@tideheart​ is blue. literally. the fun size horse to make you notice your frostbite?

It’s a special sort of cold here, and the small pieces of magical life and occurrences do little to help counter it or her boredom. The “spots of color” like the Glassgreen really are the only pieces of color in Eidolon.

Even this... tiny, tiny inquisitive horse that she’s found herself petting awkwardly after some insistent nudging, is as monochrome as most of the landscape.

Ironic, considering the pony’s presumed handler is... anything but. And she thought she was best described as blue. Sasume eyes the sea-skinned man, near-aloof expression almost wondering as to his presence, as if she’s not stroking his sort-of-furry friend by head and chin both.

It has almost been 7 months since I started this wild ride  &  basically that’s the only reason I need to give a big fat shoutout to the people who have made me insanely happy during my time here; I love everyone on my dash but this one is for the special tulips in the crowd !!  

@oceanfoamed : are you even surprised that you’re the first person on this list?? honestly, holmes, ever since you picked up on writing Jack again, and you threw yourself into watching master and commander and hornblower my blog has been 80% related to you and your muses. Plotting, shipping and writing with you in this fandom has been nothing short of a miracle. It has been a pleasure to create so many unique relationships and interactions with you. Fuck me with a rusty spoon because I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been to develop my children with you to hold my hand every step of the way. I can’t imagine what amazing things we’ll create once plotting will literally be nothing more than a shout down the stairs xoxo.

Plotting an age of sail verse for our HP kids while sitting next to one another in a rollercoaster back in September last year made me remember exactly how much I love the time period. You have been amazing support, a great friend, and I cannot express to you how much I’m going to miss you. You’re my world, an endless well of creativity. There is very little I wouldn’t do for you, snolleke. And I hope that you know that I’ll always be here for you, even if I’m on the other side of the world. I’ll be the bolleke to your snolleke, the feestje to your tent,  de Johan to your Cornelis. 

@the-empires : Kara, my lesbian lover, finding you in this fandom has been the greatest gift of 2018. Interacting with you has been a joy, a delight, a wonderful reason for me to lose sleep at night. I can´t believe The Netherlands is going to flourish with you here; because I know you’re going to brighten up the place like never before. You’re incredible, amazing, showstopping spectacular. Is there anything that you can’t do??? I have the uttermost respect for how you’re able to do all the things you do, at such insanely high levels of perfection. I love you, Kara. And I’ll be waving my flag for you every step of your way. 

@intolerablexsacrifice :  MALAKH !!!  I’m mad that I don't have enough days off to make it to your place before I leave Europe but otherwise, you know I would have loved to snuggle you and your cats. Honestly, you were one of the most pleasant surprises in this fandom I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Plotting with you comes natural, even if it’s just because of 80 songs. Talking to you is the easiest ever, and you’re just a well of endless support and affection and I cannot thank you enough for that. I cannot wait to write more with, and for, you.

I knew you from the HP fandom and I’ve been so lucky that you joined Holmes and me into the Age of Sail rpc, even if we have yet to plot out most of our interactions  (  holy shit fam timezones have been a true bitch  )   I cannot wait to do so. I’m always stunned by your writing and your creativity, your talent is truly wonderful to see on my dash and it never ceases to take my breath away. Keep on rocking, because you’re going to get hella far in life.

Updates + Action Plan

ok y’all I’ve been lounging & recovering from moving + finals hell for like a week I think it’s about time I get shit rolling again. I’ve got a pretty extensive list of commissions to finish, along with blog updates & maintenance, but the first orders of business are showering so I don’t feel gross, and getting ahold of my mother so I can take her out for a late mother’s day dinner ( she doesn’t like to pick up the phone D: ) . Aside from that, I have some school related loose ends I want to make absolutely sure are tied up, since misinformation seems to be the name of the game, here at good ol’ CCAD, and between all that I’m fairly certain I won’t be doing a lot online today. The short version of my to-do list for the remainder of the week is as follows:

create a tagging system for that aesthetic blog where I just hoard shit

update @ofsubtlearts​ to the new bio layout I’ve been using for @tidehearted​ & update any missing info.

overhaul @technicallyaferret​ 100% complete with new bio & new headcanons- & possibly even a new FC, idk, I do like Dane but also there might be better options.

finish adding new muses to @tidehearted​

finish updating info/adding verses to existing muses on @tidehearted​

work on clearing out commission pileup ( not too hard- most of them are smol/simple things, with just 2 big pieces to work on, with very loose timelines )

This is one of those ‘go hard or go home’ weeks for me, and I’m going to be in ‘hardcore’ mode until my goals are achieved. That said, while I am around doing these things, I would be more than happy to do some plotting for my HP boys while I work on bringing them back. Once the above list is complete, I fully intend to give my HP multi the same overhaul treatment that Draco is getting, except y’know. Bigger because there’s around 13 muses on there- but that’s for the next go big or go home week.

I can’t get much more unpacking done pretty much until next weekend at best, so there is very little I can do around the house until then. I’m still running on my mobile hotspot ( which I’ve learned if I keep my phone on the windowsill it works fairly well- I just can’t take my phone ANYWHERE else or it takes ages to reconnect to service ), and we won’t be getting internet for 1-2 weeks, so here’s hoping I don’t go crazy from all the slowness and waiting.

Presently I have 3 tumblr accounts I have any possible intention on using: 

my personal ( mainblog: skykinks ) which I use to follow IRL folks, artblogs, and other junk. It’s really messy, though, and I don’t log on as much as I want to. It also sort of acts as the ‘holding’ place for all my inactive sideblogs so I don’t have to feel guilty looking at URLs I’m not active on. Also currently the home of my artblog, which is a sideblog.

main RP account ( mainblog: pirequehideux ) which I use for general RP purposes. Great and all, but all my follows come from one RP blog which is currently in desperate need of an overhaul.

side RP account ( mainblog: marmoriites ) which is a??? RP account I made to house all my anime RP shit ( which is frankly mostly Voltron ), and while I really love the worldbuilding I did there, and am really happy with my muses, I don’t like the fandom and don’t feel like reaching out so... these blogs are getting shoved in the graveyard but I don’t want to abandon all the work? marmoriites started out as a sideblog and shouldn’t be TOO hard to move back to one, that way I can at least keep my #branding and my content easily accessible.

Between the first two accounts, I have-- a SHITTON of sideblogs. ( though I’m putting my full blog list here, just so all my info is in one spot )

pirequehideux - Altered Plot Phantom of the Opera. Needs a bit of a characterization overhaul. Might??? Go quiet for a while as I want to use my version of the story to make an actual graphic novel for publishing, since Leroux’s book is open license and I’ve literally written my own version!

tidehearted - Age of Sail multimuse. Not going anywhere, just needs to be polished & have some muses added.

ferrousstars - Panfandom multi for muses that don’t fit anywhere else, or whose fandoms I avoid getting too deep in. I’ve also been using it to sort of store some RPC type stuff?? Needs muses added, might have more going on- but that’ll be below.

neutralreborn - Tolkien AU Melkor. Needs a bit of a re-vamp for characterization.

forgedinflame - Tolkien Gothmog/Kosomot who might as well be an OC for all the character development I’ve given him, versus his minimal canon appearances, & has a billion AUs that make him accessible in almost any fandom- except Age of Sail because he fucking hates water. Needs to have more information added.

elvesbehavingbadly - Tolkien multimuse Needs completely rebuilt tbh, and needs characters/details added. Huge project tbh.

ofsubtlearts - HP Severus Snape. All HP blogs need a disclaimer/selectivity update. Needs some verses added and some info updated/re-organized.

technicallyaferret - HP Draco Malfoy. All HP blogs need a disclaimer/selectivity update. Needs a SERIOUS overhaul to most info/characterization details, needs tags, etc.

indiscretus - HP multimuse. All HP blogs need a disclaimer/selectivity update. Needs a complete overhaul & move to a fresh blog ( same URL ). full overhaul, basically.

violencetorn - a Kylo Ren blog I foolishly made because I fell in love with those damn movies. He may or may not make his way onto ferrousstars, but I also just want to find a use for the bg I made for this blog. Otherwise this blog is going to the graveyard.

url redacted - super hidden private marvel multi. Needs a HUGE overhaul & major update. might be going less hidden eventually with it??

marmoriites/marmcrites - voltron galra/worldbuilding hub. needs to be scooted to a sideblog & re-organized but probably needs to stay dead.

lionlocked - voltron paladin blog. Has basically no info on it whoops.

skyjynx - an aesthetic/moodboard blog. needs a url change because whoops this is my art username, needs cleaned up and some organizational tags added so I can reblog more general aesthetic pictures in addition to the blog when I don’t have time to make edits.

skyjynxart - my art blog. Needs to actually get running whoops orz

skykinks - miscellaneous??? personal??? 

Things I have been thinking about/wanting to do with my blogs/blogs I’ve been considering running:

fashion blog? - I always find gorgeous outfits/dresses/shoes/accessories/etc and think “I know I’m going to use this!!!” but have no immediate use for it so it sits in my likes for years bc I don’t have anywhere to stow it where it won’t get lost?? So I’ve been contemplating a fashion blog, or perhaps a set of fashion tags on that aesthetic blog, idk, to store stuff like that. Happening regardless of what big choice I make, but whether it’ll be a new set of tags when I revamp the aesthetic blog or a blog unto itself is to be determined.

RPH - I want to have a solid place to collect useful info, writing tips, memes I can’t use immediately but want to in the future, and possibly even answer questions for newbies or something like that. I don’t want to go super serious with a big RPH blog, but it would be nice to have somewhere to dump all my resources so they’re not scattered across blogs.

Jack’s eyes were downcast, a strange twisting of shame rolling through him as the mark on his calf received scrutiny. He had not thought to expect remark from this quarter as he walked barefoot along the balustrade of the Silent Mary, his pants rolled up from having been off her edge helping with repainting. He considered what to say, before in the end settling for a simple, “No more a myth than ghost ships, mate.”

At first, Armando had merely been admiring the sparrow’s balance, but then he had seen the mark, a blackened stain upon Jack’s leg. He lifted his hand, tracing the edge of the mark softly. “I would like to meet the one responsible for this- if only to wipe their stain from the face of the earth,” he growled. “But I will not press you.” 

His hand traced upwards, then, to the bottom of what appeared to be another mark, hidden by Jack’s pant leg- a point, of some sort, though he could see no more. At least this one did not seem blackened.

21st Sun of the Month of Flame

 Today was a holy day, one of great celebration and joy! A solar eclipse occurred, a day when the light of the god Sol is hidden behind the form of our goddess Luna. We believe it is her dancing before her brother’s throne, as she did long ago so that she could come to our world. No clouds darkened the sky or wind stirred the air, a good omen for this festival- though the heat could bake one’s scales!

No work was done today, and many slept late with the windows open in the hopes of a breeze. Breakfast was light, but sweetened with fruit and honey for the energy. Mine was that of a chickweed salad with almonds and a small dollop of coral carpenter honey, along with a large, cold glass of sweet tea. It is said by the priests that you should eat white foods on a day like this, to honor the moon goddess. Rich foods and strong drinks were discouraged, to eat such would risk cramps or sleeping through the ceremonies.

It was very wise advice on such a warm day, for many were yawning as they made way to the temple. Everyone wore white, soft linen or silk wrapped firmly around our bodies. No other ornaments on such a day, a day we were all equal in the blessing of our goddess Luna.  We waited patiently in the large opening before the temple, the blue and white tile would soon be our grounds of worship. I could feel a mix of impatience and joy within my antennae, like the air before a storm it crackled.

TideHeart and TideSoul, our Arch priest and priestess of Lionfish Isles, stood on the temple steps and called us to attention. Then they sang, alas I weep that you cannot hear their song, a song of worship and beauty that brought many a tear to eye that day. They sang the story of our goddess, how her song and dance so moved her brother that his light was dimmed before her beauty. As the song ended, we stretched our heads upward, our eyelids closed but light still shining before our eyes. A flicker of dark covered the sun, Luna had begun her dance!

Water rushed from the temple steps, covering the tiles and cooling our claws. A roar of happiness and laughter filled the crowd, and we danced. We danced just like our goddess, our feet whirling, wings splashing, and our voices singing high, songs of the glory of the moon and her daughter- songs of the love of Tidelord for his heavenly mate.  We called her back to us, to our world, and her beauty filled our hearts with the wildness of the night.  

We did not stop till the moon had passed over the sun completely, her heavenly gown no longer darkening the sky. We awoke, like dreamers from a long dream, panting heavy breathes and happy sighs, a tired joy over the end of the dance. Oddly enough, another was found in our midst- a Fire dragon no less! She had been aboard a ship in the harbor, for there was a ban prohibiting the sailors from joining- for to join in this celebration was to bind oneself forever to our clan. Yet she had heard our call, felt the beat of the footsteps, and became one with the emotion of our hearts. It is a good omen to have a new dragon come to the clan during such a time, and to our delight she has agreed to be permanent resident.

Yes, EclipseFlare the Skydancer, has found a new home in our clan. She was festooned in white, fragrant plumeria, and carried by the clan around the city as the Moon Queen of the day (I could feel her joy and surprise even amongst the crowd!). After the parade, we feasted on many variety of foods- it seems the chefs, BengalBlaze and SummerSnow, wished to make this event a grand one! There was a mix of cold and spicy dishes, from freshly made sushi and shaved ice to blacktongue pepper-fried ghost crab and jerked game fowl. But truly, the most magnificent of the dishes was the goat cream cheesecakes with a menagerie of sauces! Strawberry, seaberry, cherries, lemon, melon, and orange sauces made a rainbow of the moon-shaped cakes. I shall greedily admit I had slice of almost every type, and my stomach is telling me now that is was a mistake.

But a little regret does not ruin a festival! And I shall remember this amazing event till my last swim in the sea.

Spine curves as she bends backwards ever so slightly; a smooth sidestep accompanied by the ruffle of skirts  /  tips of her fingers brushing against his chin for the merest of moments as laughter like bells falls from her lips. Glee buried within her ribcage, a dangerous thing she doesn’t allow to come to light all too often. “My dear.” 

No regard for personal space as a quick step brings her back to his side  /  palm of her hand sliding up his arm. It is a dance she has learned a long time ago, one she has mastered into perfection. Black curls fall free from the orange fabric she has used to tie them up with, a waterfall to the side of her face as red painted lips are near the shell of his ear; whispers thickly with an accept of sun-soaked lands. 

“Maybe you haven’t realized I’m your enemy just yet.”
