So g4 has an equivalent to the g1 artifact that embodies goodness the rainbow of light (the g4 equivalent being the elements of harmony)

But I don't think g4 has an equivalent to the g1 artifact that embodies evil the rainbow of darkness, which can forcibly turn folk into monstrous evil slaves , the main example being turning ponies into mindless evil dragons (honestly overall I think the rainbow of darkness is the single most terrifying artifact in fiction) (Also the character who most prominently used the rainbow of darkness is g1 Tirac)

FNAF: Michael's My Little Pony Adventure Prologue

I got my first chapter(or Prologue) of my another fanfic crossover on my A03 and on Fanfiction.net. Just a note everyone that this fanfic is not canon to Afton's Playtime, it's a completely different universe.

My fanfic is mostly based from G1 My Little Pony Rescue at Midnight Castle mixed with My Little Pony Movie and My Little Pony and Friends. I've added some of Friendship is Magic characters like Shining Armor, Starswirl the Bearded, etc.

By the way, remember the last poll I made? Since the name, Tarot won, I changed Gypsy's name into Tarot and she's in my fanfic so thanks everyone. I'm also going to use Scorpan's human name for my fanfic as well. :3

This fanfic is about Michael Afton has to save Dream Valley(where G1 ponies lived) and his kidnapped siblings(Elizabeth and Evan) that were captured by an evil centaur, Tirac. He already conquered Dream Valley and wants to conquer other worlds such as Earth. Michael and the ponies have to defeat Tirac by using the Rainbow of Light, which it was shattered into seven shards and was given to his Seven Overlords. Will Michael saved his siblings and Dream Valley at the same time before his father founds out? :3

I’d pay good money to have a my little pony DND thing be canon 

These pictures were taken from the "My Little Pony and Friends" Press Pack. It shows the cast of "Rescue At Midnight Castle" along with the Glow Friends and Potato Head Kids. Except, RaMC was complete by the time the series began. Tirac was a one shot villain. In fact, the ponies in the picture, (missing cutie marks) Posey, Flutterbye, Sparkler, Sundance and somepony else weren't there.

Neither was Danny or a Spike with wings big enough to carry him.

Plus the Stratadons are individualized and look completely different too.

There looks like there were a lot of changes between the pilot and the series.

It was always my opinion that RaMC was made in order to appeal to boys AND girls (even though its a girls property). After it aired, MLP was toned down with "Escape From Catrina" and "MLP and Friends". But this makes it look like Tirac was going to be a series long villain. And that My Little Pony is/was a spiritual cousin to sister show "Dungeons and Dragons"

April (80’s Villains) Week Four: “The Master of Midnight Castle”

"O Rainbow of Darkness, the Darkness sends! Now begin the Night that never ends!"

Wandering a bit off the beaten path with this one, it's Tirac, the very first "My Little Pony" villain from 1986's "Rescue At Midnight Castle"! I've always been very enamored of the idea of a Centaur as a Satanic Villain for Horses, it's the kind of conceptual play I wish we saw more of in the franchise.

These are from the G1 My Little Pony 'n Friends presskit. However, there are some oddities! Megan is in a different outfit, Spike has wings, Sparkler and Tirac don't appear in MLP 'n Friends, and Flutterbye isn't in any animated show.

But most intriguing to me is Danny, who has a totally different design and is older than the version we got.

This also confirms that this kid on the cover of Escape from Catrina is Danny:

fanfics I merely daydream about but they get weirder:

- a MLP G3 one - the crystal rainbow wand is stolen, and the Unicorn Princesses go on a journey to find it. they soon find out it is somewhere inside Midnight Castle, which a centaur wizard is rumored to guard. yes, it's a G3 Tirek one

- Predaprince introductory episode - what it says on the tin. also Predaprince sets fire to the other students' lockers and thinks it's funny

- between AOE and TLK - Wheelie brings Brains into the junkyard after the two reunite, but soon finds out his friend changed just enough for it to be concerning. they just kind of fuck around in that one but whatever

- one where AOE/TLK Optimus (let's call him knight Optimus) SOMEHOW gets into a different timeline, that is where everything after DOTM turned out okay. the hatchlings were rescued and are growing up safely, Chicago is getting rebuilt, and this timeline's Optimus and the other Autobots are slowly trying to recover from their trauma. it ends with knight Optimus killing this timeline's Optimus and taking his place, just to feel happiness again

- Robot Trains? haven't heard that one in a while - Kay and Duke get into the dimension tunnel crap again, except this time they both arrive at a timeline where the virus-ridden Duke won and took Kay's engine. they both now need to somehow save this torn apart place and its residents, which they start off by trying to look for any surviving Robot Trains (which apparently turn out to be Alf and Victor). they try to not get spotted by any citizen trains while on their mission, but this dimension's Duke becomes aware of their presence much earlier than they expect - and he's out to kill that other Kay, too

I think those are the most notable ones!

Also on "surprisingly dark Hasbro cartoon villains" we have Tirac from the original MLP movie (not to be confused with Tirek from MLPFiM). He wants to bring about eternal night with his Rainbow of Darkness, and uses some pretty nasty methods to work towards it. Such as kidnapping people (mostly ponies, but at least one human) and turning them into winged beasts and enslave them to his will.

Then there's Catrina from the second movie, who is legit a drug addict.

You know there's a reason that the fandom liked to bring them back in fanfics

I really love the G1 My Little Pony series, and Megan is seriously one of the most awesome heroines ever. The first thing she does when she arrives in Dream Valley is try to punch a dragon that was attacking her new friends, and she just keeps going from there until she straight-up kills Tirac with the Rainbow of Light.

She’s really a great role model- she’s adventurous, brave and compassionate, but will do whatever it takes to stop the villains.
