Leo and Donnie in my separated au!

Leo’s mom, Octavia Talon, is a raccoon yōkai and Donnie’s mom, Lumi Monroe, is a flemish giant rabbit yōkai, I’ll definitely have to draw them later :)

Leo is a thief, plain and simple, he see shiny object? Nice. Shiny object is his now. I was 100% thinking about Sly Cooper when I was drawing him. (Might make his weapon similar, who knows)

Idk what Donnie is, I just wanted to draw him in an evil scientist outfit. Lumi is a mechanical engineer, so he might do something similar.

@dandylovesturtles I thought it would be fun to draw a crossover between Sidelined AU and Minor Interference. MI Donnie is deaf/hard of hearing (he has hearing aids built into his goggles), and he would love seeing other forms of adaptive technology.

"Teenage Mystic Yokai Turtles"

Mystic Summons Au : Casey and April summon 4 mystic turtles, using ancient clan scrolls, to help save the world (the boys are just a tad unhinged and rather enjoy the modern world than do any work)

Thousands of years old(technically)

Earth threatened by Triceratons

Michelangelo:

- 'Youngest'

-is the strongest, mystic power wise

-often floats around

-major prankster

Donatello:

- 'second youngest'

- absolutely fascinated by technology, there wasn't any the last time they were summoned

-able to connect and control programs/tech such as spaceships, simply by touching and extending his mystic

-holds grudges

Leonardo:

- 'second oldest'

- likes planning pranks with Mikey

- loses arm to Triceratons?

- flamboyant

Raphael:

- 'oldest'

- big ol teddy bear

- loves cute fluffy things

All four are technically the same age, slight time difference in hatching

The magic summon scroll:

Ancient, can only be destroyed by incredibly powerful mystic magic. Cannot be destroyed by the mystic sealed in it. Several scrolls scattered around the world each with different mystics. Mystics are sealed by either being forced, tricked, or agreeing to a contract of sorts. Don't necessarily have to obey the one who summoned them, big loopholes to take advantage of there. Scrolls are impervious to the elements; fire, water, sunlight, time etc. Those who seal them don't have to be stronger than the mystic being sealed, although it helps.

Mystics do not age while inactive-sealed-not summoned. Time in between Summons is like a blink, or short nap. Time is paused and so is their consciousness. Mystics can be any species, not just yokai.

About the boys sealing circumstances:

Were tricked into it. Not really mad about it,(probably) since the dude who sealed them is long since dead. Have been sealed since medieval times. Only summoned 10 times, last was over 3000 years ago (have to check my math) these numbers and times are subject to change because I can't make up my mind or bother with math

All four are on 1 scroll, cannot be summoned individually. All or nothing.

The Triceratons:

Lived on earth back in the dinosaur age as normal dinosaurs, mutated by krang deal. Big guys, like 12 tmnt big.

Returned, but decided to get rid of the 'lesser lifeforms' aka humans before settling in.

Or

Fugitiod situation. Except he actually is a criminal. And a cyborg(?) But overall a nice guy.

The krang: ? Who Dat? No krang here?

Casey jones Hammato: Hamato clan descendent. 19 yrs. Fluffy black hair, striking blue eyes. Summons the boys in hopes they will protect the earth.

April (O Neilus or Hammato idk):

Sister or best friend? 18yrs. Red hair. Summons boys with Casey. Part of the Violet Wyverns (band or gang or club idk yet)

Violet Wyverns (name pending): band or gang or club of some real cool peeps. Members include Mondo(leopard gecko yokai boy, 16 yrs) Milo ( Asian persuasion girl, 17yrs) plus more I haven't decided yet

Hidden City: pretty much the same as rottmnt, lotsa them all over the earth.

Other planets outside of earth: who knows? Will I ever integrate any in this au?

Other sentient species besides humans: Yokai, mutants, Triceratons, ??? Mythical beings? Idk yet?

Basic plotline/storyline: guys get summoned, some stuff happens, get kidnapped by Triceratons, interagated/tortured for info cause "hey they look like they know something, let's grab them" - them being clueless for once. Escape involves setting the leader ship into self destruct. Repels the dinos. Casey don't know how to seal them back, not that he really wants to, so hey, let's explore modern earth. Chaos ensues. Mystic Mayhem anyone?

Leo, the one that had been so bitter towards Donnie for so long, was the first to act. He checked his pulse first, hoping that maybe the monitor just had an error but no. There was nothing there. Hoping he knew what he was doing, he began cpr. He wouldn't even know if it would work, but he tried. He tried so hard until Raph stepped in and grabbed him, stopping his efforts. "It ain't working, Leo. " he said, only for Leo to jerk himself out of his grasp. "So you're just giving up?! I can do this, I know it!" he retorted, preparing to try again. "Maybe you can." Casey chimed in. "Donnie brought YOU back, didn't he? Maybe he left some notes on how he did it. " he suggested, causing Leo to stop what he was doing and stare. "Yeah... Yeah, let's look." He agreed, taking a breath and turning off the heart monitor before he left the room with Casey, leaving Raph to watch Donnie's corpse. Not that it was going anywhere.

The lab was the first place they thought to look. Except it had such complex locks on it.... "I might be able to break through a couple of them-" Casey began before Leo just swung his swords and opened a portal, gesturing to that. "Oh- right yeah." Casesy said sheepishly before stepping through it into the lab.

The lab was a mess inside. Normally, the softshell kept it so clean and organized, but now it was covered in frantically scrawled notes, half finished projects, and scattered tools. One area remained clean.... the table that Leo had laid on when he was revived. The blood was wiped off, and a single piece of paper lay there. That seemed like the best place to start.

The paper had notes about a mechanical heart replacement powered by crystals that could only be found in the hidden city. He really went that far to bring him back.... Leo had thought it was scary, but now he was starting to understand as he folded up the note and stuck it in his pocket, planning to do just the same. "I think I found it, but keep looking. Just in case we miss something." he said to Casey, who nodded and knelt down to look through the mess.

They searched together for approximately five minutes before they were interrupted by Raph shouting, "GUYS! COME LOOK!". Dropping what they were doing, Leon and Casey both ran out of the lab and back into the med bay. "Is something wrong? What happened?" Casey asked immediately, to which Raph just gestured to Donnie. He was still laying there in the bed, and the heart monitor still gave no indication of life, but..... "He's breathing." Raph answered.

Preview TMNT Donnie Swap AU

I actually made these before the intro comic and I couldn't wait to show them to you

Raph

Only child

The only turtle Splinter was able to save. Because of this same reason, he is overprotected by his father.

Has suggested several times to go out and look for the others, but his dad just won't risk it.

Carries his brother's masks with him everytime he goes out, in case he finds them.

When Splinter made his mask, he asked him to make one for each of his brother's too so they could eventually use them.

Terribly frustrated and even more angry than cannon, due to both his dad's negative to find the others and not being able to find them himself

Still dreams on going to school and meet more people, or more like someone else in general.

Really likes hugs and hopes he's good at them. He is, but ofc no one hasn't told him yet.

Has a stuffed animal that keeps him company, a turtle named Spike.

His dad gave it to him when he was a toddler so he wouldn't miss the others so much when it was time fo bed. Splinter doesn't know he still has it.

Mikey

Ran around the city until he found the Zoo. That's where he grew up.

Really connected to animals for this same reason. Often feeds strays and pigeons.

After the incident, rumors about alien turtles expanded around the city. They became kind of a urban legend.

Mikey, being the creative theater kid he is, eventually saw this as an opportunity to disguise himself and walk freely among the humans.

The trick was not to look too real in order to not stand out from the other mascots. He had to get crafty.

The most familiarized with humans, as he technically grew seeing them constantly and interacts with them daily.

Leo

Found by kid Rocksteady a few hours after being separated from the others. Was more than welcome by the other Mutanimals.

Both afraid and fascinated by humans.

He understands why the others are scared of them, but can't help but think it was a human who created all of them in the first place.

Is really conflicted with the idea of giving the humans the same treatment they had received for years. He believes it will become a cycle and won't really fix anything.

But he firmly thinks his family comes first and doesn't want to disappoint.

Super Fly's right hand.

Leads the team when the big brother has to attend other business.

Is the best at strategy and genuinely knows how to make the fam work together.

Can be intimidating when he really needs to in order to deal with the criminals. His BatMan voice is actually useful here.

Donnie

It hasn't been that long since the Baxter Stockman incident. TCRI was still on alert and when they heard about the strange creatures that appeared one night in the middle of New York, a team rushed to the scene. They managed to catch one of them.

Baby boy was neglected of physical affection.

A turtle wasn't on Stockman's records, so they were really confused as to where he came from. Taking on account the previous encounter with the fly creature, they theorized mutants not only had powers, but they were radioactive too.

Lab... rat turtle?

Scientist quickly found out the mutant actually had the intelligence of a human toddler and a lot of potencial. Some of them were interested on trying to raise him like a child, but Ultrom, still with the idea of creating mutants just to be used as weapons, refused to this and only keep him around to study him.

Donnie was initially treated carefully, as they were aware he was technically a baby and didn't want to risk their only specimen dying. They drew only enough blood to have an idea what they were working with.

Unfortunately, before they had the chance to start extracting his blood to actually recreate the ozze formula, he escaped.

This happened during one of the first attacks of Super Fly to TCRI. Donnie was around four years old.

He didn't went too far though. He had been locked up his whole life and wasn't really familiarized with the outside world. He managed to stick around without being noticed.

You can guess how he got tech savvy.

He eventually stumbled upon anime and One Piece quickly became his favorite.

The 'found family' trope really got to him. He feels a connection with Brook, with the whole lost crew and being left alone for a long time thing. He is hoping to also find his own nakamas.

Should this be like the main AU post? I'll put it all in order later.

I usually don't ask for this, but I would really like to know know what you guys think about it. Also, please point out any typos so i can correct them

Mike tapped his chin for a second. "Prrrrrrobably... me? We don't have much time for art these days, but I did make my own Turtle Titan comics when I was younger. Self-published only, real indie sort of gig."

He leaned in and cupped his hand around his mouth to whisper, as though imparting a secret: "I don't like to advertise because he's a really important and busy guy, but I happen to know Turtle Titan personally, and if you need an autograph, hit me up. All hush-hush, of course." He winked at them both.

Then he straightened up with a thoughtful hum. "That's just me and my brothers, though. When it comes to the kids, I think Lee has everybody beat." He nodded to the arts and crafts table next to him, scattered with uncapped markers and open paints. Right in the center of things, happily scribbling on himself in little wandering lines, was a little baby Leonardo. He was covered in fingerprints of red and yellow and pink paint so thickly that there was barely a hint of green underneath.

Seeing the attention on him, the baby waved and chirped out a friendly greeting.

RISE OF THE TMNT

Initium Novum (#inau) Told from the perspective of an OC (lost turtle sibling called Masaccio (Acie)), takes place during the show and has a lot of other OCs in it if that's not your jam

What Do You Do When You Fall Into Heaven? (#fihau) Told from multiple perspectives, takes place during/after the movie and is a hurt/comfort. The same cast as Initium Novum, with some additions :) I really wanted to write the future guys man they all show up at some point

Who's That Hamato? (#wthau) Kind of an au of Initium Novum, it's what if Acie was also taken in by Splinter. Explores a different facet of them, explores how their relationships would be different in a different situation.

We Have Got To Stop Meeting New People Like This (#snpau) Another Initium Novum/WDYDWYFIH au but this one's Ninjago :) Similar to House of the Rising Sun (Shells) in that the Merge caused their world to join the Merged Realms, they all explore this new world and Acie gets to go nuts.

Boys of Summer (#bosau) Non-OC au, it's another separated au throw the confetti throw the sparkles- Leo focused, he's still with Splinter but Draxum is there as well and has been redeemed, the others found their own ways out of the lab and ended up in different places.

Rise from the Dead (#rftdau) Non-OC au, puts a ghostly spin on the story. The turtles are all ghosts that only April can see. There's no yokai and no mystics, but multiple yokai characters are still in the story, just as humans.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Critters (#tmncau) Sort of Minecraft au but not really, I just really really love the fanon Minecraft hybrids so I made the turtles into them :). They're mutants still but they've got distinctly Minecraft hybrid traits I've put sooo much thought into the traits for all the different hybrids it's so fun

Shell From Another Realm (#sfarau) A Rise/Ninjago crossover au, takes place post-Rise movie and post-Crystalized pre-Dragon's Rising. The turtles, April, and Casey end up in the world of Ninjago and try to find their way home while also trying to figure out this new world.

House of the Rising Sun (Shells) (#hotrsau) Another Rise/Ninjago crossover au, completely separate from the previous one in that this takes place during Dragon's Rising instead. When the Merge caused all the Realms to collide, Earth was one of them, and everyone ended up scattered across the Merged Realms. The Hamatos decide to settle in the Crossroads and meet some young faces.

NINJAGO

Some Assembly Required (#sarau) Completely rewrites the entire thing, based on the question "what if the bite from the Devourer didn't turn Garmadon evil and instead made him sick?" Garmadon is good and raising his children, the kids aren't really as in tune with their elemental powers, and I made a bunch of lore for it around the dragons and the other elemental masters please ask me about it please please /lh (has a couple ocs but not very many) (pretty shippy, a lot of poly relationships)

Web of Destiny (#wodau) Spiderman au, all six main ninja are a group of heroes, with Pixal as a vigilante. Other characters from the series feature as villains. The Dragons Rising cast also features.

The Dragon's Samurai (#tdsau) Crystalized ending rewrite, Pixal focused. Asking "what if their golden powers went haywire after they sent them to Lloyd, causing them to lose themselves? Also what if Nya got a golden form I'm so sad she didn't get one" Basically they get taken over by their powers and Pixal has to go talk some sense into them I lOVE PIXAL SO MUCH DO YOU UNDERST

Abnormal Reaction (#arau) DO YOU GUYS LIKE THE BIZARROS BECAUSE I DO this is entirely me wanting to have a Bizarro au they don't die after getting dusted they just regroup somewhere else and decide to go do their own thing after Garmadon gets defeated

A Different Vision of the Future (#advotfau) I'm lowkey embarrassed about this one lmAO it's a Genshin au,,,,, I probably won't write a fic for it like I will with the others but I wanted to draw it and explore the concept I don't even play Genshin anymore I'm crying

Ready Your Triforce, It's About To Have More Sides (#rytau) Do you guys like Breath of the Wild :) I like Breath of the Wild :) BotW/Ninjago crossover au besties they all end up in different points in time and get to interact with different pEOPLE lots of me messing around with dynamics

staring up at the sky (and hoping to see your face) (#suatsau) Veeeeery self indulgent self discovery au. Everyone but Lloyd is this almost godlike ruler of different concepts and they give him the chance to leave everything to come join them, and he has to make that decision.

Ninjas & Normies (#nanau) They're all just normal college students who like to play D&D, they each get a chance to run a campaign once they're taught how to play. Each campaign is based off a plot point or season from the show.

Departed and Service (#dasau) BASED ON Five Nights at Freddys NOT ACTUALLY A FNAF AU I don't know NEARLY enough about the fnaf lore to make an actual au with it but they're all animatronic characters from a very popular kid's TV show and Morro and Pixal are employees at their party place :) A bunch of side characters show up in this (Dragon's Rising cast also appears)

SPINJITZOON! (#spinau) It's a Splatoon au they're all having fun Ronin is basically Grizz he messes with their weapons and makes them more powerful (Dragon's Rising cast appears)

Pokemon Spin and Pokemon Whip (#pspwau) Pokemon au!!! There's two different parts to this, the first one starring Kai Nya and Lloyd, and the second starring Arin Sora Wyldfyre and Euphrasia! They all go on their adventures and in the second part Kai Nya and Lloyd see themselves in these kids and want to help them go farther

Adventures of the Dragon (#aotdau) Another D&D au but this one is them just living in a D&D fantasy style world :) silly things ensue this one's more just art than fully written story

Shapes and Colors (#sacau) Minecraft au! They're a group of friends who play on a server together and some of them are streamers and youtubers who record these sessions and put it out there for their fans, some of them do lore while some of them have no idea what's going on any of the time. Other elemental masters and Dragons Rising characters appear. (shippy, but mostly with their little characters that they made for the lore)

Lights, Camera, Action! (#lcaau) Silly actor au! Not much else to it

Song of the Sirens (#sotsau) Mermaid au, some of them are pirates and others are mermaids. Just some fun dynamics with some human/nonhuman shipping :)

Mobs of a Feather Flock Together (#moafftau) Another,, another Minecraft au this one is like Adventures of the Dragon in that they live in this world and also they're all different Minecraft hybrids I got really really into Minecraft hybrids man I just really like to draw them,,,, Dragons Rising cast is included

Ninjagoing Going Gone (#gggau) Sort of Scooby Doo-esque mystery au, kind of a blend between movieverse and showverse. Starring Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Euphrasia, they're looking for the old heroes they used to hear about as kids who completely disappeared years ago. They find Lloyd and force him convince him to help them, even though he's not so sure he can.

These Problems Are Multi-Faceted (#tpamfau) Gem au! Like from Steven Universe! Except it's not a Steven Universe au, it doesn't follow the plot of the show at all. Super quick synopsis is Pink Diamond grew tired of the way things were on Homeworld and so rebelled, escaping with his fellow rebels to a planet already under his control. After lots of fighting and the establishment of a shaky truce, an Emerald and his crew are sent to the planet to try and bring Pink back.

I was tagged by @hookahpop to share a snippet of one of my WIPs, and choosing which one to focus on for this was a little hard (oh the fun of having several going at once).

Tempted as I am to talk about some of what I have kicking around in my head for [Ripples In Fire And Sea], there's a lot I haven't hashed out yet.

So instead, a bit of the prequel fic for my TMNT Lab Escape AU:

“They’re agitated,” one of the other keepers muttered to the keeper in the back. “Try circling around to get better angle while Liz keeps them distracted.” All it took for the youngest was hearing the way the eldest’s breath hitched in fear, the sharp intake of breath from the third-eldest as the keeper in question began to move, and in the next moment he let out screech. /RUN!/ One moment there had been little but a tense stillness, and in the next the four of them scattered into pure chaos. Looking back on it later he would only be able to remember brief flashes. Bolting away from the keepers and trying to keep parts of the enclosure landscape between them. The second-eldest going down from a dart after he charged the keepers with a roar. Not knowing where their eldest was. Their third-eldest trying to make it to the enclosure door. Realizing as he narrowly avoided tripping over their eldest that he might have been the first to be tranqued. The realization that he was the last one standing as he ducked behind the central tree. Ducking and dodging, weaving around one of the large rocks marking a rough midway point between the tree and their pond, the brief thunk of a dart hitting the edge of his shell and bouncing off, along with the sudden flood of damp on his shoulder of the dart emptying. The realization that he was the last one standing and he wasn’t getting out of this without being drugged like the others. Unless— Unless… That moment, crouched behind the boulder as he could hear the keepers ranging out in a rough circle around him with the dart on the ground nearby and the damp trickling down his shoulder felt like an eternity. He and his brothers had one chance, one last desperate chance for all of them to get out, and that meant he had to avoid getting drugged. But if the keepers thought he was drugged… It was reckless and a one-in-a-million shot, but it was the only one he had. He jabbed a claw into his right shoulder, close to where he’d felt the dart collide against his shell, before snatching up the dart and holding it close to the wound as he stumbled to his feet with an affected wobble. There was only one chance and he had to make it look good. The keepers froze as he ‘tore’ the dart from his shoulder and threw it, and they continued to watch cautiously as he hurriedly stumbled to the pond to throw himself in. He lingered down there for a moment or two, though he was pretty sure he heard them rushing to the edge out of concern he might drown, before he upped his performance with a near-desperate scrabbling to get to the other side so he could ‘weakly’ haul himself out before slumping. There was quiet, a stretch of quiet that felt like it lasted too long, but the youngest stayed still and feigned unconsciousness. Even as some of the keepers made their way to him, he didn’t even twitch. Please let this work, please let this work, please let this work, PLEASE LET THIS WORK. And then there were hands on him, checking for his pulse, checking that he was breathing, that he wasn’t going into shock. It took everything he had to stay limp and not start screaming.

Okay, for starters: I actually have four TMNT playlists. There's my main one, the one for my post-Ninja Tribunal AU, a Donatello one, and a Leonardo WIP. For the purposes of this post, we're gonna be focusing on my main one.

First off: Demon Slayer, Demon Slayer, Demon Slayer. Specifically NateWantsToBattle's cover of Gurenge. Brandon McInnis and Cristina Vee's cover of Zankyou Sanka, and Shawn Christmas's cover of Kizuna no Kiseki. All three songs fit the familial themes of TMNT so well, which makes sense because Demon Slayer itself is a series about a pair of siblings and... GAH, THE LYRICS, ESPECIALLY GURENGE'S.

Next on the list, Anytime Anywhere by Milet, from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. Seems strange to have such a calm, relaxing song on the playlist, but the lyrics... MMMMM, LOVE IT. (Also one of the only anime openings/endings that I'm not using an English cover.)

And last: Amalee's cover of Spark Again from Fire Force. Two things I love; AmaLee and Aimer. Another thing I love; songs reflecting strength, determination, loyalty, and familial/platonic love with kickass instrumentals. Just... so good.

There are more songs on the playlist, but those are probably the most noteworthy ones (and the least embarrassing for me to talk about jsgkjd.)
