How did you meet?

You and Alhaitham were always the two most revered individuals in the Akademiya. Underclassmen and upperclassmen alike aspired to be like one of you. You've been compared to each other for years, and it eventually led to a rivalry between you two. Your respective friend groups came together to discuss a plan to get you two together because the way you two admired each other's work so much was diabolical. The way people compared you to Alhaitham— and vice versa— pulled you two apart and created bitter feelings for both of you. Your friends took the initiative to bring you two together at long last.

♪ How does he love?

Alhaitham's love is quiet. He observes you from afar and takes in your beauty wordlessly. He finds that there isn't any use in trying to write about you or even try to explain how he feels, because it was only when he met you that he realized how useless words can be in the realm of conveying pure, raw and unadulterated emotion. He believes that to define his emotions for you is to limit. It's only when you ask him how he feels does he stop and think of the best honest answer. "I suppose you're just... my favorite person."

♪ How does he treat you?

Alhaitham treats you as an equal. He values your input above all else, just as he does his own. You're likely the first person he'd ever go to for advice, and he hopes you feel the same regarding him. He looks out for you, even if he thinks you're competent enough to look out for yourself. He's the kind of significant other to gently guide you alongside himself with a hand on your back through a dense crowd. He enjoys your company, whether you're rowdy, quiet, or something in between.

#2 — Tighnari

How did you meet?

Tighnari was your closest friend, and always has been. You two may be lovers now, but above all else, your companionship is something that's always been present between you two. Your first meeting involved both of you getting stuck in a bramble patch while both of you happened to be heading towards a large Withering area in Avidya Forest. After dealing with that whole ordeal— including the Withering problem— you tended to each other's wounds and ended up becoming partners. Every time Tighnari went out to help with a persistent issue, he'd offer to bring you along, and vice versa. It wasn't until years of doing this together that Tighnari found himself infatuated with you.

How does he love?

Tighnari's love is almost familial. He treats you as if you're his spouse, even while you're still in the dating stage. He's not too romantic, and he prefers to keep his relationship with you more domestic than anything else. He knows how to maintain a healthy balance between you, his friends, and his work. He'll definitely want you to put some work into your relationship with him, too, because a two-person relationship can't hinge entirely upon just one of you, right?

How does he treat you?

Tighnari cares deeply for you, and he voices it very often, although mostly in private. He doesn't particularly mind public displays of affection, but he prefers his words of adoration to be heard by you and you only. He wants to protect you, but there's part of him that yearns for you to be by his side anytime he encounters danger. Tighnari knows he can trust you to take care of yourself but he will always worry, and he'll always go out looking for you when you're away.

He was the light within your darkness, a comforting lantern that stood upon your domain of blood. He was such a breath of fresh air, someone that you could tolerate in the cursed world you resided in.

However there was one thing that bothered you about him-out of all of the people he could have been with, why did he choose you?

In your opinion, you felt that there were plenty of better partners that he could have been with, and definitely have a healthier relationship with. You felt bad because it seemed like you were a burden to him, as you were always feeling down in the dumps.

Besides, you as the darkness did not want to dull the light that you loved so dearly.

The thought hurt so much, that 'he was making a sacrifice for the world by being with you'. You wanted him to be happy, to not deal with you since you were convinced you were a problem, something that should be wiped from this world. The aching in your chest only felt deeper day by day as you found yourself growing more and more distant from him.

Until one day, the medications were not seeming to work anymore. The emotions ran to its climax, and the feelings of negativity deep inside became shadows that blurred your vision.

The pain, it was too much to handle.

It was suffocating, as though you were drowning a cold sea of your own blood. You reached for the knife, hoping to dull out the agoney, only to be stopped.

"My love, what are you doing?" His voice was god-sent, a comforting tone that brought you back to your senses ever so slightly.

He looked at you with such softness, gently holding your wrist to prevent you from hurting yourself. 

Hot tears trickled down your face slowly, leaving traces of saltiness behind as you stared at the ground, ashamed to even look at his radiant gaze. "Don't look at me. I'm...so terrible."

His heart crumbled at your words, a wave of concern and protection washed over him as he took a step closer to you. "Don't say that. You're not terrible."

"But I am!" You cried out, tears falling nonstop as your throat felt dry from distress. "I don't deserve you. I'm such a terrible person, I made so many mistakes, and I never seem to do better!"

You coughed out the words that have been stabbing at your core every single day, but all you could see is blood everywhere, and your demons laughing at you, saying how much of a failure you were.

"I'm... a failure."

Warm arms wrapped around you and shielded you from the blood, demons, and darkness, suddenly making your cold, numb limbs feel lifelike again. Your lover kissed your forehead, a reminder that you were a treasure to worship.

"You are not a failure, or a terrible person," He whispered into your ear as he rubbed soothing shapes along your back. "You are such a great person with many great talents, values, and potencial. You might not see it yet, but everyone around you appreciates you. Take me as an example, I am so lucky to be with someone like you, who cares and takes care of me like no one else does. If you ever harm yourself, I will be devastated."

One sniff, then two sniffles. You tried your best to understand his words as he stared at you with love. You didn't really believe his words, but you knew that you could trust that he was being honest. The blood sea of darkness slowly seemed to fade away as the gentle light gave you a warm embrace.

In that moment, you knew you were loved, and you were worth his love.

Tighnari's voice echoed throughout the beautiful ballroom. For the guests who are attending the ball, it is such an honour to be attending the Avidya ball but for Tighnari, it's just another way for people to make a name for themselves, after all this would be a very publicized party.

A clap rang through the ballroom as Tignari finished his opening speech. He walks down the stairs while greeting the people who came up to him, congratulating him for his achievement as the next ruler for the kingdom.

'Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy

Vanished when I saw your face'

Of course his eyes are not focusing on the people around him, rather he is looking for a particular way to escape this party. "My apologies, if you'll excuse me, I have a matter to attend to". Everyone immediately bow and a hushed sorry and of course pours out as they make way for him.

As Tighnari finally reached the balcony door, he stopped for a while to look at the beautiful surroundings. He walked towards the side of the balcony, revealing a beautiful staircase with vines surrounding it that seemed to blend with the surrounding tree. The staircase leads to the forest immediately.

'All I can say is, it was enchanting to meet you'

Tignari was walking but he stopped, seeing someone else taking his spot. A glimpse of a beautiful pair of translucent wings that seems to glimpse under the moonlight. Tignari knows any type of wing that belongs to a bug.. but this one is different because it is attached to someone.

You played with the clear water from the pond, splashing around without a care, the cloak that you usually use just lays near one of the trees. You are one of the few lasting fairy remaining in Teyvat. Most of your history is buried under the ground but it's best to not dig it up for now.

'Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"

Your body jolts when you hear a footstep behind you. You turn your head to see a man with a long ear, a feature you are familiar with that linked him to the Avidya Kingdom. You stare at him, as your body froze. When he takes a step you immediately go to fight or flight mode.

Tighnari noticed this and so he decided to immediately say something "hello, uh.. I.. do not have intention to hurt you". His calming voice makes you falter abit but you immediately tense up when he walked slowly towards your cloak "I suppose this is yours?" He took the cloak as he walked towards you, eyes full of curiosity and interest. You take it slowly from his hand and stay still as you hold the cloak close to your chest.

'The playful conversation starts

Tighnari pulled out his hand and offered it to you "My name is Tighnari, what's yours?". You look at him with skepticism but decide to go along with it.. afterall it has been quite a while since you made a friend. "I am y/n" you shake his hand back with much caution before pulling your hand away.

As Tignari tries to look for a topic- anything just to make you feel much more comfortable while you play with the hem of your folded cloak in your arms, looking back at him, mirroring the same curious glint in your eyes. "His majesty Tighnari? I thought you were crowned tonight… what are you doing outside the castle?". Tighnari is quite taken back, you know his status? Have you been living amongst humans without his knowledge? How much do you know? So many questions ran through his mind but those questions can be asked later "The ceremony is done, the only thing going now is the celebration but the guests are just enjoying themselves".

You smile at him after breaking eye contact "shouldn't you be attending to the guest?" You asked with the slight hint of teasing in your tone. He shakes his head and clears his throat "it's the same with me or without me. I would rather enjoy other… places to be in". His eyes locked on yours when he trails off on his words. You let out a little giggle before looking down towards the ground "you're not scared of being cursed by a roaming fairy?".

For a while Tighnari caught on to your teasing and let go a small ghost smile "No, I am not aware.. Perhaps a certain Fairy could teach me how to be more.. cautious?". You pull your head up again to look at him and feign a contemplating look "Perhaps.. with one condition..". The place is quiet, with the only source of music coming from the castle in a muffled noise that you can barely make out the word for " Perhaps if a certain human is willing to teach me they're ways.. I might consider helping you". You know you don't need to clarify yourself when you see the man before you smile and say "Consider it done".

'And it was enchanting to meet you

All I can say is, I was enchanted to meet you'

Everynight. Same place, same time the two of you would always meet each other, exchanging information, topics or personal interest. You have always known humans love to have things that they don't have. They are thirsty for the unknown and Tighnari is no different.. but what made him stand out is that he still cherishes you and your boundaries. Perhaps this is what makes you stay and talk to him. The way his eyes look at you doesn't seem hostile.

Tighnari would be lying if he said he's not scared but after that encounter on that one night, he can't seem to get enough of your presence. Sassy but classy is what he might call you.

Today is another ball for the Avidya Kingdom. A ball celebrating the 6th month of being the leader. People are happy with the way Tighnari leadership develops. Strict but with kindness. Of course Tighnari knew that his party would just be everyone's time to make a connection so what better way to spend time other than spending it with you.

"Out again Tighnari?" You smile as you see him getting close towards you "Of course. It's the usual no?" He counters back as he takes a seat beside you. You look at the castle peeking behind the thick trees. "Hm, the music is louder than usual" you noted out loud. Tighnari saw the same reflection in your eye when he first met you, you are looking at his castle with curiosity now.

You stare at the castle with longing as you imagine how the ball is. Women with beautiful dresses, gentlemen with dashing suits. "What does it feel like to dance until the song ends?" You wonder out loud before focusing back to Tighnari. His eyes ponder for a bit before he suddenly stands up, startling you. His hand stretches out towards you before saying

"Would you like to know?"

No other words needed to be exchanged as you took his hand. On that night everything is magical, the sound of the music blasting from the castle and the beautiful dance that is guided by the majesty himself.

As the song slowly came to an end, his hand stayed on your hips and your hand stayed on his shoulder. The two of you look at eachother eyes deeply with no words exchanged as the two of you sway back and forth to the beat of your feet. "You're a very good teacher, your majesty. It's a shame that this has to end" you smile at him, looking deep into his eyes.

"It has to end? Are you sure? I am the majesty. If I haven't ended it, it won't end" he smiled back at you, making your cheeks flush red as you look down towards your feet. "There are no more songs to dance to" you mumbled.

Tighnari cups your face with one of his hands. The sudden act of fearlessness is shocking coming from him. "A dance doesn't have to be Accompanied by a song" he stroked your cheek with his thumb for a while. "Music is important, yes, but the most important factor of a dance is the person who accompanies you".

Your eyes and his eyes shimmer under the moonlight as the both of your face closing up on eachother. "Then can we not end the dance now please?" You whisper. Tighnari doesn't have any intention of saying no so as his face closes the distance by itself he lets out a very soft yet happy "Yes" as the two of you seal the deal with a kiss. You hug his neck, pulling him closer to your embrace while he pulls your hips closer to you.

Tighnari was the first one to pull out of the kiss. Although he stopped, his eyes are still landing sternly on you. "Anything for my fairy" he said before diving back down for a kiss from you.

That night ended with him proposing that you stay in his castle whenever you'd like. As such in a classic fairy tale ending you live with him upon the beautiful castle that you once curious about.

Of course, people needed to know about your upcoming as a fairy but that thought can wait. For now you and Tighnari just drown in the enchanted moments.

“Try not to wake him.”

It’s come to be a normal sight for you and Tighnari to find Cyno lying across the divan in the corner, bolster tucked beneath his chin and his knuckles a bloodied mess. A nod is shared and he’s turned over ( there is a momentary protest — Cyno’s grip on your wrist is hard but not in a way that churns anxiety into your crevices and screams of danger ). 

“Nothing too bad this time.” you sigh, running gentle fingers through his hair. Your mouth and your head and your being hurts with that surge of tenderness. It’s cloying and it tears at your insides so easily and you let it, you let it ravage you apart like a foolish martyr ( it’s a scary thing, love ). “He’s probably tired.”

Tighnari shakes his head and levels that half conscious tangle of limbs on your lap with a withering stare. “I know you can hear me. Knock next time. We can’t help you if we don’t know you’re in the house.” He sits down next to you, fiddling with the waterskin and a few herbal concoctions. Pain killers, antibiotics — they were of your making, and his. The smell of petrichor still lingers on your skin from picking them. 

Cyno doesn’t take the bitterness well at first. The delirium leaves him vulnerable, raw, maybe endearingly clingy ( and you’d crack a smile despite the anxious edge and coo just a little. Silly man. Silly, silly man ). If your affection was something softer like carefully crafted touches to glass, Tighnari held his reins with steeliness and a hint of exasperated care. He never sugarcoats the solemn subjects and he keeps his tone level.

“Be kinder, Tighnari.” you mutter. “He’s sore.”

“He’ll probably spit it out.”

“He won't, you know he won’t.”

Tignari’s ears sag just a bit but he relents to your words, a hand coming to rest on your shoulder, a nose coming to bury into your hair. Cyno turns and cracks an eye open. He stares up at him, then at you, and it feels like sparks of ember against the night. His hand gives yours a squeeze. “I’ll help cook later.” he promises. You press a kiss to his cheek. “Breakfast…shakshuka…have you eaten?”

“Not tonight, no.” you admit softly, if talking helps him sleep again. “But I'll have some fruit before going to bed.”

Cyno doesn’t seem to like that.

“I’ll…get something ready then.” he decides. “You need to eat…it’s important…” He says it with that tempered gentleness, the type meant just for you, for Tighnari, for Collei and the little known beloved he keeps close, closer.

“Okay.” Tighnari placates. He lays Cyno back. “Rest now. And you….” his gaze snaps to you. He hands you a zaytun peach, carefully sliced. You don't have time to question the semantics or when he even got it ready. “...eat and rest, alright? You have a big day tomorrow.” 

“Right. More academic papers,” you mutter, feeling weariness settle at the thought of it. You take a peach slice and bite into it. Tighnari reaches to the side and procures another, halving it, then quartering it with his little blade. He fills the plate up again. You only just realize how starved you are. 

“And Cyno’s shakshuka.” Tignari adds with a hint of weariness. “Make sure he doesn’t burn the kitchen down.” 

( Cyno snorts in his sleep, as if the idea was plain offensive. )

How they would treat you when you're sick

Genshin Impact x GN! reader

Frist time writing for genshin how I do these boys justice, not proofread

CHILDE would treat like you were some sort of princess that could not do a single thing for herself. Need water? He gets it. Hot tea for your throat? On it. Just want cuddles because you feel like Satan has finally realized you're a threat and need to be taken out? No problem for him. Even if it means that he ends up getting sick because of being and helping you, in his eyes it is all worth it. He will do anything to keep you happy and healthy.

DILUC is a very busy man, but when you're sick he will try and make time to care for you. Though the maids are more than capable to care for you, he can use it as an excuse to get out of some of the meeting that he is suppose to be in. He will make sure that you everything you need to feel better. He would even make a trip to Bubu Pharmacy to get you anything that would help you feel better sooner.

KEAYA has no cavalry to command, so he is not a very busy man. He would stay by your sick and being you things as you need them. Though he would be helpful with getting you the things you need, he would also be an asshole and tease you. Do you have a kitten sneeze? I hope cause he will never let you live it down if you do. Might also make you laugh so hard that you end up trying to cough up a lung or something of the sorts.

ZHONGLI has a tea for you. Got a cough, sneezing, throwing up? He has a tea for you. Would be making it for you as soon as you ask for it and even gives it to you in a special teacup as well. But he would make sure that you drink all of it and not waste any of it. He also is only leaving you side when he goes to get you something something. Though he wouldn't cuddle you will move a chair to be next to the bed and read while you rest.
