matt hung out with us tonight, just to hang out, and after arin left for work at one point we were talking about the shopping I wanna do after I get home cuz I need a few things and want a few things and also just. haven't been shopping since november except for a grocery trip and like 15 minutes in a daiso. cuz he sells books to used book stores that he gets for free from like estates and stuff, and today he had a bunch of books and he got enough for the new toaster we wanted. so I was going over like the best order in which to go places, which is probably big lots fred meyer target the mall michaels, cuz if we go to michaels last I'll know how much money I have for crafts, and he wants fred meyer on the list cuz he thinks it's better for home goods like the new hamper arin wants. (and he says time efficiency doesn't matter cuz it's fun.) so I was also listing what money I had available, which is the allowance (and commissions) I've been saving up all month, plus my secret $100 for emergencies if I'm not gonna be the one covering emergencies for a while (which he very quickly responded I wouldn't be), plus my regular savings from negotiating for a little bit extra in what I get from arin per month and also the patreon. and like, it is actually safe now for me to spend all that. arin doesn't have a job lined up just yet but she's actively passionate about one and also got her disability paperwork in finally, and we'll've saved up a lot more than we need for the move that we can use to keep helping out with rent and keep my allowance paying out and stuff until one or both of those processes (plus she does already have some disability income she's just hoping to raise her rating). and my disability appeal is still processing, and if something goes wrong at his job (which, apparently it's been a real tight sales year for everyone but him) I can file for advancement due to financial need, and even before that I may be able to file for advancement due to severe illness depending on how new docs shake out. so if I want $600 of clothes and shoes and craft supplies, I would be allowed to do that. (I probably don't. but if I do.)
