TIMOTHY OLYPHANT
TIMOTHY OLYPHANT
Timothy Olyphant one of my favourite actors, he played Todd Gaines in Go (1999) and was in Stephen King’s Dreamcatcher (2001).
Olyphant is presently in Thailand filming the television series Alien: Earth and has got a new blonde hairstyle and blonde eyebrows. He still looks fantastic. Good news is that the tv series will be part of the Alien series, it will be the prequel to the films and will be set three decades before the events of the film Alien (1979). As an Alien fan, I’m looking forward to it.

Mickey Altieri is one of the most underrated Ghostface killers. He was an active serial killer prior to being Ghostface, and his motive has nothing to do with Billy or Nancy Loomis' vendetta against Sidney. Plus, Timothy Olyphant did a great job portraying Mickey's crazy personality.

Carrie Fisher may have famously said of allowing her image to be used for licensed products that every time she looked in the mirror she had to pay George Lucas a dollar, but many actors love seeing themselves immortalised in plastic, and here we see Timothy Olyphant - the Marshall of Mos Pelgo himself Cobb Vanth - checking out the incredible Cobb Vanth 1/6 scale figure by Hot Toys. https://www.facebook.com/hottoys/posts/pfbid0HJP3ReRvt2UcF8dktxTnhoe8XwbKjtnQpioWVzmHhqCKzdmqYDYeUbfvRomLYkPBl Knowing the ever in-demand Olyphant is keen to return to the role somewhere down the line makes these photographs even cooler, and let's hope the enigmatic actor gets the chance. The Darkling didn’t knock on your door until well after midnight. You lay on your back staring up at the canopy bed, the faint glow of a candle guttering in the last of its wax casting long shadows above you.
He knocked once.
You let him stew, your teeth grinding as you prepared yourself for the confrontation. Exhaustion weighed you down, agitating your slowly fraying nerves. First the mother, then the son—questioning you, questioning you, questioning you. Would anything ever be good enough for them?
No, of course not. Very little was good enough for you, after all.
The Darkling knocked again, sharper this time.
Exhaling heavily through your nose, you pushed yourself off the bed and answered the door. The Darkling hesitated, his gaze sweeping over you, perhaps expecting to see the vestiges of sleep still clinging to you.
There were none to see.
“May I enter?” he asked.
Eyebrow arching, you scrutinized him for a moment, a flexing of power—would you say yes? No?—before stepping aside to let him cross the threshold.
The door whispered over the carpet as you swung it shut.
“I hope the room and furnishings are to your liking,” the Darkling said, strolling slowly through the room. “I’m not sure if you’re used to this kind of luxury.”
“The first words out of your mouth should have been, ‘I’m sorry. Please forgive my insolence.’”
The Darkling froze, spine snapping rigid. Leaning against the door, you folded your arms across your chest, waiting for him to turn and face you.
“While you may be my shadow, as you so call it,” he growled, his back still toward you, “that doesn’t accord you the right to take such liberties with me.”
“No? Well, you aren’t a king. Generals are meant to be challenged.”
“I am more than a General.”
You snorted, shook your head. “Are you here to apologize or to dismiss me?”
The Darkling pivoted sharply on his heel, his unbuttoned kefta flaring. “Your insubordination—”
You yanked the door open, the sound of bolt scraping free of the doorjamb cutting him off. “Get out.”
He blinked, a shadow darkening his face. “You dare—”
“I do dare. Daring ought to be my middle name with how much it pervades my being and my choices.”
Nostrils flaring, the Darkling visibly struggled with himself, the muscle in his jaw flexing and the shadows undulating behind him as he fought for control. Glaring at him, you gestured curtly toward the open door.
“Don’t make me ask again.”
Hands clenching into fists, the Darkling squeezed his eyes shut, exhaled softly. The cloud of frustration marring his features shifted a fraction, edging into weariness. “I didn’t come here to fight. Please.”
His heartbeat echoed in your ears, accelerating as you stared at him with no response.
You let the door swing shut.
“Thank you.” Raking a hand through his hair, the Darkling paced away from you, turned back. “My mother is a…sore subject. Anything regarding her sets me…ill at ease.”
“Parents,” you muttered.
“Yes. I’m sorry she accosted you on the grounds.”
“No one accosts me.”
You felt rather than heard his teeth grind. “Be that as it may, I apologize for her behavior.”
“It isn’t her behavior I’m displeased with.”
Squeezing his eyes shut again, the Darkling composed himself, the tension in his shoulders relaxing a fraction. “I am sorry.”
He will do anything to exploit your power.
Swallowing thickly, the unexpected anxiety undermining your iron control, you shook your head. “I don’t believe you.”
He frowned. “How can I prove it?”
“After everything I’ve done for you thus far, you still don’t have faith in me. It stands to reason that I do not need to have faith in you at this moment.”
“That is…logical.”
“After all, you don’t need me. I’m just a tool to discard at your whim, no?”
The Darkling’s gaze snapped to yours, the furrow in his brow returning. “I misspoke, but I never said you were a tool.”
“You didn’t have to. All these centuries of living, it’s easy to reduce us to tools and numbers, no? You can’t afford to think of us as people, because we’ll just die while you pretend to.”
“Never.”
The vehemence in the Darkling’s voice made your next words die in your throat. Eyes boring into yours, he closed the distance, dangerous power radiating off him.
Your heart tripped in your chest.
“Do not mistake aloofness for lack of feeling,” he hissed. “I feel every loss among the Grisha, more so those resulting from my orders. Centuries of grief have not made me immune to the pain but have worsened it.”
His conviction resonated with you even as soft warning bells chimed in the back of your mind. Anxiety clawed at your chest as you realized that for once, you couldn’t determine whether the Darkling was manipulating you or not.
“That may be,” you answered slowly, “but grief wields power over us. Are you sure you aren’t it’s tool?”
He huffed, anger flaring again. “You never hear what anyone says, do you?”
“I hear what needs to be heard, and I ask what needs to be asked.”
“Needs to be asked,” he scoffed. “The grand designs you fancy upon yourself!”
“Says the Black Heretic!”
He seized you by the collar, yanking you forward. “Hush! The walls have ears.”
Fingers closing around his exposed wrist, you thrilled at the amplifying power coursing through you. Flexing a fraction of it, you applied bone-deep pressure.
The Darkling’s face contorted with pain as he fought to withstand it.
He relinquished you.
Panting through his nose, he stared wildly at you. “The only thing that seems to wield any power over me is you.”
The temperature in the room plummeted as his features spasmed once more, this time with shock.
“Only because you let me,” you answered.
The Darkling’s lips pressed into a thin line, his breathing still not under control. Teeth grinding, he opened his mouth to speak, hesitated, then shook his head, eyes boring into yours once more. “You’re right.”
“I know.”
“Infuriating,” he snapped.
He yanked you to him and devoured you.

Timothy Olyphant - keen as he is to return to the Mandoverse - is switching franchises and joining another venerable space saga, that of Alien the TV series. Executive produced by Ridley Scott and showrunner Noah Hawley, Olyphant is rumoured to play 'Kirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Chandler’s Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult'. Whether this puts a stopper on him appearing in future Star Wars programming is unknown, although it's worth remembering that both franchises are now owned by Disney, so potential hurdles may be navigated more smoothly. Timothy Olyphant is reuniting with Noah Hawley and FX, signing on for a major role in the upcoming Alien series. Olyphant, who recurred on Season 4 of Hawley’s FX anthology series Fargo, is set to star opposite Sydney Chandler in Hawley‘s prequel to the Alien franchise, sources tell Deadline. Details about Olyphant’s character are not being disclosed. I hear he plays Kirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Chandler’s Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult. In addition to Chandler, Olyphant joins a main cast that, as Deadline reported, also includes Alex Lawther as a soldier named CJ, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, a CEO, as well as Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, Adarsh Gourav as Slightly and Kit Young as Tootles.
