#tldr: changelings in their troll form get affected by the sun just like other trolls it just takes less time to consume them

So in order to figure out how sun affects changelings in their troll forms I watched the scene in the last gif 1293109231 times, even watched it frame by frame and was able to spot

Strickler’s wing starts turning to stone while he’s flying in the sun! That glimpse of blue just before he changes in the left of the screen (his right wing) is his troll form getting burned!  A better person could probably get a screen shot as proof (I am unfortunately not that person, as I lack the patience to go through that process ^^’’ )

So to me this says:

A) Changelings take less time to turn to stone when in sunlight (compared to when they cut back to the Gumm-Gumms chasing them the Troll’s transformation to stone is INSTANT) B) Walter Strickler risked turning to stone if it meant getting Barbara out of there faster C) Because of the sun Strickler honestly didn’t have to fly out of there they could have run out - the dramatist. Then again it is a way to get away faster, and the Gumm-Gumm’s could launch those spears at them again D) The next time we see Strickler in his troll form he doesn’t seem to have carried the sun damage over SO: changing back to human form = removal of damage?
