here,” he says, more nonchalant than he feels. “Need a little assistance if I’m gonna have to land blind.” 

“My face isn’t a landing strip, Poe." 

He snorts, the joke calming him somewhat as he absently strokes his thumb over your cheek. “Noted.” 

Your warm breath fans across his lips, smelling sweetly of the Jet Juice you’d both been imbibing. His nose bumps yours as he leans in, his lips brushing the corner of your mouth as he turns his head. When he finally presses his mouth to yours, something swells in his chest, something he can’t quite put a name to. He feels like he’s moving in slow motion, his lips sliding against yours unhurriedly, like they could do this all day. When you begin to reciprocate, pressing your lips back against his, he pauses, like his brain is unable to process the action; you’re kissing him back. Obviously you’re kissing him back, that’s the game, isn’t it?  

So why does it feel like there’s more to it than that?  

This thought flips a switch inside him—suddenly this is all he’s ever wanted, you are all he’s ever wanted. Why did it take him so long to realize it? 

He sighs, whether in relief or contentment, he’s not sure, all he knows is he wants more—more of you, of this. He angles your head, deepening the kiss as he presses his mouth harder against yours. Your lips are soft, molding to his like they were made for this, for him. When he pulls you closer, he hears your breath catch, a jolt of pleasure rushing through him at the sound. This isn’t the first time he’s held you (hell, you’ve fallen asleep on him more times than he can count), but it’s never been like this—like he can suddenly feel every inch of you. 

Somehow though, it’s still not enough. He needs more.

When he traces the seam of your lips with his tongue, you part them without hesitation, sighing softly when he dips inside. The taste of you is intoxicatingly sweet, both from the alcohol and from something so inherently you. He licks into your mouth, tongue sliding hotly against yours as he cradles your cheek, his fingertips caressing your velvet-soft skin. He feels your fingers tangle in the fabric of his shirt, a groan escaping his throat when you somehow manage to pull him even closer, his chest bumping against yours.

Lust clouds his head, makes him forget where he is, forget the game, the horde of Resistance personnel outside the door, forget everything—except you. So lost is he in you, in this moment, he almost misses the click and whoosh of the closet door opening. At the last second, he panics, quickly schooling his features as the light spills inside, squinting as his eyes readjust. 

He doesn’t look at you; he can’t, is too afraid you’ll see, see that inside he’s a mess, a jumble of thoughts and feelings he needs to untangle. He just needs time, he decides, time to figure out what just happened, what he feels…what you feel. When you pull away from him, a piece of him dislodges, becomes unmoored. He pushes the feeling away, nodding awkwardly to the crowd as the two of you exit the closet to return to the party.

I think I really love the scene where both of them are sleeping together. The giant would put their hand around them to protect them. Or maybe the giant pulls the tiny close to them. Make sure the tiny is safe. And the tiny ones just spoon their nose or just hug their entire face. I just admire the whole atmosphere of this scene is so peaceful. It show so much trust from the tiny to sleep that close to the giant.

Protective giants are *chef kiss*. Like the tiny are talking /arguing with some strangers. And the giant just put their hand to separate them and just stare at the strangers. Like “don’t you dare to come close to my tiny AGAIN”

Or the tiny and the giant was arguing, but somehow the giant lost their temper. Maybe slam on the desk so close to the tiny, OR they accidentally show their fangs. And the whole room just frozen, the tiny was scared at that moment, and the giant said “ ..why you looking in that way…” Then the giant starting to breakdown slowly. Regretting about what they just did, covering up their face and starting to sob. They can’t believe they scared the people love the most, the ones that they are protecting. Meanwhile, the tiny just reached out to the giant, and trying to calm them down. Trying get their hands off their face ( I think it’s really cute haha)

Some similarities between I'm Not Okay With This and Stranger Things

I'm not going to talk directly about ST, because just taking out INOWT will be enough for you guys to see the similarities. They have many themes in common. I just ask you to not restraint yourselves to "character A from INOWT is an equivalent to character B from ST" kind of interpretations. All the characters are way different from each other.

⚠️ INOWT spoilers ahead ⚠️

For the ones who don't know anything about it, INOWT is a Netflix series produced by Shawn Levy, and it's about Syd, an angsty teenage girl dealing with her teenage problems and finding out she's got telekinetic powers.

The show clearly uses Syd's powers as an allegory for her teenage problems, anger issues, repressed feelings and sexuality (she's a lesbian). Everytime she represses and internalizes her anger or suffering, her powers go out of control. She's trying to control them, but her life is a bit of a mess.

Syd has problems at home, she's got anxiety and depression, and she's is figuring out she have feelings for her girl best friend Dina, who is in a relationship with a stupid jock. Syd's also experimenting going out with Stan, a nerd and a weirdo who has always shown interest in her.

Finding out about her dad's past and secrets, and dealing with his death is also a big part of Syd's arc. The show likes to parallel a lot both of them, btw. He also had powers, and, imo, it gets implied he was closeted gay, too. He committed suicide a little before the events of the series, because he couldn't deal with his own super powers and his PTSD from serving the marine (and with his queerness, too, probably). He didn't tell anyone and suffered all alone.

In the last episode of the season, when Syd was getting dressed for the school dance, her mom shared a memory of when she started dating her dad. It was the school dance, and the guy who had invited her ditched her at the party. Then Syd's dad saw her all sad and alone, and asked her if she wanted to dance. Them both seemed happy, and started a relationship right after that.

Later, a similar situation happened with Syd and Stan at the school dance. However, the outcome was different. Stan was ditched by the girl he invited, and Syd went after him to be by his side in this bad moment. They had a heart to heart in which Stan made it clear that he really likes Syd, despite they were not together anymore.

Syd decided to be completely honest with him, saying she also likes him very much but not in that way. Hi Jo,

Here we go. Some time has gone by and with that also some things have changed.

I managed to get used to this place in some way, which means I'm not totally stressed out all the time and everywhere. I got in touch with some people which means when I go outside for cigs I know everyone who's there too and it's kind of company. That's a good thing, it's not only strangers anymore.

I can't do all of the things I should do, like I don't go swimming or go to the gym here but that's okay.

I've got a different problem now and I'm struggling with that.

After 3 weeks being here my therapist talked to me about what she is perceiving and what her impression is of me. And it seems that I show the same problem here as at home with my therapist. It's that I can't open up fully. That doesn't mean I have to talk about all 100% of me and I know that. I actually knew very well what she told me what the problem is because I feel it too. I also feel it with my home therapist and they are both right lol. I will try to explain but it's pretty difficult.

I do can talk about all topics. Right before a session I always feel enough relaxed and motivated and willing at my heart do the therapy work thing lel. . Sometimes I already have a topic in my I head I wanna bring up.But as soon as I enter this talk situation I already have a strong sense of stress. It just happens and I don't know why. Suddenly all those good feelings are gone. I go in kinda protector mode. My body makes it seem like there's an attack coming. I'm sweating, hearts pumping and the whole conversation feels like a fight. And idk why the fuck. At first I thought I just need a lot of time to trust, but I've been there for a year and it didn't change. Like I can talk about everything but when it comes fo the thoughts and feelings behind the things I talk about, all the big questions of why and how my mind thinks about it, I just can't tell. The questions get in my head but they don't really. As more good and right a question goes as distanced my answers go. And I can't do a thing about it. Once I get home and think about the sessions and questions suddenly my mind clears up and only then I feel like the question really gets to me and In my head I get a much more right and honest answer. And I always just wish I could go back and say it then. So now my therapist noticed this pattern and everything she said was right. In totally it means that If I keep sticking by that pattern, i won't make progress. Which is the point I'm at therapy at home. Because I am not getting 100% into it. And ofc the big question is finding out what causes this stress. Why am I holding back? What is the specific fear? What is it, that I'm worried about, if I stop holding back. Those are the questions I got asked, which I ofc also got asked back then at home. Bc that's how the therapist work right, identifying the problem and then you can work on it, but I don't the fuck know. I tell them I trust them. I tell them that I know its okay to say all the things I want, to share all the things and I know that nothing will happen here. But I obviously don't because otherwise I would do it, right ?

Ugh idk i feel like for outer ppl if seems not like a big deal. Like the advice I hear is 'give yourself time/ there's nothing to be scared of / everybody feels weird talking with a stranger about everything inside ur head" but I feel like in my case it just goes much deeper and I need more than more time or just more trust.

So that convo made me the fuck sad and very angry about myself. I just keep thing 'I hate myself' a hundred times. Because after all this time and many happenings I took so many steps to finally get rid of all this dark shit. And now it's really myself who's is holding me back. Who say no to the help all These nice ppl Here are offering me. My therapist asked what we can change or do different so that I feel more at ease and all I can think about it is to say nothing. Because there's nothing wrong there. I like her, she's kind and there isn't a single thing she does that makes me uncomfortable.

So that's what's in my mind now. Thinking about how my mind works, where the switch is to make talking about my inside does not feel like a death sentence, as if the worst that could happen. Because otherwise this time here was wasted and nothing will ever change. Since that convo my depression raised loool so i just feel down and mainly hopeless.

Now it's weekend and as always I just hope time goes by fast because weekends are just empty days here. And I just hope the next sessions comes soon and I will give everything to not hold back. But idk man, idk idk idk.

You know what i get it yeah when it comes to members in groups that get super popular. It basically happens in every single group, it’s almost unavoidable (and don’t come at me saying any insert group bc you know that’s a lie). I know when it can get super biased towards one member and a company pushes them to the front and center too much it can cause not just a rift between fans but also within members themselves. Like obviously, I can totally see why a company would want to capitalize on a member’s fame because logically it makes the most sense. More exposure to them means more money, but if there’s anything i learned about trickle down economics (is that it’s a fucking joke) is that this kinda thing doesn’t work in the long term for the benefit of an entire group. This kind of dynamic has no right way to go about it, but it needs the cooperation of the whole group for it to work. Popular members NEED to also advocate for their peers and set it straight. The times i see this happen in real life I find generally really benefits the whole group. They gain more respect from their fans and their other members get appreciation. But anyways that’s just a small little anecdote. Not super well thought out, but there’s probably more i could say but yeah.
