I love that Yoh, who has consistently dressed colorfully, said this about Pun.

Pun, the vampire who has been consistently dressed darker, is the colorful one in Yoh's eyes.

This vampire, in his dark colors, is Yoh's color.

The dark vampire brings color to Yoh's life.

Which makes sense because Yoh sees Pun's light side.

Because he brings out Pun's light side.

All the time.

Makes perfect sense.

I love it.

It's the way Pun's umbrella matches Yoh's shirts when they go to see the UFOs and the smile at each other so sweetly.

It's Yoh's teeny tiny red necklace matching Pun's shirt and the necklace of the cross that Yoh gave him. The red drop on his neck because he's finally starting to believe in the vampire even if it's hard to really see. @respectthepetty colors are coloring, I think.

A hint of blue and the yellow-ish stripes? Not as strong as the others but it's there. Shut up. They're adorable.

But also, awards to Yoh for wearing a shirt that says 'Will U be my honey bun?' while also denying his interest in Pun. (Also, also, also, Pun's umbrella is the same color as Yoh's childhood shirt! @respectthepetty I can't decide if the colors are just all over the place or meaningful...)

I was wondering if you think the behavior of Yo in 1000 years is problematic. I mean, he got an apartment next to the guy after basically stalking him?

I'm just wondering if it could be a problem.

So far, they're following the rules of romcom stalking very well. Pun isn't upset at what's happening and Yoh's attention is meant to be just as confusing to him as it might be to Pun. He is not forcing his way into every aspect of Pun's life but rather where they connected and growing from there and Pun is pulling them together as well.

If the shows stays on that path, we're probably safe if you don't mind romcom style stalking which can be iffy for people.

I do not think the show will stray into more realistic style stalking like Cooking Crush where Pun rebuffs Yoh or tells him to stay away and is ignored which would bother me more.

All of this to say... it could become more problematic and it's imperfect but it's part of the genre and the show is using it well in terms of the characters without making it feel unpleasant for either party.

If this were real life it would be bad. But this is a vampire bl where the vampire wanders around with colorful umbrellas... I'm not worried about that.

There's nothing wrong of you are bothered by it, though. Some tropes just bother people and that's okay! But I'm not as worried about this one because of how it's being shown and because of the show itself, honestly.

But if you're trying to catch me with disliking Fire and Dynamite versus not minding Yoh and Pun is really ask that you didn't. They're very different dynamics and shows and while I tried to draw a clear comparison here I don't really want to do a deep dive between them.

I don't know if the umbrellas are going to match up, but I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that maybe, perhaps, possibly Pun is dark coded and Yoh is the lighter colorful one.

Pun's three outfits in episode one included black

And the trailer shows him in outfits that include darker elements.

While Yoh is always brightly colored.

And he is in the trailer as well.

So maybe, perhaps, possibly I'm on to something and Pun is dark coded and Yoh is the lighter colorful one.

And vampire Pun will get lighter the more he hangs out with human Yoh.

Hopefully, I'm not jut seeing things, and I really am getting colors (and a vampire Slut for Christ), and I'll have to figure out if the umbrellas are part of that, and you get your dancing, and everything will be cool beans!
