reading punchline: the gotham game really got me thinking about how dc publishes about 5-6 more comics on a weekly basis than marvel and the indies and it’s really interesting how at this point in time we really do have dc comics for wildly different audiences (even with the bat oversaturation). geoff johns talking about how stargirl: the lost children will be essentially a modern young all-stars while the jsa ongoing will be a modern all-star squadron is a perfect example of that in itself but this week’s punchline book was such a shock to the senses just now because it’s so obviously meant for young teens and as far as i can tell, especially with the yj book doubling as nostalgia bait, quite genuinely the only book of its kind being published rn. oddly fascinating read for that reason alone
