How did luchino and Joseph first meet Reader and when did they (separately) realize they fancied reader? I can just imagine reader at first having an amazed look on their face when they first see luchi cause hes unique, but the more they see and know him they develop a softer side for him compared to the other hunters where reader wants to talk & hang. Joseph, it’s easy to like him, but to understand and vibe with him in another. And I think itd be interesting to see their both of their sides 💚

Luchino

He definitely had eyes for you first.

He was your hunter in one match, and you were the only one to escape to the surprise of many, but only by a hair.

He jumped over the exit gate, got ready to Lethal Crash and then just. Didn’t.

You looked up at him and he was immediately captivated, because you looked at him with intrigue rather than fear.

Luchino’s first thought was “godDAMN they’re cute.” but them realized he was kind of mid attack and like 6 meters above you,,

He dropped down beside you immediately, cleared his throat, and motioned for you to leave while shyly looking at his claws.

He, by absolutely no circumstances, expected you to actually be interested in him but baddabing baddaboom. We monster fuckers in this house.

Since then he would spare only you every match, giving you a half smile and a wave every time you two crossed paths. Eventually he got a little fed up of waiting until matches and came to see you at the survivor’s side.

He wanted to know why you weren’t scared of him. He also didn’t expect “you look too cute to be scary” as a response.

“We’re all a little different. Just because you have scales doesn’t mean you’re any different from me.” you’d say, looking him in the eyes as you do.

Luchino.exe has stopped working. Oh god. Oh fuck. He’s in love.

Backs the fuck out of there without a word. Hastur is the only one who knows about his crush. No one else must know.

Joseph

Met you during dinner rather than a match when you first joined. He knows what he wants and he knows how to get it.

And what he wanted was a companion he could talk to. He didn’t have romance on the forefront of his mind yet.

Joseph lived a little in solitude before you came. No one seemed to share his level of conversation. Mary acted like she was above everyone, Robbie was a literal child albeit very kind, and Leo was too quiet, among others.

Joseph wanted a friend, so he sought that in you — the new arrival.

Days passed talking about lives, books, music, hobbies, just about anything you two could think of. Conversation came very easily between you and him.

It got to the point of where Joseph started to. feel things.

His heart would beat faster if you were near. His face would grow red if you rested your head on his shoulder.

Suddenly he was thinking more and more about what you might like, maybe as a gift or an activity you two could do together.

He didn’t like this feeling. Normally he’d confide in his brother about it but we know how that went.

He settled for writing you a note, in beautiful caligraphy written in blue ink. He sealed it off with a lovely seal, and sent it to that Postman everyone seems to love.

He didn’t sign it. But you’d know it was him. And he couldn’t wait.

Back on topic, jealous Luchi! (No NSFW)

Jealous Luchino’s a trip. He all know he’d get territorial, especially near mating season. He has the instinct to mate guard constantly. It’s more up to him to control his animalistic urges with you.

A majority of the time he’s around you in some way, whether wrapping tail around you or whether holding you in his arms and purring. He’s a really affectionate dude!

He does even throw matches and go friendly when he goes against you nowadays, just because he can sit in the corner with you snuggled up on his lap while the others decode.

But the one time he didn’t was the time he didn’t realize you had taken someone’s place. You had decided to switch with Helena since she felt a little sick.

And little did you know Kevin was on your team! This will be fun.

Its came down to 1 cipher, the two of you decoding together and having to deal with Kevin’s incessant flirting and unwanted compliments as you did. Naib beside you guys was basically about to lose it before Vera kited on over and screamed your name.

You still didn’t see Luchino, nor did Vera actually turn around to look at him.

So you tried to bodyblock like the good teammate you are.

Kevin managed to grab you with his lasso in the knick of time, figuring it was better for one person to get hit instead of two. He grabbed you bridal style rather than over the shoulder this time and gave you a flirty smile that might’ve worked if you were a Kevin simp.

That’s when you noticed Luchino, called his name, and wiggled out of Kevin’s grasp. Luchi had his eyes trained on Kevin though after seeing that display, grabbed you and let out the deepest snarl you’d ever heard.

If you weren’t there, he would have ripped Kevin to shreds.

A majority of Luchino’s jealousy comes from insecurities. He doesn’t like the fact that he mutated and worries constantly that you will leave him for someone more human.

His jealousy quells after soft words and kisses to his scales. He doesn’t like being that violent type of guy but his insecurities and instincts take over a lot of the time.

He’d apologize to Kevin afterwards though, or at least try to. He tries ;-;

Okay, he’d be such a good father.

He already took care of so many reptile babies in the past to fill the void that not being able to have his own child left.

Hearing you were going to have a kid/wanted to adopt one made him basically deactivate. No thoughts, head empty. Full-on not computing.

It was a mixture of pure, unadulterated happiness and total fear.

In the time leading up to actually seeing his kid, he’d he terrified of scaring his own kid with how he looks. No amount of reassurance actually helps, he just doesn’t want to be the monster his kid is afraid of.

Of course, poor baby is totally wrong because his kid is completely enamored with him. If they’re human, he’ll put them on his back and do small little leaps around the manor to play with them.

If his kid is also reptilian (idk maybe your DNA is compatible enough in the end), he’d 100% teach them to do Lethal Crash and jump around large distances.

Dates to Moonlit are a MUST. Picnics at Lakeside too. Lakeside is the usual go-to because of the large open space making it great for him to leap around with his kid before eating to get them hungry.

Imagine him going swimming with his kid on his back. I bet he swims like an iguana with that long ass tail.

Touch Starved Luchino HCs

Poor baby. He’s gone for so long without an ounce of affection.

He’s so used to pain from shedding and from the looks survivors give him.

Not even the hunters give him time of day, except maybe Antonio on occasion.

So when you pulled up with the love train, he didn’t believe it. He thought it was too good to be true.

Beginning to show affection with Luchi was a bumpy ride.

Either he’d accidentally hurt you, or he’d be uncomfortable with your touches. No inbetween.

Do you know how many times those chin spikes have scratched you?

Or how many times he’s shied away from your hugs because he thinks his scales will feel weird to you?

Btw, his scales feel similar to those of a snake!

But he does come around to kisses, and then eventually hugs and cuddles.

He prefers kisses, because he doesn’t exactly have to use his body to do it.

when you hug him, it has to be from a certain angle. For the sake of his comfort, you can only hug him over his clothes for this time.

He’s very insecure of his reptilian features when he isn’t in an animalistic haze.

When he started to get more comfortable eith hugs and you being around his body, thats when you both discovered he could purr!

It sounds like a sputtering engine crossed with a cicada, but he could do it. He figured it sounded a little weird because he’d never known he could do it before.

Now purrs constantly around you, regardless of how or if you touch him.

He’s learned how to properly initiate cuddling with you, choosing to wrap his tail around you like he does when he chairs survs in game! That thing is mighty strong, after all.

He’ll use his tail to pull you into his lap after a long day. I think that’d be his favorite cuddling position.

Either you on his lap, or you on his chest. It’s rare for him to be on top of you right now because he’s still afraid of hurting you somehow, even if you say you aren’t afraid.

Did I ask send an ask about how luchino would comfort reader after they had a tough match? Like luchi seeing his s/o being patched up cause a hunter was a little too rough (maybe that hunter was having a bad day too with matches and got carried away). Luchino would be so pissed. It’s a mixture of his lizard brain saying “must protec” and just him generally being angered by seeing his baby get hurt. He wouldn’t go after the hunter, not yet anyway. Luchino would stay back to make sure you were okay, wrap up any wounds, have Emily check you for more serious injuries, the works. He wants to make sure you’re safe and calm first before he goes on his lizardie rampage.

Once he’s sure of it, he’d lay down with you and purr, knowing it calms you down. He’d press smoochies to your temples and cheeks, and stroke your back until you eventually fell asleep. One last smooch, and he’d go looking for the son of a bitch.

He does have some “chivalry” from when he was fully human — he won’t beat the shit out of a female hunter, he’d just yell at them. It’s just ingrained in his mind that he should be more courteous to women because of the time period he was born in. But if it were a dude?? HAHA. LETHAL CRASH.

as for Luchino meeting mini, I think he’d be more puzzled than anything else. He knows it’s not actually like, a child, more of a pet or toy, but the sentience of it slightly puts him off.

If mini belonged to his s/o, he’d let himself poke its cheeks and mess with it a little, and his heart would absolutely melt as soon as it started cooing at him. He’s enamored in a matter of seconds.

Domestic Luchino (No NSFW)

Compared to others, Luchino isn’t really.. the most secure.

If you chose to live with him and love him, he’s ecstatic, enamored, and so grateful — but secretly, he’s really confused as to why.

Why him? He’s a giant reptile now; he would have thought you’d like him more when he was more... humanlike.

This insecurity haunts him. It makes him feel like a burden to you, especially when he’s going through things like shedding or mating season, the latter of which where he fully loses himself.

I mentioned in the Luchino dating hcs that he has two sides to him: Dr. Luchino The Scientist, and the Evil Reptilian we see in matches. They aren’t separate people, but they are kinda like two different personalities in Luchi, and they flip on a dime if triggered.

Luchino is terrified of the side reptilian accidentally hurting you, but this fear starts to placate once you learn that scritches under the chin where the spines are deactivate the state entirely.

Luchino can cook abnormally well for a giant reptilian man, but he has to sit down while he cooks, or else his head hits the top of the stove.

You tease him for it a lot. He flicks his tongue back in response with a little “plflflflfl”.

Luchino wrapping his tail around you while you’re working around him.

Luchino using his tail to mess with you by lightly brushing it against your ankle.

Luchino comparing your hand sizes and not being able to stop the sharp toothy smile now plastered on his face.

He loves your size difference. He uses this to his advantage all the time, like hiding things on tall shelves so that you’ll have to ask him for help, or wraping himself around you.

FINALLY!! Get ready for more luchino! I’ve been dying to ask, what do you think luchi’s bedroom is like? I say this as, how does he sleep he’s so dang big. If he has a bed it’s probably a Alaskan King size. I’d be so heart broken if the manor just said “you’re too big so you have to sleep on a hay bed out in the shed 💚

Otherwise, I feel like Luchino would curl up while he’s asleep for the sake of saving space, but also because when he cuddles with his s/o at night he do kinda want that heat 😳. He probably lost the ability to maintain heat on his own, so he clings onto you to kinda make up for it.

On the topic of his bedroom as a whole, its like a clusterfuck of journals and papers, with random bottles full of venom and different acids on a desk with no chair. There’s a different journal for each reptile he remembers, papers full of care guides and research he does now at the manor. The bottles of venom are primarily there for him to mess around with from time to time, due to his interest in toxicology.

There are probably other tables or low shelves with tanks on them, some with lizards, others with snakes. Since Luchino can’t really do the same research he used to do, they’re mostly like pets to him. He cares for them and makes sure they grow big and strong. He will take them out of there sometimes to cuddle because they’re his scaly babies! One particular skink he cares for loves to lay on your chest for warmth, just like Luchino does.
