Captain's log: Day 20

I went to therapy yesterday for the first time since April, therapist says my co captain seems to be my biggest stressor. I've been depressed for the last few days and it's been hard to take care of Mercy. My Mom has been extremely helpful with making bottles and giving me breaks. It's not bad to ask for help, but it makes me feel dumb and inadequate when Mom has to take my screaming baby so I can sleep for a few hours.

I keep reflecting on Mercy's birth and how much of a miracle she is. The odds were against her since the very beginning and she's still here and my life has changed for the better because of her. I still can't believe it.

i think the difference is, aziraphale and crowley did the same miracle together, half and half. in the past, they had done them for each other (the arrangement) or in sequence (bastille, accident with anathema) or alongside (1941 church) but not both on the same one. they thought/hoped that by each of them only doing a tiny miracle, which would pass unnoticed on its own, that they would be safe. but they had never tried that before, so they didn't really know. instead, combining that way set off the alarm.

so in s2e1 of good omens, aziraphale tells crowley that “i think heaven would notice even if i were to perform a very minor miracle” but then he’s seen throughout the rest of the season (and possibly before he says this line but i can’t remember actually) performing miracles, right ?

like a random one off the top of my head for example is when he is changing around/decorating the bookshop before the ball (and not to mention the miracle he put so that everyone talks from that era and the outfit changes).

so why isn’t he worried about those ? or why didn’t they cause alarm bells to go off in heaven like the gabriel hiding miracle did ?

Based on my gaming experience, so might need some explaining: right after the Disco Elysium Jamais Vu update, when I first discovered that Kim can get different icon and jacket, there weren't yet any clear instructions how exactly to make it happen. The only two discussions I found online on the subject said that it's connected to Get Kim to Wear *The Jacket* achievement (implying Pissf****t one), but how precisely to get it was unclear and ‘possibly bugged, you might need to try several times’ yadda yadda (and after encountering the Pigs bug it didn’t sound that far-fetched).

Without going into many details my stubborn ass had to do three whole runs (not counting multiple reloads and replays) before finally figuring out you simply have to finish entire game in a hard-core mode (no need to bother with piss jacket at all). So when I FINALLY, after several weeks, on the verge of desperation hurried down and saw Kim in the new jacket, me and Harry both practically weeped from joy~ *to the point I was genuinely surprised there's no dialogue to aknowledge the change (and after all of the self-imposed sufferring I kinda needed one, so...here we are)

the thing about g/t is that it has a lot to do with math and physics. which, as someone who personally cannot do either, is initially very scary. but it turns out no one else here can do math either, and we bond over this. and when some fellow g/t fan CAN do math? and talks about physics? we hail them as a wizard. truly gods amongst men.
