I don’t think I’ll be able to actually finish this before the end of the month because the brain worms refuse it
BUT!!!
Sketchy gays at their probably-healthiest stages with the most generic relationship-representing pride hearts behind them (I had as much energy to figure out my gender/sexuality headcanons here as I did finishing the thing I gotta be honest)

I know in fanart everyone always depicts Eyepocalypse-Daisy as a werewolf sort of thing, but I've always thought the idea of her being still physically human (as much as anyone can be when an avatar) throughout the whole thing infinitely more unsettling and HEAR ME OUT.
The Hunt with which Daisy is affiliated was never a fear of the physicality of the predator itself, but the way in which it pursues and kills. Not the sight of the claws themselves but the fact that they extend towards you, etc etc. That unwavering persistence and senseless, but uncontrollable, cruelty we see in her in S5, mixed with her obvious humanity seen in how she calls out to Basira, when the others find her is so much more horrifying when you imagine her exactly as she was physically before.
This is especially the case when you imagine things from Basira's perspective.
Imagine, you've worked with a partner for years, supported each other (so much so as to indulge each other's harmful behaviour and abuse of power). You do your best to ignore the terrible things she does in the name of justice, even when it becomes woefully apparent that this is spurred on by an actual fear god feeding on her actions. You watch her try to resist it, then fail to do so in order to protect you and the others around you.
The world goes to capital-H-Hell, and you spend all your days looking for her to fulfill your promise to kill her.
It is the least you can do, after all.
It was the last thing she ever asked of you.
You expect that there will be nothing left of the woman you knew when it comes to it, that it will be an inhuman husk with no memories of you or anything other than The Hunt. But then you find her, and she's still her. Bloody and bestial, yes, but unmistakably her. And worst of all, your prick of a friend (love you Jon) just ealirer let you know that she is perfectly content. She is happy like this, and most harrowing of all, she recognises you. She wants you to join her.
And you realise that her request to kill her was not, will never be, the last thing she ever asked of you.
She extends a hand towards you, and it is the same hand you held before The Change.
And you kill her. Not a creature that was once her, just her. There is no heroism in it, only a partner lost.
Still, nevertheless I love werewolf-Daisy too.
(Equally, the idea of a grown human woman gnawing on someones leg is kind of hilarious, or Floridian, but I digress.)

You ever think of how Martin defeated Peter with the power of low self-esteem? Peter told him that he was the Hero and Martin thought to himself "He must be lying", because he didn't believe that he could ever be the hero in anyone's story.
You ever think of how the exact opposite happened with Jon because he believed Elias? He believed if he did everything by himself then he could save others from harm, but his actions led to situations that hurt every single person he loved.
Ever think of how Martin is the hero of Jon's story. How Martin inadvertently saves him over and over again just by being....himself. His clumsy, determined and brave self. It's how he doesn't save Jon in the traditional sense, he just reminds him to be human.
Ever think of how Martin ends up the hero of TMA in general because he could sacrifice the person he loved the most to save the world.
It's the contrast between The Hero and the Ordinary Man. The Saviour and The Monster.
A repeat of Basira and Daisy's story. Daisy thought she was the hero killing all the monsters to protect Basira. Until she found the monster in the mirror. The monster staring at the end of Basira's gun, staring at The Hero who had tears running down her face.
This isn't an "I love TMA" thing.
This is an "I wonder if Martin ever realised how amazing he was" thing.
Everyone talks about how Martin was proven right with Peter only using him to get to Elias, but did Martin even take note of when he was proven wrong?
Did he ever realise how incredibly hard it is to do the right thing? That he did it anyway, giving up the one good thing he had left, for the sake of so many others. Even if he expected to die with Jon, did Martin ever realise that he was an amazing hero?

TMA in a Rage Room
Tim: Showing off tricks until the Emotions hit and then he's going to town. Sasha: Smashes a few things, but is mostly providing printouts of ugly photos of people her colleagues don't like or are pissed at to tape onto smashable items. Jon: Complains the entire time on the way there, and while he doesn't smash as much as he needs to, he ends up sitting on the way back silently shaking like an overstimulated chihuahua that will bite someone. Melanie: Her idea, she is smashing the fuck out of shit and having a great day. Basira: Provides snacks, tissues and other supplies because she knows her colleagues are a goddamn mess, secretly plans to go back with Daisy tonight so she can get her own temper out. Daisy: Almost gets banned because she runs out of stuff and starts going for the drywall. Martin: Thinks he's going to be the Basira of the group, has an absolute meltdown that results in his room absolutely demolished and him sobbing in the middle. The damage should get him a ban but the rage room staff feel too bad to actually do it. Elias: Uninvited, goes anyway on his own without anyone noticing. Staff only realize he's there when a mild-mannered gentleman is wiping oil and *is that blood* off his gloves, leaving a *completely* unrecognizable room. Was so quiet that they just presumed the smashing was coming from another room.

Gotta love those characters who fall for the individuals doomed by the narrative and stay by their side even when things get worse and everyone else leaves. Gotta love when they love them unconditionally throughout the entire story until their lover finally meets their long-foretold end by their own hands. Gotta love when they did so by their lover’s request, and that’s the only reason why they could. Gotta love that.
