Summery; Just some quick hc's of Leonardo with a child (gn! reader) from the future. all of this is post Krang invasion. I'm down for writing this for the other brothers (+April) as well! ENJOYYYY!! :DD

There are many up's and down's with being Leonardo child from the future

Lets start off with the downs! (YAY)

You're were (still kinda of) VERY over protective of both Leonardo and Casey Jr (This was in fear of losing them)

Which on paper don't sound bad

Until you're trying to throw hands with Leo’s brothers

They could just be play fighting and or full on arguing and you'll find a way to block them from Leo

Not to add, even after the "fight" (depending on how serious it was) you'll full on ignore his brothers

Raph needs help? Too bad, he knows what he did

One time Raph got the cold shoulder for a whole month

All he did was argue against putting pineapple on pizza

Not only do you "protect" Leo from his brothers, you also protect him from unfamiliar things outside of the lair

After the Krang invasion, Mikey thought it would be an amazing idea to cook outside and watch the stars

Mikey thought this would be an amazing idea because 1, you and Casey never really seen the stars before (due to being apocalypse children) 2, because Leo is now safe and sound :'3

Everything was fine and dandy until Donnie brought out some fireworks

Donnie thought that everybody would love the fireworks

He thought

Spoiler alert; you didn't, and you didn't let Casey or Leo watch the fireworks

Mikey believe that you (much like everyone else) gain PTSD from living in the apocalypse

You refuse to attend any therapy with Dr.Feelings

Overtime with the help of your new family, (you not only start seeing them as family; even though they are different from your apocalypse family) you started to go to therapy

Now on to the brighter(?) side!

Leo fucking adore both you and Casey

Ya'll might not be his bio kids in any shape or form

But damn he would go to the moon and back for you two

One time, during family Movie night, you fell asleep on him

Bro broke down into TEARS

He was just so happy that you trusted him enough to go to sleep :(

Don’t Forget Me

Trigger Warning: Grief, Death of a Child, Amnesia

Blinding flashes. A cold breeze. A white wedding dress fluttering out around your legs. It’s what you see and feel when Donnie requests that you try again. To close your eyes and dig deep. To try and recall anything you can. You don’t want to disappoint him, but you just can’t seem to pull any images of him up in your mind. Let alone what happened. You frown, your brow furrowing as you stare up into his reddish-brown eyes. 

“It’s ok.” He sighs. “We can try again tomorrow.” He turns, grabbing a large black coffee mug from the table. 

“I don’t understand why I can’t remember him.” You wrap your arms around your middle, your eyes squinting. “Why can’t I just go to him? Maybe it will jog my memory?”

“I don’t want to risk either of you possibly going further into shock than you already are.” He says softly, his eyes flicking from you to the closed brown door off to his left.

“Does he remember anything? Is he at least ok?” You ask, your gaze also traveling to the door.

 “No, he doesn’t and yes, he’s fine. I work with him every day too. I’ve done extensive research on amnesia over the last week and I’ve yet to come across anything like this.” He shook his head. “You’ve both been through something very traumatic. I can only guess that your minds disassociated from each other, along with the event.”

Your stomach tensed, sending a wave of nausea through you. “And you're absolutely sure that telling me about it, or even about him, might damage me further?” You swallowed. 

“I’m one hundred percent positive it will. Your mind has held on to who you are, and kept your memory of me, Mikey and Raph intact, but shut him behind a steel reinforced door. “ Donnie shrugged. “While I understand it, I don’t really understand it.”

“How long will it take for me to remember him? I don’t think I can stand not knowing much longer!” You slowly stand, your eyes still locked on the brown door. “I may not remember him, but I can feel our connection.”

“It’s not a linear thing. Every case is different. It could be weeks, or it could be months. Even years.” 

You snap your attention to him, your eyes wide. “Years?” You whisper harshly. “I can’t do this for years!” You squeeze your hands into fists. “Donnie? You need to let me see him.” Donnie slowly shook his head. “Donnie?” Your eyes begin to water. 

Donnie sighs. “Look, if either of you haven’t made any progress in two weeks, I will. Deal?”

“Deal!”

The next two weeks were torture. You hated not knowing what happened to you. To him. How could your mind simply erase your other half? How could you remember Donnie and the others, but not him? How could your mind keep certain things the way they were, but then dump the rest? You still trained and fought like a boss, leaving Raph and Mikey with more than a few bruises. Your passion for art and music remained, but the moment you tried to recall his face, there wasn’t anything there except for a blank space. 

After a rather hard training session, you began cleaning your katana, weary of your next session with Donnie. Every time you delved deeper into your mind, you found that it was becoming increasingly harder to recall any sort of memories from before. Even the flashes of your wedding dress were starting to fade. Lost in thought, you carelessly slid your fingers over the blade's edge, slicing into your flesh. “Ah shit!” You quickly pulled your hand away, sucking air through your teeth. 

“Y/N! Are ya ok?!” Raph shouted as he ran towards you. 

You held your right hand up, blood running down your wrist. “I cut myself.”  You pressed your lips together, utterly pissed at yourself. 

“Uh, ya ya did!” Raph’s green eyes widened as he reached for your hand, gently applying pressure at the base of your sliced fingers. “Let’s get ya to Donnie.”

Your eyes followed the trail of blood as it ran down your wrist, then dripped to the floor, your heart rate increasing. Suddenly, you weren’t standing next to Raph anymore. The dojo disappeared altogether. There he was. He was standing next to you. “Leo?” You whispered. Leo. God, how you wanted to sing his name! 

“She’s gone.” He said softly, flames reflected in his eyes. 

You turned your head to see flames. Bright orange and yellow flames. Devouring a two story home. Your heart squeezed. Intense emotions flooding your system. Emily. Her name was… “Emily!”

“Emily!” You shouted, the dojo coming back into focus. “Leo!” You pulled away from Raph, your feet carrying you to the one place you had wanted to be from the start. The brown door. You raised your fists, beating on the outside. “Leo!” After a few seconds, the handle slowly turned and the door opened. 

“Y/N?” Leo reached for you, the fingers on his right hand also bleeding. 

You both stared at each other for what seemed like eternity, your body's shivering. Not from cold, but from grief. Grief of a lost child. You took a deep breath, launching yourself into his arms. His strong arms.

I’m cackling at the idea of the bayverse boys going through the “baby’s first swear” moment 

Since the kiddos live in the sewer and all the turtles don’t seem like the type to swear around their kids (maybe Raph if especially angry) they would prolly end up learning it from Vern or Casey. 

Like just imagine any of the guys chilling with their kids, and then their little toddler son/daughter knocks over their juice cup and they just go “Shit” in their lil innocent kid voice with a grumpy pout, meanwhile their dads have snapped a wide eyed stare to them cuz WHERE did you hear that word?!- 

Obvs Leo would probably be the one who hates swearing the most and would be pretty angry in the moment but how would they all handle the aftermath? Like would they implement something sorta like a swear jar system? Would they just give their kids a warning? Interrogate their family to find out who taught their kid to swear?? The chaos that would follow sounds hilarious!

Bayverse!Turtles x reader

A/N: I am Danish, and in Denmark, cursing is an important part of our culture. No beeping out curse words here! We say the shit fucking proud and fucking loud!🗣🇩🇰 Sure, we tell children that it’s bad, but we don’t care too much. Remember, the Danish versions of TMNT 1987 and 2003 had the turtles cursing. I learned a specific word for retard, because Shredder kept using it on Bebop and Rocksteady😂 But the turtles are American, and that is different, so here you go. Hope you’ll enjoy💚

Leonardo:

Romeo is 10, Marcello is 7, Gerardo is 4.

The children always loved when uncle Vern, uncle Casey and aunt April came to visit in the lair. Other than their mother and aunts, these were the only human connections the kids had.

Funnily enough, the children took a strong liking to Vern, always hanging around him whenever he came to visit, which was way less than Casey and April. But why did the kids like Vern so much? Maybe it was his strong reaction of confusion and slight annoyance when one of them came running, wanting some sort of attention from him. Especially Marcello, who found that if he tugged enough at Vern, the human would start muttering all sorts of strange words under his breath, almost like he was spitting them in the boy's direction.

The other kids took notice of this as well, especially Gerardo who started taking on his older brother’s habit of bugging Vern whenever he was around, just to hear the strange words that he would mumble. Words that Gerardo found absolutely hilarious, and would save in his memory for a lifetime. Because then he learned what those words meant… or sorta.

Vern, Casey and April was once again visiting the lair, coming to eat dinner with the large underground family. In these cases they all ate together in the living area, at a bunch of tables, all lined out in one liner continuation. It was here, in the middle of conversations and laughter, that Gerardo suddenly perked up out of nowhere, in a way that only made sense for a child his age.

“Uncle Vern taught me a word!”, he said proudly to you and Leo, as he suddenly remembered one of the words Vern had said last time he visited, kicking his feet under the table in excitement.

“And what is that word?”, you asked smiling, eyeing Marcello as he poured up a glass of water for Romeo, no indication in the slightest for what was about to come out of your sons mouth.

“Shitling!”, Gerardo yelled out proudly.

Silence fell over all the adults at the table, all while the children kept talking and yapping. You and Leo made wide eyed eye contact, before slowly turning your attention to Vern, who sat frozen with his fork halfway into his mouth.

Needless to say, but from that day, Vern really had to restrain his vocabulary whenever he was around the kids.

Raphael:

Joan is 11, Minerva is 7, Ragnar is 4.

With your husband’s foul mouth, one would not be blamed for believing that Raph had been living his whole life on a ship out in the big open ocean, instead of in the sewers below New York City. It had long gotten Raph into trouble with his own father, often being the reason he would find himself in the hashish. Yet he never seemed to learn from his punishments.

Even as you and Raph got together, his foul mouth would be going. Never because of you, no no, never you. You could never do anything wrong in Raph’s eyes. No, Raph would curse at pretty much anything else. His brothers annoyed him - curse. He was angry and needed to get his frustrations out with a good work out - curse. He accidentally burned himself when cooking - curse. He watched a game and either something good or something bad happened - curse. Raph was in a good mood, and he wanted to let you know just how happy he was - sweet words with curses for emphasis. In order words, cursing was just a part of Raphael’s natural vocabulary.

But when you and Raph started having children, your husband was forced to keep his colorful words for himself, only letting his curses fly when none of them was around, usually when they were in bed. But somehow, even when he kept a careful eye on who was around, your children managed to catch a few of those words.

It was just like any other day in the lair. Your children was playing in the living area, Minerva and Ragnar’s laughter ringing out loud from the couch while Joan watched them from the armchair, making sure that her little brother and little sister wouldn’t accidentally knock each other out in their little play fight. You and Raph sat just a small distance away, seeing your kids jump around, ready to intervene should something happen, when all of a sudden-.

“Asshole!”, Mini yelled out loud, causing her and Ragnar to laugh even louder.

You and Raph sat up straight, eyes wide in shock, not fully able to believe what you had just heard, when Ragnar piped up.

“Fuck face!”, he yelled, making Mini fall over on the couch, holding her stomach in laughter, almost falling off and onto the floor below. Ragnar, continuing the game he and his sister had going, stood up on the couch, his little form looking so adorable as he tried to square up. “Shit maggot!”

For a solid five minutes you and Raph sat in absolute shock, still processing what the two youngest of your angels had just blurted out. That was when Joan turned calmly towards the two of you, shrugging her shoulders.

“If you think this is bad, you should hear them when you’re not around”, she said, before turning her attention back on her siblings’ play fight.

After this you and Raph started keeping a sharp eye on your children’s vocabulary, and started cracking down harder on Raph’s own use of words.

Donatello:

Galileo is 12, Dorothy and Marie are 7.

For a long time, you and Donnie had had problems with Marie’s tendency to suddenly blurt out things. You could be sitting at the dining table with family and friends over, when Marie would all of a sudden turn towards Vern and ask; “why do you look like that?”

Vern would in turn look at Marie a little confused and ask; “look like what?”

“Like that”, Marie said, pointing at his face. “Ugly”.

Casey almost choked on his drink, and even Splinter fought not to smile. And it would have been slightly adorable, if it wasn’t for the fact that she did this quite often.

Marie didn’t say these things to be hurtful, no, she said these things because she was honest and curious. She never thought that the things that she said could be considered mean. She just wanted to know, and just like she had been taught; if you wanted to know something you would have to ask. That was something Donnie had taught her and her siblings, but never had he thought that it would lead to Marie being so blunt. So blunt that sometimes even her siblings were shocked.

But one this was being blunt, asking out of the blue questions that would take people aback, but never had Marie cursed. But that changed fast one day.

You, Donnie and your children were sitting in the kitchen, eating your breakfast together, talking about whatever things families would talk about in the mornings. Dorothy was telling Donnie about her big plans for the day, aka, dress up, while Galileo told you about a new video game he wanted to play soon, when suddenly Marie perked up with a question that had been playing on her mind.

“Dad?”, she asked, leaving the spoon in her cereal.

“Yes, sweetheart. What is it?”, Donnie asked, happy to see that Marie was at least asking permission to ask a question, instead of just blurting it out in the open.

“There’s a word I don’t understand. Do you know it?”

“What word is it?”

“It’s actually more than one word”, Marie said.

“Is that so?”, Donnie asked. “What are they?”

“Shut the fuck up, shit face”, Marie said, looking up to the side, as if she was trying to remember the exact words as she spoke.

You and Donnie were shocked, staring at her with wide eyes. Dorothy was confused, looking back and forth between her parents and her sister. But not Gali. Instead he gasped, looking offended.

“I told you to get out when I was playing that video game!”, he gasped. “You snuck back in?!”

“You didn’t lock the door”, Marie shrugged, continuing to eat her cereal while you and Donnie was still trying to process what just happened.

Michelangelo:

Sunny is 4, Luis is around 1.

Your dear, sweet little bundle of sunshine, Sunny, was at that period of her life, where she would push boundaries, and say all the words she heard around her, just to get a reaction out of her family members, sometimes even yelling instead of actually speaking. She had also recently had her first real temper tantrum, which, thankfully was rare for Sunny, but sadly not the last to come in the next few years.

Sunny had recently taken to asking you or Mikey for food, only to bring it to the couch, and eat and play with it, causing her to spill everywhere, which you and Mikey obviously wasn’t too happy about, causing you and your husband to put in all efforts to get rid of her habit. That even meant that Mikey could no longer bring snacks to the couch, as that would totally undermine all that the two of you had been working for.

But that didn’t stop Sunny from trying, often ending in failure, which resulted in her first temper tantrum, screaming over the fact that she wasn’t allowed to bring her dino nuggets to the couch, but would have to eat them at a table. That didn’t fly by Sunny, what so ever, causing her to scream and cry for two whole hours, making Luis just as fussy by the sound. Oh, it was exhausting.

But that still didn’t stop Sunny from trying. No, in fact it made her attempts more elaborate, sometimes even taking you and Mikey by surprise.

It soon became a matter of principle for Sunny. It was no longer about her getting to eat on the couch, but simply the act of bringing food to the couch without you and Mikey noticing it. Chips from the cupboard, a pizza slice, a handful of popcorn and one time even a frozen chicken. But soon, Sunny came up with what she considered a genius idea - a cup of juice. If she could bring that to the couch, she would have won the battle. And so, Sunny asked you for a cup of juice while sitting at the dining table, drinking half of the cup, before slowly sliding off her chair, making her way toward the living area with her small cup of juice in her hands.

Here Mikey was sitting in the armchair, bottle feeding Luis. That was perfect for Sunny. With her father’s attention grabbed by her baby brother, there was nothing that could stop her. And so, she quickly and silently made her way towards the couch, her half filled juice cup in her hands.

Once at the couch, she placed the cup on the soft couch cushion, letting it whopple when she then began to climb up on the same cushion, when the cup suddenly tumbled over, spilling juice all over the couch. The exact thing her parents didn’t want to happen. And that was when a word graced Sunny’s lips. A word she had never used before, yet she had heard it being spoken around the lair in situations like this.

“Shit”.

That was when she caught the attention of Mikey, who stood from the armchair, still with Luis in his arms, seeing the mess Sunny had made, her small curse still ringing in his ear.

After that day, Sunny was no longer allowed to bring food into the living area, with each curse word he said from that day forward, resulting in a week without dino nuggets.

Why I Don't Write Certain Characters

But hi :) how are you? how you are doing well

this is a bit personal, but would you mind doing either a Headcanon or scenario with reader x turtles (romantic/crush stage) with a…Hopeless reader? Kinda someone who had to tell themselves that love isn’t on their life journey and that seriously bother them? Lol

this weekend I’m gonna attend a friends wedding, while meeting with some shared friends before the wedding, one of them quoted corpse bride’s scene “to Emily, always the bridesmaid, never the bride” for me (most of my friends are married or dating long term), usually I handle the lack of a love life fairly well (by not thinking about it or just making jokes about it lol) but tonight it kinda really bothered me, a lot.) a lot of my friends treat me being single as something I don’t out efforts in it? But holy shit I do, and it really hurts to see them saying or acting like I’m not doing enough? Anyways. I guess the request would be how the turtles would react to a reader who kinda just lost hope, who agrees with the quote even if it makes her very sad? Kinda trying to wing the night lowkey but turtles can sense it hurt her (maybe Vern said the quote lol, or something similar… that’s something stupid enough for the falcon to do 😅)

-Geez. He hadn't felt like this since he was a child. Like he could protect his little brothers or you from judgment or cruelty.

-He couldn't.

-He sucked in a breath through his nose, scrambling for self-control; watching you handle the interaction like an adult. Forcing himself to as well.

-But it did satisfy him to see that Vern physically felt his animosity. The guy took once glance at Leo before he instantly stuttered an excuse to walk to another conversation.

-"Vern is an idiot." Leo scratched out, desperate to keep what he really wanted to say to you at a minimum. "There's absolutely nothing wrong with you."

-You seemed surprised at that, glancing up at him. But your quite, sincere smile made it it worth it.

- "Always the brides maid, never the bride, huh?"

- "What?" It was a reactive response. Before you could even register what he had said, or the sudden amount of hurt- or embarrassment you felt.

- Raph had turned wide, expectant eyes on Vern as well, something Vern noticed instantly.

- "Well, yunno." Vern stutteres, trying to stay focused on you. "I've seen ya at these events a lot but you never bring a guy around...or-"

-"See that girl over there?" Raph suddenly said, leaning down a little to point your gaze in the right direction.

- "Yeah." You said quietly.

-"Who's that girl, Vern?"

-Vern looked back at you guys, shrugging and putting his hands back in his pockets with an air of pride. "She's my girlfriend."

-Raph smirked, his voice somehow both condescending and unusually soft. "Vern met her a week ago. That makes her..." Raph trailed off, looming back into his full height, towering over Vern. "The sixth one this year, right. Makin' you real good at givin' advice to pretty girls, Falcon boy. Careful with that."

-"Jesus. I'm just- I'll be over there." Vern sighed, awkwardly stepping aside then walking out of sight.

- Raph said nothing, instead turning to you. "You alright?"

-You were desperate not to say everything you wanted to. "Much better." You said instead, looking up at him. Hoping the softness you saw there was a reflection of what you felt for him too.

Donnie

- Donnie couldn't even react or register the words before you were handling it. Shrugging and waving Vern off.

-He was horrified. His eyes were glued to Vern, completely confused that the guy had missed how rude of a statement that was.

-The conversation came and went, and while he had a wonderful time, he was entirety focused on you.

-While you didn't seem MISERABLE, you were different. Something had obviously changed. And it was Verns fault.

-You had no reason to feel pressure of that kind. You were perfect the way you were! No one should ever, ever, ever make you feel anything less.

-The thought that you did made him physically sick to his stomach.

-He might not have caught it in time to say anything in the moment.

-But Verns apartment locks, car, computer, and bathroom pipes all giving him a hard time all in the next 24 hours?

-"Yeah you should listen to him." Mikey said.

-"You should listen to him." Mikey repeated, noding solumley, starting to confidently strole around Vern. "This guy has fantastic dating advise. You don't even know, girl. Look at him!" Mikey's smile was as bright as the sun, gesturing to Vern as if he was a plater he was showing off to you.

-"He's been on this earth so long, his life experience exceeds our very comprehension, girl."

You gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl, she had a lot of turtle-like features with some human aspects blended into her body

Her name, Athena; and who better to name your child after than the goddess of war herself

Raph was considering naming her in honour of Karai but didn’t want to place that pressure on her

From day one you two were the ultimate parenting duo

And you best believe Raph helped with everything, this man is pure husband material and will cater to your every need

During the Krang war things got bad

Everything was going moderately ok and you had managed to somewhat raise Athena while battling against a nuclear alien threat

That was until Raph’s passing

It was a heartbreaking day for everyone but especially you

Knowing you would have to be a single mother, explain to your daughter why her father was gone

It didn’t feel real

Athena would grow up with you as an incredible mother

The rest of the group assisted in raising both her and Casey

They grew up together, trained by Leo with free schooling from their knowledgeable uncle Donnie

Sooo...there was no specific version and I went with my original favorite. I also put my own spin on how readers brother isn't around anymore. I really actually love writing for TMNT often and would love more requests for it🙏😭

The chilly night air in New York City was crisp, carrying the faint scent of grass as the turtles and their new little sibling wandered through Central Park. The city’s noise was distant, muffled by the trees and the soft rustling of leaves. The young reader, barely 8 years old, trailed slightly ahead, their small hands gathering fallen flowers and weaving them together.

“Are you sure it’s safe to be out here?” Leo asked, glancing over his shoulder for any signs of trouble.

“It’s Central Park at night, Leo,” Raph said, rolling his eyes. “Nothing here’s scarier than us.”

“Speak for yourself,” Mikey chimed in, crouching down to inspect a dandelion. “This flower is terrifyingly cute. Hey, can I eat it?”

“No!” the reader exclaimed, clutching their collection protectively. “I’m making crowns. Don’t eat my flowers!”

Splinter, standing nearby with his staff, chuckled softly. “Michelangelo, perhaps you should leave the flowers for more noble purposes than your stomach.”

The turtles laughed, and the young reader smiled, plopping down on the grass to start weaving their floral masterpieces. They hummed softly, the melody delicate and comforting.

“What’s that song, kiddo?” Donnie asked, sitting cross-legged beside them, his bo staff resting on his shoulder.

“It’s a lullaby,” the reader replied, their fingers deftly working the stems together. “My brother taught it to me before he—” They paused, their voice trailing off. The turtles exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between them.

“Well, it’s really pretty,” Mikey said quickly, flopping down beside them. “Bet it’s even cooler when you sing it out loud!”

The reader hesitated but, encouraged by Mikey’s grin, began to sing softly. Their voice was light and sweet, filling the quiet park with warmth. Even Raph, who usually teased, leaned against a nearby tree, listening quietly.

Splinter stepped closer, his heart aching for the child who had wandered the streets alone until they had found them. He placed a gentle hand on their shoulder, and they looked up at him with a shy smile.

“You are very talented,” he said warmly. “Your brother would be proud.”

“Thanks,” they murmured, focusing back on their crown. When it was finished, they stood up and placed it on Leo’s head. “Now you’re a king!”

Leo blinked, his serious demeanor faltering as his brothers burst into laughter. “Uh, thanks?”

The reader giggled, quickly making another crown and placing it on Splinter’s head. “And you’re the sensei king!”

Splinter bowed slightly. “It is an honor.”

One by one, the turtles received their own flower crowns, each reacting in their unique way—Mikey posing dramatically, Donnie adjusting his to sit just right, Raph grumbling but secretly liking it.

The night went on with laughter and warmth, a rare moment of peace for the group. As the reader settled down in Splinter’s lap, their small voice sang the lullaby again, quieter this time. The turtles surrounded them, a protective circle, their family bond stronger than ever.

For the first time in a long while, the reader felt safe.

A/N: I have decided to give you guys part two already, hehehehehe. Now it’s time for your side of that fateful encounter hehehe. Nothing super detailed or super important, by ay, part 2 it is.

Leo is 25, reader is 22 - 23.

When (Y/N) woke up that day, nothing could have told her about the things to come. Not a cloud in the sky or smell in the air. No beeping alarms or sirens up above. Nothing. Nothing but good weather, blue skies and singing birds, along with the usual sounds of the bussy city. It just seemed like a normal day off, and (Y/N) had every intention of enjoying that day.

(Y/N) woke up with a big stretch, before making her way to the closet to get dressed, all while ignoring the early morning texts from her needy and possibly drunk ex boyfriend. With that she went to the kitchen, so she could make herself breakfast, planning out her day in her head. As stated before, the weather was great. A warm day in the middle of summer. It was as if the day was made for her to have a day off. So why not use this amazing weather as a reason for going downtown and do some shopping. Listen to some music, look at some clothes, geek out at her favorite nerd shop, and just see what caught her eyes. Sounded like a plan. A perfect plan actually. Maybe even grab some food on the way home. Only time would tell.

With that plan in mind she cleaned up after herself, before venturing out of her apartment and down to the metro, taking the first train towards centrum. With her headphones covering her ears, (Y/N) kept bobbing her head to the music, keeping an eye on the station names above her head. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a boy jumping in his seat, playing with his new Mutant Mayhem figures, telling his mother what they were doing and mimicking sound effects, all while she nodded along, not really sure what any of the words he said meant.

(Y/N) smiled at the sight, remembering the days she got TMNT action figures for Christmas. She had had all four turtles, all from different episodes of the 2003 series. Mikey dressed in dinosaur skulls, from the episode where they were stranded in the dino area. Raph in a big red foot clan robot. It could even shoot small plastic projectiles. That had been an annoyance for her parents, as they never knew when they would be shot by an angry toy turtle. A cyborg Donnie with tubings and all sorts of robotic gear and a grappling hook. And Leo, in his natural katana holding stance. That one action figure didn’t come with much, but that didn’t matter to (Y/N). Leo had always been her favorite turtle, so having an action figure of him with just his two katanas and nothing more, didn’t diminish him in her mind. To (Y/N), the blue wearing ninja turtle stood for everything she wanted to be as a child. A leader, a role model, a savior, the good person that always did what was right. It wasn’t until (Y/N) got older, that she realized what else he stood for. He was anxious and worried for his family’s protection, just like she worried about her siblings, both now and growing up. The leading turtle struggled in every single version of himself. His mental state, his own insecurities about his strengths and weaknesses, and the thought of not being good enough. Those topics was only getting scarily more relatable to (Y/N) as she got older. Now (Y/N) was a newly single woman in her 20’s with an apartment of her own, and now they were more relatable to her than ever.

It didn’t take long before (Y/N) got to her station. She went up the stairs from the underground station, before making it to the big shopping streets. With music booming in her ears, she went into one store after another, seeing if there was any clothing. And behold… nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nothing really caught her interest, and the few things that did was not in her size.

(Y/N) huffed, slightly annoyed, before leaving and going to the next store. It was the same story all over again, again and again, until she came to her crown jewel. That comic book store that had everything a small geek like her could think of; Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, DC, Marvel and Avatar. They even had H.P. Lovecraft, and her childhood favorites such as Tintin and Asterix & Obelix. And of course Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. On the shelfs between Avatar and Star Wars stood the TMNT comic books. (Y/N) found herself over there in no time, looking through one after the other. For a long time she had been thinking about buying the second big collection of the TMNT IDW comics. She often found herself flipping through it while standing in the store, but always putting it back on the shelf when she saw the price. As much as she loved TMNT, that price seemed to surprise her everytime, even though it was the same everytime she came to look at it. Well, she had already bought the first collection after several days of looking at it. It was good, she wasn’t going to lie about that. (Y/N) loved the idea of her favorite turtles having a human past life, and she was stocked for the rest of the IDW series. But the amount of money tho…

After standing there for some time, (Y/N) decided it wasn’t the day to spend money. Maybe she should just go home and watch some movies. Batman VS Ninja Turtles maybe? Rise of TMNT? Maybe even Turtles forever? No, she decided on the bayverse movies.

(Y/N) left the store as a new song started playing in her headphones, causing her to once again bobbing her head to the music. As she was walking back towards the metro, it was as if a strong wind came down the street towards her, making everyone stubble in its way. (Y/N) felt it as the strong vibration made a stubble backwards. She managed to catch herself, slightly confused at what just happened. And as she wondered, it happened again. A hard and fast vibration, causing her to fall this time around. And just as she landed on the ground it was gone as quickly as it came. People mumbled in confusion. A slight earthquake? Just a hard sudden wind? Who knew, but whatever it was, it seemed to be over. That was at least what (Y/N) thought, but in reality, it should have been the first of her warnings for things to come. Nonetheless, (Y/N) wanted to go home. The food at home suddenly seemed way more appealing.

On her way home, (Y/N) heard people talk about what just had happened. Should we be concerned? Probably not, there is most likely a reasonable explanation behind it. Nothing worth bothering over. And with that though in mind, (Y/N) went back to listening to the song that was playing in her ears.

(Y/N) once again left the underground metro station, walking towards her street. She opened the door to the stairwell, before making her way up the steps to her apartment. As she came to her front door, she turned off her headphones before unlucky the doors with her keys. As she got through the door, she was still humming the song that just had been playing. Closing the door and leaving her headphones and keys on the table at the entrance, she went to take her shoes off. At that very moment, (Y/N) was just thinking about what food to eat while watching the bayverse movies. She should probably check the fridge to see what she had to work with. And with that she walked down the hallway towards her kitchen, only to stop dead in her tracks. In her kitchen stood a well over 6 foot tall green muscular terrapin, wearing his signature blow mask, trousers and boots and his two katanas on the back of his shell. (Y/N) was in shock, staring at the terrorfied mutant. (Y/N) did not know how long she had been staring at him before he broke the silence.

“Don’t freak out!” He held his green three fingered hands up in front of him, as if he was trying to keep her at bay. (Y/N) didn’t really register any of his words. All she could do was stare at him, even as he continued talking about her knowledge. “I- I know it looks weird, b- but I can explain-”.

That was when it finally clicked in (Y/N)’s head, as if she suddenly realized what she was looking at. “You’re in my house”. Was she talking to him? Nope. She didn’t even know if he was real, yet that thought hadn't even crossed her mind yet.

“I know, and I’m sorry! I don’t know how I got here-”.

She didn’t register a word he said. As she finally said the words in her head, they came through her mouth; “Leonardo is in my house”. The turtle was taken aback, seeming as shocked as her, mouth open but no words coming out. She repeated the words, as if her brain was still trying to catch up. “The Leonardo is in my house”.
