Timothy Olyphant one of my favourite actors, he played Todd Gaines in Go (1999) and was in Stephen King’s Dreamcatcher (2001).

            Olyphant is presently in Thailand filming the television series Alien: Earth and has got a new blonde hairstyle and blonde eyebrows. He still looks fantastic. Good news is that the tv series will be part of the Alien series, it will be the prequel to the films and will be set three decades before the events of the film Alien (1979). As an Alien fan, I’m looking forward to it.

Mickey Altieri is one of the most underrated Ghostface killers. He was an active serial killer prior to being Ghostface, and his motive has nothing to do with Billy or Nancy Loomis' vendetta against Sidney. Plus, Timothy Olyphant did a great job portraying Mickey's crazy personality.

25 years ago, I went to my first midnight showing at the Oswego Theater. There was a line outside and myself, my sister, my brother and my friend Ben were in the back of it. It was freezing, but my adrenaline was keeping me warm. We sat near the front. The theater was packed. I don’t remember all the trailers but one I definitely did was the one for “The Postman”. I heard a guy laughing hysterically at the trailer. Years later, I became friends with my friend Mike. After recounting my recollection of this particular midnight showing, Mike revealed to me it was him that was laughing. Seeing this, as with the original, was a formative film going experience. It ended up quickly becoming one of my favorite movies of all time. After seeing it that night, I saw it four more times in the theater. When it came out on VHS, I was watching it while studying for my freshmen finals. While in the classroom for the finals, I remembered the part of the movie that corresponded with what I studied. I firmly believe watching the film helped me pass those finals. I cannot overstate the impact this has had on me. It’s one of the best sequels ever made. In a year full of solid movies, this ranked among the best. I don’t know why it has such a hold on me but I’m grateful for it. That whole sequence in NTTD when Bond in Jamaica is introduced and the camera focuses on his butt in those short shorts, thighs and slightly exposed midriff as he walks along the pier towards his house- I literally died. Like it really had me squirming in my seat when I first watched it!
