the binge wheel's almost over...

My binge wheel is ending, so there's only three things left to watch. Here's all of the other things I've watched.

Craig Before The Creek

I've watched Craig of The Creek when I was a bit younger, so that's why I decided to watch this movie. I loved each of the characters' backstories, and I also liked how it made mundane things look extraordinary.

Favorite Character: J.P.

A Utica Cartoon

This is another pilot I've watched. I think it had the same vibe as Kitty Bobo because of its desaturated color palette. I also liked how minimal the music sounded because it reminds me of a cheap synth in my house.

Favorite Characters: N/A

Welcome to Eltingville

This is the third and final pilot I had on my wheel. Unlike the others, it was a full-length episode. The main cast are the perfect example of what a fandom shouldn't be, and I liked the fast-paced slapstick, too.

Favorite Characters: Definitely not the Eltingville Club.

BONUS: INSIDE OUT 2

This movie wasn't on my wheel, but thought it would be nice to put it on here. I like how they expanded the lore and the worldbuilding. I've always loved Inside Out, so that's why I thought the sequel would work.

Favorite Characters: Embarrassment, Bloofy, and Lance Slashblade

I've also removed Straight Outta Nowhere from my wheel because I couldn't find it anywhere, too.

5 pages are done for chapter 15 part 2 and I'm way through the 6th page. It will be finished and posted probably by the end of this week or sometime next week. I can't believe I've been doing these drawings for a year. I started doing these last year on November 2. Time flies so damn fast.

Years ago, sometime around 2014, I was rereading the fanfic and decided, why not make a comic out of it. So I got my sketch book, my pencil, colored pencils, and tried to imitate the 90s anime art style as much as possible. I only managed to draw chapter 1 and 2 before I stopped all together. I was a teenager at the time and my drawings skills just weren't quite there yet to draw this story. I wish I could find these drawings again, but I can't find them and the pages would fall out of the sketchbook very easily.

Rereading the story in 2023 reminded me just how much I loved it and what I great job Crawlspace does with writing the Sailor Moon characters and the original characters as well. We get to see the inner senshi interact more with their parents and also how Makoto and Rei have been affected by the loss of their parents. Ami's mom Kaya gets a lot of limelight too (and a boyfriend). It is a story unafraid to tackle the topic of teen pregnancy and being in the LGBTQ+ community in a society that is not accepting. There are many people who can resonate with that because those are things that really happen in real life. I could go on and on about what makes her story so great. And I'm not just saying that. This comic would not be a thing at all without her story and I think that's important to remember.

Thank you Crawlspace for making such a great story and series. Doing these drawings have really been fun to do. And thank you viewers as well.
