Each night the boys and I always pray together and have a “Groot Pug” before bed to bring our day to a close. Most nights I lead the prayer and I keep it pretty short, sweet, and simple. Recently, Jaxson has started doing the prayers and I honestly have to say I’m pretty impressed. (Despite that they are getting longer and longer each time 😂) I’ll admit that I don’t get 100% of what he’s praying about but it’s very cute and very sincere from his 3 years of wisdom. Hearing his prayers to Jesus talking about love, having a good day, taking baths, drinking milk, playing, and Dixie (the dog) reminds me that all too often we take for granted the good things in our lives each day. It reminds me to be grateful that we live in a country where we are free to have a good day and can play outside without fear of imminent danger or harm. Many families and children around the world still don’t have this privilege. It reminds me to be grateful that we have warm running water for bathing and a safe place to do it. I’m grateful that we have the luxury of Paw Patrol Bubble Bath and TMNT Shampoo. I’m especially grateful for the clean towels to wrap them in afterwards that remind them that they’re safe, warm, and secure. Listening to him pray and thank Jesus for Milk reminds me to be grateful that we have the milk to pour and the refrigerator to keep it fresh. It reminds me that driving to the store to buy milk again isn’t an errand or hassle, it’s a convenience and the fact that I have the funds to buy milk is something I should be thankful for. Hearing him pray for and about our dog Dixie makes me grateful for the companionship and love she provides not only to Curt and I, but to all who are welcomed into our home. It reminds me to be grateful for those nose nudges and countless nights that she has shared the bed with us even if she is a bed hog. Never again will I grumble about filling her food dish, because as I write this I am suddenly struck with the thought that while I am “inconvenienced” by the dogs appetite, there are people who are literally starving to death and feeding a dog is the least of their worries. #timetobegrateful #blessed #firstworldproblems

Japan I felt so blessed.. the time I had with my parents were extremely enjoyable. We walked everywhere, talked all the time, ate sooo much, laughed so hard.. I couldn’t ask for a better relationship with my mom and dad. You see me fooling around in IG story with my mom cause she’s so silly; she makes fun of herself and everything that gets in her way. Dad, well, he’s a trooper that one. I don’t know how he did it but 98% cured by doctor Hirahata and by the gracious of God; I thank the lord for having such talented, humble, loving humans in this world.
