Suecia 6-2 Estonia Suecia: Gösta Krusberg, Otto Andersson, Sven Andersson, Walfrid Persson, Harry Johansson, Ernst Andersson, Gunnar Olsson, Torsten Bunke, Bertil Ericsson, Lennart Bunke y Knut Kroon. Entrenador: John Petterson.
Estonia: Evald Tipner, Eugen Einman, Artur Neumann Tarmiäe, Otto Reinfeldt Reinlo, Karl Rudolf Silberg Sillak, Egon Parbo, Georg Siimenson, Richard Kuremaa, Leonhard Kaas, Heinrich UUkkivi y Friedrich Karm. Entrenador: Bernhard Rein
Goles: Knut Kroon (SWE) 7', Lennart Bunke (SWE) 10', Bertil Ericsson (SWE) 13', Torsten Bunke (SWE) 43’, Leonhard Kaas (EST) 47', Richard Kuremaa (EST) 61', Bertil Eriksson (SWE) 70', Sven Andersson (SWE, PEN) 79'.*

10/10/21-Farlington Marshes and some from home
Before coming out today it was lovely to take in flowers in the garden yellow, orange and white ones the orange ones I always enjoy looking at with a petal fallen from it resting on another, as well as bright purple hebe with some bits still in flower. I enjoyed seeing a pretty common drone fly hoverfly on some lovely purple buddleia which excited me in the garden as well as a couple of garden spiders I took a macro picture of one. I took the first two pictures in this photoset in the garden.
We then made it a weekend of coastal marshes today visiting Farlington Marshes after Lymington-Keyhaven yesterday. They are two of the reserves we have known longest and have a strong history at so it was nice to go to them together sort of. The last time I was here was in the spring on a day in May, the season symbolized by Painted Lady and oilseed rape seen well alongside a standout moment of 2021 of birds for us that day. Today berries and seasonal waterfowl spoke of the turn into autumn we are in now.
I took the third, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth pictures in this photoset today of views and nice interesting sky scenes at Farlington Marshes on another mostly sunny afternoon illuminating this precious area of marshes and the sea well. At the bottom of the seventh picture and in another one I took and tweeted today is a nice hill area which is always so distinctive as a point to look at in the landscape when at Farlington in the distance, and in the other picture zooming into it made it really interesting as I saw it in a new light. And when zooming in on the laptop I noticed within the scene in front of the hill was Hayling Island oysterbeds across the water where we quite regularly go.
It was lovely to see some pretty Pintails shining in the sun at times and one dwarfing a Teal our smallest duck which was beside it which was interesting to see on the lake I took and tweeted a photo of this and inspiring sounds and sights of the first flocks of Brent Geese coming back to this stronghold for them. A bird that for me represents the Portsmouth area where we were so well with the harbours as one of the key birds for this area which in autumn and winter it is so important for which I am so proud of Hampshire for. Another part of the area which is a haven for wildlife, Tipner West is under threat of development. I have been following Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust’s campaign to stop this:https://www.hiwwt.org.uk/tipner so it just made me feel good to be enjoying Brent Geese in the area today. Masses of Black-tailed Godwits tucked together at the side of the lake and two drake Mallards having a splashing tussle on it which I took the fourth picture in this photoset of were other highlights on our first looks here today.
As we walked round and also back this way it became a day of flying birds and birds of prey. Twice over the lake and also over the grass this reserve is famous for as we have seen before in years we saw some Mute Swans as well and these were spectacular sights with the splendour of the view of it. I took the fifth picture in this photoset of some I do love photographing flying Mute Swans. A Buzzard soared firmly up overhead by the lake too which I got the sixth picture in this photoset of. When at the lake on the way back I was excited to see two birds of prey troubling some smaller birds in a field. It transpired it appears that one was a Sparrowhawk and the other what I initially thought they were a Kestrel, for a Sparrowhawk then paraded over the water. The female’s beautiful plumage was a treat to see as the richly coloured reedbeds shimmered in the bright autumnal sunlight. A took a photo I was pleased with of the Sparrowhawk which I tweeted. Then a little bit later a characteristic for the reserve brown Kestrel did fly over and hover.
Hawker dragonflies, I believe migrant and a bright green Brimstone butterfly were among the insect highlights here on a pretty warm October day.
Wildflowers I enjoyed at Farlington today included some late really giant looking hogweed also known as cow parsnip with a bit of it in colour but more now shadows of what it had been, key for the habitat rock samphire and Michaelmas daisies/sea aster, ragwort, chamomile, more lovely bright buttercups and remnants of dock.
On the way home tonight we called in on my sister and her partner’s new place which I hadn’t seen yet and it was nice to see it. They have a really nice garden which is pretty big with lots of trees and flowers like vervain, fuchsia and types of heather and other vegetation in and it’s good for wildlife too, we saw a Red Admiral on an oak tree as well as Starlings, House Sparrow, Woodpigeons, Robin heard and Herring Gulls squealing nicely as the sun began to come down which was nice on another beautiful day for weather. This evening I enjoyed photographing the new moon and a nice bit of red sky which was lovely to observe when we got home. A lovely end to a phenomenal wild weekend for us. Wishing you all a great new week.
Wildlife Sightings Summary for Farlington Marshes: Three of my favourite birds the Brent Geese, Buzzard and Little Egret, Mallard, Pintail, Teal, Moorhen, Little Grebe, Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Black-tailed Godwit, Snipe, Cormorant, Grey Heron, Mute Swan, Herring Gull, Black-headed Gull, Stonechat, Robin including entertainingly on the reedbed not somewhere I had seen one before, Starling, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Rabbit, Brimstone, Migrant Hawker, little moths, spider and midges too.
