I'm rewatching tlovm s3e7 and right after Ripley and her dad say "The Assembly, they're, they're not really gonna-"
"The mines they're seizing them, go quickly!" at 0:59 an offscreen voice shouts "MAGES!!!!" and I'm like 99.99% sure it's Liam which is very funny to me.

hey so are we thinking the person who’s giving the order to kill Anna’s village is Trent or what?

I'm going to let the season end before I go into any in-depth reviews of its episodes but....I'm sorry. So far, while they did some really cool, even incredible things, The Legend of Vox Machina's Cloak and Dagger and Thordak's Throne lose by a very wide mile to how things went down in the stream.
There's absolutely no question of that for me.

the sad thing about 'It's not how it's supposed to end' song in s3e7 of TLOVM is that I want to love it ironically. I think it's so bafflingly badly written, and so jarring tonally. The lyrics 'She ran to him, and HE WAS GONE' is so fucking funny man.
But I can't meme it. Because it's a bad song in a bad show. Every time I think about it, it sucks. I just think about the shot of RIpley sailing away, how the group kill was taken away to focus in on the romance. How Keyleth, Vax and Grog just stand there like :( in the background, how it doesn't compare at all to the campaign's emotion and that's just seven people round a table, man. This is animation and they just went for the most boring way to do Percy's death and then slapped a stupid song over the top.
It needed to be a bad song in a good show for me to love it. It's just a bad song in a bad show. So I can't even meme it, and that's just tragic really.

My thoughts on TLoVM S3E7-9 (major spoilers below):
ehem
HUH?
WHAT THE FUCK??
WHAT DO YOU MEAN PERCY IS DEAD???
I know he gets killed there in the campaign but he was RESURRECTED
so whAT THE *FUCK* IS GOING ON???
also WHY IS KASH DEAD???
AND WHY IS SCANLAN COMATOSE (okay I know it's so they can properly do Bard's Lament in a setting where resurrection is much rarer than it was in the campaign BUT STILL)
anyway my head hurts and my heart hurts and I want to throw up, 10/10 these episodes ruled

TLOVM S3E7 in the German dub
In the beginning, young Anna only says "the Assembly" but in the German dub it's "die Cerberus-Versammlung" (cerberus assembly). So, the translator must have been provided with some background info to make that decision. Very helpful 👍
When Percy finds the clue for Ripley's location, he says "I may have a theory", but in German he says "Mir schwant da leider Übles." (Unfortunately, I sense something evil.) This is a more negative way to put it. (Also, schwanen is pretty complicated to translate back into English)
Grog's "Roadtrip!" is "Klassenfahrt!" (School trip), which is hilarious because he's never seen the inside of a school 😂 (Ausflug would have been great, because they're actually... flying)
The "I'm - Disarmed" thing doesn't work. Vex only says "ich" (I), and Vax says "Entschärft" (disarmed) because well he did disarm a trap, but that doesn't have the same double meaning in German. So, Vax basically just interrupts her.
Oh, now Cabal's Ruin is translated as Cabals Verderben. When we first come across it, the translation is Cabals Ruine (which is wrong, so yay good on them for changing that! The deadlines must be quite short if there's no time to go back and change the earlier mistakes)
When Pike sees Zerxus in a vision, he says "The gods promise honey and wine", which becomes "Die Götter versprechen das Blaue vom Himmel" which is a great example of translating figures of speech with a good equivalent from the other language (The gods promise the blue out of the sky)
And again, good job with the song. That's definitely something I would really struggle with.

The Vex and Percy foreshadowing for the "I should have told you, it's yours" moment is really hurting me right now and I do not appreciate it! I am enjoying the "Percy bathed in the light of the setting sun while Vex backs into the shadows" visual language though, this show is beautifully drawn.
