Supah App Delivers Your Groceries in Just 15 Minutes!
When I first heard about this grocery delivery app that promises to deliver your orders in just 15 minutes, I really thought they were just kidding. Considering Metro Manila’s horrendous traffic problems and usual parking congestions, you can’t even get to your neighborhood supermarket or convenience store in 15 minutes. So I was really amazed when I tried it for myself and really got my delivery in just 15 minutes! The new Supah app is destined to change the way we do groceries forever.
Supah App is the first and only 15-minute Rapid Grocery Delivery Service in the Philippines. Supah guarantees quality grocery items delivered in 15 minutes or less covering a range of popular snacks, condiments, beverages, fresh produce, dry and frozen goods, among others. All these will be delivered right at the customers’ doorsteps, or in may case, the lobby receptionist.
Supah is a game-changing app that really provides a service we all need. There are those times when we suddenly need an item we forgot to buy from our supermarket visit. Maybe you suddenly have visitors coming to the house and you don’t have enough wines and beverages. Supah lets you order all these in the app and it magically appears at your place in just 15 minutes, even up to as late as 2:00am. Isn’t that amazing?
So how is this possible? It is done through their network of dark stores, end-to-end ecosystem, and proprietary technology. I’m really still not sure how they do it, but what really matters is that they deliver on their promise. I had my order placed at 915pm and it got to my house before 9:30pm.
Launched in June 2022, Supah is committed to disrupt the way groceries are delivered in the Philippines, making things more convenient and accessible than ever before. Just download the app on the Apple Store or on Google Play and you can start using it right away.
The Supah App offers an assortment of different products, from international and local brands .This includes a rich selection of premium items across various food, beverage, household, personal care, home care, and pet care segments. Delivery fee in minimal at only P39. That's even cheaper than your parking fee at the supermarket or mall, and sometimes they even have promotions for free delivery.
Supah operates everyday from 7:00 a.m. to 2 a.m. Delivery services are initially available in the following areas in Metro Manila: Makati City, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Pasig City, Mandaluyong City, San Juan City, Binondo district in City of Manila, and both New Manila and Timog areas of Quezon City. So download the Supah App now and experience a new way of getting your groceries.

Strings of Fate
05162020
She goes South, he went North. He walks downstairs, she rode the elevator upstairs. He rides the bus, she gets down because it’s the place of her destination.
I smiled as I saw the invisible strings that tangle around them. If they can feel or see it, I am certain that one of them will trip, or choke to it.
I put the golden bow and arrow that I was holding, and touch my chin. I looked at my reflection on the well ; the well of destiny. It was deep and crystal clear. And beyond, I can perfectly see that there are millions, millions of red strings that tangle around. If people can only look to planet earth through my perspective, they can see that this world was not blue nor green. It was red. Millions of faces, all trying to chase their fate. Some that are in wrong path, many are lost. And some were on their way to their true fate. And some are lucky, that they found where, who and what they are meant to be.
People’s fate in this world was sorted. There are complex tangle, those who are often lost, confused and indecisive with their fates. Some people who belong to the complex tangle, are those who die without having the chance to find their true fate. The other one, was the simple tangle or simply the lucky ones. They are the ones who find their true fate, and live their lives happily, with their loved ones, passion, success and profession. And last was the neutral tangle, those who find their fate but still feel lost, and empty. Like there is something that’s missing. For me, they are the most unfortunate ones. They get all the things that they want, the success that they aim, but still feel empty.
My brows furrowed as I looked at the pair of complex and neutral red strings that glimmer among the oceans of string. I heaved a sigh and massaged my forehead. This kind of fate was the most complicated ones, I am seriously having a hard time on making way for these kind of people. Forgive me but I was not a God. I was just a mediator between their true fate, and their way to it. I was just a traveler who tries to pull their strings together, but in the end it is still the will of God that will lead them to their true fate. Seriously, this job is way more complicated than those job that I entered when I was still a human. I sipped my coffee and stare at the pair of complex and neutral strings, I smiled bitterly as I saw myself to them. They are unlucky.
Let me tell you a story. But to spoil you a bit, this is not a love story nor a life story. But this is a story about love and life. Difference was big.
She is Yssa, a doctor, and she belongs to the complex fate. He is Sam, an engineer, and he belongs to the neutral fate. And this is what happens when a neutral and complex fate, tangle together. It is literally choking.
15 years ago, Yssa was a stubborn and a happy-go-lucky college student. During her freshman year, she just loves living her life to the fullest. She loves to party, drink, go out with her friends and her mantra was literally “You Only Live Once”
She also loves socializing with people. She has this lovely aura that can make people fall in love with her just by seeing her smile. She is light and soft, she loves helping those who are in need. She even became a part of their school’s student council department during her sophomore year. She has the talent in music, and became prominent when she joined their University’s band. Their life is simple, she has a happy family, a religious parents and very supportive siblings. Her life was perfect — almost perfect.
Until a tragedy came to her life.
It was 4th of August, year 2005. Yssa was on her way home after attending her friend’s party, it was almost midnight. She was walking along the Timog street, as five drunk men approached her. She tried pushing them away, but they forced themselves to her. She tried to scream, to call for help, but there is no one. The rest was history, she was raped and that’s when she started hating her life.
A lonely boy. That’s what they called him.
Sam is an introvert, and socially awkward. He never mingles with anyone, he always wear his headphones because the noisy world irritates him. He was bullied during his high school days because of isolating himself from people. He has the talent in art and it became his way of expressing himself. He was abused by his father when he was a child, his mother abandoned them. His family was messed-up, he doesn’t even had people whom he can consider as home. He was always alone, alone and sad. He was used to this life, to the feeling of emptiness and sadness.
Until she met someone that changed her life.
It was 4th of August, year 2005. Sam was sitting alone on one of the benches on his favorite park. The ambience is good and quiet. He loves sitting there to feel the deafening silence and let himself consume by loneliness. He was taken aback when a girl approached her.
“I’ve been seeing you often here, you know what? This is my favorite spot, but since I always saw you sitting here, I just moved to another spot... there”
The girl pointed the bench on the dark part of the park while pouting her lips. Sam just looked at her, and never said a word.
“What do you listen to? Can I?”
Still, Sam has no word. He just removed his left earphone and handed it to the girl.
“Oh my God, they are my favorite band as well! You must listen to No More Bad Days, I do not know you but take that as a song from a stranger”
The girl smiled, and for the first time, Sam smiled too. A genuine smile. And that’s where they started.
It was almost midnight when they decided to part ways. Sam was walking along, smiling, volume’s up while listening the song that the girl had recommended. He doesn’t care about the world around him.
And that is the first time that I pulled their strings together.
Yssa was on her way home, to south. And Sam was on his way home, to North. And they met in the middle. They crossed their way, only two of them on the street. But sadly, he never heard Yssa’s scream as those 5 men forced themselves to her because he was wearing his earphones.
They did cross ways, but never noticed each other.
Yssa started hating her life after that tragedy. She dropped all her subject, she just spent her life on home. Taking her medicines, monthly counseling and quarter therapy to recover from her trauma. After a year of being raped, she changed so much. The happy Yssa has turned into someone opposite. She enrolled for a new course and moved into another University, still continuously taking her medicine. Moving on is not easy for her, though they caught those people who molested her, and she got the justice, still, it was more than traumatic. But she decided to build a new life. She never made friends with anyone, she became always alone. She became socially anxious, she loves wearing jacket, to cover her body from anyone. She never reveal her skin, and that makes people think that she is a weirdo. Even to her own brother and father she became distant, afraid to trust any man —even her own family. During her sophomore years, she decided to dropped her course again, because of her anxiety of people and being abused again. And that’s where she decided to do arts. She took online classes, and it seems like in there, she found a little call of passion and happiness. And after almost 3 years, she can say that she is slowly recovering from trauma.
Wearing her jacket, beanie and pants, March 14, year 2008. 1:30 in the afternoon, she decided to go outside to buy materials for her new piece. She was still anxious but after dropping her second course, it was her first time to go outside. Her mother insisted to buy the stuff for her. But Yssa refused to, she said that she can go alone outside.
On the other hand, Sam’s life has totally changed. To sum it up, the girl that he met that night became his friend — and their relationship turned into something more. The girl has became Sam’s girlfriend. After living almost all of his life alone, sad and empty, Sam has finally found a reason to pursue, to dream, to live. He turned into a happy man. He still hates the noisy world, but he learns to socialize with people and smile often. And that is because of his girlfriend. The girl changed him. He treated the girl as his own family. He also learned to forgive his parents for bringing him such loneliness. He is now a graduating engineering student, and all his success was for her. He almost had everything now, the love that he is craving, the forgiveness to his family and to himself, the happiness, the success. And he doesn’t want more. He is contented.
14th of March, year 2008. It was a day before his graduation day. Sam and his girlfriend decided to go on an Art’s shop, to look for art materials because Sam will be joining an online art competition. They used the stairs instead of riding the elevator. Because Sam’s girlfriend loves to walk.
And that’s the second time that I pulled their strings together.
Yssa rode the elevator, and they met at the shop. Sam was on the right side, looking for an acrylic water color, and Yssa was on the left side, looking for a sketchpad. And in the middle was Sam’s girlfriend.
They met again, but they didn’t notice each other. Because Sam was looking to her girlfriend— to another girl...and behind her girlfriend was his true fate, — Yssa.
The strings glimmer as their eyes met and rapidly glance with each other.
A year after that encounter, Yssa had quit arts and decided to enter a new University again. Where she took BS Psychology. Upon doing arts, she realized that she can express herself and fully recover from her trauma by trying to study her mind, and understand herself. She decided to help others who are going through the same trauma, by being a Psychologist. Time passed by, until she finally finished her bachelor's degree. She entered med school to pursue her calling, which is to become a Psychiatrist. Her College life was never been easy. She still isolates herself from people and never made friends with anyone. But as time goes by, she finally learned to smile at people again. To open a conversation and to comfort someone. Opening up about her trauma was difficult, but being a psychologist, she learned to deal with it. There are still nightmares that haunt her every night, things that make her remember what she experienced. But little by little, she build herself again.
It was 16th of May year 2012. Yssa was exhausted, med school is stressing her out. But she was thankful because her mind was too occupied with academics. Not with other things. She wears her usual jacket and beanie outfit. Many years have passed, but she can't still have the confidence and braveness to show her skin to people. She rode the bus and is on her way for their blood letting acitivity. It was a project conducted by the college of medicine, and every student was required to donate blood. With too much exhaustion, she puts her earphones, and sleep.
He is back to his old self, more lonely, alone and sad. After 6 years of being together, Sam and her girlfriend broke-up.
He also thought, that the girl was the one for her. They imagined and dream their futures together, they did all the things together. Sam's girlfriend was a part of him, and when she left, Sam was never complete again. The girl left to chase her dream abroad, and after a year of leaving, she married another guy in there. The reason why she left Sam and exchange him from the guy that she just met there was simply, falling out of love. Sam loathed the world again. He became miserable, he did all the things just to forget and move on from the girl that he only loved all his life. Starting over again without the part that made him whole, was hard. He busied himself with work. He became a very successful engineer, he has all the skills that make him famous. He adored by a lot of people. He has the money, the fame, but still, a big part of his life was missing. And that gap will never be filled by anything.
It was 16th of May, year 2012. Sam was on his way home, it was a gloomy day and he doesn't have any umbrella to protect himself from the rain. It was also the day of his car’s coding, that's why he doesn't have any choice but to commute. He was waiting for the bus on the bustling street of Marcos Hiway, and behind him was tents, full of medical people, doing a blood letting activity. The bus has finally arrived.
And that is the third time that I pulled their strings together.
Yssa was getting down the bus and Sam was riding into it. They bumped their shoulders together. The strings glimmer as they looked into each other's eye and said sorry.
They talked. But they never noticed each other.
Aaaaaaaa, I stretched my arms and drink my coffee. I smiled as I saw their strings glimmer again this time. I'm wrong, they are lucky. The will of God had put them together.
For the first time, I saw a complex and neutral strings that successfully tangled with each other. They are lucky, because unlike me, I never tangle with a neutral string. When I was a human, I fell inlove with a girl that belongs to the neutral string, I thought we were the ones for each other. But even before confessing my love to her, she killed herself because of emptiness and feeling unloved. I blamed myself for not showing that I truly care for her, that there is someone who loves her so much.
And with that, I killed myself too.
And this is my consequence. I became a mediator of fate. The one who pulls the strings of people together. The one who make way for them to meet and have their own happy endings. Life is ironic, right? I am the one who make people meet their true fates, but I, myself was alone and unhappy.
Life is a cycle of emotions. All people were played by their own destiny. God knows His plans for us, but people are the ones which are responsible to find their ways to it. In life, we were tossed and twisted, and it hurts. To assume today that everything’s gonna be fine, but tomorrow you’re gonna wake-up with another uncertainty of life. People must learn how to deal with it.
I smiled bitterly and look at the golden bracelet that glimmers on my left wrist.
CUPID.
My name was beautifully engraved on it. The only memory that she left on me.
Anyway, I smiled as I saw Yssa and Sam's string glimmers together. It was beautiful. Being with your true fate is beautiful.
The bus engine started again. Sam was on his way home, and Yssa was pumping a rubber ball while donating her blood.
Unluckily, in just snap, the bus had an accident when it swerved lane because of the slippery road and bumped into a ten-wheeler truck. Half of the passenger had died.
But he survived.
Sam was moved into the hospital where Yssa is currently studying. A lot of blood has lost by Sam. And luckily, there are thousands of blood with the same type as him on the hospital. Their strings glimmer that it almost blinded me, out of thousand bag of bloods, the doctor gets the bag of Yssa's blood.
He survived. And Yssa's blood was running through his veins. And they will never know.
Their strings tangle together as Sam woke up with a face of a smiling girl beside her.
A very unexplainable emotion, his heart skipped a beat.
"Hi Sam, I'm Yssa, your volunteer doctor"

“Bilang kapalit ng special permit, mayroong QR Code na ibibigay sa bawat operator na dapat ilagay sa short bond paper at ipaskil sa public utility vehicle (PUV) [Instead of a special permit, a QR code will be given to each operator to be printed in a short bond paper and posted in their PUV],” the LTFRB said. From Under the Vault: Sleeping Boy Collective Interview
Disclaimer: This was a transcription I found in a notebook. Nowadays, founding members Maria, Paeng, and Alva were part of SBC back then.
I will tell vague details of the people I interviewed from this new group of people I got acquainted with. They call themselves Sleeping Boy Collective. This group was formed as a tribute to their late friend Raffy whose favorite song was "Sleeping Boy the Paranoid" by Funeral Diner.
I remember that it was raining when I went against the trafficky Saturday of summer time 2015 from Parañaque. I even got lost on the way to QC (way, way lost. As far as Navotas) because I was not familiar with the commuting route of the area. This technically was my first time in Maginhawa. It was a blast.
I remember entering the house they were in. As I remember, I recall Alva, Maria, and Grois rents the place. Paeng is always around there.
Maria was helping Clarenz (which was coincidentally, part of SBC as well) set up his offset guitar. They were also hinting a part of a new song they wrote which ended up as "Corpse Medicine" from Beast Jesus' first EP In Various States of Disassembly. After that I was confused and they took me to dinner. I remember before leaving that Alva muttered something like "Uy, wala munang uuwi ha. Manonood tayo ng movie. Wild Tales."
While walking, I asked Maria where did they get a copy of Sunbather. They were heavily into that record back then. They replied, "one of my best friends shipped it to me."
Tim's sister, Tita Thysz gave an improptu tour in Maginhawa as we were walking to that dinner place. She introduced us the place so deliberately, that in my opinion, she can describe Maginhawa with her eyes closed.
Her introduction of Van Gogh is Bipolar, Caution Hot, and the original food park located there caught my attention.
All I remember from that dinner was Tim was eating dinner with red horse beer as his drink, I think Paeng was drinking beer too. I cannot remember the things I have ordered. Maria had this huge Root Beer Float which I regret not ordering the first time I saw it. Alva and Maria have small strands of cat fur in their shoulders, their, backs, well... in basically their shirts. By the way, their cats are friendly and one of them jumped in my lap before we were leaving.
Ocho from Quezo/Franco passed by when we were eating dinner. I was the only one who noticed.
The next stop was dessert! This place which I cannot remember the name of, served locally-flavored iced cream based on the regions of the Philippines. Tim actually payed for my dessert. (He owes me 150 bucks from the Algernon Cadwallader cd I sold him. So technically, we're even.)
This place ended up to be the go-to place where I take my friends whenever I get the chance to visit Maginhawa. Their "Bicol"-flavored iced cream is highly commendable.
Before we went back, Tim's sister had other plans for the night so she won't be coming back with us. Clarenz had to go back home since he's from the South and it's a long ride home.
We bid our goodbyes and the girls and Paeng bought more food and drinks (AKA red horse and pulutan).
While we sat down on their second floor waiting for them, there were are a lot of pedals on Maria and Alva's boards (I remember specifically, Maria showed me his mooer triangle Buff and Boss HM2.) and random guitars that I cannot describe back then. I'm pretty sure there was a Jazzmaster there somewhere.
This whole interview happened because Tim and I were present in the last King Ly Chee show last Friday. I asked him if I could do an interview with SBC because we plan to have an article posted for Timog Bulletin. He invited me to go to their place for the interview.
Kuya Ebong's Timog Bulletin blog was still active back then before he and Kuya Darwin turned it into a podcast a few years later. The next day, I went for it. Unfortunately, the recorded file was lost. This is all that is left and a bunch of interesting memories.
Here is the rest of the transcript which is the interview I salvaged:
Me: Ayun, background check. Ilang taon kayo nung nakarinig kayo ng punk, hardcore, screamo, post hardcore, or anything?
Maria: Anything extreme? Well, nonconventional music, I've been listening to weird shit since I was like what? Seven years old. 'Cause my mom used to work in a music store. I crate dig and I find cassettes that nobody wanted. I got into obscure electronic shit. Stuff like Atari Teenage Riot, Orbital, Chemical (brothers)
Alva (jokingly): My Chemical Romance?
Maria: Mga ganun. (random laughs in the background.) It was eventually when I was a teenager, siguro mga 14-15 ako, I got into stuff from Victory Records tapos-
Tim: Blame Snapcase.
Maria: Oo! Snapcase, Thursday... tapos dahil sa kakapakinig ko sa stuff na ganun parang binibili ko na yung cassettes and cds nila, nakikita ko yung "Thank Yous" nila. Ito like, "thank you to this band and that band."
Nagustuhan ko yung Thursday, baka magustuhan ko rin yung taste nila sa mga friends nila and everything y'know? These bands that they think they acknowledge.
Paeng: What's up brother? (Brings in food and beer)
Tim: What's up?
Paeng: Yeah.
Alva: Haha, biglang may Paeng.
Maria: So it just went from there. I have been listening to non-mainstream music since I was 13-14 until 25 going to 26 now. So that's me, who's chiming in next?
Me: Ayun, bale... lahat kayo.
Or "puntahan mo yung site na to. Ako naman, "o sige." So doon na yun nagpunta lahat.
So... hindi ko siya actually nagustuhan kaagad. I didn't actually save it on the cellphone and played it throughout.
Parang nangyari, nagbackdate ako ng "ano ba yung (pinagmulan)?" Bakit ba sila gumagawa ng ganitong jams? Parang from one thing led to another then you see Revolution Summer (Dischord Records era of hardcore) parang ganun, tapos parang hindi ko pa rin siya napagtripan kaya pumunta pa rin ako ng pababa.
Nakita ko yung DC hardcore. Bands like Black Flag, Minor Threat, tsaka Bad Brains, etc. So that was I think in second year high school? Ay! Second year college.
Ah kasi parang expat or migrant coming from Bukidnon, nandito ako sa Manila, wala akong mapuntahan or mapagtripan tapos mainly, skate music lang yung pinapakinggan ko. Not really coming from the mainstream ika nga and eventually it led through there. Then you realize, "uy, masaya siya pakinggan." Ayun, so next is Paeng.
Me: (Very intimidated and a bit shocked that Tim's interview was over.) Ummm...
Maria: The question here is how did you first get into non-mainstream shit?
Paeng: Uh... PureVolume.
Uh... I got into non-mainstream shit because of my upperclassmen. Yung crush ko na girl na upperclassman ko, hinila niya ako on some sort of a date sa campus. Tapos nagsoundtrip kami ng mga... mga Typecast.
In unison: (Everyone laughs.)
Paeng: Tapos binigyan niya ako ng cd ng Typecast tsaka ano... Too Late The Hero tsaka Saydie. Which by the way, ako yung nagpoproduce sa Saydie ngayon.
Tim: And guitarist?
Paeng: 'Di na. 'Di na ako nagsesession doon. Tapos after nun, it became some sort of identity for me. Yun nga yung sort of formative years ng teenage life ko. Sa college, so naghahanap lang ako ng association or identity at that time. Kasi one, ayoko sumali ng frat. Two, mga upperclassmen ko medyo bully. Tapos na ako nun nung mga high school.
Aesthetically, I thought it was y'know... for the girls so sinundan ko yung trend na yun admittedly. Siyempre, naghahanap pa ako ng form of identity nun. Then, after I got out of the surface level aesthetics, I delved in deeper kasi may mga ibang subject matter ng mga usong kanta nung mga emo shit nun that didn't jive well with me.
Kasi una, hindi ako bobo. Tapos, naghahanap naman ako ng emo bands na hindi naman bobo at marunong mag articulate in deeper form or usage of language, hindi lang "Oooh, I'm so sad." or basta mga ganun.
Me: Surface level aesthetic?
Paeng: Yeah. Uhm... then I realized na these are just trendy stuff na nagpapa popularize lang ng mga websites na tinitignan ko. But then, may nakita akong isang page sa forum
*Grois goes upstairs, Paeng gets sidetracked*
Paeng: Where was I?
Maria: You found a forum?
Paeng: Ayun, nakahanap ako ng forum na nakalista ang napakaraming emotive hardcore bands. Ah okay medyo nadistract ako.
*pauses for a while and there was a little chit chat about my tablet's recorder.*
Paeng: Sorry naderail ako sa conversation. Tapos pinakinggan ko yung bands na nakalista doon sa forum. Pagkatapos nun, nakilala ko si Francis (Maria) sa isa pang forum tapos nagdecide kami magmeet up.
Francis wanted to play "chaotic converge stuff" which was what he was currently into that time. Bale, pinagsoundrip niya ako sa mp3 player niya dati tapos iniskip through ko every single one of the songs until narinig ko yung Scarlet (US). Naalala ko dati na sa soulseek kami kumukuha ng files. Si Maria, ginagamit niya pa rin. Ako, I don't have the patience anymore, and there weren't any torrents back then.
Tim: Limewire sucks.
Paeng: Yeah, Limewire sucks. You end up with misconstrued song titles and child porn. So ito yung beginnings into music and the ideology involved rather than the surface level aspect. Hanggang ngayon I still apply this aspect in critiquing and producing other records for other bands and how to interact with them. Dahil sa roots ko sa Davao punk scene, yung idea ng Anarchy tsaka anti-establishment is still implied. Pero narealize ko... everyone is technically a sellout.
Me: Why is everyone technically a sellout?
Paeng: From birth, you're not the one that chooses the lifestyle you're born into. Kapag pinanganak ka, mapa-mahirap man o mayaman ka wala kang choice. Doon ka lang makakapili ng landas mo kapag may autonomy or sariling decision ka na. Ako personally, lumayas ako from home at 16 after namin magkaroon ng argument with my mom. I learned life firsthand.
Tim: Si Slenderman hahaha.
Maria: I look like Christian Bale hahaha... from The Machinist.
Paeng: May mga times na tumutugtog yung Capulette (pre-Caitlyn Bailey) tapos mag cocollapse ako. Mahihimatay ako kasi wala akong kinain buong araw.
Maria: Umabot sa point na nag organize kami ng gig para magkaroon si Paeng ng funds for food for one whole month.
Paeng: Tapos nagkaroon ako ng work sa mall serving food. It was then that I realized that we are tethered to the system and if I break it, I will die. But at the same time, if I want to change the system, I have to corrupt it the way it corrupted me. I am trying to do that by implanting myself into the system which indoctrinates the youth, which is the educational system. That's why I ended up landing a job as a professor in Mapua Institute of Technology. So what was your question again?
After this I asked Grois and Alva. As far as I remember in the interview:
Alva Presbitero's first introduction to extreme music was by his kuya recommending her some stuff like Botch and Converge.
When she was studying college in UP, she was involved in an alternative metal sounding band which took a lot from Deftones and Tool called Tabula Rasa.
She was frontman of prog band Game Theory. She was playing guitar and singing vocals with emo/powerpop/alternative group Small Hands alongside Tani Cariño of Neverdie and Chi & Sep of Typecast at the time of the recording of this interview.
I remember vaguely that Grois Enayo started getting into punk when she was in college.
"I just came here to drink beer... what's up?"
While studying, she started to look for bandmates in the PUP, Pulp, and Rakizta forums online. Which Paeng followed through jokingly saying:
"Ahhh... PULPera ka pala dati?"
After that endeavor did not work out for her, she started to look for members again to play Bikini Kill sounding stuff.
At time of this recording, she's a member of the politically-charged band, "Death to Puberty" which Chuck Baclagon fronts and the Shocking Details which where she channels her inner Riot Grrrl roots.
Currently, she is a member of punk group Catpuke and The Shocking Details recently released recorded material a few years back.
After the interview at about 3am-ish they guided me to how to commute to get back home and they went into a bakery to buy Coca Cola and bread I think? I don't even remember how I got home.

I Was Awake For 35 Hours
Friday noon, I woke up with a slight hangover from drinking last night up until morning. I surfed the internet a bit and received a message from my friend asking me to come to Intramuros. I took a bath, went there and invited him to eat somewhere. Another friend came by and that friend invited me to his’ friend’s birthday celebration. His love interest was there, and so as her ex-suitor, so I thought it’s a good idea to come with him in case a fight breaks out.
It was celebrated at Sherwood, Taft, and the celebrant treated us free cocktails and beer. At first, I felt shy because they all know each other and I’m only familiar with the few. Hours later, I was able to know some of the people in the same table - even with my with friend’s rival. We three chatted, told each other some Hugots. Then, my friend was triggered after the guy asked him that why is he still trying to hit on her. He asked directly “If you try water a dead plant, would it revive? Then what are you doing to her?”. It was a good thing that my friend didn’t react, but I saw it that his fist was clenching and was already holding back. My friend later stated that it really got him on his nerves.
A few more hours later, some of them already left. I saw the celebrant looking worried and unhappy. I asked her if she’s okay, and she told me she was upset because a friend of her flirted with her crush awhile ago. I tried to accompany her but she and some of her friends left a few minutes later.
My friend and I stayed with the two girls at the table, and another friend of mine passed by and I asked him to join us. There’s still about three pitchers of cocktail on the table, and so we chatted and played card games for a while whilst drinking. I then asked one of the girl’s Facebook so that I could send her a friend request. The other friend of mine challenged us to drink four shots of cocktail in five seconds. He first tried it and it took him more than five seconds but it was close. I tried it too and resulted in roughly the same length of time but a few milliseconds slower.
My friend then later stated that the two girls with us have a sort of open romantic relationship with each other. I was surprised, because they literally only looked like they were only close friends.
After finishing all the drinks, my friend and I went to the restroom. As we were about to leave, I suddenly thought about playing a friendly match of beer pong with him. I told him to play with me, using only Smirnoff so that I wouldn’t get any more drunk because I needed to be at somewhere by morning (Although it was already at early morning). I won, having a 3 cups advantage and drank the few remaining Smirnoff together. Two guys suddenly challenged us for a beer pong match as we were about to leave for the second time - but we agreed anyway. We lost horribly, and I was left with only a few cash.
We two walked out of the place. I suddenly received a message from the girl awhile ago saying that she needs help. She said that the driver from the taxi she took drove her to a bar and can’t get away. She have no idea where she exactly is and is extremely worried of what might happen. I told this to my friend and asked him that I’m going to borrow money so that I could take a taxi to get to her location. He told me that he’s going to come along instead. She messaged me stating that she’s along Timog, Quezon City, and the place was called “Cowboy”. My friend and I asked the taxi driver to drive us to Timog and explained him the situation. The extreme part was that my phone’s battery life was very low, and so I gave her my number and turned off my mobile data to save battery life. Reaching Timog, with only a percent left of my phone’s battery, I saw this place with the name “Cowboy’s grill” and noticed a taxi parked on the lot. I guessed it was the place and decided to drop off, and I had to wake up my friend because he fell asleep. I went in and texted her, I suddenly saw her coming towards me - she hugged me and started crying. We sat down to their table and saw the man sitting on the other side. As I tried to comfort her, the driver suddenly disappeared without a word. We went outside and noticed that the taxi I saw earlier was fast gone.
I then decided escort her home, while my friend is going back to Manila. She said she lives in a boarding house somewhere in UP Diliman, and so we rode a jeepney going to Philcoa. After dropping off, she told me that I could go but I declined since it was dark and there were no jeepneys for her to ride home. We had a very long walk, and there was even one time that she needed to pee. She did it on a tree, while I was looking away. She lost one of her shoe in the process, we looked for it but gave up a few minutes later. She then later tripped resulting in cuts on her knee, and then later stepped on small shards of glasses. I had to carry her for a while up until her boarding house. I needed to rest after all of that. She had a med kit, so I treated her cuts on her legs.
I stayed and charged my phone a bit and then I noticed the time. I needed to go back to Intramuros to meet with my friends. She escorted me outside and pointed where I could ride a jeep on the way outside of the suburbs.
I messaged my friends that I’m on the way. I later realized that I rode the wrong Jeep, and so I was dropped off somewhere near the road exiting the entire place and jogged backed until Philcoa. I rode a UV van on the way back to Lawton, Manila, and luckily it only took me half an hour to get there. I went to my Condominium and saw my friends waiting outside.
I washed quickly, got ready and we all took the things that we needed that were kept in my room.
We went to Mall of Asia for an event we needed to attend and it lasted up about until 7pm. At first, my heart were pumping hard and my body felt numb because of that drinking from last night. It was a good thing that I felt better a few hours later and oddly enough that I didn’t even feel sleepy.
I went back to my condominium at around 9pm and decided that I’ll sleep at my house at Quezon city instead. I rode the bus - and fell asleep a few times, but I kept waking up worrying that I might pass through my destination. I dropped off near my Village and rode a tricycle towards home.
I finally slept around Saturday, 10pm.
It felt like I have surpassed my limit because I got really sick the last time I didn’t sleep for a day. Also, a few years ago, I went to the hospital because I had a very few sleeps for a few days resulting in my platelets dropping to a critical level. It’s a good thing that I’m still alright, and everything that had happened felt like an adventure.
I kept thinking that it was a good thing that we decided to stay a bit more at the bar to play beer pong, because if we didn’t - there would be a possibility that no one could help her because I was the only one replying to her at the moment. I don’t even know why I added her on Facebook, and to be honest I don’t even remember that I asked for her Facebook at that night. I just assumed right now that I did.
