If you want a look into how I handle my mental health:
The level of ok I am equally translates to what percent of my diet is made up of goo.
I’m currently like 90% solid foods, 10% applesauce pouches. But right before my mental breakdown I was exclusively eating gerber baby food. Like Hawaiian delight and mashed bananas. And the tiny baby hotdogs.

The target is you, voter. Russia, China, Iran, and other bad actors sought to interfere in the run-up to today’s US elections, according to research by the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab), which has been monitoring online trends along with statements by governments, private companies, and civil society in its Foreign Interference Attribution Tracker. As DFRLab experts detail below, this year’s malign efforts in many ways surpass previous influence campaigns in sophistication and scope, if not in impact—and they are expected to continue well after the polls close.
Tipping the scale
“By sheer volume, foreign interference in the 2024 US election has already surpassed the scale of adversarial operations in both 2016 and 2020,” Emerson says.
Dina notes that each US adversary played to its strengths. For example, Iran and China “attempted to breach presidential campaigns in hack-and-leak operations that raise concerns about their cyber capabilities during and after the elections,” she tells us.
At the same time, the United States is more prepared than it was in previous election cycles. Russian efforts in 2016 “made foreign interference a vivid fear for millions of Americans,” Emerson notes. “Eight years later, the US government is denouncing and neutralizing these efforts, sometimes in real time.”
In fact, Graham tells us, “the combined actions by the US departments of Justice, Treasury, and State against two known Russian interference efforts was the largest proactive government action taken against election influence efforts before an election.”
Doppelgangers and down-ballot races
US officials this week called Russia “the most active threat,” and it’s easy to understand why. Emerson notes Russia’s “ten-million-dollar effort to infiltrate and influence far-right American media,” alongside the “Doppelganger” network, which has spread “tens of thousands of false stories and staged videos intended to undermine election integrity in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona.” Increasingly desperate, Russian actors have even sought to shut down individual polling places with fake bomb threats, he adds.
Meanwhile, China has focused on “down-ballot races instead of the presidential election to target specific anti-China politicians,” Kenton explains. Using fake American personas and generative artificial intelligence, China-linked operations have appeared across more than fifty platforms. Perhaps surprisingly, Kenton adds, “attributed campaigns appeared sparingly” on the Chinese-owned platform TikTok and far more often on Facebook and X.
Faith, fakes, and falsehoods
“The primary aim is to erode Americans’ faith in democratic institutions and heighten chaos and social division,” Kenton explains, and thus to undermine the ability of the US government to function so it will have less bandwidth to contain adversarial powers.
“Some of the fake and already debunked narratives and footage circulating before the elections will likely continue to be amplified by foreign threat actors well after November 5,” Dina predicts. Expect to see activity around the submission of certificates of ascertainment on December 11, the December 17 meeting of the electors to formally cast their votes, and through inauguration day on January 20.
And in a post-election period where the results will likely be contested, Graham thinks there’s a “high likelihood” that foreign actors will “cross a serious threshold” from pre-election attempts to broadly influence American public opinion in service of their geopolitical interests to “direct interference” by trying to mobilize Americans to engage in protests or even violence.
Nevertheless, Graham points out that the high volume of foreign-influence efforts observed during this year’s election cycle so far does not appear to have had a significant impact in terms of changing Americans’ opinions or behavior.
The consequences of foreign disinformation, Emerson adds, should be assessed against “the far more viral, sophisticated, and dangerous election-day falsehoods that Americans spread among themselves.”

So I don't know what this KOSA stuff is, but I'm just now hearing about it? Quite frankly from what I've read so far, this shit ain't good.
Apparently this is supposed to "protect" children by censoring apps like Tiktok, Instagram, Tumblr, AO3, etc. etc., as if this will make it better. Which, let's be honest, it won't.
I'm not fully aware or informed on KOSA, but I know for sure this shit will cause more suicides and suffering for kids my age from what I've read and seen.
Fuck KOSA, and everything it stands for.
(Edit: we should do what we did in like 2020 or something, where people would hack the representatives credit cards lol)

MORE PRESSURE HEADCANONS
Round two of my Pressure headcanons! My design for M.A.H.C.T./Noel is coming soon, for now have the headcanons I made for it. Here we go!!!!
EYEFESTATION (Any pronouns/Sea/Fang/Bite)
34 years old
AFAB librafeminine monstergender, aromantic omnisexual
Used to aspire to become a pop punk star on Tiktok, made a deal with Mr. Lopee in 2017 to obtain the power to psychologically force people to pay attention to them and praise them, with the condition they wouldn't abuse it. She eventually broke the deal, and in 2020 Mr. Lopee sold her out to Urbanshade through an anonymous report
Was born a premie baby, but still managed to grow at the same size as Angler's
Sea and p.A.I.nter are basically online friends who finally got to meet irl. Between 2018 and 2022, they knew each other on BloxTwitter; their irl meeting was incredibly emotional for Eyefest because p.A.I.nter abruptly stopped being active and this made her very worried
P.A.I.NTER (He/They/Web/Png/Jpeg/Pix(el)/.txt/Paint)
30 years old
Tech and web-related xeno hoarder, biromantic
Years of mining crypto (yes even when he was a minor) took its toll on his physical health. Now web can barely walk and mostly uses a wheelchair to move around; has chronic muscle and joint pain, sleeping problems and a shitton of trauma
Between 2018 and 2023, the company that used .txt switched them from mining to secretary. The last year before Urbanshade, p.A.I.nter was caught having contacts outside and completely lost his privacy, having someone behind him almost all of the time
Gets cold easily, wears cozy clothes all of the time
Doesn't really want to interact with the Deepsea Fish squad, pix thinks they're a bunch of dangerous weirdos (especially Blitz and Pandemonium). Respects better Chainsmoker tho, kelp is in the clear for the hacking genius
NICOLE aka NOT-SO IMAGINARY FRIEND (It/She)
Technically ageless, looks and sounds like she's in her mid 20s
Programmed by the manufacturer to be a Cis Woman and sex and romance-repulsed aroace
All remotes summon her, it just makes her visible to more people at the same time. However, it can manifest on its own if no one has used a remote in the last 48 hours
Ghost-like in nature, it cannot physically interact with anything with some exceptions. Some of which include: the person who summoned her, activated remotes, other objects made specifically for it by the manufacturer
It knows what's causing the fumes in the Paranoia Boxes, and it's the same thing in both the free box and the one inside Chainsmoker. However, that's all she can says without getting in danger for sharing too much...
She knows so many things about everyday life from the late 1920s and onwards. I wonder why...
NOËL aka MY ANALOG HORROR CHRISTMAS TREE (It/Gift/Light/Holly/Snow/Analog/Footage)
Unknown age, it doesn't really care but insists on celebrating its birthday on December 21th "to not take up space for the best day of the year". Sounds in hollys late 20s
Analogue horror, winter and Christmas-related xenos that do not involve any of the media involved in its incidents, aceflux polysexual
Talks about how characters such as Santa Claus and Rudolph "usurped the vital role of the christmas tree in the holiday lifestyle". Noël indeed believes snow "saved" Christmas (the document says otherwise 💀)
Only breaches containment from Late November until early January to organize the entirety of Christmas season in the Blacksite: it puts on the decor at the start and takes them off at the end, to give regular gifts on Christmas and snacks on Boxing Day, and to collect gifts for its birthday
Speaking of Noël's birthday, you do benefit from giving analog something. You leave the gift at the door of your office or containment cell, and the gift holly will give you few days later will be exactly what you've wanted! And of course, not making a present means getting either coal or an ugly sweater

gossip girl here, your one and only source into the ultra-rich, scandalous lives of race car drivers of formula 1.
hi loves! our first post!!!! ahhh!!!!! foremost, happy race week in australia! oscar piastri, daniel riccardo, and notably valtteri bottas’ home race, of course. its been such a hard week without racing hasn’t it?? i know it has been for me. thankfully, racing is back in melbourne for the weekend<3
before i start, if ur not into truly gossipy stuff— THIS IS NOT FOR YOU!! this will go into territory of wag gossip, silly rumours, and other cheesy stuff like that. you have been warned.
onto this weeks gossip !!!
everybody knows 18-year-old prodigy ollie bearman, who made his f1 debut with scuderia ferrari just two weeks ago in the scrupulous circuit that is the jeddah corniche circuit filling in for carlos sainz jr, sick from appendicitis. (hopefully this doesnt cause another chain of events like a certain driver whos number is 23, knock on wood) the academy driver started 11th on the grid and finished in the points, all the way to 7th, despite being such a hard circuit and also having very little experience with real formula 1 cars.
what not everybody knows about is his girlfriend, estelle— formerly silly_lettuce on all social media. truly, she is gorgeous. a picturesque couple, no?
estelle ogilvy langinier manning, (allegedly) is 21 years old law student out of london. the couple ‘hard launched’ from ollie’s instagram story a couple months ago. (picture is from his instagram) from the crumbs ive picked up from my dear friends on insta and tiktok, ollie is not the only racing driver she’s ever dated. ive been hearing through the grapevine that she dated f2 drivers zak o’sullivan since they were neighbours in the past and has also been with franco colapinto, confirmed(? texts could be fake) by herself through a message thread on instagram.
aside from racing drivers, there has been more rumors of her being with a guy from boy band, as well as a finance man.
with a simple instagram search of ‘sillylettuce,’ you will get a video credited to her old account with her alleged ‘finance boyfriend.’ this search will also get you this picture on the left, uploaded by downtown.chix in december of 2020.
left picture heaves largely compared to the right, taken from an archived picture from her now deactivated instagram account. 🫡
if we bring out search back around tiktok and do another search of silly lettuce, you’ll be met with a video from user sunnymonday on tiktok, going by the name india rawsthorn. the video is a trend from 2021 ‘rating my friends dance moves’
estelle earned herself a spot in the video, sporting a very different look than. 🤨🤨🤨🤨
this is estelle— India has many videos of estelle on her account
some people think its plastic surgery, maybe a drastic weight loss journey. whatever it might be, this isn’t the only thing that raises a couple eyebrows since thanks to the very intrigued people of the internet, we have since found out she started studying at durham uni in 2018. unless she is a young sheldon type prodigy who started college at 11, this would mean she is 24/25 now.
shortly after people started finding out, she ‘coincidentally’ got hacked. yikes!
*i can confirm this one is real— i saw it in real time😭
if you try to look her account on tiktok and instagram up now, nothing will pop up. mm.. following the discovery of her age, she immediately (allegedly) changed her information on linkedin. 🤔🤔🤔 how do you guys feel about this? i have a theory right here from one of my mutuals from twitter.
“Wooooww Estelle is really going down the road of saying that "we're obsessed"
her obsession is finding someone famous, and potentially rich to climb the social ladder of fame
I'm not trying to shame her about her plastic surgery, but it's obvious that some type of touchup was done and there's nothing wrong with that but I get the sense that she's trying to hide that she isn't all natural when in reality there has been something drastically done”
what’s your guy’s opinions? leave them below😘 my inbox is always open as well as my dms, so if u ever need to talk or want to chat about my posts, hmu! (tips are always accepted too)
until next time race-watchers, xoxo, gossipgirlgasoline

Influencers Shaping Public Health Misinformation: "Dr. Tiktok" and Mukbang Culture
MDA20009 Digital Communities │ Week 7: Public Health Campaigns
Are you like me and every other human on this planet? Always on the phone, doomscrolling through Tiktok, Instagram reels and Youtube.
Undeniably, it has now gone out of bounds as social media can be a great source of entertainment, but they've also let the floodgates open for a lot of misinformation generally with reference to health and wellness. Once you spend long enough on such platforms, towards the end, you will begin to observe the visible rise of self-proclaimed "experts" giving out advice on every health issue, from mental to skincare, which is starting to raise eyebrows.
On the other hand, influencers involved in Mukbang culture are distorting the message about eating habits and body image. Their unethical health narratives, though not clearly disseminated, confuse the followers and damage public health campaigns well-designed to give accurate, science-backed messages.
The Rise of Self-Proclaimed Health Experts
TikTok's short video format encourages users to share quick tips, life hacks, and advice, earning it the nickname "the therapist's couch of Gen Z" (Weikle, 2024). Although it owes a great deal to destigmatizing mental health and making it easier to talk about issues, there have also been concerns about misinformation. Indeed, the unqualified pretender plays out their authority over complex issues, such as mental health, nutrition, or skincare.
Self-diagnosis and providing mental health advice has been an emerging trend as of late. The "Dr. TikToks" profess to know all the symptoms of illnesses like depression, anxiety, or ADHD and can influence viewers into self-diagnosing rather than visiting a professional. Research by the University of British Columbia found that of the 100 most popular TikTok videos about ADHD, over half contained misleading information, most of which relied on personal experiences rather than being clinical experts (Weikle, 2024).
Another disturbing thing is that some influencers take up roles as skincare experts by providing tips on easy access to perfect skin through their 'magic' ingredients. One infamous example is the TikTok influencer/physician's assistant (TikTok handle: devthepa) who promoted beef tallow, a rendered fat from beef, as a skincare miracle. According to her, beef tallow could give your skin a glowy look, like DUH, of course, fat is oil, so of course, it gives that "glowy effect" when, in reality, it's just oily. Dermatologists quickly debunked these claims. Despite concerning warnings, the video still went viral, and many people, particularly younger followers, began to follow this advice without understanding how useless it is.
Misinformation tends to be left unchecked. That underlines the utility of unverified advice. TikTok encourages conversations that can help destigmatize mental illness yet lends themselves to those throaty mouths and parroting personal anecdotes mixed with professional credentials as influencers.
Mukbang Culture: The Illusion of Eating Without Consequences
A comparison between 2 famous Mukbangers: Eat with Boki and Nikocado Avocado
Mukbang has invaded the world, coming from South Korea, where influencers devoured high volumes of food while engaging viewers. The practice has gained much prominence on sites like YouTube and TikTok. Mukbangers mainly eat a lot of calories while looking like they ate nothing at all through some strenuous workouts to attain and maintain their healthy-looking figures. This world creation misleads the average person into believing there are no health risks associated with overeating, especially when the influencers do not mention calorie deprivation or editing tricks (Amrane, 2020).
Encouragement towards excessiveness has been opposed to measures taken on public health with regard to balanced eating. Mukbang content may provide some retreat for viewers, or even a little companionship, but it then normalizes excessive consumption and food choice itself for being excessively unhealthy for audiences. For younger groups, this distortion can ruin their standards toward the reality of nutrition as well as create misinterpretations in eating patterns. Mukbang culture, according to Amrane (2020), relies on and impacts instant gratification sacrifices for long-term health, forming an unhealthy aspect over food.
The social consequences are huge. Public health efforts, such as anti-obesity campaigns, speak about moderation and mindful eating, while mukbangs endorse a lifestyle of excess, which is contrary. Beyond the individual consequences, this trend reveals a more universal ethical dilemma: waste normality and overconsumption in a world where there is still hunger.
The Dangers of Medical and Health Misinformation
Self-proclaimed medical experts and mukbang influencers on social media are more interested in entertainment and sponsorships than in the well-being of their audience, advertising useless supplements, self-medication and the wrong lifestyle. This shifts reliance from true healthcare providers to fake ones, thus allowing fake health information to spread quickly and widely without fact checking. The main characteristic of social media, which is lack of regulation, assists the spread of these fabrications to millions and complicates efforts in promoting public health.
Combating Misinformation: Key Strategies
So, how do we combat this growing wave of misinformation?
Platform Accountability: social media platforms take greater responsibility for what is shared online. While Instagram and TikTok have made important strides in tackling some harmful content, there is much further to go with respect to health-related advice from credible sources. Such platforms should focus their attention on verified health professionals and improve tools for flagging or reporting misleading advice.
Adapt Public Health Campaigns: Partner up with relevant influencers to relay accurate, engaging, and evidence-based health information.
Promote Media Literacy: Educate the public to tell the difference between real health advice from personal stories or unverifiable claims.
Conclusion
In an age of social media where viewpoints on health and wellness are created, this has become an important point for all awareness and updates. The healer "Dr TikTok" and, of course, Mukbang culture gives importance to the phrase mentioned above in such a way that it shows the power and pitfalls of digital platforms in the public health sphere.
Merely holding internet platforms accountable in dealing with misinformation, changing public health campaigns to bring them into the digital contemporary space, and building media literacy are steps to a country where more citizens benefit from being well-informed and health conscious. Public health campaigns must reform in the Internet age, ensuring that the right information reaches audiences before the wrong messages go viral.

I know sometimes we like to use the turtles as an escape and so we dip into their world, but I like to have them dip into our world.
Let me know if anyone else has done this, so curious. But here's my
2020 QUARANTINE TURTLE HEADCANNONS
⚠️ TW for sensitive topics, death and protests from 2020
They didn't know if they were susceptible to the virus or not
They've caught colds before so it was possible
They upped their safety game a ton, especially with their old man around
Wearing gloves and masks they were all able to get vaccinated (and maybe swipe one for the old rat too)
They did reap the benefits of extreme masking
They went out more at least in cloaks and masks
They at least got to pretend to fit in, doing yoga in the park, outdoor painting classes in central park, birdwatching even and made some very good local friends
It was surreal to them to see the city streets so much quieter
So much emptier
Crime dropped, so the turtles too became more idle
Sometimes doing the same as the rest of us
doomscrolling on TikTok (esp Mikey)
learning to bake sourdough (Leo of course)
playing Animal Crossing (Raph surprisingly)
and buying NFTs (or moreso Donnie hacking and vandalizing them to get back at pretentious dudes trying to make a quick buck)
Mikey does own one NFT though
He refused to show anyone for months
Turned out it was an art piece he commissioned to look like an NFT of a rather comical and ugly characature of Leo
And this was their first time as teens coming to terms with such a reality
In the middle of that year, one event shook us all
George Floyd
Especially when all they had been taught was that cops were the good guys
The protests were surreal
Streets lined with standing or sitting, socially distancing, masked potestors
It was upsetting enough when they were loud, but heartbreaking when they were silent
Raphael especially was upset by what happened to George Floyd, he took it harder than most, his mind went to every person he knew in his big city that was just as innocent but just as easily victimized and the thought of this happening to any one of them scared him and angered him
He didn't know what to do but he had to do something
It was months of rage sparring with his brothers, escaping into Animal Crossing, and sobbing on rooftops with Splinter before he knew how to even start processing the tragedy
He ended up joining the protests, sitting with the people he shared so much grief and anger with, hoping to make a change
Leo became silent for a while, he needed time to process
He came to a conclusion, and at first, without the approval of Splinter he started patrols in the most heavy policed parts of the city, but looking for a whole new type of crime
It took a while to learn what he was looking for, and he was too late in some situations
This was the part where he sought Splinters wisdom
Splinter helped him to identify cops with the worst track records, and how to help those most in need, especially the kids
While a rather Raph move on his part, Leo's new version of vigilante-ism is fueled by having always thought he was similar to cops, fighting crime and leading by example
Leo is disgusted that they'd abuse their power for the cheapest power trips and with the cruelest consequences
Donnie, as part of his NFT hacking to gift money off assholes, used that money to donate to as many fundraisers as he could manage
Bail fundraisers for protesters
Medical fundraisers for every harmed in protests or additional incidents nationwide
He even managed to set up a foundation that automatically collected and donated accordingly, doubling the donated value through the same kind of investment and bank loopholes many mega corps utilize
It upsets Donnie, but he's been on the internet longest, the reality of racists and assholes was something he was keenly aware of
The only way he can sleep at night is knowing he's helped exceed multiple fundraisers because it's the only thing he feels he can do
Mikey appeared alright for a while, he tried to ignore it
But it ate away at him as his social media feed began turning to more and more discussions and awareness and responses and critical analysis
He couldn't escape it, at some point he broke
He stayed in bed for four days
He barely ate, barely drank, cried a lot
His brothers, with whatever energy they could muster tried to rally him or comfort him but nothing worked
Even Splinter struggled to get through
After four days Mikey got out of bed, but still mulled around for weeks in a daze
Eventually he ended up spending time with each of his brothers
handing out waters at protests and keeping innocent protestors out handcuffs when bad turned worse
Policing the police, watching out for kids after dark when policemen were in the area, letting the air out of tires and emptying cartridges
He edited social media videos and curated info accounts for fundraisers
All of this helped the brothers to keep moving forward, but the weight sat heavy in their hearts even as years passed and progress moved at a snails pace
It's 2024 and they still do what they can, and when tragedies happen they at least have each other to get through it
They look back painfully to the years they lived in rose colored glasses, sure they should have known, but they don't think it's an unreasonable dream to think that their city can fix what's broken and corrupt to achieve the idyllic world they used to believe in
Certainly this is a lesson they'll never forget and will continue to shape them
The new Foot Clan wears black boots and badges
Sorry for such a long post, but I think that it's important to address these things at least in my head cannons.
If you have nuance or constructive critiques I'd love to hear them. I'm not a POC but I was personally devastated by many many of the events of 2020.
As a queer person I have stood with and still stand with BLM and believe ACAB. I didn't live in NYC during that year but had friends who did and it broke the heart of the city.
If you hate that I've brought social issues into generally escapists TMNT spaces then you should probably block me or ignore any future head cannons with the appropriate trigger warnings on them.
Thank yall for your time. 💙💜🧡♥️

On Sunday February 2024 a blank video titled MELLY OH MY MY SPICE FULL SONG LEAK. was posted to the account siusheep. A youtube account with almost 300 followers with a total of 6 videos.
The account had formerly posted about the melly girls twice sharing videos of them from afar, one from a fansite and another from a concert they had had back in 2020. the other 3 videos were all videos featuring long 20 minutes shots of dread end members from concerts.
The leaked song video gained nearly 5k views within hours from Jellies saving, rewatching and sharing the video. As of now this video has been taken down from the channel, however Jellies have managed to record the song beforehand. In the video you can clearly hear Yoona, Meilli and Hinata.
Now the video has been reposted by others all over Instagram, Tiktok and X. Fans have also created fake mv's, line distribution videos, and cover of the song.
But many netizens have taken to online forums to discuss how this person was able to obtain the snippet of the song. Seeing as there other videos lead people to speculate that their just another fan.
Some have created theories such as, this person is a staff working at honeyco? some even speculate that this was all a plan by honeyco to gain attention for melly's comeback, however most people believe that honeyco was hacked by a fan.

y'know I really do feel sorry for the younger 20 somethings (and anyone in general tbh) that are suffering from tiktok brain rot around "anti-aging" advice. like the other day, I had a review/reaction video from I think james walsh the beauty influencer in my fb watch feed, where he was reviewing/debunking the bs anti-aging advice that people give on tiktok.
one of the videos he reacted to was from some 21yo beauty influencer or some rando idk, I'm not on there. her piece of advice was to "always sleep on your back like a vampire to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and crows feet. that's how I stay looking so fresh... even though yes I'm 21 which contributes quite a bit but still. be disciplined about sleeping on your back ALL NIGHT, EVERY NIGHT to get the PERFECT SKIN!!!" like im sorry, what???? you're 20 fucking one (21). why the FUCK do you feel compelled to give "anti-aging" advice??? why the fuck do you even care about anti-aging stuff when you're like at least 10 YEARS away from any considerable signs of aging beginning to slowly show??? get the fuck out of the house and enjoy nature or some shit. instead of lamenting that you're "getting so old by the minute so I MUST ELIMINATE laugh lines and crows feet even though im still only 21."
"but but. it's in the name of self care." I can hear some people say. "but but. it shows that as a woman you take high self-care maintenance of yourself if you begin EARLY with seeking out remedies for and eliminating the signs of aging" other people are saying. and finally: "but but. look at zendaya (or some other young 20 something movie star or TT influencer like idek mikayla nougeira). she's promoting revlon anti-aging serums! it can't be that bad!!!"
I raise to people with the first response that: no. having some 21yo condescend to you that you MUST fight to stay younger and sleep uncomfortably on your back stiffly like a vampire is NOT self care. starting to "fight" the signs of aging is NOT being a high maintenance woman in your early 20s. it's just being fucking insanely obsessed with youth..... when like... you're still young as fuck. like yes I made jokes about feeling ancient and old and w/e when i was 21.... but that doesnt mean that i became weirdly focused on trying to eliminate any crows feet and laugh lines....... that weren't even fucking on my face yet!!!!!! or cellulite that's on my legs.
moreover, for zendaya or other beauty influencers that may promote anti-aging products. they get paid either 10s of thousands of dollars or hundreds of thousands or maybe even up to possibly millions of dollars for promoting some bs estee lauder/revlon etc etc anti-age defying gravity super plumping and hydrating hyaluronic acid and idek retonoid vitamins C and E serum fuck shit.... against you, a random 21yo from god knows where in the US (usually).... like idek calabasis or houston or whatever the fuck with fuck knows how many low count followers (im assuming but probs not idek and idc)....
the people who I'll listen to about aging are people who have actually lived a life. like jamie lee curtis. like sandra oh. like leslie jones. like viola davis. idek just people who have ACTUALLY lived a life and are happy with aging, i guess (even if yes, they're famous and kinda unrelateable anyway). not some fucking stuck up rude asf early 20 something whose watched 3 fucking antiaging brain rot videos on tiktok and NOW thinks that they're the utmost expert on anti-aging hacks. and this is coming from someone whose nearly 30. fucking embrace getting older in your 20s. cherish it and use it wisely.
I say this as someone who, in 2020 at 25, nearly fucking died twice after a massive surgery. why the fuck should I give a fuck about crows feet???? laugh lines (ie lines of fucking J O Y)???? my cellulite??? when I'm 28 this year??? (*cue these TT brain rot girlies* EEEEWWWWW OLD HAG WHO DOESNT DO GOOD HIGH MAINTENANCE SELF CARE TO FIGHT THE SIGNS OF AGING EEEEWWWW!!!!!) I'm finally healthy again.... but realisitcally, YOU ARE the one that needs to look in the mirror and realise that being young and looking young ain't that crash hot, really. wise the fuck up and delete tiktok and escape anti-aging brain rot.... when you're still a kid (in a sense) stumbling about in your early 20s... stop giving a fuck about useless shit you can't avoid.

for that one ask game: 10, 17, 16, 22, 13
answers below cut!!!
10.) if your story is titled, why did you choose that title?
critical damage!! was supposed to be a placeholder name but i got waaaay too attached to it lol. i named it that bc it Sounded Cool (and tbh a lot of the choices i make for crit dmg are just “whatever seems cool”). funniest thing about naming it crit dmg is hearing the words critical damage being said in any other context (like as a video game stat or something) and being reminded of my oc thing :)
17.) describe the "required reading" to understand your vision. be as pretentious as possible.
play/listen to all the stuff i mentioned in that crit dmg inspo post i made (+ read/watch csm cuz thats also very crit dmg-core)
also listen to these three songs too for the complete Critical Damage!! Experience™️
16.) imagine the entire story takes place but in the meantime the characters all also have tumblr. what kind of (terrible) tumblr posts would happen?
oh man this ones a bit hard to answer!! if all the crit dmg dudes had social media (they most likely do) they’d all have the crit dmg equivalent of like twitter or tiktok or something (the really popular ones basically). but it would be funny if some bystander was liveblogging a fight they’re watching between vinny n mae and some hyperdemon on tumblr dot com
22.) you have been given unlimited funds to make two adaptations of some sort, however you cannot make any other adaptations of any other sort. which two formats do you choose?
if crit dmg wasn’t a hack n slash video game it would definitely be an anime with the same animation style as FLCL or something animated by studio trigger or something lol. if i was still allowed to make a video game of it but specifically not a hack n slash it could be a pretty good rpg
13.) how long have you been working on this project? what has changed from the outset?
ive been working on crit dmg since 2021! ive also had vinny for a little longer (made him 2020 as a stand-alone character). besides from like. redesigns and me getting better at writing.. uriels motives were COMPLETELY different back them (and also very poorly written) and there were two characters part of ENDS that i got rid of in like early 2023 I think? im not gonna talk about them now cuz this post is getting VERY long but i figured they didn’t contribute anything important to the story and decided to scrap them 🤷♂️ i might talk more about them in a different post if i feel like it
#perry answers#oc talk#ask#critical damage!!#ask game#long post#rereading this right now and hoooly shit i don’t think i introduced hyperdemons to this blog?#whatever ill eventually post about them soon (and i mean that!!)#all you need to know about em is that they’re basically the main bosses of crit dmg . Yeah

ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the ultimate fic hack on being a popular fanfic writer:
i don’t really write fics for the sake of popularity anymore, but if you’re trying to ride the waves, pay attention.
1. write for “new” fandoms.
a good example right now would be The Last of Us. huge debut on HBO, lots of new people to the fandom, especially for Pedro Pascal -> Joel.
which means demand for good Joel fanfic will be up. and it could run your stats crazy like this:
two fics that were posted within hours of each other YESTERDAY. both of them had some connection to pedro (the one of the left had a gif of him, the one on the right tagged him).
—
another good example that has passed: the league of legends show on netflix. Arcane was a HUGE hit, and there were several characters that could’ve been written for.
below are notes taken from headcanons alone from february.
—
2. pay attention to demand.
demand can be taken in several ways. what i explained above in “new” fandoms is demand.
however, i mean it in a different way now. sometimes there’s a specific niche part of a fandom that doesn’t get a lot of fanfic on it.
my first example will be The Walking Dead regarding Rick Grimes and baby Judith.
i’ve written 2 imagines with this concept, and both of them look like this:
the one on the left way posted in early may of last year, and the one on the right was posted at the end of december.
i had a feeling that the newest one would be popular, based on the request:
“really struggling to find fluff like that”. is the key phrase. if there’s not much fanfic on that specific part of the fandom, you can get popular off of it.
—
3. a fandom resurrection.
perfect time to make fanfiction. my best example of this was the Harry Potter craze on tiktok.
if you remember—since it was three years ago—you knew how many POV’s, edits, imagines and fanfics were written about Draco Malfoy alone.
i was in on it on tiktok, and i had a few benefits from it (albeit small, but i didn’t have many followers at the time).
out of my top 10 posts in december of 2020, 5 of them belong to draco malfoy. on the top 6, 5 of them were for draco malfoy.
—
4. popular but “dead” fandoms.
this one might be a little controversial but bare with me.
fandoms like: twilight, the hunger games, grey’s anatomy, etc. are always a safe bet for low to no notes. i’m not saying it’s impossible, i’m just saying that they’re not high demand, because their times are basically done (however, i’m going to be keeping an eye out for the hunger games in november, when TBOSAS drops).
but there’s also fandoms like supernatural or attack on titan that make it hard to predict if you’ll get hit on notes or not. not everything is categorizable.
—
and i’m going without mentioning a key element here: tagging. tagging is your best friend in everything you do. if you have shit tags, then there’s a good chance you get buried beneath all the other fanfic.
there’s also typically a few week window where getting in on the popularity wave will work, but eventually dwindle out. i get influxes of followers because of certain fics, but they never interact with my blog ever again most of the time.
end note: write what makes you happy and good luck.
#ilguna#idek what to tag this#advice#fandom advice#i hate annoying posts in the wrong tags so i won’t be tagging weird shit
