I love the idea of the "Disney Princess", simply because the public's idea of a Disney Princess and Disney's idea of a Disney Princess don't actually match up.
Because to the public, a Disney Princess is a type of character in Disney movies. And to Disney, "Disney Princess" is a specific brand with specific characters.
The Disney Princess brand was set up in 2001 after the head of Disney Consumer Products went to a Disney on Ice show, saw hundreds of little girls in generic princess halloween costumes, and went "Wait, why the hell don't we sell Princess dresses?"
Rather than trying to give a dozen movies, many over a decade old, their own individual marketing pushes, they come up with the overarching Disney Princess brand, and launched it featuring ten initial characters:
Snow White, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Esmerelda, and Tinkerbell.
Esmerelda was soon dropped, probably because Hunchback is a pretty dark Disney movie; and later so was Tinkerbell because they'd started production on her own line of straight-to-DVD movies, leaving the line with eight Princesses.
And now here's the clever part of the branding: when they release a new movie with a new Princess, they don't immediately fold her into the Disney Princess brand. That would cannibalise sales from the movie-specific merchandise. So they wait a year or two for merchandise sales to slow down, before having an official coronation ceremony to add the new Princess to the group.
(And presumably they cab recycle unsold merch under the Disney Princess brand.)
So Tiana got added in 2010, Rapunzel in 2012, Merida became the first Pixar entry in 2013, Moana took three years to be inducted in 2019, and the most recent is Raya in 2022.
So that's the official Disney Princess lineup: Snow White, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Moana and Raya.
Now I know what you're thinking: there's a pair of very famous names missing there.
And like I said before: they wait for the merchandise sales to slow down before bringing new characters under the umbrella. Moana seems to have been quite popular, taking three years for Disney marketing to feel comfortable folding her into the brand.
But Frozen still sells like fuckin' hotcakes, even a decade later.
So we have a funny scenario where the two most popular Disney Princesses aren't actually Official Disney Princesses because they're too popular.

Some things I loved about Once Upon A Studio (in no particular order):
Tinkerbell and Mickey interacting as dual mascots
The long-shots following characters through the studio (most notably from Peter Pan to Moana)
TREASURE FREAKIN PLANET
Everyone in that elevator was a character with little patience
The robot from Meet the Robinsons! I forgot his name 🥲
MILO THATCH FROM ATLANTIS
Gaston singing to himself about himself
The Mad Hatter making puns
Tiana correcting Pinocchio that the photo was happening right now and not tonight
Prince Charming losing his shoe on the staircase
Prince Eric’s dog stealing Prince Charming’s shoe and Charming yelled “Eric! Get your dog!”
Cinderella shouting “go Max go!”
Jiminy Cricket being the last solo during the group cover of When You Wish Upon A Star
The first Disney Princess singing with the last Disney Princess (and also Mulan who represents the middle of the Disney Renaissance)
Feed The Birds from Mary Poppins playing in the background of Mickey looking at Walt’s photo 🥲
Mickey saying “After you” to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (Oswald was Walt’s first character, so everyone in this lineup came “After Oswald,” including Mickey)
DID I MENTION TREASURE FREAKIN PLANET BTW
Belle and Beast singing together 💕
Winnie The Pooh!!!! And all his friends of course!
Don’t think I didn’t see those Black Cauldron characters lol
The 101 Dalmatians watching that one Chernabog animation and being warned that they’ll get nightmares XD
Kronk
Quasimodo’s beautiful singing voice
Minnie covering her eyes in the boy’s bathroom
The dog from Oliver & Company (I forgot his name 🥲) driving around with Vanellope
Tarzan and Jane!
KIDA FROM ATLANTIS
Timon calling Olaf “frosty”
Genie helping Olaf while making a joke (🙏 Robin Williams)
Lucille from Meet the Robinsons drinking coffee with the tea gang (that Cogsworth was berating)
BOLT! :D (you can also see Penny in the crowd at the end)
The brooms from Fantasia!
THE SKELETONS FROM SKELETON DANCE
Absolutely zero Pixar characters 😔 this is a Disney Only event
There’s a LOT to talk about in this short but this is just a simple list of things that I really liked :3
I hope someone on YouTube makes a list of every cameo cause I wanna see them all identified
Also I didn’t see any references to A Goofy Movie so if anyone happens to find Powerline in the crowd or something lemmie know
Edit: I’ve been informed that A Goofy Movie was straight-to-DVD and therefore doesn’t qualify as real Disney 😔
#disney#once upon a studio#disney100#disney 100#oswald the lucky rabbit#<- the only character I’m tagging

Just like many others, your AU put me back into my fairy phase :)
I had the original three movies on DVD and literally watched them all the time when I was younger, so much so that I’m quoting everything on my rewatch now, even the sound effects 😂.
Also, as a kid, I never liked Vidia, she was always too mean for me. But now she’s probably my favorite (which is insanely hard to chose given that I love all of them so much, they’re iconic), and I can’t tell if it’s because I’ve grown up, or because I’m naturally inclined to like Fast Flying Fairies now because of your Leo 😭
I just have a few little questions too
In the first movie, we see Queen Clarion gives Tinkerbell pixie dust and teaches her to fly for the first time.
How painful do you think it was for Donnie to be unable to do that when all his brothers could?
And what were the reactions of the other fairies? Were they shocked to see his wing?
Sorry for the long ask! Thank you for bringing this amazing story to life! 🫶
SQUEEE YES YES YES IM SO GLAD I GOT SO MANY PEOPLE TO WATCH THE MOVIES AGAIN!!! I'm pretty sure I had all of them on DVD when I was little? Barring the Neverbeast, I think, since I'd kinda grown out of the Pixie Hollow fairies by then :,)
Fun fact: Vidia was always one of my favorite fairies, even as a kid!!! Honestly, looking back it's,,,, probably mostly because I was gay for her but like WHATEVER SHE'S STILL A FANTASTIC CHARACTER AND I LOVE THE DYNAMIC WITH HER AND TINK AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT SHE WAS COOL BECAUSE SHE WAS ONE OF THE ONLY FAIRIES WEARING PANTS AND AS A SEVEN YEAR OLD I THOUGHT THAT WAS REVOLUTIONARY FOR SOME REASON LMAO
To answer your questions: it would definitely be emotionally painful for Donnie to watch that happen, but honestly, he'd probably be a lot more confused than anything at first? Keep in mind-- learning to fly is like, the FIRST think Tinkerbell is taught to do when she arrives in Pixie Hollow. She didn't know anything else! Little newly-born Donnie would probably just be really confused as to why his brothers are learning to fly and he isn't :( later on, once the initial shock has worn off, someone would probably gently explain to Donnie and his bros about the significance of the damage to his wing.
So, yes, definitely painful! But probably not immediately. Honestly, all four of them would just be really confused at first-- like, "hey, why aren't you teaching Dee too?"-- and then the explanation + additional context would finally help them understand. Then BOOM feelings

'THAT TIME OF THE YEAR'
The time of year I always look forward to more than my birthday is the season of giving; Christmas. It’s a time when families come together to celebrate, and for me, it has always been my favorite season. I love the December breeze, the ringing of church bells for Misa de Gallo, and the sound of children’s carols. What makes Christmas special is that it’s the only holiday when I can spend time with my loved ones—those nearby and those who live far away. On regular days, they are busy with their own lives and some are tied up with work. When I was little, Christmas was the only occasion when my father could take a break from work and celebrate with us. I would be so disappointed and would retreat to my room in tears if he was called away to work, even on a holiday. I remember one particular dinner where I cried at the table—not out of sadness, but because I was overwhelmed with joy. My family was shocked and asked me why I was crying. I told them it was because of a song playing in the background that reminded me of the past, and they laughed. I thought it was a bit silly, but it was genuine emotion, and they were right—I was too emotional! Like many children, I looked forward to receiving gifts at Christmas, but I also understood from a young age that my parents had to budget their money to sustain our needs. Because of this, I hesitated to ask them for presents. Instead, I received gifts from kind neighbors and my godmother. An elderly couple lived across the street from us, and every Christmas, they would give gifts to the children in the neighborhood, including me. I was very grateful for their kindness; I even received a teddy bear from them once. My godmother also did her best to give me presents. She had given me a Christmas gift bag before and told me to open it only on Christmas Day. I waited and counted the days, but the day before Christmas Eve, I couldn’t contain my excitement anymore and opened it. Inside were a fairy doll, a cute heart-shaped purse, and a big Bingo biscuit. My mother saw me opening it and just laughed at my impatience. I also remember receiving “Pamaskong Handog” packages filled with Fudgee bars and Milos, which made me so happy. My mother let me eat as many as I wanted. No matter how many Milos I finished—since I preferred to eat it rather than drink it—she would let me. I could also watch Tinkerbell with my cousins because they had a DVD player, and I enjoyed playing around freely with them in the neighborhood, which I couldn’t do on regular days. Those were the moments I missed the most during the Christmas season of my childhood. As I grew older, Christmas changed for me, but I still look forward to this special holiday every year as an adult. The magic of the season hasn’t disappeared; it has simply transformed as I have grown.

Who’s going to troll you like Taylor Swift..?
And why she's gay.
Taylor has told us time and again that she sees herself as a lonely millennial woman living in a cabin in the woods with her cats. And she's also told us that she will do anything to prove a point. Well it turns out she might have been trolling us from the very beginning.
This is going to be both a light hearted look at the Easter eggs Taylor has left along the way, as well as a more serious attempt to understand the deeper meaning behind it too.
"I tell lies!"
During the Jimmy Fallon box of lies skit, you pick out a box off the shelf and try to bluff the opponent whist describing the boxes contents. It's no surprise Taylor picked out the numbers 1 and 3, and Jimmy picked out number 5. They’re her favourite numbers, but the connection to what was in the boxes have some fun surprises.
Taylor opened up the first box to reveal a pair of binoculars with corn in each end and a lanyard that says 'I can see corn'. This is a reference to the pair of binoculars from the picture to burn music video.
Taylor lied about what the item was, excitedly saying that it was a wizards of Waverley place DVD with a weird ribbon around it that says I see corn. Claiming she was doing a double bluff. The corn is a reference to the tinkerbell character played by Julia Roberts. There I so much we could read into this but I'll let you use your imagination.
Jimmy chose the number 5 box and was pretending it was too heavy to carry, a reference to the sadder track 5 songs. He pulled out a diorama of Chewbacca from Star Wars who was taking a bug for a walk on a leash through the park. Taylor has recently swallowed a few bugs during the eras tour, but upon further research I found this is a joke from the good will hunting movie. When a hot girl walks up, Will's friend claims he'd swallowed a bug to cover up his erection.
The lie Jimmy told about the item is that it was a family of pinecones playing trouble. He talks about sheet music and how they're playing the song. If you look closely you'll see a rubber chicken that makes the sound of the goat associated with the viral song.
The final box Taylor opens is number 3. It's a grey book with grimace on the front, with a tab on the side to open it. Inside there's a couple of holes cut with a burger and fries in the hole.
She describes that the book is a biography written by a fuzzy monster with seal hands, and then says that grimace the purple monster is on the cover. Jimmy believes she's telling the truth. But the way she described him at first reveals grimace wasn't the only monster she was talking about.
Both of Taylor's boxes mention Selena Gomez. A few of her previous roles match the style of the book Taylor described. And she was also in the Disney games, which is very UNO coloured game show.
But the interesting thing is that the purple monster referenced matches the description of both grimace and barney. Funnily enough Selena was also on the Barney show too.
“I’m not loving it”
Taylor really is a millennial, but out of all the references to the 90's I wasn't expecting to find so many connections to Mc Donalds. A big part of the happy meals and toys that came with them was the characters on the boxes.
Taylor has showed us that she will go a long way to prove people are wrong. The first guitar she learned to play had twelve strings instead of six out of defiance. Her debut album and early unreleased music reveal how she's not afraid to sing about revenge.
The removal of the "you're gay" line from picture to burn hints at how Taylor wasn't afraid to be herself, but with increased success and fame it was removed and her pop star persona was created to appear more likeable by the masses.
What would be more iconic that seeking revenge through the most recognised brand in the world? She has taken the concept of her Tim McGraw song about how every time they hear it they're going to associate the song with her, and taken it further than ever.
This connects the fearless, speak now and red era together with the colour and costumed outfits. This seems to be a dig at her old management for the way she had to be closeted, but also a way to represent her identity. This is Taylor's Version of queer flagging.
We're still seeing references to these characters and colour combinations on the eras tour. The midnights set references the monster on the hill, we have the giant Taylor looking like Godzilla walking around the city and the purple fur coat for lavender haze.
But the reason why she wears these now is not because of Grimace but because of Barney. Taylor's use of purple glitter connects to this too. Purple is the new Taylor's Version.
"My life under the golden arches"
The red and yellow that is currently associated with Taylor and Travis being endgame is no accident. There's a strong theme of red and golden love throughout Taylor's work. And it all comes down to this...
The golden arches of the McDonalds logo create an M. If you flip the M it becomes a W. The songs about Men have always been talking about Women. Just look at how many times Taylor's sang maroon.
"Put narcotics into all of my songs
And that's why you're singing along."
And she's been telling us this since the very beginning!
13 has been her lucky number for a reason. The one for her microphone and the three for the women she loves. Taylor has always been gay, she's just watered down the Wine so we can drink it.
There are two Friday the 13th's this year that everyone is eagerly anticipating. This would be too predictable of a move, after all.
If Taylor is the 🎃 anon then what better time than October the 31st to reclaim her favourite numbers?
A tortured poet,
Kylie x

KATY PLS ANOTHER OTHER HEAR ME OUT BUT FAE HOBIE X FAIRY READER WOULD BE SO SO SO SO CUTE.
Mischievous reader who keeps playing tricks on him or just annoying him, poking him all over as they fly around in their smaller shape. Only for him to clasp his hands, successfully trapping you with a grin. He barely opens his hand and looks down at you affectionately. "Ya gon' be good if I let you out, ay?"
And you just yell at him with your mosquito-like voice, throwing up your fist in the air and tapping your foot in his palm as you pretend to be angry for how you're treated. He's more than able to understand you but plays along like he can't.
-🪦
Peter pan and Tinkerbell coded!!! Oh I loved the movie sm when I was a kid that the dvd was all scratched up bc I've watched it so many times!
The lil mosquito noise HAHAHAHHA I can imagine that Hobie is the only person who can decipher your words like
R demanding to be released: 🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟
Hobie: yes, I'll give you a plate of puddin' if you stop bein' a menace

Welcome to the Crispia Region!
What is the Cookiedex Project?
This is an independent effort by @differenttriumphdragon to make a Fakemon Dex inspired by the many colorful characters of the Cookie Run franchise. I've been inspired by all sorts of Fakemon creators on Youtube, and I figured this would be fun!
What's in the folder you linked above?
All sorts of detailed information about the Mons on this blog, plus even more Mons whose details haven't been finished yet. Everything you could possibly want to know goes into the Dex Data spreadsheet, including Abilities, Stat distribution, Movepools, Habitats, and the inspirations for each design and name!
Why are the Dex Numbers Like That?
They're derived from their respective Cookies' internal ID numbers. Each ID number also corresponds to an evolution line rather than a single mon, so all the mons based on a certain Cookie will be grouped together.
Some Dex numbers have additional signifiers for Mons that aren't standalone; dashed numbers indicate Evolution Stages, upper case letters indicate branches, and lower case letters indicate alternate forms.
Some ID numbers go unused, so when that happens, I'll probably slot in some important non-Cookie character or concept.
Are you including the crossover characters (Sonic, Hello Kitty, Disney, etc.)?
No; this is solely limited to the characters owned by Devsis and its subsidiaries. The only exception to this is Cookiedroid, who was specifically designed for Ovenbreak.
That being said, I WILL attempt to slot a similar Mon at their number if possible. (e.g. Tinkerbell being replaced with a moth-based evolution line)
When are you doing [X] Cookie?
On the rare occasion when the DVD Logo in my head hits the corner of my brain and actually lets me draw something. I'm disabled, please be patient with me.
Can I send in suggestions/submissions?
I'd rather you didn't. This is a personal project, and while I'd be happy that you want to help I'd prefer to do this myself. If you'd like to argue that X Mon should have access to Y Move or Ability, I'll hear you out, but if you're sending in wholesale design ideas without me asking for them then I'll probably delete your ask. Sorry.
If you have ideas for Mons, then by all means, you're absolutely welcome to draw them up and post them to your own blog! I'm sure people would love to see what you come up with.
Are you making a game out of this?
No. I would if I could, but I don't have the time or resources to spend on making a whole fangame. (Plus if Devsis didn't sue the crap out of me for it then Nintendo sure as hell would.)

you should watch some of the movies! they're really fun! have you seen the tinkerbell movies? i love love love those also! my favorite is secret of the wings! snow fairies!
snow is so pretty. i've always wanted to make a snowman like they do in cartoons with the really big ball and then a medium ball and a small ball stacked on top with the carrot nose and the stick arms and the coal eyes and mouth. it doesn't snow where i live though :(
-🦕
Okay I’m gonna yap a bit.
I LOVE the tinker bell movies. So much. I was tinker bell for halloween in kindergarten. My favorite movie is the pirate fairy one, when I got this ask you reminded me and I went and watched it again lolz. I love how they switch talents, also I love playing pirates so fairies plus pirates?! Omg.
I love secret of the wings too!! It’s my second favorite, I had the dvd as a kid (and still do) and would watch it over and over again. Winter fairies are so me.
When I was younger, my favorite was Vidia, and I loved Silvermist, I think I had a Silvermist doll!! But now, as an animal lover, I think Fawn is my favorite, or Periwinkle.
I love how there’s different areas for different seasons, and how fairies have different talents/jobs. It feels so right to me. As a writer, some of my stories have definitely been subconsciously inspired by that idea.
I totally wanna get dolls again, I don’t like toys with the real hair though so maybe I’ll just get small plastic ones.
I loveeee snow too!! I like sledding the most, and it’s also super fun to walk back up an icy hill because you keep slipping and falling all the way back down like a cartoon. Where do you live? (Only if you’re comfortable sharing ofc!!) I live in the pacific northwest of the US so we get lots of snow!!
I am totally gonna be making fairy moodboards now that you reminded me that I like them!!
