Shout out to these ladies @tishinada @rainofaugustsith and Lyria for another successful hunt. The Great Hunt this time. Taking down dragon’s with the power of friendship....and brute force. A LOT of brute force.

Anyway, we decided to get out “fisherman’s picture” with our price and the cute little cat who sent us after the man eating dragon.

Yes! I love it. Also there are some denim shorts that are pretty cheap from the masked rose in the Golden saucer (I think, I'll have to double check). Summer something, or spring? It involves a season. Haha. But that looks fantastic on her.

As much as I love Zas’s nautical outfit for fishing, I decided she needs an option more in line with how others dress for the ocean fishing expeditions.

So…half my morning was spent trying to come up with something that suited her and could be dyed purple without spending half my gil, lol. The Ala Mhigan Gown was fairly easy choice (and a popular one with the fishing crowd.) But I didn’t want to go with bikini bottoms and short shorts are hard to come by without spending a *lot* of money, even if you’ve got fairly high crafting skills. I found one pair that kind of looked like comfortable cargo shorts, but even dyed to match, I didn’t think the style fit with the top. Then I went through the pants in my glamour chest and realized that the Pagos gaskins that @cinlat​ gave me when I first started the game could be dyed and the style looked pretty good with the top.

So, her new fishing gear:

I want sandals that suit the outfit better, but these will do for now.

I've been playing this game for 8 years and can't come up with a better explanation. Ffxiv is as open world as you want it to be. And if you want to try it out, free trails go all the way through the Heavensward Expanse. My main issue is that once you sub, you can't go back to f2p like on swtor. (I keep my main account, and a free one for when times are hard and I can't sub) if you want to get into Famfrit, no doubt Tish, @kunoichi-ume or myself will happily two man you through all the mandatory group content. I'm maxed on several classes and can solo everything up to lvl 75 dungeons. Tish and Ume are steadily catching up. But it takes a minute to get there so unless you rush, that won't be a problem for a while.

I'm with you on the not being a huge fan of most fantasy. But ffxiv let's Fynta punch everything....like really really hard. Plus there are guns if you're dead set against the sword. Or you can go pirate assassin and join the ninja. Magic classes are basically just that. My main right now is Dancer, which involves hurling death discs at people. It's loads of fun. It's also what I'm basing Sith Fynta's weapons off.

...so...what can y'all tell me about FFXIV?

I have been avoiding it because a)I am under the impression it is group oriented b) I fucking hate fantasy settings with the force of a thousand suns. Hate them. Despise them. Don't like them in any way. Probably one reason I never got through Dragon Age despite adoring the companions. C) sapphic story?

But given that SWTOR is forcing solo players into group play with the shared tagging ...seems like I'm going to need another focus.
