~ the Tirupati incident has clearly showcased how temples are being misused and mismanaged and they will continue to be like this no matter in whose control they are. It is needed for them to out of govt. control.

~ but, the problem with temples being out of government’s control is that these casteist bigots who claim that Dalits and tribals shouldn’t be allowed will take over temples by claiming that their community was its custodian while the temple is actually a public property in a way. Which will not be supported by anyone as the temple can’t be given to one particular caste or family like it happened in the case of Padmanabh Swamy temple’s estate case where the right to manage was given to Travancore royal family. Instead it should be a temple trust. Me personally, I am still not on board with this idea because of this very reason.

~ the majority of Hindus are actually Dalits who will not support this initiative at all.

~ this same kind of incident can take place in a private corporation as well because the harsh truth most of the people who do this kind of stuff are actually Hindus I won’t say all but most. At least in government, we can file a PIL to know what is happening in Prasad but that can’t happen in a private corporation case.

~ the third reason why we are triple fucked is because our inability to condemn caste system and say it out loud to eradicate it instead of justifying it by saying that it was corrupted later on. I am sorry, this has been in practice for a thousand years now and there is nothing you can do to reform it now, no point in justifying it by bringing other topics or justifying it by citing other religions.

~ fourthly, caste is an Indian problem not just a Hindu problem (as many make it out to be) and more of a south and North Indian problem. It’s their in Muslims and Christians as well but that doesn’t mean that we are justified for continuing this practice. It’s an inhumane practice, it needs to be called out no matter what.

The area around the deities is decorated with bananas, Tulsi leaves, and flowers typically used for puja. 

It is considered that the birth of Lord Ram took place around noon, hence the most significant puja is carried out at that time. 

An Arati is performed at midday, followed by the singing of religious bhajans. Tika is applied, and then water is sprayed all over the persons that are present. 

When the puja prasad is distributed at noon, a lot of people break their fast with it. 

A Ram Bhajan or a Vishnu Sahasranama may be included among the devotional songs that are sung. On this day, passages from the Ramayana, in particular the chapter known as Bala Khanda, are read aloud. 

In addition to that, there are individuals who abstain from food for the entirety of the day. There are also communities that practise the nirjala fast, which involves abstaining from water during the fast.
