I am particularly enjoying the omega warprize snippets but Cats among Wolves is my favorite if there are any more bits for either of those. Or author’s choice since I know there’s been a lot of them already!

There's not a lot more of the omega warprize thing, but have some Cats Among Wolves:

They’re doing one last trip into town for supplies, having cleared out the endregas very tidily, when Gaetan’s head comes up and his eyes go wide and he bounces on the balls of his feet, grinning so broadly he looks nearly deranged. “Eskel!” he cries, and Letho turns to see another witcher forging through the crowd in their direction. People are giving him a fairly wide berth despite the press, partially because of the swords over his shoulder and the spikes on his gambeson, and partially because he’s a big bastard. Shorter than Letho, but not by much, and nearly equally broad in the shoulders; tanned-dark skin and slightly shaggy dark hair and some scars that rival Letho’s own. A grace to his walk that catches the eye, and the sort of posture that suggests that messing with him is a bad idea. So of course Gaetan launches himself forward, dodging through the crowd at astonishing speed and flinging himself into the newcomer’s arms.

And for author's choice, a bit of a Seven Swans retelling:

He strokes a hand down Voltehre’s feathery neck and leans down to press a kiss to his brother’s bill, and goes back to gathering nettles. The next one wraps around his hand and stings the shit out of the back of it. Lambert bites his lip bloody. Fucking stymphalian lubberwort. You are getting very inventive with the curses, Voltehre says, sounding rather impressed. I’m going to start inventing entirely new ones, Lambert replies grimly. And when this is over, if I never see a nettle again, it will be too fucking soon.

In preparation for this year's travels, I wanted to list the countries I have already visited starting from the latest one.

COPENHAGEN

We visited Copenhagen for Halloween. Copenhagen has one of the oldest theme parks in Europe, Tivoli Gardens. It was first opened in 1843 and features one of the oldest running wooden roller coasters built in 1914 called the, wait for it, The Roller Coaster. For Halloween, the theme park transforms into pumpkin heaven. I think they have 20,000 pumpkins decorating the park during this time. As someone who loves Halloween (check out my main blog for evidence of this) I had to go there and in 2022 I was lucky to be able to visit exactly on Halloween. Each Halloween I try to do something else spooky-related. 2022's Halloween was one of the best ones I had!

Copenhagen itself is a beautiful city in Denmark. It's home to the famous Nyhavn 17th-century waterfront, the statue of the Little Mermaid, stunning architecture, and, of course, offers plenty of references to Hans Christian Andersen. My favorite places to visit; however, were the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek (art museum with a winter garden and a lovely cafe), the Botanical Garden with glass-winged butterflies, and the grounds around the Kastellet where the Little Mermaid statue is located. It offers stunning views of the water and the Amager Bakke; a combined heat and power waste-to-energy plant, which I was pretty stoked to see. Finally, I lost it over a water bus. Never seen one before. It docked at Ofelia Plads and without shame, I stared at the whole operation. That's some good public transport.

Med influenser från både svensk och internationell musikscen har Annika skapat en egen, unik ljudsignatur som fångar lyssnarnas hjärtan. Hennes texter är ofta personliga och känslosamma, och musikaliskt kan man förvänta sig en blandning av folk, pop och akustiska element som bär fram hennes budskap på hennes egna karismatiska och engagerande sätt.

Med den nya låten ”Sockervaddsvals” tar Annika med oss på en nostalgisk resa till barndomens förundran. ”"Sockervaddsvals" är inte bara en sång, det är en resa tillbaka i tiden till det ögonblick då man som barn första gången klev in på ett tivoli och de stora förväntningarna.
