Do you have any ocxoc relationship pairings?

omg hii anon!

i actually have multiple ocxoc ships, but this pairing featuring my Dragonborn and my ex (?) Thalmor mage is by far my most developed ->

They meet in Whiterun, specifically the Temple of Kynareth, right after Tilavyne finds out she's the Last Dragonborn, and the two of them hit it off pretty well! Aurelion accompanies her on her adventures through Skyrim, and eventually, feelings start developping and they enter a relationship! All is well... at least for now :)

They're basically two very broken people who try to build each other up and heal the wounds of their pasts, but this isn't always easy. They're trying their best, though.

🥩 - Does your oc have any coping mechanisms? Healthy or unhealthy?

nehlyda has been getting bullied from an early age by her maormer peers for looking too much like an altmer, which meant that she also started developping coping mechanisms at a young age. she would often just disassociate and try to ignore her emotions altogether. she wanted to appear strong in front of her bullies, and this was the only way she thought she could do it.

however, when her father started teaching her magic, she would open up to him about her feelings from getting bullied. she realized that actually doing something productive and simply just talking to someone who was supportive of her was much healthier than just being alone by herself.

however², even though she had this tiny support network, the bullying was too much, and talking and doing magic just weren't enough. she joined a maormer pirate crew in the hopes that the bullying would subside, and while it did decrease, she still didn't feel welcome and like a real part of the crew. she started getting more immersed in her magic studies and even started experimenting with necromancy to cope with the harassment she received from her fellow crew members.

this also meant that she was done with trying to fit in maormer society, and she went to tamriel instead, where she met mannimarco and became his apprentice. necromancy became a big way for her to deal with her feelings, since it's what made her the most comfortable.

❤️ - Who is the most important person to your character? To what lengths would they go to protect this person?

her father is definitely one of the most important people in her life. he took her with him to pyandonea despite knowing that they would both get harassed by other maormer, because he didn't want his only child to be outcast by altmer society. he has always been supportive of her, and she has always been grateful for it. however, she couldn't bear seeing someone so important to her suffer so much because of her, and this became another reason why she left pyandonea. in her mind, she did this to protect him.

another most important person is definitely caraelin, the elf she falls in love with during the events of eso. since caraelin gives nehlyda actual purpose and shows her how valuable she is, nehlyda would go to any lengths to protect her so they can stay together forever <3 she probably wouldn't sacrifice herself for her gf tho, bc caraelin (being the vestige) is already basically immortal lol

Helgen - Who was your first Skyrim character? Do you still make anything with them/play as them now?

my first character in skyrim (and tes over all) was tilavyne! i still draw her sometimes, and i think about her every day

riverwood! it just feels very homey

28. Somewhere in a town your OC has frequented, another character mentions their name in conversation. What reactions do others have to your OC‘s? Does your OC even have a reputation, or do they fly under the radar?

i think their reactions would depend on the reason why caraelin was in a particular town. was she there on vestige-business? of course people will remember her, she was the one who saved them after all! was she there for literally any other reason? ehh, in the towns-people’s eyes, she’s just another adventurer. a very small one (depending on what province she’s visiting), but an adventurer nonetheless… though it is weird how things tend to “disappear” significantly more often when she’s around…

35. After miraculously surviving a near-death experience, your OC regains consciousness. What are the first words out of their mouth, and to whom do they speak them to?

being the vestige and thus pretty much immortal, caraelin constantly puts herself in harm’s way to protect the people she cares about... which means she also often gets near-death experiences. every “death” is extremely painful, so the first thing she does after waking up is ask how the person she wanted to protect is, and she usually talks to the first person she sees. she just wants to know if what she has done was worth it in the end.

5. What is your OC's first language? Do they know any others?

caraelin's first language is naturally bosmeris, though she also started learning tamrielic from a young age. both of those languages she uses on a day to day basis, and is able to adequatley communicate in them. when the dominion was formed, she also started learning altmeris, though she is significantly less fluent in it.

6. Does your OC have any formal education? Via what organization, if so?

everything caraelin knows she learned from her mother, her step-father, and her village's elders. she never received any form of formal education, though she would love having a magic teacher someday.

21. What skill lines does your OC primarily excel at? Which ones are they weak in?

caraelin excels in archery; she has been practicing it every day since she was a little child. she also knows her way around daggers, and shows great potential in everything magic-y! she's weak in everything that has to do with heavy weapons, which most of the time are the same size as her...

they both like playing with each other's hair, but nehlyda does it way more often. since she's the taller one, she sometimes puts her hand on caraelin's head and just starts playing with her hair lol

17. Who steals whose clothes? Does their significant other mind?

caraelin LOVES stealing nehlyda's clothes! nehlyda doesn't (really) mind, she's just sad that she can't steal her girlfriends clothes because they don't fit her :(

23. Who said "I love you" first?

it was nehlyda! she was very nervous to confess her feelings to caraelin, so she really had to work up the courage to tell her... then caraelin initiated their first kiss <3

27. Who tends to drive on long journeys? Who navigates?

it depends on what method of transportation they use! if they travel by ship, it's caraelin who is in charge of boating (apparently this is a real english word??), while nehlyda navigates. if they travel on land, it's the opposite; nehlyda drives the cart, while caraelin navigates them around

39. Do they dance? If so, who's better?

they do dance, especially after having a few drinks! nehlyda is definitely better at it, and caraelin constantly stumbles around lol

54. What's something that they don't really care for but tolerate because S/O has an interest?

caraelin despises necromancy, but only tolerates it when nehlyda uses it... as long as it's for non-evil purposes, of course

yes she absolutely has! being a lone adventurer and despising the idea of having long hair, tilavyne's had to cut them herself on multiple occasions. she has also cut aurelion's (her boyfriend) hair a few times... it turned out alright!

🎒 - What items does your oc usually carry? Do they have a bag or just keep everything in their pockets? Do they carry a lot or a little?

tilavyne usually keeps her stuff in a backpack! she carries self-made potions and poisons as well as various alchemical ingredients that she happens to find on her adventures. she also carries gold and other personal belongings with her.

so fun explanation: my ralof is dressed like that bc before playing i downloaded a bunch of random mods and one of them was a fancy armor mod!

which is also what caused the glitch bc the fancy armor was like, slightly bigger and made the collision different and wacky??
