Ruby Rose: OHA Slayers
Here is the info for her equipment:
Red Cape
Ruby’s cape
In memory of her mother, who wore a white cape
It is made of a fire-resistant material
I was going to give the cape a name (lol), but I feel I might spoil her hero name
Rosibara, the Retractable Capture Rope Harness (RCRH)
The harness has a red container 9 inch in diameter that carries a reel of rope.
The rope is half an inch in diameter, but it’s incredibly resilient, possibly made by a similar material of Aizawa’s Capture Scarf
That little needle looking thing is part of the rope. Ruby can pull the rope out and it reels back in.
Rozuiro, the Tinted Multi-Featured Goggles (TMFG)
A favorite of Ruby’s
The goggles are almost always on her person, regardless of what she is wearing except for sleeping.
As with many of her inventions, she made the goggles from parts she found in a nearby scrapyard.
The black strap is made of elastic material.
There are switches on either side of the goggles: one controls the optical zoom feature, the other turns on certain functions.
The little black boxes with the switches contains the tech that controls the functions.
As I said, has an optical zoom feature.
Not shown yet, but Ruby has added a night vision feature during the two weeks of training.
It got damaged during Ruby’s fight with Bakugo, but Power Loader repaired it, making it more durable.
She is still thinking about how to add other functions to her goggles.
Crescent Rose, the High Caliber Sniper Scythe (HCSS)
Her pride and joy
After some debating, I decided to give Ruby her signature weapon.
She built it when she attended Shingo Middle School
It does have the sniper feature, a recent development
It uses non-lethal bullets for incapacitation.

Total And MOL Charter First LNG Bunker Vessel To Operate In France
Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions (TMFGS) and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) have signed a long-term charter contract for a second large LNG bunker vessel, to be delivered in 2021.
She will be positioned in the Marseille-Fos area in France. This bunker vessel will be built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China. She will have a capacity of 18,600 m³ for a length of about 135 meters and will be fitted with the Mark III membrane containment system provided by French company GTT.
This vessel has been specifically designed to supply LNG bunker in the Mediterranean area to a wide range of vessels, including containerships, tankers, ferries and large cruise ships.

She will meet the highest technical and environmental standards, using herself LNG as propulsion fuel and integrating a complete re-liquefaction of the boil-off gas. The newbuild vessel will be operated under French flag by MOL, jointly with Gazocean, a pioneering company based in Marseille and one of the most experienced in LNG transportation.
Jérôme Leprince-Ringuet, Managing Director of TMFGS, declared: “ We are proud to launch with MOL the first large LNG bunkering vessel in France. LNG is the best available alternative to reduce shipping environmental footprint, as it significantly improves air quality and strongly contributes to greenhouse gas reduction. With this agreement, we reaffirm today our positive contribution to a sustainable shipping industry and our commitment to offering our customers a comprehensive network of supply for this clean marine fuel.”
Kenta Matsuzaka, MOL Managing Executive Officer, said: “This is the second LNG bunker vessel for Total, and we are extremely honored that the company has selected us as a partner. We believe this project will further solidify our relationship. In recent years, the role of LNG has changed enormously. LNG of course, serves as a clean energy source, and we expect to see wider use for it as a vessel fuel, so we anticipate significant growth in the future. At MOL, we take a proactive stance in the LNG fuel business and will contribute to achieving global UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through this project.” This agreement follows the launching of Total’s first LNG bunker vessel last month in Shanghai, which will supply LNG bunker to CMA CGM 23,000 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) containerships in Northern Europe.
LNG, as a marine fuel
The LNG bunker vessel’s construction is in line with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) decision to drastically limit the sulfur content of marine fuels as of 2020. In this context, the transition from heavy fuel oil to LNG is a competitive, efficient and immediately available solution for maritime transportation. Used as a marine fuel, LNG sharply reduces emissions from ships, resulting in a significant improvement in air quality, particularly for communities in coastal areas and port cities.
LNG helps to cut:
Sulfur emissions by 99%,
Fine particle emissions by 99%,
Nitrogen oxide emissions by 85%, Greenhouse gases emissions by around 20%.
Total, Second-Largest Private Global LNG Player
Total is the second-largest private global LNG player, with an overall portfolio of around 40 million tons per year by 2020 and a global market share of 10%. With 22 million tons of LNG sold in 2018, the Group has solid, diversified positions across the LNG value chain. Through its stakes in liquefaction plants in Qatar, Nigeria, Russia, Norway, Oman, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Australia and Angola, Total sells LNG in markets worldwide.

Labour rights in Seafood Industry in Thailand
Thailand has over 2mil migrant workers with 80% of those coming from Myanmar. In the fishing industry, the largest group affected by slavery in the seafood industry are people from Myanmar. Sompong Srakaew founded the Labour Rights Promotion Network (LPN) in 2006 because of the injustices he saw in the treatment of migrant workers in Thailand’s seafood processing industry. Sompong began working on migrant worker issues as early as the 1990s, after graduating with a degree in social work.
LPN’s ultimate goal is to empower workers and their communities and improve working conditions across the seafood-processing sector. LPN is actively establishing partnerships with the private sector in and around Samut Sakhon province to promote greater supply chain transparency and foster improved working conditions. The organization’s “Worker Voice Program” raises awareness about labour rights among Thai and migrant workers. LPN is also developing The Fishermen Centre Prototype to address the root cause of human trafficking and IUU fishing in Southeast Asia’s fishing sector. MAST's immediate goals include the establishment of fishermen drop-in centres at major ports where fishing workers can receive direct assistance (legal aid, health services, food & shelter), access information about their rights, and organize into their own volunteer networks. LPN has the vision to expand to 22 coastal provinces.
LPN, MAST (Multi-stakeholder Initiative for Accountable Supply Chain of Thai Fisheries), and Chicago-Kent College of Law are also developing the “Digital Intake @ Fishermen Centre” to set the prototype of an official grievance mechanism for more convenience and the best benefit for fishermen. Working with MAST, Chicago-Kent, and TMFG (Thai and Migrant Fishers Union Group), the plan is to use this new approach to develop the drop-in centre into a real “Fishermen Centre” for the digital era.
