Tim leaned on a fist as he watched Danny doodle on his notebook instead of taking notes. He was drawing constellations and cartoony stars everywhere, his face dazed even through the camera screen. Tim stared at him, knowing that no matter what Jason said, he was still extremely suspicious and needed a careful eye.

A figure suddenly approached Danny, a tall boy with red hair, freckles, and a face that oddly looked similar to Danny’s. He gathered Danny’s stuff without another word, even as Danny jumped up with a start to protest.

Danny floundered. Tim began reading his lips with narrowed eyes. ‘What! Hey, what’re you doing?’

‘We have to go,’ the boy said tugging on Danny’s wrist. His familiarity with him made Tim bristle as he opened another tab to look into the school records and use his face recognition program to find out whoever the hell this was.

A girl with a bandanna pulling back her curly hair then strode towards Danny. She reached over to hold Danny’s hand and pulled him away from the other boy, both of them urgent. Danny asked her something, his face tilted away enough that Tim couldn’t decipher his words.

Hissing, Tim hurriedly changed perspectives so he could catch the tail of his words. When did Danny have so many friends?! After weeks of watching him, Danny hardly interacted with many people at all! These two people were ones that Tim had seen often lingering about, but how did they know Danny?! And why were they so close to him?!

‘— see something?’

The girl nodded hurriedly, her eyebrows furrowed. ‘Someone’s watching you. We need to get you to safety.’

Tim’s heart dropped into his feet. He stood up from his seat to focus as he clicked on his mouse, trying to figure out what was happening. Were they onto him? But how? His cameras were the state of the art in tech and none of it should’ve been detectable!

Unless they were all vampires…? Or maybe his hypothesis was wrong and Danny was even worse than a bloodsucking creature.

In the cameras, Danny froze. Then he turned and all three of them looked at the camera that Tim had chosen to watch them, making direct eye contact with Tim behind the screen.

In an instant, Tim self destructed all of his cameras, listening devices and trackers (which honestly hadn’t worked at all since he attached them to various belongings of Danny.)

He was sweating as he erased all of his tracks expertly. When he was done, he cursed. All of his tech was destroyed completely and none of it could be traced back to him, but now he didn’t have a way to observe Danny.

He sighed and drew a hand through his hair. He picked up his phone and gave a call.

“Hey, Steph? Can you find a way for me to get into Gotham University right now?”

What if.. hear me out.. conspiracy theory here.. Timothy & Heidi didn’t save their first kiss for marriage but only Heidi’s family knows? 🤔

Honestly, while I would 100% support that if they wanted to be open about it, what they did or didn't do before marriage isn't that important to me. The point of the whole drama for me is that people in relationships should be allowed to keep their personal lives private under any circumstances, including if one of their mothers is an oversharing attention whore in the internet. Even being someone's parent does not entitle you to the details of an adult child's personal business, and if that makes someone like Jill mad, that's a her problem.

This whole thing has made me think a little more about what I speculate on tbh. I try to be good about that kind of stuff, but I do remember times when I've shared pics or posts about fundies being physical before marriage, and it is tea don't get me wrong, but to be quite honest it's none of my fuckin business. Especially when said pics are taken without the couple's consent.

Anyway yea I think a big takeaway for me from all of this is to be more mindful about prying into the personal lives of especially the kids of these fundie parents who didn't ask to be gawked at by thousands of strangers.

chapter 3 progress! is being made! ive never rlly done multi chapter fics before and its def different for me, im so used to one and done fics. 3 chapters is still pretty short tbf, but im still proud of myself :)

Whats the timcel fic?

the full title is "Nature's Order (As Told From Alpha To Beta)" but thats a bit wordy lol, so i just call it the timcel fic. omegaverse, obviously. beta tim has it bad for omega dick but doesnt know a thing about omegas. im a bit groggy so im having trouble trying to figure out how to explain it lol.

the beginning is from dicks pov, where hes essentially trying to let tim down gently, but he doesn't realize that tim has drugged him + been messing w his heat meds for a while now. tim doing all that bc he doesnt know how to talk about his feelings like a normal person and is trying to set up a situation where dick is more likely to reciprocate. then they get visitors. ra's and talia had an offscreen falling out so ra's goes on one of his unconventional heir acquisition quests. basically decides to use dick as a living incubator. a breeding bitch if u will.

ra's drags tim along too bc hes already there and omegas are easier to manage with a beta around anyways. soooo cue mindbreak/brainwashing <3 """teaching""" tim about omegas true nature and feeding him propaganda of the alpha > beta > omega hierarchy. tim turns into dicks secondary tormentor which is Not something that dick can really come to terms with. tim slowly starts to see him as lesser, starts to treat him like hes subhuman, all while dick still tries to protect and help him.

there is a resolution and one of those "this is as happy as it could get after all that" endings planned but its one doozy of a project for me. the pregnancy elements also means i have to keep track of dates within the story. there's a lot of stuff in my process for this one.

side tangent but i wanna figure out a way to approach writing long fics in a way thats fun for me. like i really do wanna write this a/b/o timcel long fic that i keep putting on the back burner, but i have so much fun w one shots too. gotta figure out a way to work on the Big Thing while also making Little Things without overwhelming myself or turning writing into work instead of play
