Recent fic that you enjoyed: I’ve been reading so many good fics lately as I’m catching up on a decade+ of work, but Song of the Hearth by @howlinchickhowl comes to mind. (and idk why everyone is being so hard on the soup....that’s pretty much what soup is??)

Enemies to lovers or friends to lovers?: YOU CAN’T MAKE ME CHOOSE I WON’T DO IT. (I love a good back and forth. I don’t like serious enemies-enemies most of the time but a rivalry or two people who can give as good as they get in the snark department? Yeah, that.)

Favorite scene/moment from your current hyperfixation: Oh, god. Stop making me choose shit! Mickey’s speech on the side walk about what love means? That boy knows what it’s about.

Favorite pair of shoes: It might be a tie between two pairs of red heels I have...haven’t had reason to wear either of them since before the pandemic and am having one of those days where my knees hurt just thinking about them. But hopefully I’ll dust them off eventually!

Aquarium or museum: I’ve been to enough aquariums now that I’d probably say museum. I’m the person that drags you into the little museums and stops to read the signs on road trips and trails.

Leverage for the series thing!

Been stalling on this one because I knew I’d end up sticking to the main team and repeating characters and also just picking one of them for each thing is hard.

Give me a series and I will tell you:

Character I’d want as a best friend: Probably Parker. But Hardison is awesome too.

Character I’d want as a parent: Hardison I think. I like his normal is what works for you philosophy as passed down by Nana and the way he’s emotionally intuitive and encouraging. I think all of them have the potential to be good parents though.

Character I’d want as a sibling: Possibly also Hardison. Or Parker.

Character I’d want as a significant other: Eliot. Not even going to try and justify myself. lol. Besides which I can’t split Parker and Hardison up in my head even as a what if. Major OTP warning y’all.

Character I’d want as a child: Parker. Or, and I know this probably sounds weird, Nate. His father really did a number on him. 

Character I’d want as a weird in-law: Nate and Sophie…oops thought this was plural. But Nate and Sophie. Or Hardison and Parker.

She’s been on her own long enough now that she thinks she’s got the hang of it. Of being Rory Gilmore, who is everything and nothing like her mother, who is a small town girl and a big city journalist, of liking books more than most people, but hating to be alone.

Some Less Nebulous Thing That's Supposed To Be A LWFTWT's Lit. AU

She wanted to say it’s not because I don’t love you, because I do. But she hadn’t told him she loved him yet and she was afraid if she did it would tip the balance. She’d go or he’d stay.

“It’s not because I don’t want to be with you," she said instead. "Because I do. But I can’t be…”

She paused again, looking for the right words, thinking of all the times her mother didn’t fight to keep Christopher tied down, tied to them. There were lots of reasons, but only one that mattered at the moment. “I can’t be your reason. I mean, I can’t be the only reason. Who you want to be, what you want to be, you have to figure that out. I don’t ever want to wonder if you’re with me because you don’t have anything else good in your life."

Future Lit. AU Where Things Get Complicated When Serious Shit Goes Down Because of Liz and TJ(Luke and Lorelai are married, Rory and Jess keep in touch in a we're kind of family now sort of way before the story begins, set a few years after the end of the series)

“Get her to sleep?” Rory asked quietly, looking up from her laptop.

“Yeah.” Jess nodded, tired. He sank down onto the other end of the couch.

Rory went back to the email she’d been reading, wincing at the subtext. Her boss's patience with her absence was wearing thin. Jess’s voice took her by surprise.

“What are you doing here, Rory?”

She frowned. He hadn’t sounded accusatory, but he’d sounded resigned. When she looked over, the all too familiar weight around her heart came back. He looked a lot like the person he had been a decade ago. Lean, sharp lines, eyes that tried to be angry but just settled somewhere around wounded if you were actually looking closely enough.

“You needed…you needed help.” She shook her head, as though it were obvious. Me had been on the tip of her tongue.

Jess let out a harsh breath. Rory felt a flicker of fear. For just a moment, she was back in a pink bedroom and her life was about to change irrevocably.

“And I appreciate that,” Jess said, rubbing his thumb between his eyes. “But I know you should have been back at your job a week ago and Doula’s…” Jess made another sound of frustration.

“She’s what, Jess?”

I can be socially abrasive/awkward. Sometimes without meaning to, sometimes because I think a lot of social games people play are stupid. I understand them. I just think they’re false or unnecessary. (Though I never mean to be unkind to innocent people)

I have that mastermind tendency of doing what has to be done and/or what will get results that Parker and Nate share(Though I’m sure Parker has had to do things to survive that I never have).

I would fall in love with Hardison too. Having Eliot around wouldn’t hurt anything. ;)

I didn’t grow up in the system.

I’m not a thief or a gymnast and I’m not fond of heights….that counts as one thing when it comes to Parker right?

Set on fire: Probably Dean. Though there are some times I’d like to have threatened to burn Rory’s favorite sweater unless she sat down and paid attention to her own feelings and why she was having break downs and making bad decisions.

Wrap a blanket around: Teen Jess. That boy needed to be hugged god damn it. Not that he’d have let anybody wrap him in a blanket. Sometimes Rory. She needed one of those best friends who would sit down and be like, “Okay, I know I told you this was a really bad idea, but I’m only going to say I told you so once. a pairing you want to see more: If we could have had Aimee back at any point in the series, I’d have done cartwheels. But I immensely enjoyed the episode where we got to see Nate and Sophie as a couple and a team with the art theft thing and would have loved more of that.
