         oh, but here stands the god of thunder, larger than life, bristling with thunder in his veins and the drums of war ever raucous in his heart. at least: that’s what those around him often THINK.

         he looks to her, a veritable storm of emotion within those mismatched eyes. they are haunted, weary, ancient — and yet he smiles, and oh, that smile is a war of its own. still, he takes the hug as it’s offered — it starts slight, but the moment that yes, he realizes: he really DID need that, and he wraps her up in it, and he doesn’t let go. he barely knows her, but right now? he doesn’t much care. and when, at last, it ends, his smile is brittle but stable, and the words: ❛ thank you, ❜ uttered with such sincerity.

It’s not that Tony is against cuddling. It’s that Jennifer has an odd sense of appropriate timing that sometimes makes it difficult to accommodate her. For example, sitting in a virtual meeting of several of the world’s most powerful politicians? Maybe not the best time for his girlfriend to need a cuddle. That doesn’t stop Jennifer - no, she just climbs right onto his lap, wraps her arms around his neck, and tucks her head in between his neck and his shoulder.

And Tony? Well, Tony just continues on with his meeting like it never happened. He’s only got twenty minutes left with these blowhards anyway, so what does it matter if he lets her cuddle up to him? A few of them look like they swallowed a battery but Tony doesn’t really care. “Comfortable, sweetpea? Gimme just a few minutes, I’m almost done,” he murmurs into her hair.

im tired as hell but how would yall feel if i revamped the old story universe i had for JSaB with the actual bar bar in it. not in just shapes and beasts but in another blog all together cuz that other plot is still good. but i regretted changing it since due to certain aspects i still love.
