You also forget that some stuff gets unofficial release by premiering at film festivals. Like ADM isn’t out yet, but some people were able to see it already. Same with TLFM (at TIFF in 2018). Other projects too (too lazy to write them all down). So Sebastian is always employed and always busy.

Really count less with movies like tlfm where the gap between festival premiere and theatre release was this huge.

Adm it’s a different story.

list Bronze and TLFM as examples of smth decent lmaaaaaao, embarrassing / The Bronze went to Sundance and is actually a well-received, funny film full of comic geniuses. TLFM was a well made film comprised of legends like Christopher Plummer and Samuel L. Jackson. What’s embarrassing is how hard you go to bat for someone who is as useless as a human appendix.

So in a scene in TLFM Bradley Whitford’s character mentions having a squash game later to Seb, but they never show it.

Anyway, I just scrolled through Seb’s IG to see those cute pics he posted from the set (filming began in March according to wiki) and low and behold what was posted on March 29th:

So does this mean that they asked him to play squash in the scene, he tried it out, came back and said that probably wouldn’t look good, so they rewrote it to be basketball?!?

Filming recently wrapped on the fourth production in a year at Silver Comet Field as the new film "The Last Full Measure" was shot at the airport earlier this month.

The film used a variety of locations at the airport, including the tarmac, a hillside area for a target practice range, and the airport's new corporate hangar as a base of operations for the crew. It also reportedly is filming in Costa Rica.

Minnie, I will never ever stop shipping EvanStan as long as there's something that always reminding me of the two. Not sure if you have IG, but a Seb fan account "styleofstan" posted a pic of Seb wearing a Ralph Lauren navy blue knit sweater in a scene from TLFM. Which is THE SAME EXACT sweater Chris wore during the OG Avengers handprint ceremony in LA. I'm not sure if I should post side by side pic or not. But what a coincidence🤔even though filming from TLFM took place a couple of years ago!

Ooohh, interesting! I hadn’t seen that before but I just looked it up and yeah, it really does seem to be the same sweater!! 😊 Beautiful boys in blue, sharing clothes once again 💙

Those proposal stories all line up though for the most part. I think he was just trying to make it sound better than it was for the initial announcement and then the actual “quirky” details came out.The only weird thing is he wanted to marry her before meeting her family because we know in December 2016 that’s when he went to New York to get the ring for her, but I mean, I feel like not meeting family is becoming more normalized, plus Grant seems Anti social anyway. He barely sees his own family

Of course they kind of line up, he had a basic 'we got engaged on the beach' story to work with. The devil is in the details though and that's where Grant fucked up.

1. He got put on the spot and couldn't remember what day they got engaged. His reason for forgetting? Because one day he would have a wedding date to remember and who could possibly keep up with all those dates? That’s a bullshit excuse but we’re sure it was all he could come up with. Him saying he didn’t remember because he didn’t care to remember just doesn’t sound as nice, does it?

2. He claimed that the filming for TLFM kept getting pushed back over and over and as we know it did...however at that point that wasn't the case. In fact, when they got engaged they weren't even supposed to be filming the original Costa Rica scenes yet.

3. Grant was so neurotic about the HUGE diamond ring that he was going to propose with that he tossed it in a gym bag and forgot it was there. Sounds about right. 🙄🙄 We will forever call bullshit on that one.

4. The original story that was provided to the media by a source close to the couple (AKA his manager) said they were working out and she turned to find him on one knee. The story he told to Conan basically debunked the first one. Which isn't that big deal but they chose to share conflicting information which is just stupid. Speaking of conflicting info, he said in the Riker interview that LA was so shocked by how big the diamond was that she thought it was fake and he was joking. However, in the podcast they did with Anna he said that they talked about marriage and he got the ring that LA wanted. So if they talked about it and she essentially already picked the ring out and they went to Ohio so he could ask her parent's permission why exactly was she so shocked and in disbelief by something that she knew was coming exactly the way she wanted it? It doesn't add up.

In a nutshell the basic story remained the same but the details were inconsistent. So basically he was re-telling a story that he couldn't really remember as opposed to recalling a specific event. An event, mind you, that was supposed to be very special to them. He padded his engagement story to make it sound special but anytime it got questioned or something was pointed out as being a little weird he would change it up in the next story. The reality of the situation is more than likely he rushed into an engagement to put something out there that would pull focus from the fact that he got dropped from that movie. It wasn’t special or memorable or probably even genuine because it didn’t have to be. She just needed a big gaudy ring to flash on Instagram.

This part in TLFM got to me first. Just tears from here to the end of the film. It touched me the most. Yeah, before this scene my eyes were misty, but this part was so beautiful in its own way that got the water works flowing.

ah yes, just like most of Sebastian's projects 🥰 someone remember tlfm struggling for 3 whole years to find a distributor? Monday? where is a different man? 🥱 / wut? TLFM was struggling WAY before they cast Sebastian. He got cast and they started filming pretty much right away and it didn’t take long to get released either. Monday had a scheduled premiere at tribeca film fest in 2020 but because of Covid it got cancelled. They still had a screening at berlinale in 2019 tho. In the meantime however he was filming another project (TFATWS) and was busy with promotion for other (EB, they got a TIFF premiere!). And ADM just filmed last year. When it gets stuck in a post prod abyss for a few years, then we’ll talk. Tho the movie already gets the hype and articles generated oscar buzz. The same can’t be said about ya girl now, can it?!

I feel like the more troubled/complex the character is the more sebastian is better at playing it. I mean look at kings and political animals, destroyer, itonya and dare i say the bronze(yes the movie was not good but he played his role perfectly). Compare that to his character in the TLFM which was badly written, completely void and had no emotional depth or story background. A main character that was simply there to navigate us through the film. Sebastian does his best when he's tested

I agree, he seems to really be drawn to those type of roles and I think he enjoys exploring that dark side

Just watched TLFM and I tried to be respectful as it’s based on a true story and watch it without the usual boredom that comes with a Seb movie.. the script was alright? Sebastian had some good moments, his facials expressions (you know when you’ll see them) are pretty on point. If I’m not mistaken, I think some ex-military acted in the movie?? Again I may be mistaken. Hope you enjoy it!

it’s frustrating because, like...the source material is interesting? the basic premise is really interesting? i don’t understand how they ended up with such an extraordinarily boring movie with such good material to work with, but it’s really aggravating. i kind of want to write fic about it? like about huffman’s relationship with his wife and son, and what his job means to him, and what he would consider a sacrifice at the beginning of the film and how that changes over time, and also stuff about his dad because, even though that little aside felt SO INAPPROPRIATE in the context of the conversation he was having, it was also the most interesting and grounding character detail we got.

on a separate note, i think seb is an actor who Does A Lot, and that is incredible because he is so brave and out there, and he will take it as far as he can, but he needs a director who knows how to wrangle him. he can give the performance at 100%, top to bottom, and then he needs someone to give him notes and tell him when to reel it in and when to go over the top. i don’t think this director handled him very well. he felt kind of like a cartoon villain at times in the beginning, and i did not like that!!
