I'm sure I noticed it before but when Richelle is going off on Ozzy in One Song Glory because she's mad everyone is leaving she says that Heath is leaving to open a spy store and that's just such a funny image.

And getting pissed at myself for throwing away my old Bratz and Barbies. (seriously why the fuck did I do that?)

After being reminded that Sharpay's assistant's name in HSM3 is Tiara Gold, I now have to wonder if TeaAra Bling in TNS8 is a reference to that. Because they're just similar enough to make me question it.

I kind of hate that 8B makes me care about Heath. I didn't dislike him as a character but he was just kind of there and then they gave him the whole "I don't know if I'm good enough" arc and it hit me in my emotions and I have to feel bad for him.

Watching the A-Troupe party deleted scene again and I'm still irrationally excited about Maya and Grace entering holding hands Like That. I need more platonic intimacy, it's really freakin' adorable.

I really underestimated the power of new content. The context for Richelle and Ebby's "President" duet just dropped on the CBBC Youtube channel and I can't even get through it because I keep excitedly stimming.

8B Heath telling Xander he knows what it's like to be an alternate and how frustrating it was as if he didn't audition knowing it was for an alternate spot. Like everyone at the auditions this season knew that there was a chance they could be the alternate, but were hoping it's not going to be them. Heath only auditioned for an alternate spot, it's not really the same thing.

Once again frustrated with the fact that Kenzie and Heath didn’t just audition for A-Troupe during The Challenge.

I think this is my favorite deleted scene from Season 8 so far. The Cleo & Jude bracelet scene I don't think should've been cut because of plot necessity, but this scene would've added so much and really showed more of how everyone felt about the new A- and B-Troupes. Anyway it's really cute and I loved seeing all the B-Troupe friendships.

Going back and watching Season 8 Nationals, I’m actually angry about Richelle and Ozzy. There was no reason for them to get together except for fanservice.

I may have complained about it here before, but my family and friends have definitely heard me complain about it; the soundtracks for Season 8 of The Next Step have a completely different naming structure than the other 11 soundtracks (for the various seasons, not including the Prom Playlist, Live Tour album, etc.) and putting them all in a Spotify playlist and organizing it by album puts the Season 8 soundtracks above everything else. They had such an organized naming structure, and then they had to go and change it for Season 8

Richelle and Ozzy's extended "Can You Feel the Love" dance literally came out five hours ago and I've already watched it three times

I don't want to get into it on the fandom page, but there seems to be a lot of speculation going on as to why Winnie mentions Presley and not Grace in her toast in the new deleted scene. A couple people have said that it's possible that Presley was originally supposed to make it which is possibly why the scene was cut. But if you watch the scene closely it looks like Winnie is actually looking at Grace (neither Presley nor Grace is actually on screen, but based on their general proximity to Winnie imo she's definitely looking at Grace when she says Presley's name). We have no way of knowing why they chose to not reshoot, especially since the fully edited scene includes Maya referencing the fact that Grace would be going to Nationals, but I definitely think it was a misspeak rather than there was originally a plotline where Presley made A-Troupe and not Grace (mostly because as somebody mentioned while they were still filming Season 8, Emily Roman was in college and likely didn't have the schedule availability to do the full season).

So The Symmetry Of was my favorite dance from Step Inside (genuinely loved the shove, it felt very in character, as did her aerial out of the situation.) And so I thought it was interesting when they released the extended dance that it's not the same version as the one that made it into the final cut of the episode. I watched the Step Inside episodes probably 3 times, and The Symmetry Of dance another 2 or 3. Obviously I know that stuff happens, things change, but it is an interesting comparison because in the episode (the top gif) she shoves him to the left and then exits to the right and in the extended dance (the bottom gif) she shoves him to the right and exits left. And everything else seems to be pretty close if not the same, except this one obvious thing. Anyway, it's like a month after the extended version came out but I've been thinking about that a lot.
