Conclusion: it was okay. There were parts I genuinely liked. There are things that also bug me to no end. The soundtrack from the original series would’ve fit way better and a lot of times it sounded like an off brand marvel track. Acting and cgi was a lot better (at times.) An improvement on the first one, and a semi-worthwhile watch if you have nothing else to do and you like fma. Cannot and will never be a substitute for the original obviously. Seems like less of a cash grab and more of a genuine effort this time which I appreciate. Overall? 6.5/10

The Dreaded First Day of School (single dad!jimin)

SUMMARY: On his son’s first day of school, we learn that the badass, leather jacket wearer, and tattoo clad single dad might not be so tough after all. Or maybe, his soft little son isn’t as pure as he ought to be. (In short, Jimin’s baby is growing up and he’s not prepared for it.)

GENRE: fluff, humour, maybe angst if you squint hard enough

NOTES: So Jimin isn’t supposed to be a mean or awful dad here. He’s just still not totally equipped to be one even after five years now. This might become a mini series with Ms. Y/n being Haneul’s teacher in the future. Who knows? Also, the photo is not mine.

What the actual heck is this??

Jimin has seen a lot of crazy things in his life but this, whatever is happening in front of him, is something he truly cannot believe.

You see, today is his son's, Haneul, dreaded™ first day of school.

The kid was up until 3 in the morning, crying his eyes out. He kept begging Jimin to not let him go, saying things like “I’ve been a good boy.” or “I don’t know those people.” or “Please, daddy, I don’t want to go!”

Half of the time, Jimin didn’t even understand what he was saying because he was crying so much.

The worst part is that Jimin had half the mind to give in to all these excuses and to just let Haneul attend school next year.

Contrary to popular belief though, he’s not entirely an awful example of what a father should be. In general, yes, he’s done a lot of questionable things. But in particular, as a father, he does like allowing his son to eat whatever junk food he wants, watch whatever is on the tv, or letting him up way past his bedtime (as late as 4am).

BUT he still has a smidge of decency left in his being and he actually wants his son to grow up decent.

(Which for the most part, is going along fine since Haneul is probably one of the sweetest and softest kids he’s ever seen. How though? Jimin has no idea.)

So with tired eyes and barely 4 hours of sleep, he dragged his son to school.

Even during the drive, Haneul was still adamant about skipping school and all the while, he kept using his cute crying voice that ALWAYS turns Jimin into mush.

Not this time though.

“It’s gonna be okay. You’ll meet a lot of friends and you’ll play with them! It’s gonna be fun, I promise.” This is one of the many things he said to lift his son’s spirits up.

All his efforts are still not enough to pacify Haneul as the tiny boy kept throwing a tantrum. Jimin even had to carry him after getting out of the car and during the entire walk to the school gymnasium where the assembly is, Haneul held his arms tightly around his neck.

To be completely honest, Jimin thought that it would be embarrassing but actually, he found the entire thing quite endearing.

Maybe it’s the narcissistic prick inside him that’s talking but seeing and hearing his son say that he’d rather spend time with him makes him feel like perhaps he’s not so bad of a dad after all.

Which brings us to the present.

To reiterate, Jimin cannot believe what’s happening.

One moment, his son is clinging to him for his dear life, then in an instant, he watched him grow up right in front of him.

In the worst way possible.

Not to be dramatic, but it was like watching his entire life slip away from his grasp.

The beginning of the end started when Jimin pointed to these three boys and insisted Haneul to introduce himself.

Boy, oh boy, oh boy, BIG mistake on his behalf!

He probably should’ve pushed his son to the “nerdier” looking kids. That would’ve helped him in the long run, as well!

At first, he watched in awe from a far as Haneul progressively turned less tense and more comfortable with those boys. They started with cute small smiles but it quickly turned into wildly animated gestures while comparing their Paw Patrol themed trolley backpacks.

“That’s my boy! Already making friends and it’s only been 5 minutes.” Jimin proudly thought to himself.

Okay, maybe Haneul is going to be fine. All that crying thinking Jimin did the entire night was for nothing! His cute soft son can totally do this.

Now, Jimin’s life altering moment comes. The time to actually say goodbye is here.

A teacher announces that they’re taking the kids to their respective classrooms and even if they cry or make a huge fit about it, the parents or guardians should stay where they are. They should refrain from “babying” their child.

Alright, now’s the time for Haneul to cry again! There’s no way he doesn’t cry even just a tiny bit…....Right?

Jimin makes eye contact with Haneul and, without any second thoughts, proudly mouths “I love you” while pointing to him.

Normally, Haneul is quick to return the gesture. Heck, he even goes as far as drawing a huge heart with his tiny pointer fingers!

But today, he doesn’t do that. No no no no no!

Instead, Haneul discreetly looks around him to check if anyone is watching him then……….

He shakes his head towards his father then faces back to his new friends.

Gasp! What is this???

Jimin has never felt so betrayed in his entire life! Not to mention, by his OWN son too.

This irks him so much.

So much so that he stands and gets close to his son, opposing the teacher’s instruction of letting their kids be.

Bitch, no. He’s getting his “I love you” from his son no matter what.

As he walks towards Haneul, it’s apparent that the kid had somehow done a complete 180 from his mood 10 minutes ago.

How can this be? How is he suddenly so cold towards his own man?

When he finally gets to Haneul, he literally, no joke, had to call his name 4 times to get his attention. The actual audacity of this kid!

“Hey, Haneul. Daddy’s gotta go!” Jimin says with his world famous “no eyes” smile.

Haneul’s face drops.

Bingo!

This kid is about to get a huge reality check or so Jimin thinks he is.

He’s waiting for any signs of despair, a sniff or maybe some glassy eyes but nothing happens.

Come on, where are the water works?? Where are all the hugs and kisses???

Haneul is like (・-・) to Jimin.

O-okay…….

“...”

“...”

“...”

Nothing???

“There’s a lot of scary strangers here……”

Okay, so that was really mean for Jimin to say bUT HE ONLY WANTS TO SQUEEZE EVEN JUST A DROP OF AFFECTION FROM HIM. Sue him!

Haneul finally opens his mouth.

Jimin quietly anticipates his son to return to his warm and loving self that he still doesn’t quite know where he gets from...

“So what, daddy? I’m a big boy! I don’t need you.”

(´⊙ω⊙`)?！

Uhm exCusE mE, but W H A T??

Needless to say, that statement hurt Jimin like a buttcheek on a stick.

However, he’s not gonna break away from his badass persona in front of all these people, especially around these little shits that they call “children”. He has an ✨𝓪𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓬✨ that he strictly abides to, people!

And frankly, he’s not gonna let his son walk all over him.

So without any word, Jimin leans down to give Haneul a kiss. If he’s not gonna receive any affection through words then fine! He’s gonna get it through a different way.

Jimin’s lips are almost in contact with Haneul’s plush cheeks. They are literally a hair away that Jimin can feel the heat emitting from it but all at once, that heat is gone.

You know why?

Because Haneul is quick to do that matrix shit where he bends his back to avoid his father’s lips.

Then he saunters away, leaving Jimin hanging.

Jimin calls him a couple times but again, he did not look back.

Alright, then. He doesn’t normally raise his voice towards his son (nor disciplines him tbh) but oh boy, oh boy! This kid is practically asking for it.

He doesn’t give a fuck if he’s five, no son of his is gonna be allowed to treat him like that!

“HANEUL! GET BACK HERE. NOW!”

Well, that got him looking back towards his father.

Jimin points in front of him to which Haneul begrudgingly complies after taking a peek from his new found friends.

Haneul hears the other boys snicker behind him as he trudges towards his slightly pissed father.

When he’s standing right where his father wants him, Jimin leans his cheek down again for him to kiss.

Now, the other boys are blatantly laughing at him.

Maaaaaaaan. He can’t be a laughing stock on his first day of school! He needs to be as cool as his daddy!

As Haneul contemplates his life choices, Jimin patiently waits for his kiss. There’s no way Haneul is gonna reject him for the third time in a row within a span of two minutes!

Within a few seconds, he feels Haneul’s lidol babie hand against his cheek.

This has got to be one the softest moments they have shared together. AND it’s in front of all these people!

Jimin is about to place a hand over Haneul’s small one to caress it but then Haneul pushes his face away.

Before Jimin is able to process what just transpired, Haneul is already strutting towards the other kids, feeling like a king or a boss for bitch-slapping his own father.

Who does he think he is to act like this towards Jimin iN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE??

This is what happens when he lets his son spend too much alone time with his Uncle Jungkook and Uncle Taehyung.

But to be fair, Haneul is still Jimin’s son at the end of the day so…..like, maybe he shouldn’t be too surprised??

Yet, still, he truly cannot believe it.

All it took was 5 minutes and a rowdy set of friends, then his kid has grown up.

He apparently “doesn’t need him” anymore, according to the kid.

To think that Jimin got up early to make him those cute bento boxes. He even specifically made them look like various pokemons that Haneul fancies!

Wow. Just. WOW.

-rictor avis: queryn is a generic sailor on the pirate ship, rictor is the surgeon/carpenter for the crew, he’s a huge tall crow man, and is equally or perhaps more creepy than queryn. they hang around together and give everyone weird vibes. rictor is mute & queryn isn’t, but he says very little out of choice (he doesn’t speak the main language, idk common or whatever, very well) but they like to sit in the crows nest together in silence most hours of the day when theyre not working. everyone even their crewmates thinks they might be up to some weird shit. their dark secret? theyre just a cute couple.... they just like to hang out. they bonded with quiet, intense looks when queryn was first rescued dying in the swamp and brought on board and rictor mended his wounds. it was tender. absolutely nobody else knows theyre a couple even tho they don’t keep it a secret. theyre just chill

-garran korrash: garran is the bosun and is a literal/figurative grizzly old bear, and as well as being queryn’s manager he’s one of the only people who he’s really chill with. garran was the one who insisted they stop n help him out, and queryn’s been grateful ever since. he doesn’t say it bc he hardly says anything, but he shows it in hard work

-sonya perlace: like almost all of her crew, queryn would die for captain sonya. he comes from a pretty harsh society where the strong survive, and even tho he never quite fit in there, he really respects sonya’s strength & leadership.

2 Fears: even tho he’s a pirate his biggest fear is drowning since he nearly drowned before. he has a lot of nightmares about it. he’s also creeped out by elliot. cause what the fuck even IS that?

1 Element of their backstory: p much the only backstory he has is that he was part of this society of amphibian/lizard people in the deep swampy area of the continent that’s cut off from the rest. he was out hunting but got badly gored by a huge aninal (idk what, like a Bigger Lizard.. theres always a bigger lizard) and couldnt make it home. he started sinking into the bog but couldn’t pull himself free, then the area began to flood with torrential rainwater and he cried for help. luckily sonya & garran happened to be trekkin through the jungle and heard him

-sonya perlace: he acts the begrudging deckhand who’s resigned himself to his life, but he is 100% devoted to eventually killing her. she killed his mama and he has been waiting for his moment ever since, he’s even had opportunities to leave the crew but has stayed so he can keep close to her. it’s fully like, would have a picture of her with daggers & darts in it, if he had such resources

-niphea perlace: niph is the captain’s daughter, the first mate, and the reason elliot’s still alive - she persuaded sonya not to throw him off the ship along with his mum. he has understandably mixed feelings abt this, and he rarely shows it, but she’s always been an advocate for him and treated him fairly so he does like niph more than anyone, despite himself. also she’s his closest in age on a ship full of adults. he.... tries not to think abt the fact he plans on killing her mother in return cause that’s a bit awkward isnt it

-aidan moss: quartermaster aidan doesn’t like things he doesn’t understand, and he doesn’t understand what elliot is, so he goes out of his way to be awful to him, tending to delegate his own jobs to elliot at every chance he can get & generally insulting him. elliot tolerates it bc he has to. but make no mistake this dude is no2 on the kill list

2 Fears: i don’t think he has a lot of fears because he’s already been through some of the worst things imaginable. i don’t even think he precisely fears drowning/dying at sea, because he’s been focused on the image of how his mother died for so long, & imagining doing the same to sonya, that it kinda no longer affects him?  but he also saw his dad die over a long period from wound infection and i think that must have made a traumatic impression on him, so i imagine he’s probably at least repulsed by decay/rot

1 Element of their backstory: so elliot is the only human character in a world of animals basically... i mean this is major novel spoilers but when tf am i ever gonna finish that.  he comes from a very remote island of remaining humans, descendants of the few who survived nuclear disaster a long time ago. when he was small he and his parents were exiled from the island for breaking its rules (yea, as tends to happen w small isolated communities, things got over the top cult-y) and sent out in a tiny boat to fend for themselves. his dad died slowly while they drifted in the ocean, and he and his mum were near death when they were picked up by sonya’s crew, who were like what the fuck are those??? they kept them in the hold to discuss what to do w them, but elliot’s mum, thalia, tried to break free, attacking niph when she came with food. as punishment sonya made her walk the plank, and that’s where it all went wrong yknow. woops this isn’t 1 element is it. oh well

Do you like the Evil Within 2?

Yeah! Certainly not as much as the first one (i was not immune to being sad they left out fan favorites Jojo and Ruvik's Cube)

The rest of this post is me rambling about things i didnt like about the game, and then things i did like (most of my issues are how they treat the female characters tbh)

Its missing kind of the action-noir-gone-horrifically-wrong feel of the first game. The scare factor also suffers bc our player character has been through this before, hes a veteran at dealing with this crazy shit, it doesnt phase him anymore and by extension it doesnt phase the player. They really like tripled down on the Evil Corporation thing and both the intrigue and horror suffer for it.

This game did not drink its respect women juice (the first one didnt really either, case in point: Everything About Kidman) Sebastian is surrounded by 5+ female characters and only 2 of them survive (and one of them is his 7 year old daughter hes spent the whole game trying to rescue... and yet they never bothered to give her any kind of characterization or agency. A highly empathetic and supernaturally powerful little girl in a monster-infested hellscape?? HELLO???? Lily really had the potential to be the most interesting, sympathetic, and complex character--especially as she slowly lost her innocence--in the WHOLE GAME, but she was just sort of relegated to Plot Device McGuffin) The rest of the female supporting cast are killed off for Sebastian's Man Pain. In fact, THIS ENTIRE GAME IS CENTERED AROUND SEBASTIAN'S MAN PAIN. Torrez is a walking stereotype, shes literally just Vasquez from Aliens. Hoffman was the most likeable and believeable, except when it Turns Out She Was In Love With Liam Or Whatever (psst, guess what, i dont care. Also O'neal was kind of a dick anyway? I dont care x2)

And you know who i SUPER dont care about? Bland-White-Bread-And-Mayo-Sandwich Myra. Where's the no-nonsense firecracker of a police lieutenant Sebastian married? Not here, thats for sure. Her entire personality is "mother" and "worries about stressed-out husband". We got more characterization of Myra in seb's jornals from the first game, where she never even made a physical appearance! Horror media does this SO MUCH, women are either A. Sexy Lamp B. Hurts Men (Sexily) C. Mother or D. Innocent Virgin. It sucks. Do better.

The story lacked the "digging up old buried memories" and "theres more to this than meets the eye" of the first game. It felt too...... Straightforward. Everyone told Sebastian the truth. EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY WHAT IT SEEMED. It all felt too simple, too easy, like there SHOULDVE been something else beneath the surface. And yet there wasnt. (I watched markipliers playthrough and i loved his theory that Kidman was actually Lily. It had such potential. Kidman's entire resume for the police station was fabricated, who's to say the rest of her past wasnt fabricated as well? It would retcon a lot of stuff and like 80% of her backstory from the DLC, but you know games like this arent above retconning important shit, and at least it wouldve been sacrificed for something with actual intrigue. Maybe it wouldnt even retcon anything! Consider: tiny Lily is taken by Evil Corporation and dropped off in a non-nurturing environment that would lead her to become the kind of person who would willingly join & work for an organization like Mobius. At least wouldve been a nice excuse for why Kidman and Lilys face models looked so similar... other than... yknow.... "WomEN ARe hArD tO DRaWwwwwee")

Okay okay ive been ranting for long enough. It probably makes it sound like i kinda hate this game, but i dont! It certainly doesnt hold the same place in my heart as the first one (which i still have very glaring issues with lmao Kidman deserved WAAAAAAY better), but i do like it! It brings back salty, grizzled, tsundere Sebastian Castinellos. It brings back spooky monsters that kill you dead. It brings back having a fun theatrical over-the-top villain who takes himself a litte too seriously.

I love Stefano. Probably not in the way some other fans do, but i love him as a ridiculous theatrical over-the-top villain. He sucks! And i love that he sucks! I love him BECAUSE he sucks! Hes terrible and exaggerated and completely up his own ass and ITS GREAT. He isnt as ACTUALLY THREATENING as Ruvik was (even in his bad assassin's creed cosplay. I could go on and on and on about why Ruvik is simultaneously a ridiculous AND frightening antagonist and how much i love it but uh..... maybe later) but hes such a FUN villain! Hes the kind of pretentious art snob shitheel i cannot STAND irl, but in this game i LOVE to HATE him. Hes just SO over-the-top you kinda wonder if he actually subscribes to the pretentiousness he spouts, or if hes just being Exceptionally Extra.

The other villains? Theodore was.... forgettable. His monsters were forgettable. (Its like how i completely forgot that Frank Manera was a character in Whistleblower for like... 5 years lmao i guess this game also kinda followed that "having multiple named/characterized antagonists in one game" thing that Outlast did) Myra, i just didnt care. Her final design was kinda cool, i liked the red clusters of insect eyes. Her monsters werent really gross enough to be memorable. The only reson theyre gross at all is bc they kinda look like theyre made of semen. (I checked the wiki and apparently Myra's white goo is "psychoplasm" and her monsters lost 99% of their gross factor. I just dont care.) The Administrator literally just looked like a 3D human model of Maxwell from dont starve, and i have to laugh every time i see him. Hes not terribly threatening, all he does is threaten characters to work faster and doesnt actually follow through on those threats. He doesnt even make fun threats like HABIT or anything. He thinks hes so powerful and ominous that his mere presence will frighten the player but hes just kinda all bark and no bite. Hes The Big Bad Company Man so you know hes gonna get whats coming to him, and you know Kidmans gonna be the one to do it to him, so hes not even that much of a threat. Hes whatever.

Stefano definitely got all of the coolest monsters. Many Arms Buzzsaw Lady was terrifying and i love her. And OBSCURA was just *Chef's Kiss* Anima was cool, she kinda looked like a mix of Laura and Samara. The Harbingers were neat, but really only bc ive got a thing for gas masks. The rest of the monsters werent really unique or weighty/threatening enough to be memorable. Now the first game is a fucking TREASURE TROVE of unique monsters *muah* you got Sadist, Sentinel, Keeper, Amalgam, Heresy, Laura, Shigyo, the Twins, Alter Egos, and im probably forgetting some!! But holy FUCK!!!!! And if we're includong the DLC?? MOTHER FUCKING SHADE. SPOTLIGHT LADY. LIGHT WOMAN.  SEXY LEGS.  Whatever you call her, i fucking love her. Her design is so simple. Helmet. Sheet. Legs. Her voice? Unnerving as hell. Love it. (Also i just personally love the diving helmet. Also like you know how a lot of games have a spotlight mechanic where you have to avoid the light and if it lands on you, you're fucked? LET'S MAKE AN ENTIRE MONSTER OUT OF THAT. She's PERFECT.) Oh and also those weird crawling exploding dudes. They made gross sounds and it was great. (Tbh Keepers still probably my favorite, if only for horny reasons)

TATIANA HOW HAVE I NOT FUCKING TALKED ABOUT TATIANA. Shes like the ONE female character that i fucking LOVE in the sequel. I love how they finally gave her a personality, and that personality is literally just "fuck you, Sebastian" Oh GOD its great shes SO FUNNY. I just.... god i love Tatiana lmao. I love how she makes you kinda uncomfortable too, like she knows something, but she wont tell you bc youre stupid. I didn't like the kind of "all-knowing guide" thing they did to try and make her creepy (like she's a "guide" but then also turns around and is like "no i wont tell you what you need to know bc you """have to discover it on your own""" or whatever") it serves no purpose since she never gave you any actual information, and it didn't succeed in making her creepier, all it did was frustrate me. She was at her creepiest when she IMPLIED she was doing something behind the scenes or knew something you didn't know and then didn't elaborate (not REFUSING to elaborate, just... stopping talking and leaving the statement to hang in the air, like the "getting her nails done" and "its been a long time, detective" and the "now what makes you say that" from the first game) and she was at her funniest when she was interacting with Sebastian from the sidelines, her snide little comments and sarcastic clapping cracked me the fuck up. Tatiana not treating Sebastian seriously was a fantastic touch for a game that otherwise would probably take itself so seriously it would double back around to being silly. Without Tatiana, it would've been just another male-centric gun-toting "survival horror" game, and for the most part, it was just that. She was definitely a much-needed source of slightly derisive comedy and a definite high-point for me, even if they didn't so a great job of making her creepy or fulfilling her "purpose."

Oh I also really love the COLORS in TEW2. The first game fell into the trap of having the colors be totally washed out that a lot of horror stuff does, but it also kind of worked for it. Especially with the color pallette of our main villain and how the whole thing was His World. The saturation of the colors in the second game is a breath of fresh air and gorgeous to look at, and you can even see the color motifs of the game change with each new villain: the game starts out with Stephano has lots of blues and purples and dark reds, when Theodore takes over we get bright orange and yellow contrasted with black and brown, and in the climax with Myra the game goes back to having washed out colors and white (and with her villain design? Let's face it: they were kinda just trying to do Ruvik again) We did get portions that were still kind of wahed out whites and greens and greys, but it wasnt the ENTIRE game, even the big blood-and-brains splatterhouse sections of the first game kinda had their colors weirdly muted for that "Horror Aethetic."

In conclusion, i do like the evil within 2, but i also had a lot of problems with it. And i complain about these problems because i like the game and know it couldve done better, tried harder, and been a LOT more than it was (the wasted character potential is my real overarching pet peeve, probably becuase i loved the characters in the first game, and character development is kind of my whole jam) . But all in all, it was still a fun monster-zombie romp with at least one entertaining villain and fun-to-look-at designs and environments. It wasn't character or horror or even REALLY story driven in the way I know it COULDVE been, but i still had a fun time and enjoyed myself.

For You ( Aubrey x MC)

A/N: Hey! I’m finally back with an Aubrey fic! It took me a minute since this is inspired by the latest chapter. Y’all know I have to rewrite that discussion that MC and Aubrey had. Our man would never stay out of this. He would stand by his woman. Anyway, this is a quick fic on how it should’ve went or imagined how it should between Viola and Aubrey. Some dialogue taken from the chapter is used in this fic also and some of it is altered. 

Summary: After much convincing from Viola, Aubrey agrees to help. 

All Rights to PB to characters, location, etc.  Viola Porchia is mine. 

Rating: PG. A few kisses here and there and that’s it. One tiny innuendo (if any tbh)

After spending their lunch together Aubrey and Viola walk from his car toward her trailer. As they step side by side he reaches to intwine her hand into his and squeezes it softly as they close the distance toward her dressing room. He looks from their hands to her eyes and catches her smile shyly before she leans her head on his shoulder as they continue to walk. He felt his heart flutter and he couldn’t help but feel content. 

“You know out of not being able to speak or see you,this is what I miss the most. Just being able to see your beautiful smile.”

“Aubrey...you’re making me blush. I’m starting to believe you’re goal is to make me turn red at every chance you get.” Viola says as her cheeks flush but her smile brighter than ever.

Viola removes her head from his shoulder as they reach her trailer. He holds the door open as she enters and closes it once there both in and he immediately pulls her back so that their bodies are inches from each other.

“My goal is to express how amazing you are. From your intelligence, your kindness, and to your bravery. The list goes on. I just don’t know how a guy like me got so lucky.

Wrapping her arms so that they circle around his neck, Viola  grins at Aubrey as she leans forward.

“I’ve been asking myself the same question.”

“I guess we really do fit together in every way.” he whispers, recalling his words from their conversation earlier.

He closes the gap between the two as he kisses her lips gently. Their lips move together until Viola breaks away first, her head resting underneath his chin.

Breathlessly she says.

“You got that right.”

Catching his own breath Aubrey looks down warmly at Viola.

“So am I forgiven?”

Viola pulls away and pretends to mull over what he just said.

“Hmm I think your missing two things, Mr. Watson.”

“Really? Enlighten me.”

“For one, you mentioned lots of kisses and well, after deliberation you fell a little short.”

“Well then, I’m more than happy to fix that.”

Smirking Aubrey leans and kisses her passionately and slowly. He lets one hands cup her cheek as the other tangles in her hair. As he kisses her intently and eagerly he feels as if he were a man stranded in a desert.  His thirst visible right then and there. His hunger for her lips increasing by each second. He removes his mouth from hers and lets it trail down her neck, pressing delicately kisses as he goes. 

“Mhmmm...Aubrey…” Viola trails off.

His mouth vibrates on her sensitive skin as he speaks.

“How am I looking now, Ms. Porchia?”

“Oooh! Hmm..much, much, much better.

Aubrey reluctantly removes his lips from Viola’s neck and smirks at her.

“Good. I’d do anything...”

He lets his fingertips trace up her neck and landing on her pouty lips before finishing his sentence.

“...to please you.”

He drops his hand and watches as he notices her shiver. Clearing her throat she manages to keep her slightly shaky voice from faltering anymore as it is. 

“Ahem, since you mentioned it. There’s still one last thing.” her playful tone tone fading slowly.

Confused for a moment as to what else there was to do, it clicked in his mind.

“Ahh. Yes, you’re right. Viola, I want to in person say I’m sorry. I had no right to get so upset, especially how hard of a day that was for you. I truly am sorry and hope you’ll forgive me.”

“Thank you, I appreciate that and appreciate everything you did today. If I’m being honest I couldn’t stay mad at you even if I tried. But there’s something I need to tell you. I need your help.”

“What’s up.”

“I found out that Carmichael is fraud. He’s a shady politician. ”

She continues into detail about everything she’s uncovered, her collaborative investigation activity this past weekend with Ellen. 

Shock was etched across his face. 

“Unbelievable!”

“I know. I was just surprised as you are. Unfortunately there’s more. It sees Charlie has a vested interest in Northbridge News. And he’s putting a lot of money in that vest pocket. I hate to tell you this but I followed him and Alec. I got them on film exchanging thousands of dollars” she says gravely. 

Shaking his head in angry manner he speaks. 

“This is horrible. We have to do something.”

“I’m glad you think so too. Luckily, I have a plan. I need you on our people, and telling everyone to keep rolling and the deviation from the script is fine.”

More confident with her plan she holds herself more proudly. 

“We’re going to let everyone know that he’s been bribing Oak Hills and Northbridge News for months.”

Aubrey listening intently falters at the thought of dragging the studio into this scandal. There’s so many people who work at the station, who depend on this job. 

He questions Viola quietly.

“You’re going to include the station in all of this.” 

He watches as her face morphs into a mixture of  confusion and shock. 

“I have to, don’t I? I can’t just tell half the truth.”

“Viola…the entire studio would shut down. It might even affect our ability to find new work, if this gets out.”

He can see the annoyance in her eyes 

“What do you mean, if this gets out?”

“Viola...hear me out. I’m not condoning any of this. Hell, I want to take both Carmichael and Alec down but I’m thinking of the big picture. This information will have an impact on everyone working at the studio.”

“Aubrey?! If Carmichael wins the election then more than just us will be impacted. More than the city of Northbridge, but the entire state!”

Aubrey steps closer and rests his hands on her arms. 

“I understand that. I’m not saying for us to not take action. I’m saying we should think carefully before we act. To make sure the studio won’t be harmed. I’m not talking about just our jobs. I’m talking about Tony, June, Maggie, and all the others. What will happen to them if we come out saying Northridge News is corrupt? This potentially has damaging effects to everyone and a vast majority is unaware that their livelihoods are at risk. We owe that to everyone who’s employed here to at least think of another way.”

He stares at her trying to decipher the cryptic expression on her face as she stands silently. Her voice breaks the still air softly. 

“Oh Aubrey, I think it’s too late for that. The election is just around the corner. I wish you’d stand with me. This is the most important thing I’ve ever done...and I expected you to be apart of it.”

She pushes his hands off her and walks to the other side of the dressing room. She wraps her arms around herself as she looks in the mirror. 

He deflate as she walks away from him. He hates disappointing her but he’s trying to be fair.  He wants to be able to protect everyone. But it seems that there’s a choice that has to be made. One or the other. He’s unsure what he’ll choose though. 

Still facing away from him Viola speaks.

“You know, somehow he figured out my father was in a coma. He knew I was too close and did the one thing he does best and there his money. He backed me in the corner. My father or my reporter’s integrity” 

She turns around to face him. She takes note of the tortured look in his blue eyes. 

“Both of those are dear to me. Yet, that asshole forced me to choose. So I chose my father’s health. Carmichael took care of the bill and that’s why I was throwing softball questions his way. I felt so horrible the entire time. Having to compromise my ethics as a journalist was the hardest thing I had to do.”

“Viola…”

She ignores him and continues on. 

“I felt so small and powerless. The same way those farmers feel. I can’t just stand aside and only worry about my needs. I did that and look where it got me. Men like Carmichael don’t deserve to be in office,the citizens of Northbridge deserve better. Yes, I thought about what this will cost. My dream, jobs, but it’s the right thing to do. “

“Please...Viola. Reconsider.”

“I did. Many times Aubrey. And every time I was compelled that this is the only way. When I think back to all that’s happened, I realized I’ve accomplished my dream and though it may die, that means I can have a new one. Aubrey, if we did lose our jobs you can go back to chasing your dream.”  

Aubrey shifts from foot to foot. 

“Viola, I’d love to. But I don’t think I could. I’m not ready nor-“

Viola walks back from across the room and places her hand firmly yet gently on the side of his face. 

“I know it’s scary to leave the security of a good thing. But maybe this is a sign to take the leap of faith. To follow your dreams.”

“I suppose you’re right but still I’m concerned-”

“You know this is the only way. Please say you’re with me. I can’t do this without you.”

He gazes into her hazel eyes and sees the desperation. That’s when the last of his resolve broke. He’s thoughts are everywhere but he knows deep down she’s right and he knows that no matter what, he’ll do anything for her. 

“If I have to choose between you and the studio…”

He wraps his arms around her waist so she’s pressed against him and staring deep within her eyes before planting a soft kiss on her lips. 

“I won’t stand in your way…”

With a dejected look Viola starts to pull out of his embrace but is tug back immediately into his arms. 

“...Because I’ll stand by your side.”

Relief floods her face and she excitedly grabs Aubrey by his shirt and kisses him deeply. He kisses her back equally with the same amount of effort and emotion. They pull away briefly before their foreheads pressed together as they smile sweetly at the other. They understand what’s at risk but as long as their together having each other’s backs, they know it’s worth it.

The Excessively Detailed Headcanon Tumblr Meme - accepting

Padme

She’s too long been a queen and a senator to wear anything that isn’t at last a little sumtuous. Even if the outit’s design is simple, the fabrics are rich in textur or detail or finly woven. She tends towards elegant and elaborate gowns for official duties and more comfortale two-piece ooutfits for travel and utility. She has pretty much always had a dresser of some sort, so even though she’d no longer a queen she often had someone on hand to help her get into or out of the more elaboarte outfits. 

As rituals go, she tends to always choose the next day’s outfit the night beforehand and have it pressed and laid out for her to get ready int he morning. It simply cuts down on the time needed first thing in the morning.

Rey

The kid is used to scrounging up whatever she can to dress herself. This resulted in the same style being repeated over and over what whatever materials she could obtain. She does now own a few other outfits, but most of them are pretty similar to what she grew up in, basic, utilitarian, neutral colors. The only ritual she kept was putting her hair back in the same style from her childhood so that her parents would be able to recognize her one day. After knowing they were gone for good she does eventualy end up leaving it down more often, or tied half up. 

Tahiri

Tahiri isn’t all that worried about clothes. You can usually find her in a pair of pants and a comfortable top and jacket, or a flight suit. The one thing of absolute note is that she almost ever has shoes on her feet. She grew up in the deserts of Tattoine raised by Sandpeople so she didn’t really do shoes and no matter how old she gets she still hates them. She owns a pair of boots and a pair of nicer, flat heeled dress shoes and those are literally all of the options on her closet. In her younger years you could sometimes find her in the typical Jedi robes, but as things got more complicated she dopped that and mostly dresses like a civilian.

Tenel Ka

There are two sides to this, because she is a queen of a cluster and as such sometimes must present herself elegnatly. Or well, as close to elegant as Hapes gets. TBH they’re prone more to sexy than traditions modest elegance. Low cuts gowns in brilliant colors and shimmering materials. Open backs meant to draw the eye. But don’t make the mistaken assumption that she can’t still kill a man while wearing these things. When she doesn’t have to put on a show, she can be found in more utilitarian things. Leather body armor like pieces, simple tops and loose pant sets, whens he was young she favored short shorts. (Please, consider 13-18 year old Tenel Ka in a leather underbust corset and daisy dukes and combat boots you’re pretty much got her canon outfit.) She does find that she sets adise more time for dressing, becasue she only has one arm and it can be difficult to fasten yourself into outfits without two working hands. She does also have to have her clothing altered or custom made to account for her arm missing, so that sorts of counts as a ritual. 

Ja’reli

Tiny goth gun wife is pretty much the aesthetic. Hot climates mean black shorts or pants and a tanktop typically in black or white. Cool climates mean layers of the same, rich leather jackets or heavy wovens that would look boring but for the detailing. She is fond of buttons, toggles, zippers, trims, etc. She laso has little to no shame about her body and has been known to bare midriff or wear sheer fabric tops that would be obscene but for her undergarment. Sheloves her tech and is alwayswearing a comm, the newest earpeices, etc. She is also kind of a dramatic being in terms of accessories. Short chains, collars, some that extend into body wrapping bands, ear cuffs, etc. So long as it doesn’t interfer with her movement she’s game to try it out. For formal events you’re going to get mucht he same, but in sweepingly dramatic gowns. 

In terms of rituals, she never leaves the house without her blasters and vibroknife and she spends a few minutes each morning cleaning them, chekcing her straps and holsters, and putting them all on. She checks the fit, the quick releases, and the safeties before ever leaving the front door.

I can see why they cut it, it’s a lovely song but it goes nowhere - it’s nearly five minutes of yeah we get it she’s leaving.

I find it far too interesting that they kept the change from “bashful child” to “curious child” that they made for the song in its original context in the musical

Knowing Me, Knowing You:

taking Sam’s song from the stage show and giving his younger self the same song? works so well!

having young Sam and young Donna sing together, and Sam and Sophie together? also works well!

why did they shorten the ah-has, everybody knows them so it sounds weird

Angel Eyes:

finally some good fucking food

seriously this is the first song thus far that I’ve actually put on my phone

it’s just FUN and I’ve missed Tanya and Rosie throughout, oh my god

this really highlights how much better the ensemble was done in the first movie - like it’s a bit weird how enamoured these generic young adults are with Sophie, whereas the ensemble in the first movie had a bit more age and appearance range and were a bit more of a Greek chorus as opposed to a generic workforce who really like their boss with the American accent despite her spending pretty much her entire life in Greece... but I digress

the best part of this song is definitely when Rosie and Tanya are singing

Lily’s vocals are growing on me now that I’m not looking at her being far more energetic than she sounds

The Day Before You Came:

they change “seventh cigarette” to “second cigarette” and make her work day an hour longer, she watches House of Cards instead of Dallas and reads Margaret Atwood instead of Marilyn French...

In general:

I think part of the fun of the questionable singing in the first movie is that it’s a bunch of Hollywood heavyweights giving it their all and clearly having a blast while they do it. If we don’t know who they are, and their singing is a bit meh, it’s just... not quite so fun.

not enough energy - were they singing on set like they were in the first one? because a lot of the recordings are kinda lacking in guts

genuinely the fact that we get an extended version of Kisses of Fire that never appeared in the movie when we don’t get Hasta Mañana is going to annoy me until we get a proper recording of Helen Sjöholm singing it (prayer circle for the DVD honestly) because that was the best sung song in that entire movie

oh wow there’s so much?

1. season 7 was weak over all but had some really great episodes. (”help”, “same time same place”, and “storyteller” all come to mind.) I just thought the arc fell a little flat. 

2. i’m in the minority that i liked willow’s magic addiction arc. i wish there was a way they could do that without killing tara….you know what? there WAS?  i would argue we could still get wrathful willow and the resulting fallout and recovery if willow merely THOUGHT tara was dead.

3. tara was the OG buried lesbian and i’m gonna go all dark in a sec.

4. if tara had to be dead, then willow should’ve learned to live single in season 7 instead of being forced with a new love interest she didn’t have any chemistry with. kennedy is okay, she just came off as pushy because of how it was written.

5. sometimes i love xander, and sometimes he tells buffy that willow said to kick angel’s ass when she didn’t say that or gives big lectures to buffy about how she needs to chase after riley or leaves anya at the alter and just FUCK that. his individual episodes are great and relatable and i wish he could’ve just been that guy.

6. season 1 xander is not at all charming tho.

7. i had a lot of problems with season 6 buffy, but really enjoyed a bunch of the episodes and really related to buffy’s PTSD. it was the most realistic portrayal of the aftermath of trauma that i’ve ever seen.

8. i hate spuffy. i just found it extremely icky and kind of abusive. like what you like tho.

19. ultimately this is a show that was progressive for its time and doesn’t really hold up especially with regards to race (the whole “gypsy” thing, immediately killing off black characters and/or making them villains the few times there were some) but it’s still super important and we can forgive it for things because it was the ‘90s. we just have to expect better from media now where buffy failed.

20. also i think there was a tiny moment where buffy had her first gay panic and it was about kendra but then she shrugged it off and forgot about it until faith happened. but this is just speculation based on one scene i digress.

Some tropes that relate to her:

Sour outside, sad inside - Literally her goal is to be rude and distant to get people to leave her alone, especially other shinigamis who want her to fight with them

Training the gift of magic - Her focus on Kido and the spells you can learn is something she hasn’t truly dropped over the years

Sincerity mode - Shockingly sincere and kind to those she knows needs it in the moment or when she’s more willing to be honest. But often it just comes off…not sincere at all based on who she is.

No lie, she’s made of majority of sass and blunt commentary. She can be considered a negative optimist in most pleasant cases. Often coming off as an angry mother hen, she refuses to fight for the longest time, or even exit her gigai. Preferring to seal away her power and zanpakuto but not discarding it as she can still be seen using her Kido skills while in her gigai and always carrying her sword in a tiny toy looking keychain. But she will let you think what you will of her if you make assumptions of why she’s hiding even then danger arises. “It’s not my problem, think what you will of me.”

A lot of her base behavior is rooted into her past and to understand that you have to understand what happened to her 40+ years prior to the start of the series. she caused the death of someone she trusted and blamed her bankai since it was the literal cause. Cursing her powers and herself for hurting people dear to her she fled to the living world to try and clear her head. Eventually meeting Urahara and literally just losing track of time being happier there with him and his shop doing small things and painting her emotions into the canvas.

This obviously changes over the series and she becomes more “helpful” to the causes that pop up but she never truly drops her rough attitude towards most people.

Relationships

Urahara & co - Her employer of sorts

Urahara is the one who helped her when she was down and lost with herself. She’s been working for him for a long time and it shows based on their relationship. It’s both one where she threatens to beat him for acting unfavorably or slacking but also she highly respects and trusts him. One of the rare people she would stick her neck out for. She’s also learned a thing or two from him as well.

Ururu & Jinta are both troublesome and charming to her. She’s not above scolding them for acting up (Jinta especially) but tries to make sure they don’t get into troublesome/dangerous situations if she can help it. Jinta likes to act as if he’s her boss which results in a broom to the head most times.

Tsukabishi is probably the easiest for her to get along with mostly because he respects her space and she respects him. Especially considering he was the former Captain of the Kido Corps which has resulted in her pestering for input on her own Kido skills and work.

Ichigo & co - Bunch of crazy kids she sometimes associates with

Ichigo is problematic and overworks himself and his position in the universe. She’s not a fan of the hero types but really over time it just becomes concern and motherly worry for him.

Orihime is both a doll but also troublesome. She’s a sweet girl but also somewhat of a naive person and that can rub her the wrong way.

Ishida is the one she knows the least and instinctually the one she will avoid the most.

Chad is the only normal and least annoying one to her.

Majority of other shinigami - Part memories of foolish people

Rukia & Toshiro are two she finds amusing since are both small, work orientated, and ice powered, she holds some respect for them over time.

Renji is one of the more interesting people she can butt heads with in a more friendly way. She does better with people she can push a bit but knows which buttons to not press.

Yumichika & Ikkaku are sometimes paired in her mind because they are usually found together. She likes to give Ikkaku a hard time and call him names but in reality she knows he’s stronger than her and actually likes the look of his bankai. Yumichika has style that she admires but wishes he could expand that and make Ikkaku wear better things.

Hisagi & Rangiku are just more in her age bracket. While she is familiar with Hisagi thanks to the academy and didn’t mind his company they obviously lost touch. Rangiku is…a mixed bag, she prefers when the woman is more serious but it up for drinking anytime with her.

Kyoraku is her former captain and can explain why she acts how she does with Urahara when he gets a little perverted. She admires the man though, and does feel sorry for leaving as she did but wouldn’t dear admit that.

Visored - Fascinating but partly tragic group of people

Shinji is partly still a mystery and she doesn’t know much about him but he stands out to her and there is an air of curiosity. But that tends to happen when she encounters more flippant and casual people.

Hachi is the one she would aim for first due to his skill set. A hunger for more knowledge is what she desires but I’m sure she isn’t against a kinder soul in comparison to her own edge.

Arrancar - Interesting and different from what she’s used to seeing

Nel sometimes can be in the same realm of how she feels about Orihime but with more power. Her kid form isn’t something she can sometimes stand though but the adult form is also somewhat of a handful to her.

Grimmjow is a hot mess to her, or rather he makes her feel like one. He fascinates her at first but also is very aware of his immense power. She can’t tell is she’s afraid of him or not and after he “helps” get her to put up a fight she makes sure to explain she’s no where near his level and isn’t someone worth trying to first again.

Quincies - Stuck up gremlins

Fullbringers - They’re confusing to her at most and the group she never really interacted with personally too much

If you REALLY want to know about anyone specifically just ask I’m not making this a mile long kjdsfjhkdf I will most likely have an opinion in mind for them. Bleach has a lot of interesting characters but I tried to stick to ones she has interacted with.

Strength (or lack of in a lot of ways)

Strength & Health, she’s as average as you come for a shinigami (if you wanna get fandom technical her Hakuda (hand to hand) & Zanjutsu (swordsmanship) are decent but can be a bit average and nothing fancy)

But while its average, she seems far more comfortable with using staff based movements and techniques rather than a sword. This can be seen with her Shikai and other similar items such as a broom

Speed she’s pretty quick naturally so her Hoho are fairly strong (she’s more of the type to want to block and evade then straight on fight you)

Kido/Spells is where she shines though, in the academy and after she prided herself in how proficient she quickly became. And she does like testing out different combos and mixes of spells to see what she can create with that. Also her has learned to use her Kido in par with her Bankai for a higher success rate.

Zanpakuto Info (aka something that’s still being roughed out with a friendo)

Aoi Mizu (is the current name I’m leaning towards)

Normally for most of the series run, its hidden in this little toy, keychain form that she carries around. But normally its just a normal katana when its not crammed small.

The Shikai becomes a blue Halberd and released with the word “Cleanse”. She can alter the length of the staff to some degree, and there is a refreshing, watery scent to it when she swings it. To her touch the blue blades feel cool and wet.

The Bankai part is still under development but for the moment when released a certain radius around her is engulfed into an orb like space that is always raining. The purpose of the rain is to continue until the entire space is filled, effectively aiming for a timed race of air. While she’s typically fine if the water raises to a point where there’s no air you can easily escape by knocking her out as it only stays active if she is conscious or she chooses to end it. This is why she has trained to hard in Kido, she uses the different spells to try and trap to delay her opponent to get them to the point of submersion to knock them out or worse.

Basically she thinks her bankai is rather pointless thanks to her average strength and fighting skill.

ok he's not actually super developed cos i just made him today but he's mr ray from finding nemo lmao!!!!

obvi like lisa he's an elementary school teacher??? AND IDK HOW IT WORKS IN THE US OF A like i know obviously over here when you have a primary teacher they're your teacher for all lessons? idk if that's the case in america tho i feel like it might not be???? but he's english!!!! and he's a geography major :) he's super duper into geography and travelling and shit!!! 

but when he was like a Teenager he was dead like rock and like thought he was the Bees Knees LMAO like he thought he was SO COOL but he wasn't he was just a massive dork that thought he could start a band but nobody wanted to be in his band cos he's a nerdass so he started this one man band in his garage and held concerts that only his mum and kid sister would go to and he was one of those kids that would try and strap all these diff instruments to himself to make it work LMAO so he had like a keyboard and then he'd blow into his trumpet and strum his guitar and if she was feeling generous he'd get his kid sister to do the *ding* of the triangle or bash some symbols together and he thought he was so rock n roll but he just wasn't LMAO

ANYWAYS in spite of that he's a very talented musician in fairness to him and even tho he had no friends at school and was the big loser he was just rly sweet and nice to everyone???? he just!!! likes people and likes making them smile!!!! he's just a big smiler!!!!!! lmao and at his old school that he taught at they ended up in a bit of a rut where they had no music teacher? so he took on the role to help out while they found someone to fit the position but then they realised just how good he was and how much the kids love him so it kinda stuck and he got back into music and as like oh!!! i missed this!!!!! wow!!!! so now that he's in cherry grove he's like!!! WANNA TEACH THE SMOLS LOVE THE SMOLS THEY'RE SO UPBEAT AND FULL OF WONDER GOD BLESS 'EM!!!!!! and so even tho he majors in geography and excels in music, he teaches everything obvi!!!! 

but geography and music classes are his favs and he loves hyping the kids up? and like where lisa sorta teaches her kiddos and is dead hippy and gives them play times where she feels they deserve it and just plays her guitar and sings to herself while they're working n shit he likes to like?? actually teach lessons with music sometimes??? which is super unconventional maybe but he's got that whole like school of rock vibe where he wants kids to know that they can be anything and that any career is viable and that you don't always have to be academic! or athletic! or musical! or you can be! any of those things!! and that's ok!!! and so he has all the fun w music class especially cos he assigns them all instruments and is like YOU'RE IN THE BAND and lets them explore their talents and if they don't wanna be in the band and play or sing he's like that's cool!!! u wanna manage??? do costumes??? what do u wanna do COS I'M SO ON BOARD!!!!! he's just a really cheery bab lmao i haven't given him any angst (YET?????)

but yeah! and he loves the beach and the ocean and stuff like that obvi cos u know he's based on a stingray so, lmao. and he loves taking kids on field trips omg!!! to the aquarium? CHECK!!! to musicals? CHECK!!!! he's a pacifist and he's not one for arguing but he does like to be assertive and get his way if the principal doesn't want him taking the kids on field trips n stuff but he does it in such a soft and mild way that he sorta convinces them that it's for educational purposes and wins people over with his warm smile ^_^

also i like to picture how he dresses and he def goes to work in like really clipped and expensive looking (but tbh probs scavenged from second hand shops lol) suits that are really prim and proper looking but he loves wearing like suspenders and braces and he never wears a tie (the occasional bow tie IF HE HAS TO but he hates wearing ties) and his hair's always scruffy and messy and his shirt's always crumpled w the top button undone so it's that kind of Look(tm) where he's dressed all smart and suave but Not? so basically like every hot dude at the end of a wedding reception after they've discarded their tie and have danced into the night, except that's his every day Look

DINAH CARROLL:

OK SO she’s a childhood best friend of alice's?? and like when bunny sorta lead alice away they drifted a bit? like they're still /friends/ but dinah's not at all on the drug scene and it's just not the life for her and she doesn't rly venture into that kinda territory at all? so where alice fell into a bad crowd she sorta left dinah behind? and they sorta miss one another terribly and think super highly of one another but maybe they don't necessarily have anything in common anymore and it's kinda sad for them cos they can't seem to fall back into old patterns.

i was thinking that like they both kinda chase after the white rabbit but alice falls down the hole w/o dinah? and i was thinking about how alice sorta idolises bunny and maybe dinah did too but got left behind kinda thang?

cos especially in the book and whatnot alice and dinah follow white rabbit and alice falls down the rabbit hole after him!!! but leaves dinah behind!!! and she spends all her time in wonderland talking about dinah and how much she misses her, and there’s a part about where alice talks about how everyone in wonderland hates dinah but she thinks she’s the best cat in the world, so essentially alice and dinah (in the rp) are best friends and alice goes down her route with bunny and dinah feels a little left behind and alone. but she never stops loving and missing alice? and vice versa? alice still thinks highly of her and though her new friends don’t necessarily think very highly of dinah or even like her in the slightest bit, she’ll defend her relentlessly even when they aren’t still talking/hanging out/etc

but i was thinking about like cats and their agility and their love of climbing and stuff!! and i was thinking of making her like really into things like rock climbing and abseiling and shit????? and like free running/parkour n stuff lol.

and she can be soft and affectionate and ^____^ like all cats but she can hold her own and she's got a bitta bite in her too ya know?? like a soft lil feminist kitty. and naturally she Loves Cats lol. and she's scared of dogs? i was thinking about how alice like proudly tells people about how dinah's v good at hunting and catching her dinner (ie mice and stuff?) and thought maybe my dinah could be like into archery or smth? not /actually/ hunting but she's a dab hand w a bow and arrow maybe or smth.

also she's like tomboyish and girly at the same time? so she loves a good flower crown and prettying herself up but she's not afraid of getting herself all roughed up and dirty and looking scruffy? and she likes playing around w her image and just trying new things and dyeing her hair and doing as she pleases :3

she's not necessarily good with kids? not so much that she dislikes them, cos she doesn't, but she's not rly used to altering herself or her behaviour to suit others? like she is who she is with everyone? so around kids sometimes she forgets that she can't just be blunt if it suits her or sarcastic or w/e and that she's gotta be a lil bit softer and sorta adapt and stuff

idk her sexuality just yet but she’s very much into girls and guys and loves kissing pretty girls and has never had a Real or Serious relationship cos most people don’t take her seriously which is okay!!! she’s just coasting through life but once she develops a crush her lil heart is all aflutter and she’s got a bad habit of crushing on girls who won’t like her back and it makes her a bit Sad

her parents own a donut shop called the rabbit hole

she has two sisters named caroline and edith (one older, one younger!) and a little brother named albert

she has two bunnies and a cat! her cat is literally named kitten because she’s unoriginal, and she has a white rabbit named white rabbit (cos unoriginal), and another white rabbit named snowdrop (cos dinah’s kids were named snowdrop and kitten lol)

MOHINDER PATEL; 

okay!!!! so mo!!!!! his backstory is a bit topsy turvy til i develop it in its entirety cos i wanna make sure it's all solid lmao but.

BASICALLY mohinder's parents were explorers and stuff? and they travelled the world with mo at their side? they were archaeologists for the most part, but before they set off travelling, ever before they had mo, his father was a professor and his mother was a veterinarian. :) anyways!!!! one day they were travelling and mo was only about 3? they got into a boating accident. they were travelling along the river and the current grew stronger than they'd anticipated, and they crashed into the bank. mo's father was driving and he passed away on impact, but his mother crowded over mo's body, shielding him in an attempt to save him from harm? obviously distraught and terrified, she wanted to stay and mourn her husband but her priority was getting mo to safety, and so she bundled him into her arms and ran to find help. they were stranded alone in a jungle though with no sign of civilisation and she was certain there was no hope until she eventually ran into a small clearing that essentially resembled a tiny village? there weren't many inhabitants but they were willing to help and they took them in, took care of mo, and tried to nurse his mum back to health. sadly she died tho from her injuries as she'd been so shocked and eager to help mo she hadn't taken any notice of how severe her own injuries were. 

anyways mo eventually was integrated into this tiny band of people, and lived his life in this jungle, growing up surrounded by the people who saved him. there were only about 20 of them, and they were all men. there were no women and so the only woman that mo ever truly knew was his mother, who he lost far too young? he still has little reminders of his parents, things they scavenged from their bodies/the boat/etc, but not much memory of them.

anyway he grew up in this sorta deserted jungle and had no real basis of human interaction cos he didn't know anybody out of that circle? he was surrounded by nature and animals more often than he was people, and for the first few years of his life there he barely spoke a word, only really opening up around age 6 or 7, finally finding the courage to speak, though still a boy of few words.

he was taught to hunt and defend himself as they weren't near any sort of real town and they didn't have things like tvs or basic coking utensils even? so they had to hunt and fight for their food. mo /hated/ it. he learned archery from a young age and became exceptionally skilled, but he never liked to kill for his food as it didn't feel right. so when he was a little older he started trying to find new ways to feed himself through plants and stuff? he wasn't very clever though so a lot of plants that he picked and whatnot were really dangerous and he got really poorly for a while and was kinda scolded for it and had to revert back to the ways he was taught.

he's a scrappy fighter even though he can stand up for himself and fight there's nothing clean or proper or educated about his techniques in fighting cos it's all based on the hunting and everything hes had to do to stay alive??? so he's a proper savage if he's ever in a fight lmao

he loves animals so much though? he doesn't wanna hurt them cos when you grow up with mostly animals for company they become your family and he works to protect them, not harm them??? he used to put himself in danger a lot by going days w/o eating cos he would just refuse to kill for his food.

he doesn't rly know how to harness and express his emotions cos he's never been taught real, human behaviour? he's never had any basis to learn from either. so he's got no concept of social norms and ordinary behaviour?

he spent all his life just like climbing trees and swinging from branches w the monkeys and drinking from the lakes w elephants and integrating himself w the animals rather than the few humans he Did know?

he was thrown into this big scary world that he didn't understand with cars and boats and plains and television and aksjdlkasjd it was kinda scary for him cos he Knew Of these things but he'd never rly been in big cities surrounded by skyscrapers and stuff? and now that he's that bit older he's growing and learning things but it's still scary. foster families were always sending him back into the system cos they didn't want him? they didn't wanna deal w him and his tantrums and his way of life. he's always walking around barefoot w/o a t-shirt on and raking mud through the house and doing as he pleases and eating w his hands and has no manners or anything aklsjdkalsjd

anyways!!!!!! being in the real world was scary and he'd never seen a girl before (aside from his mum) SO EMOTIONS RAN HIGH AND WERE CONFUSING AND!!!!!!! so he was just like ok!!!! SCARY!!! but nobody would ever go near him cos they thought he was rabid or some sort of wild animal and they were kinda frightened of him and people picked on him and he was treated like a weirdo to the point he was pulled from school and underwent like private classes and stuff. which for him was kinda weird and confusing cos he was once again being taken away from like civilisation and people after getting used to it to a degree? but yup.

he's quite playful and carefree but he's dead stubborn? dead mischievous and likes playing tricks on people but that requires having friends to trick lmao. and he's got a bit of a temper and can be easily stressed out and gets dead anxious and nervous in loud and crowded spaces sometimes? like really claustrophobic. he's so used to following his own rules too sometimes it's hard to adapt and he attaches himself to soft people who don't treat him like smth of a pariah and don't cringe away from him but he never rly meets people like that so it's not easy???

but the basic human kindness shown to him and he'll attach himself to you and he gets really overprotective and if he sees someone messing with someone he cares for he just Loses His Shit? like he's got a temper and he's not been taught to reign it in and he hates cruel people?? so one time for example he had a foster dad who was abusive and he straight up attacked him and punched him in the face in defence of himself and his foster siblings and he was sent back into the system for it even tho he thought he was doing the right thing? he's tamed to an extent and learned since but he's still a bit wild u know?? one step at a time and all that

but he loves singing at the top of his lungs no matter how bad and dancing barefoot through the woods and doing as he pleases and he's found music really calming so when he was first introduced to like, an ipod and earphones and stuff it was such a marvel for him and he found that just plugging earphones in helps him quiet all the other sounds and calm him down :)

he wants to explore and travel some day just like his parents did cos he does sorta miss the wild and stuff but he doesn't think he's got the social etiquette or common sense of even the intelligence to ever make smth of himself cos of the life he's lead

anyways he's now in cherry grove? essentially he was tracked down by his parents family and he's just been moved to cg to live with his aunt and her husband and it's all scary cos they're Family but he doesn't Know Them and he's in a new place with new people and ahhh!!!! SCARY BIG WORLD !!!! so ya lol there's more on him but my hands are cramping up if we're being honest
