Vaguely incomprehensible thoughts from listening to Self-ish for the first time (mostly written in real time)
(and also I try an analysis at the end despite not understanding the words)
Self: Huh, that was a very chill intro song. Probably setting up motifs or smth I'll look it up later
2012: For a guy having a breakdown this is really funky. Noticing a theme here.
Cotard's Solution:
This... this intro is the end of Dr. Sunshine. Motifs! That's cool :D but alI can hear for the rest is "*Rabid screaming* Murder look like a suicide *Zombie sounds*" I've heard not to trust people who like this song so I'm assuming it has to do with the lyrics but these instruments are fire
Mr. Capgras:
What are these rhythms and why do I love them? Not sure what the vibe is but it feels, like... an old carnival or something? Let me guess, more identity problems? HOLY CRAP THAT'S THE DROP IN DR. SUNSHINE! (looked it up afterward while trying to make this post make sense, Capgras Syndrome is a disorder where a person believes someone important in their life has been replaced by an imposter, but in this case the imposter is imposter syndrome [I think])
The Song With Five Names:
Why does the song have five names anyway? Maybe it'll make sense when I actually can read along and figure out what's happening "Gotta get to the bottom of this"??? This guy keeps reusing things and it makes me so happy. That guitar though...
Hand Me My Shovel:
YES!!!
Fun fact "Hand Me My Shovel" was my first Will Wood song. Found it on a Wilson Higgsbury playlist (I think) and it actually scared me with all the screaming. Funny how it's a favorite of mine now that I associate it with Michael Afton. And it was on a William Afton playlist, ironically enough.
Dr. Sunshine:
Yeah... as far as I'm concerned this song is my traumatized OCs having a dance battle in some spooky bar in the south west or something while yelling at each other for no reason, all just dealing with their own problems by dancing and yelling and stuff.
"Who should I be then if I'll never be the same?" is the opposite of what "Self-" was saying. All that stuff about identity and it ends with "I'm no one now, there's no one now to be." No wonder it sounds so melancholy there. Plus the clock ticking... The title of the album makes so much sense actually
So "Self" was really calm but "-Ish" sounds angry and pained. the songs didn't really amp up linearly (as far as the music goes it's pretty high energy the whole time), but the story is still there.
Someone assured in his identity (Self) loses a large chunk of his memories (2012) and rapidly downward spirals into losing more and more pieces of himself (going to need to lump the other songs together since I couldn't actually figure out what they individually were about). In trying to reinvent himself, he feels he's replacing whatever he had before (Mr. Capgras) and goes digging deeper into himself to look for answers (Hand Me My Shovel). By the time he really does hit the bottom, he's panicking and grabbing at straws for stability, not really one thing or another; not stable but not unstable, not good but not evil, not sure but not lost. Not sunshine but not moonlight. (Dr. Sunshine) In the end he has more questions then answers. All the confidence is gone and he forces himself to just be. (-Ish)
Considering I have a hard time understanding lyrics the first time I hear a song I definitely missed something, but even with what I could make out the story was there. I've heard Will Wood wrote a lot from his experiences and I can feel that in this album.

ALSO!!!! "hand me my shovel, i'm going in!"?????? heLLO? love that 🫶
okay this one is SO MUCH FUN once I've gotten through at least one Big WIP (either gravity or cheerscoops fake dating) I'm definitely coming back to focus on this one. The title comes from the song of the same name by Will Wood and the Tapeworms!
The concept for this AU is that Hawkins (circa 1986) is under attack from a local serial killer, but they have absolutely no idea. Why not? Because Eddie Munson, local necromancer, keeps resurrecting the victims before they're found and reported as dead. This is staying under wraps for now, as all the victims are people generally ignored by society; people from the trailer park, the local drunks, the disenfranchised. People who, post-revival, will generally chalk the whole thing up to a hallucination or a bad dream, but even if they did tell someone it's not like anyone would believe them.
Eddie, meanwhile, is growing increasingly frustrated with the fact no one he revives can remember anything about who did this to them. They remember enough to know it was a violent death (although Eddie already knows that from the state he finds their bodies in), but their memories are too fuzzy to know who did it - and memories of dying and being brought back fade pretty quickly, as a general rule. Eddie doesn't make any headway on figuring out who the culprit is until he brings back the killer's latest victim: Steve Harrington.
Upon being revived, Steve's immediate reaction is "why the fuck is Eddie Munson here, what the fuck is going on and also I'm pretty sure I died for a second there?" in that order. Upon explaining the situation, Steve agrees to help Eddie find who's responsible for these killings and do something about it.
This is kind of an S4 replacement/canon divergence in that Upside Down Shit has been happening since '83, but also it's very much not in that the Upside Down works differently here and things happened differently to how they did in canon (there's almost no government presence in this AU, for example). It's essentially purgatory/the halfway dimension between our world and the afterlife, so Will and El both have their own magical bullshit going on. Think of it as them being sorcerers (innate aptitude for magic) and Eddie being a wizard (learned magical abilities), yknow?
Send me an ask about my WIPs!

Oh Baby!
Tumblr media
A/N: this was something sweet inspired by some of my babies at the daycare but then at 1 am, it turned into something completely different. I’ll try to make a part two out of the original idea. I struggled hard with a title. Titles are the worst
TW: mentions of kidnapping, soft yandere, smut, pregnancy
2.4K words
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
Ever since Keigo kidnapped married you, he had kept you tucked away in your new home, a cozy cabin up the side of a secluded, lesser known mountain. You lived so high up in such a densely forested area that only Hawks could find you, completely cut off from the outside world. He never had to worry about you leaving, one woman with a common healing quirk that would do nothing to help in navigating down the mountain. The locals, inhabitants of a small village at the foot of your mountain, believed the woods to be enchanted, so Keigo had to worry less about a villager managing to stumble their way into your backyard.
It wasn't so bad. Keigo made sure you were never bored. For when he wasn't home for you to tend to his needs, Keigo kept your home well stocked with books. It was the first thing he had shown you in your new home: your personal library. A whole room of the quaint house, your favorites, a whole shelf dedicated to just literary classics, as well as everything on your "to read" list. There was never a shortage of cookbooks. He was so excited that his large wings were flapping as though he were a young puppy wagging their tail, the giant scarlet curtain nearly knocking a shelf down on you.
"I hope you like it." Keigo looked at you, his eyes shining like an innocent puppy. "As much as I love you, I can't be with you all day. Someone has to keep food on the table." He chuckled while keeping a tight grip on your waist, and looking down at you expectantly.
"Oh. Thank you," you replied, your voice small, but loud enough for Keigo to hear. The hold on your waist loosened, and Keigo resumed his tour of your new home.
Of course, there was no TV, lest you stumble upon the news. While he's at it, no newspaper either. You didn't need those to know what was going on outside. It was a scary world out there, full of villains who wouldn't hesitate to snatch you up and use your healing quirk for their own. You were perfectly safe here with him.
It took some time, but eventually you had come around and loved Keigo back. You were always curled up on the couch, book in hand, waiting for him to come home. As soon as he was in the doorway, you'd make your way to him, like clockwork, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek while helping him shrug off his heavy coat. Your voice was still small and hesitant around him, as though you were afraid of him. This irritated him, as Keigo didn't understand what could make you so jumpy still. He had never raised a hand against you. The two of you would have dinner, usually having to reheat whatever you had made because Keigo often worked overtime. Keigo was so happy you were making use of the cookbooks he gave you.
You were turning out to be the perfect wife. Keigo was certain you loved him just as much as he loved you, or as close as someone could come to that level of love. He didn't believe anyone could match the way he felt about you. You were even going to have a kid together, a testament of your love.
When you first announced your pregnancy to him, Keigo was ecstatic. He had come home that day, exhausted and overworked, excited to be welcomed home by his little wife. His stomach growled as he landed in your front yard, and he wondered what you decided to cook up for him. He noticed you'd gotten experimental in your cooking, always asking how things tasted. You were so cute when you had him guess whatever secret ingredient you added.
When you weren’t at the door to greet him with open arms and a kiss, Keigo was disappointed in you. You were doing so well. He shook off his coat and stretched his wings, taking up the better half of your living room. You weren't nestled in the couch, engrossed in a book, as you sometimes were too distracted in your literary world to realize he had come home.
"Baby," Keigo called out, his voice echoing against the wooden walls of your homely cabin. "I'm home. I know it's a lot later than usual."
Keigo figured you must have gone to bed already. He could forgive you for not staying up for him, he thought it was rather cute, though next time, he wished you'd fall asleep on the couch.
When he entered your shared bedroom, Keigo saw you curled up on the bed, your back facing the doorway. You trembled—or was it a shiver? You must be cold without his body heat beside you. Keigo was his own heating unit.
“Baby bird,” Keigo took a step into the room. “I’m home."
No response from you.
Another step.
"Can I get a kiss?”
You shivered again.
Keigo had taken off his uniform as he was making his way towards you and the bed. Now in just his boxers, Keigo heaved himself on the bed, his weight causing the mattress to sink slightly. He laid on his side to spoon you, wrapping a large, warm arm around your center. At this distance, Keigo heard it: your small sniffles. You weren't asleep; you were crying.
"Baby, what's wrong?" Keigo asked, worry sickening him. "Did ya miss me that much?" He tried to joke, more for his sake than yours.
After no response from you, save for a few more sniffles, Keigo asked once again what was wrong, a little more urgently. His racing thoughts of you leaving, of you not loving him, were sending him into a panic.
You mumbled incoherently.
"What was that, baby? I couldn't hear you." Keigo struggled to hang on to his cool.
You mumbled yet again, causing Keigo's growing panic and frustration with you to snap. He clamored over you, swinging his legs so that you were caged underneath him, his hands at either side of your head. Golden eyes locked onto your watery ones, staring you down.
“(y/n),” Keigo said firmly. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
"I'm pregnant" you spat at him, frustrated at the fact itself and having to repeat it three times. The more you said it felt like the final pat of a shovel packing the dirt above your grave. You wiped away a tear before turning and shoving your face in your pillow.
“Oh baby.” Keigo was almost at loss for words. He had been anticipating this moment—stocking the bathroom cabinet with pregnancy tests the moment you arrived—yet in it, he didn’t know what exactly he wanted to say. He took your face in his hands and turned your head to look at him.
“Are you for real?”
“What would I gain from lying?” You attempted to make your words hit him like poisonous darts, but your quaking voice only managed to soften him.
“I love you so much,” Keigo dipped his head down to give you a chaste kiss, softer than his usual greedy ones, as though he were afraid of breaking you. Your eyes shut instinctively.
“This is so exciting, (y/n). You have no idea how happy I am."
A kiss to your cheek.
 "I love you."
A kiss to your other cheek.
"I love you."
Keigo rose up on his hands and knees again.
"I promise to be the best father to our child."
You felt something splash on your cheek. You slowly opened your eyes again to see Keigo crying above you.
"I love you, too," your voice small and shaky as you looked up at Keigo, knowing he would just continue to stare at you and cry until you said it back.
Keigo beamed down at you before dipping down for another kiss, this one a little rougher, more passionate is how Keigo would describe it.  His warm mouth worked against yours, his lips chapped slightly from the harsh wind on his rushed flight home.
You thought Keigo would deepen the kiss, expecting to feel his impatient tongue poking between your lips and licking your bottom lip. Instead Keigo pulled away and sat back on your legs, the bottom half of his own legs tucking your legs under him. He studied your body, eyes trailing down your form, stopping briefly at your stomach.
Keigo bent down again, lips now hungrily, but gently, pecking at your neck. He pulled your shirt off, delighted by your lack of bra underneath, before making his way down your chest to pepper your body with kisses. Between each small kiss, Keigo whispered "I love you" against your body.
His large hands came up to cup your breasts, careful not to squeeze too hard lest he hurt you. Usually Keigo would give them more attention, but that wasn't his main focus for tonight. He hummed as he kissed between them, flicking your nipples lightly. You couldn't suppress a small moan.
Spurred by your shy noises of pleasure, Keigo continued to move down your body. When he reached your lower abdomen, right below your belly button, Keigo's whispers of "I love you" grew more frantic, as though he was trying to tell the baby that was forming in you that he loved them.
When Keigo finally reached between your legs, he planted sweet kisses on the insides of your thighs while dragging your panties down. He tossed them to the side and lifted your legs onto his shoulders before nestling down. Keigo's face between your legs was hit with your heat. He inhaled your sweet scent, and his honeyed eyes looked up to meet yours.
"I love you, (y/n)," he stated before dipping down to lap at your puffy folds.
Keigo was excited, as any man in his position would be. As much as he wanted to pound into your until your voice hoarse from your cries and screams of his name, his main goal tonight was to make you feel good while being as gentle with you as possible. He was terrified of hurting his child in you because of his lack of self-control.
His tongue flicked at your clit, continuing to hold your gaze until your head rolled back with a low groan. Your hands found themselves tangling into his tousled golden hair, your back arching in attempt to push yourself into his mouth. Keigo chuckled against your swollen clit, the vibrations causing you to cry out and tug on his golden locks.
This spurred him on more. Keigo pushed a rough finger into you before hooking it and dragging slowly out of you, drawing a sweet moan of his name to fall out of your lips. This repeated motion combined with his sucking and lapping at your clit caused you to climb higher to your orgasm.
“Keigo, please,” you begged, seeking relief from the coiling in your gut.
Keigo hummed again against your clit, eliciting the same sweet moan and tug from you as before. He took his chance to slip another finger into you, curling both fingers against your spongy spot before dragging them down your walls.
"Keigo, I'm so close," you whined.
"Then come, baby bird." That was all you needed for the band to snap. Moans of his name and incoherent phrases tumbling out of your pretty lips.
While you were climbing down from your orgasm, Keigo found the time to remove his boxers.
Keigo sat down back down on the mattress, settling beside your shaking form with his back to the headboard. His own need was now too painful to ignore. Not wanting to put any unnecessary pressure on your stomach, Keigo pulled you up and into his lap, your entrance, slick with your own cum and his spit, hovered over his weeping cock, close enough for the heat radiating out of you to tease him.
“I love you.” Keigo held eye contact with you as he sank you down on his cock, his large hands holding your hips. Once you were fully seated on him, Keigo leaned back against the headboard. He gave a few shallow thrusts to test what you (and the baby) could handle.
Keigo settled on a steady, but gentle rhythm. You splayed your hands on his broad chest as he bounced you on his cock. Despite the gentleness and the shallowness of Keigo's thrusts and your bouncing, you were quickly climbing your way to a second orgasm. Already sensitive from your first, Keigo's cockhead managed to nudge against your sweet spot with every roll of his hips.
"Keigo, I'm close." you cried, hiding your face in his neck. One of his hands left your hip to allow his thumb to roll your sensitive bud, causing your walls to tighten and convulse around him.
"Me too, baby." Keigo said, breathless. "I'm so close. So close. Come with me, baby."
With a strained groan, Keigo's thumb on your clit sped up, causing the heat that had once again built up within you to break. You scratched desperately at Keigo's back, hiding your face into the crook of his neck. Your hot walls clamped down on him, the final push Keigo needed to fall off the edge himself.
With chants of "I love you", Keigo began to hump his cum into you before stilling, his hips flush against yours, head tilted back and back arching off the headboard.
Once you had both come back to earth, Keigo laid you onto your back before pulling out his softening dick from you and rolling off you onto his side, white cum leaking out of you.
"Not that this really matters anymore now," Keigo couldn't help the chuckle that left him. With the pad of his index finger, he pushed his now cooled cum into you.
At that statement, the fog of your two orgasms lifted, and the realization of your situation set in; you could never leave now. You let out a choked sob as Keigo rested a hand on your stomach before pulling you into him and wrapping a large, red wing over the two of you like a personal cocoon. Nuzzling his face into your neck, facial hair tickling the crook, Keigo gave you soft kisses and gentle words of praise, chalking up your soft sobs to the hormones adjusting your body to his child.

Aight for the WIP ask thing, I wanna ask about Hello My Old Heart (because I love that song, lol) and the Sanrouge Book Cover (because I love book covers too). Go on and talk about your babies :D
Aight, let's do this!
Okay, so Hello My Old Heart is a One Piece fanfic that's one part Dofuwani (Doflamingo x Crocodile; wani is Japanese for crocodile. Also just love Doffy being 110% down bad for Crocodile and jshaskdhaks the height difference just makes my brain go brrrr), one part Dadodile (An AU where Crocodile is Luffy's dad. This AU spawned from the OP fandom theory of Crocodile being Luffy's mom, which you can look into on your own) and Doffy getting a lot of therapy in the form of trying to be a good husband and parental figure to the kid versions of Luffy, Ace, and Sabo.
Also might give Doffy a good outfit cuz contrary to popular belief (and I will die on this hill)... DOFFY DOESN'T HAVE DRIP! Istg what was Oda thinking with that design?! Then again, Oda is the same guy who made an ability of the Brachiosaurus Devil Fruit be that the user *wheeze* CAN SHOOT THEIR TAIL, NECK, AND HEAD OUT THE BODY LIKE A WORM SHOOTING ITSELF OUT OF AN APPLE!
But to get to the stuff about Sanrouge, the idea of how to do the book cover came to me with a most bizzare muse... I was listening to Bloody Stream from JJBA Part 2 which my brain initially categorized as a Natane and Mars song but now it's one of the songs that I associate with Sanrouge as a whole, along with Demon Kitty Rag by Katzenjammer and Hand Me My Shovel, I'm Going In by Will Wood. Other sources of inspiration include the manga volume covers of FT along with the idea of it being kinda like a movie poster. Natane, Soleil, and Mars are at the front with the title on top and a little 'Starring:' thing near the top too.
Book covers are fun.
And a tip for storywriting: If you think something is too outlandish, look at JJBA and One Piece. They're peak absurdity.

Sorry for not being active for a pretty long time, i have been busy with other stuffs. For people who see the other WIP I was making, don't worry lol, I still working on it. Anyway this things is based on one of my fav songs from will wood, 'Hand me my shovel, I'm going in!'. The bridge part is truly beautiful sounding and the music video for it is chaotic as hell. I actually forgot to add the tittle version of this on Instagram lol.
Second version with titles?
Tumblr media
Bonus stuff: All the idea and attempt on this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fan facts: The traditional one is made around December last year and I had give up on it since I'm (still) not good at watercolour.
Anyway, bye!

No one else wants this but I really want to talk about it so here’s a tracklist with the main lines that made me want to include the song.
Allies or Enemies by The Crane Wives
This entire song is so John Arthur but I’ll just put the chorus.
Are we allies or enemies?
This will be the death of me
This will be the death of me
All is fair in love and war, but I can’t fight with you anymore
This will be the death of me
You Call it Madness (But I Call it Love) by Russ Columbo and His Orchestra
I’m not explaining this one, I’m pretty sure you legally have to include this song if you make a Malevolent Playlist.
Lovecraft in Brooklyn by The Mountain Goats
This isn’t a perfect fits but ooh the vibes.
Woke up afraid of my own shadow. Like, Genuinely afraid.
Headed for the pawnshop. To buy myself a switchblade
Someday somethings coming. From way out beyond the stars
To kill us while we stand here. It will store our brains in mason jar
And then the girl behind the counter asks "How do you feel today?" and I say "I feel like Lovecraft in Brooklyn!"
No Children by the Mountain Goats
I’m gonna say it. No supernatural codependent podcast relationship fits this line more than John and Arthur. Specifically when they’re having one of their divorce moments™️.
I am drowning
There is no sign of land
You are coming down with me
Hand in unlovable hand
And I hope you die
I hope we both die
Thank God I’m Not You by the Himalayas
Not explaining this one either. Look at the title. This is about episode 25.
This Too Shall Pass by Danny Schmidt
I shouldn’t need to explain this one either but I’ll include this verse that doesn’t have the already very topical title.
We think too big
We think our self is one whole thing
And we claim that this collection
Has a name and is a being
But deep inside
When every cell divides
Well, it sets upon the rule that states
Self-interest is divine
Hand Me My Shovel, I’m Going In by Will Wood
Ah the first of the Will Wood songs. This one is a stretch but it is about digging a hole for yourself trying to figure something out and then continuing to dig even when it is obviously a bad idea. Wonder who that might apply to.
Looking up we see the point of entry
Between where we are and we've been
Looking down I could say Heaven sent me.
Hand me my shovel. I'm going in.
Against the Kitchen Floor by Will Wood
Ok this feels likes it’s too soft for this playlist but god. God. I’m tempted to put every line in here.
I don't owe you my heart, and I don't owe you my body
But you should know that I'm sorry for being careless with you
Lord knows I owe you more than I'm pretty sure I ever could give anybody
And this
I still don't know who you are, I only know that I'm still lonely
That morbid sort where even company can't cure me
And the more you reassure, the less I trust
But still you gave me your heart, I only gave you my body
And this also
Oh, I'm sorry, I promise, I'm doing my best
I just haven't learned how to be human as you are yet
Laplace’s Angel (Hurt People? Hurt People!) by Will Wood
The animatic I have in my head for this….
It doesn't take a killer to murder
It only takes a reason to kill
We've all got evidence of innocence, it's 'everything's coincidence' the
Difference twixt fate and free will is whether you're singing
The End. by My Chemical Romance
Another stretch but uh. Arthur has a lot of death around him and also self loathing. So.
Now, come on, come all to this tragic affair
Wipe off that makeup, what's in is despair
So throw on the black dress mix in with the lot
You might wake up and notice you’re someone you’re not
Bad Bad Things by AJJ
Fractured Piece of the King in Yellow murder moments
So I looked into your eyes and I saw the reflection
Of a coward you and I both hate very much
And then I grabbed the knife
And let the blood out of your throat
Under My Skin by Jukebox the Ghost
You get it.
How much can you fit under your skin?
I wish you were dead babe I wish you were dead
I can fit two, I can fit two...
I can fit two people under my skin
Yea I can fit two people under my skin
And I will prove it if you will listen
Curses by The Crane Wives
This one is such a common animatic song but for good reason.
All my aching bones are trembling
And I may yet fall apart
Won't you stay with me, my darling
When the war starts in my heart?
When the war starts in my heart
Oh ashes, ashes, dust to dust
The devil's after both of us
Howl by the Family Crest
This one loses the plot a bit but I do really want to draw something with it in mind.
I know you never mean to say
All of these awful things you say
But oh god, the reason is yours
Puppet Loosely Strung by The Correspondents
John Doe hours.
I'm tied to so many things I don't need to do
I’ll loosen my strings to be more like you
Oleander by Mother Mother
In the CW adaptation of Malevolent this plays somewhere in the season 2 finale (episode 20 + coda)
You stood beside me
When I was out of my mind
I broke the glass
And you were there to sweep it aside
And if you leave me
Rest assured it would kill me
The Garden by the Crane Wives
The vibes
Put your ear to my heart or set your teeth against my throat
Give me something pretty to wear beneath my blood-stained clothes
The Mind Electric by Miracle Musical
I hate myself for including this because you have to like. Get through the first half of the song to get to the meat of it but hear me out: The King in Yellow’s madness and power.
See how the brain plays around
And you fall inside a hole you couldn't see
And you fall inside a hole inside a-
Someone help me
Understand what's going on inside my mind
Look Away by Dear Hunter
Fits with the narrative plus slight investigation vibes… uncovering a crime… not wanting to see something terrible perhaps.
So I circle thoughts with centered eyes
That stare without ever seeing
But it's getting dim and just before any
Reasons can be revealed
Villainous Thing by Shayfer James
This is a Kayne song. Fun movie villain track.
And you'll find no ever after here
It's clear that isn't what you came for
And I'll be your puckish puppeteer
On this delightful little detour
Silver Platters by Les Gold
This is an “Arthur is experiencing ordeals” song. Not too tied to the narrative, but fun energy.
Open up a bottle
Take a sip and swallow
Thinking about god and all the dreams you didn't follow
Now you're dressing formal
I've seen this before
The Horror and The Wild by the Amazing Devil
Don’t you remember? I promise I won’t forget you.
"Remember me, " I ask
"Remember me, " I sing
Give me back my heart, you wingless thing
Rule #21- Memento Mori by Fish in a Birdcage
Unprecedented so far but I think this song has some Yellow energy.
Oh I won't forget
Momento Mori, leaves a debt
You haven't paid it yet
It’s Alright by Mother Mother
John/Arthur is experiencing a moment of humanity/horrific catharsis Alexa play It’s Alright by Mother Mother.
I don't wanna know who I am
'Cause heaven only knows what I find
I don't wanna know I'm not capable of coming out alive
I don't wanna see what's inside
I think that I would rather be blind
I don't wanna know I'm not capable, I'm capable
I'm alright, I'm okay, I'm alright, I'm okay
I'm not a monster, I'm a human
And I made a few mistakes
Battle Cry by Shayfer James
Arthur vs the Yellow King
Hear my battle cry, hear that mighty roar
And if you make it out alive, the devil will be waiting by your door
That Unwanted Animal by The Amazing Devil
Intrusive thoughts and unhealthy relationships baby.
"Be good to me, " I whisper
And you say, "What?" and I say, "Nothing, dear"
Mercy Down by Shayfer James
Arthur murder moments
Hey, it's getting biblical now, woah-oh
You better pick your weapons up
And throw your mercy down
Anybody Else by Dom Fera
This one’s just for fun. More unhealthy relationship stuff.
She said, with friends like these, who needs anybody?
She said, with eyes like these, who sees anybody?
Diggin’ Up Hatchets by Shayfer James
Arthur murder moments part two
We’re burying mercy and grace
in unmarked shallow graves
Today, the piper must be be paid
for the tune that he played
Kitchen Fork by Jack Conte
Idk this one’s spooky. Dreamlands vibe.
Wake from a dream where I was stuck losing my teeth
Lucky for me, it was all fake, not what it seemed
Where, oh, where do we go next?
Dear Dictator by Saint Motel
King in Yellow. Come on.
Nobody has ever seen his face
But fear his smile
Have a Seat Misery by Shayfer James
Arthur to John communication . Though potentially a little Kayne in there too.
Have a seat, misery
Lord how I’ve missed you
The Consequence of Imagination is Fear by Junie & the Hut Friends
Dreamlands (though this verse below I’m specifically thinking about Kayne)
I met a man downtown the other day
With ruby eyes that took my life away
The moral always goes
Don't trust the wolf in woolen clothes
But know the consequence of imagination's fear
Boots Worn Through by Shayfer James
Miles to go before I sleep etc etc, cycles restarting etc
We're gonna walk until our boots where through
We've miles to go an there's much to do
Every good story begins with an end
So, we're gonna walk until we
Until we start again
Tbc.
Now is a good time to offer up my Malevolent playlist. Is it groundbreaking. No. But god the amount of animatic material.*
*I am a visual sequential artist first and foremost so the criteria for my adding a song is purely if there is at least a verse that I can imagine drawing/story boarding the characters to. This playlist is mainly a mix of Arthur, John, and a dash of yellow and Kayne. If you have suggestions feel free to shoot ‘em my way.

Note
I didn't get asked but I just wanted to share that currently I'm still listening to Will Wood's Normal Album on repeat, so that's like, ten songs there. My favorite is probably the second one because I actually managed to learn all the fast parts and sing along! And then there's another one of his songs (not from the same album), "Hand me a Shovel, I'm going in" (I think that's the title, maybe not word for word though) which to me perfectly describes the feeling of not being taken seriously about your mental health (or any similar struggle) because your symptoms are too mild or not visible or you're not struggling enough to be seen. Anyone who's been told "you're not that disabled/autistic/adhd/sick/etc." could probably enjoy belting out the lyrics, "This is not enough, this is not enough to prove it yet, no I need to hit the bottom!"
Oh, and I recently discovered a hilarious song called "Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" that everyone should listen to once, it's hilarious and I don't like it so much as a song than as a story! Seriously, go listen to it, just for a laugh at least!
🎶✨when u get this, list 5 songs u like to listen to, publish. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (positivity is cool)🎶✨
