Welcome to my mom 🤝 veronica montez. Aka a list of shit my hispanic mother has done to me that I think are in character for one of our local ops. Aka pt 2 fleshing out rubens mommy issues.

I have posted about some of these before but back at it again at crispy cream ✨️

Never taught him Spanish becsuse his parents didn't want him to have an accent (it's his fault though)

Never taught him about his culture becsuse "you never wanted to know" (was not true also its still his fault)

When he came out he was told "no you're not" in response to "mom I think I like boys and I'm gay"

When he was 10 years old Ruben did not want to clean his room. Lovely veronica responded by saying that if he didn't get it picked up he'd get deported to live with his grandparents that did not live in the states and only spoke Spanish. She was not joking and was 100% serious.

Any time she goes to tell him she's proud of him Ruben's mom has to lead with "I know I'm an awful mom but-"

Any time he has every tried to say "mom I don't like this thing you do" it always becomes a "Well since I'm such an awful mom"

Any mental health struggle Ruben has ever had has not been about him because it always becomes "I'm such a bad mom that's why you're mentally ill"

Yes this is all real shit my mom has said and done and all the quotes are direct. She doesn't remember any of this stuff cause for me it was a life altering event but for her it was Tuesday ✨️✨️✨️

New random headcanon set (I guess??? Idk what to call it)

Which social media platform is preferred by each Saturday member in order from most to least favorite idk chat I just be saying shit

Ruben: Twitter, hates Elon loves the platform. When he found out bluesky existed he transferred over almost immediately. Then Instagram where he posts fit checks and not unhinged candids. His insta story is a little more unhinged and is f u l l of "omg i love my man 🤪" typenof stuff. Then it's tiktok which is basically tied with insta but it's slightly lower. Tiktok is where he posts all his silly goofy stuff. A lot of random trends and story times/rants while making his overly elaborate iced coffee every morning because "yes i am that bitch ✨️" -ruben. After tiktok it's snapchat. It's only this low cause he forgets he has a public snap story and when he remembers it he'll do a cursed photo dump that sparks a bunch of new meme templates in the Saturday fandom and then he forgets about it again. When Ruben remembers the snapchat Saturdays they refer to it as "papa returned with the milk" or "we have been watered" and they exclusivly identify as neglected children with a dead beat father or a neglected succulent that only gets watered when it's about to die. And last place is Tumblr. He got it cause Zach said he should. He doesn't hate it but he also doesn't get the eco system if that makes sense. Ruben also follows the big updates accounts for Saturday as a whole and them as individuals in every social platform. Sometimes he'll send the ones that are kinda random or not really updates to the group chat (ex: Zach and angel were seen getting coffee last week) with a message that's like "truly riveting stuff".

Angel: Instagram is his ride or die. He posts near weekly photo dumps of random things from the week including selfies, posed and candid pictures of the boys in varying levels of unhingedness, their pets, food, and random things he found interesting that week. His birthday photo dumps are always 10/10 and he pulls the photos for the birthday posts on the offical Saturday account too. He never posts on his insta story though cause it's the one thing about the platform he doesn't like. Then its snapchat which is basically tied with instragram. He uses snap as an insta story cause he likes snapchat better for stories. His snap is all over the place and has a lot of behind the scenes stuff, candid pictures and videos, and sometimes random memes he thought were funny. I'm sure we all remember angels snapchat hoes. After snap it's tiktok which is also tied with snap and Instagram. Angel posts a lot of random stuff from dances he forces the others to do with him, to thirst traps, to random trends like evil kitty. Idk if you guys remember when I said this but he loves the "he doesn't know I'm having our son 🤭" meme trend. He also posts about fanfic stuff since he is very ✨️chronically✨️ online He posts a lot of stuff of him annoying the others as well. Then after insta, snap, and tiktok is Tumblr. He likes messing with Zach on his "home turf". He loves the asks system and does a lot of amas on Tumblr. He also takes most of the fic recs for the fanfic streams from the Tumblr Saturdays. Last place is Twitter. He's never really liked the platform ever. And that's all I got on that one. If twitch counts as a social platform then his favorite is twice he just doesn't stream as much as he posts to Instagram.

Zach: I think Tumblr has been zachs favorite social platform since long before Saturday and it still is. He likes that he can just say shit with virtually no consequence because of Tumblr's block and move on culture. He and Angel love to post random memes like "inside you there are two wolves they are both boys and they kiss" with no context. Just drop a funny and dip. He has a separate blog for fan art that is getting new stuff reblogged to it daily. After Tumblr is snap. He does mildly unhinged photo dumps and takes a lot of candid videos. He likes doing snapchat qnas. After snap is tiktok. He posts pretty inconsistently but when he does its always something pretty funny. He also randomly deletes tiktoks just cuz so they're always aggressively saved by the Saturdays and reuploaded to update accounts. Then its insta. He likes insta for scrolling and following artists but he's not a huge fan of posting there. He does do birthday photo dumps, valentines posts, random "feel single losers ❤️" posts, and cat photo dumps. He absolutely hates Twitter. Hates the platform. Hates Elon. Hates the culture. Hates all of it. He's been trying to get banned on Twitter by making fun of Elon musk for years. In interviews "Elon ban me pls", once a year he posts "you should ban me" on the same day it's an event, and also posting about it on other socials. Half the time when someone asks what's something he wishes he could do or have his response is "be banned off twitter". "Get banned off Twitter" and "win a Grammy for album of the year" both occupy the same level of importance on his bucket list.

Jon: he likes doom scrolling quite a bit and being in the others posts or stealing their phones to post off their accounts (it's always something ridiculous like posting "i have a piss kink" onto angels twitter account) but doesn't like posting on his own as much. He's definitely someone that likes to lurk just liking posts without ever really comenting. Out of all the socials tho he likes Instagram the most. He appreciates the "drop a picture and dip" ability. And he's a pretty solid photographer. He takes pictures of the boys obviously but also just everyday things that he thought looked interesting like birds outside the window or smth like that. He's with Ruben in liking Twitter but hating Elon so he has also migrated to blue sky. He drops occasional bangers like "I'd only indulge in the sucking of toes as a means of achieving thighs" and then dip for another 2 months. I likes to use tiktok to act like an old man that doesn't understand technology. It is a very very amusing bit to him. He likes snapchat slightly less than tiktok. He posts a lot of behind the scenes stuff to snapchat. It really just depends on what's going on its anything from snippets of the song writing process to dance practices to recording studio sessions. He's always comically dry with his responses to questions though "oh what are you guys working on" "song ✨️" type stuff. I don't think Jon would ever really use Tumblr beyond interacting with the fandom directly and looking at fan art. Idk chat I feel like after having as much of a public life as he's had he just wouldn't be that into posting himself on social media. Every time he posts its a special event and there are always theories about what could be going on if Jon is posting but in reality he was just bored. He does find it hilarious to watch the Saturdays try and derive meaning from "I just watched my cat roll off the cat tree onto the floor". But he is 100% addicted to Instagram and tiktok for scrolling. Ironically the like 16 hour tiktok "ban" in the states was the worst for Jon cause he'd been deep in the tiktok trenches when it happened.

I also think that their preferences would change up a bit for their personal not celebrity accounts. Like I think once a month Zach would post photo dumps to Instagram. And that Angel posts random life updates like "just took a dump" to his personal snap story all the time. And that all of their tiktok pages would just be the drafts that were too foul for main. The personal accounts are also way more for nerdy fandom hobby stuff.
